Good location but be sure to book parking if driving otherwise you'll need to use a public parking garage, which depending on when you go (we went during the Christmas market season and it was insanely busy) you may need to walk a little.

This is our fourth time to stay at the Park Post Hotel.
We consider this our home away from home when we visit beautiful Freiburg. The staff have been the same for the last years of our visits and are so welcoming each time we visit.
The hotel is full of charm and interest as each of their rooms is dedicated to a literary author from Germany who have stayed at the hotel themselves. It has a wonderful intimate feeling. The breakfast is always fresh and delicious. The breakfast room is rather small and can be congested especially on weekends. The staff were so kind and very helpful. We did not partake in the breakfast, looked good though. They were kind enough to bring a hot water kettle to my room so I could make my tea.
An extra they had was a bowl of fresh fruit near the elevator and some individual wrapped candies you could take with you. Beautiful hotel, quiet and centrally located you can walk into town. A wonderful grocery/deli just across the street and a Woolworths next door to purchase anything you may have forgotten or some souvenirs to take home.

What an absolutely delightful experience! This gem of a hotel is located in a picturesque little town with a stunning medieval cathedral and gorgeous streetscapes. The hotel staff went above and beyond, offering complimentary chocolates and water, with a breakfast to die for. Say yes to this hotel, but leave room for us because we will be back!

What a wonderful stay. The hotel is conviniently located about 3 to 5 minutes walk from the main train station but far away enough that its quiet. Is it very near the altstadt, another 5 minutes walk.

The property is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of places ti catch dinerr, especiially around the Church. I really do suggest the property for anyone who wants to visit Freiburg.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well presented but the bathroom was poor. To use the shower, it was over the bath but the bath tapered away to very narrow at the end where you stand to shower. Not quite sure how \" bigger\" people would use it. We don't like showers over baths at any time but this was terrible. Breakfast was fine and staff were lovely. Car parking a bit complicated but worked out thanks to gps.

The property was great. It is located in a great location and is extremely walkable. It is also close to the main train station (but far enought away) and on a tram line. The hotel is located directly across from a park and a great museum. Within minutes you are in the Alstadt (old part of the city.

Fabulous hotel close to everything
The hotel was excellent. It was close to the main station and an easy walk to the Christmas Markets and City Centre and trams. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to the point where they made us a takeaway breakfast on the morning we left as we had to leave at 6am. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The Hotel is well placed and easily found from the Railway and Bus Station (we came from Basel on a Flixbus service who also do a coach transfer direct to Basel Airport). The City centre is easily walked to from this Hotel.
The breakfast room is a little small for the number of rooms at this Hotel but we always were provided with a table. It just gets a little cramped around the self-service area when its busy. There was plenty of continental breakfast choice and the food was of a good quality and taste. We enjoyed it every day. It would be a nice touch if there was a little background music added to the experience.
We had a room on the third floor overlooking the park. It was a large room and had a great separate bathroom which was huge with a walk-in shower, separate bathtub and his & hers washbasins. Towels were refreshed every day if you wanted.
The air-conditioning unit was quiet and it was needed as it was quite hot when we visited (22-28 degrees). The beds were comfortable although they did get a little too hot for us. I needed an extra pillow which the Hotel were happy to accommodate.
All the staff, including the room servicing, breakfast and reception teams were very friendly even though we are English (that's a joke by the way!).
We could get tickets for the trains, trams and buses from the Reception staff. The public transport system has three circular zones. The central zone is free and covers most of the city centre and out to about 4 kms.

What a wonderful hotel in an exceptionally good location near Altstadt and the Hauptbahnhof! The “culture and literature” theme made it quite charming and cozy. Books were on shelves everywhere, including in the room, and free fruit was available for snacking in the lobby at all hours. The bed was very comfortable and the room quite clean. I would definitely book here again.

Park Hotel Post is in a great location if you're coming in via train. It couldn't be more than 1/4 mile walk from the station, and is a short walk away from the sights in Old Town. The service was exceptional, and the front desk staff is super helpful and kind. Decor is a little quirky and fun, and the bed was comfortable. We especially liked the blackout blinds so we could sleep in. Each morning, there was a buffet-style breakfast. Overall, we had a very nice stay at Park Hotel Post.

Das Hotelkonzept zeugt von großer Kreativität und hohem Engagement, denn wo können Gäste neben Literatur noch Informationen über Baumarten und echte Bodenprofile erhalten. Wir waren auf der Rückreise von der Côte d’Azur für eine Zwischenübernachtung im Park Hotel Post und haben uns von der anstrengenden Fahrt sehr gut erholen können. Für uns ist das Haus nun eine fest eingeplante Zwischenstation für Rückreisen aus Südeuropa. Vielen Dank!

Las cuatro estrellas del alojamiento no se corresponden con el estado de las habitaciones que han quedado bastante obsoletas. Mobiliario anticuado, moqueta desgastada y baño poco práctico. Lo mejor es la ubicación a un minuto de la zona peatonal, pero al estar fuera de ella se puede llegar en coche hasta la puerta del establecimiento.
