We absolutely adored our stay at Fenomen Plitvice Resort. The location is outstanding with the most picturesque overlook of the park 500 meters from the property. Additionally, we were able to walk from the resort to the P3 entrance to the park. The hotel had a wonderful free breakfast and allowed you to reserve a private 40 min spa session which was outstanding after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed two dinners at the restaurant and had a lovely experience (with delicious Croatian wine) both times. Highly recommend this resort!

This was a unique property in the \"woods.\" Beautiful \"campus.\" We were impressed by its cleanliness and service. I would definitely stay there again. However, be mindful of the season of your travel. We went in mid-Oct and it was cold (we're Californians) but were unable to use the heater since the cold season hadn't started.

Great location behind the big waterfall, where you could see it from the top with a 5 min walk.

It is perfect by a car to go to the hotel or you will need a taxi to the hotel from the entrances or major bus stations in the area (around 30 euros as of April 2025).

The property was exceptional with beautiful decorations and quality furniture, and was extremely comfortable in the beautiful nature. You can walk to enter the park through a location near the upper lake port. If you take this option, I think you might better to buy a ticket on line in advance as you will need a ticket to ride on a boat to go to lower lake. Of course you can go to entrance 1 by your car or a taxi. The staffs were very helpful giving advices on my plan in the park.

We spend two nights at a room for a couple. The breakfast was excellent, the staff attentive and polite, the room was clean and well maintained. Plitvice national park is a short walk away so we could enjoy the nature without having to start the car during our stay. We are looking forward to our next visit when we need a break in the nature.

Very cold and uncomfortable lodging (Pinus)

We stayed in the 2 bedroom house called Pinus in November which meant it was quite cold and was below freezing overnight. It is heated with ONLY a fireplace which took us at least 6 hours to get the rooms to a comfortable warmth. This was a big problem for us, because we had spent the whole day walking in the national park and just wanted warmth.

The disappointing part is that the staff know that this house does not have a heating system, and it seemed like the fireplace had only been lit shortly before we arrived. We assume that noone had stayed in the lodging the night before, because it took so long to warm up the floors, furniture, etc. We had to get up several times during the night to put more firewood in the fireplace to keep the place warm.

Knowing the low temperature of the time of year and how long it takes a small fireplace to heat an entire \"cabin,\" we would have expected the staff to start the fireplace much earlier in the day.

Additionally, there was no glove provided to open the fireplace door which was VERY HOT to the touch. We did call reception and they sent housekeeping with a cloth.

Also, we were disappointed that if we used more than one tea bag or instant coffee packet per person, we would be charged 3 euros for each additional one. This policy seemed out of sorts for the pricing of the lodging. I had read about this in one of the reviews and frankly thought it must have been a mistake but found out that it was true (see picture attached).

The entry to the park via gate 3 is convenient but I wouldn’t want to use it the first day in the park. Entry one is great! Do not hesitate to book this hotel

Beautifully arranged resort-like grounds with rustically-elegant individual cottages. An excellent restaurant is on the grounds, and there are lots of well-landscaped paths and gardens. A nice surprise that this is a \"real\" hotel organization in a country where many of the so-called hotels are often just conglomerates of airbnb unts owned and grouped by one absentee owner.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel during our visit to Plitvice National Park. The location is a 15 min drive for accessing the park, which made our trip easier. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite that was both spacious and well-equipped, including a full kitchenette, which added a lot of comfort to our stay. The room was quiet, making it easy to relax and the staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even more pleasant. We had entrance tickets for 7am (before breakfast started), so they made us lunch boxes—they were tasty and convenient. Parking was easy and stress-free. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

We would stay in this beautiful lake area however feel that the 'luxury' component to this site is missing somewhat & their serving staff need more training in customer service. We had good experience from reception staff he didn't have an attitude. We would recommend the closeness to the unofficial gate 3 to access the park. Poor sleeping arrangements with beds not comfortable - average stay overall.

Beautiful stop to visit Plitvice

Pros: location is superb, you can easily walk to beautiful vistas, and one of the entrances to the park, staff were lovely, place was clean.

Cons: (delivered in the spirit of improvement!) We could only use the hot tub once because you only get one booking even with a two night trip. It’s nice that you have it to yourself for an hour but the charge is 30euro if you want to use it again. I’m sure giving each cottage an hour a day is doable.

There was only enough hot water for one shower and wait, or 2 very fast showers. Learned the hard way! (Just mention it upon check in!)

There is a charge for tea bags if you use more than the two complimentary. I don’t even drink tea but this is not a warm and hospitable message. Provide 2 a day for the $200+/ day. It was hard to tell if you’re trying to be economy or luxury. (Be luxury! The place is beautiful enough but no teabag messages!!)

Finally the cottage is supposed to sleep 3 people, we had 2 twin beds. Nothing was in the upstairs loft. Didn’t need it but wonder if that’s where the third bed would be?

Proper 5 star resort. Felt very luxorious in the middle of the woods. It was a quick 15 minutes ride to entrance one. The spa was awesome too after so much walking. We dined in the restaurant and did not love it. It was expensive for mediocre food a d pretty small portions. Next time we would be very happy to stay there again but would go off property for dinner. Also receptionistwas extremely knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for your help

We loved staying here for our visit to Plitvice. The rooms were spotless and so beautifully decorated. The staff takes your luggage on a golf cart leaving you to meander your way to your cabin. The shower was very nice and spacious which is great after a long day of hiking. There were a ton of family-friendly activities like lawn bowling, ping-pong etc, all outside in the perfect Croatian weather. We ate at the cafe most meals and everything was tasty.. We almost didn't walk to the lookout from the property since we were tired from the park, but wow! The view from a 5 minute walk from the hotel is one of the best views I saw. Wish I had done it after dinner and a glass of wine. I highly recommend this hotel. One thing to note, the drive up to it is pretty intense, you need to be on your game to do the narrow roads.

We came off season, snowed the 2 days before we came and the 2 after we left, it was beautiful. Just took us a little longer to arrive which the staff was very accommodations on check in and keeping the kitchen open for us.
Cabins and rooms were beautiful and extremely comfortable and my wife LOVED the heated bathroom floors.

I am finding it hard to find words to describe how magical this hotel/resort was on a beautiful 75 degree day in May. The grounds are pristine and feel like a summer camp for adults (kids will love too). Everything from the service, to the meals, to the rooms, to the public spaces, to the spa were immaculate and creative. You are 500m from the best views in the park on top of the big waterfall. We only got to stay one night, but are already making plans to bring a larger group of family. It was rustic luxury like I’ve not encountered before!

We had a nice stay, we didn't realize the hotel was more like a really nice camp ground (all the buildings were separated into cabins). It definitely had a nice rustic feel to it.

Due to covid we were one of the only couples there though so it felt a bit awkward to have nobody else around. We were the only ones eating for each meal. The food was good but a bit pricey, the wine was pricey as well. I think it would be a lovely place to stay in warmer weather, especially for families! There were plenty of outdoor activities, a fire pit, an outdoor grill, etc.

Loved the room and the meals, and Leo was awesome!
Just hoped the front desk lady can be a little more helpful, otherwise everything else was perfect at Fenomen.
