I know that a number of reviews mention the price of the meal on site...but my comment to that is you pay for what you get. The meal was great and the portions are VERY generous, and are served to you in beautiful garden setting...and you could drink and not have to drive!!!

Good location, but not enough service provided

The room looked very nice with a nice view to the lawn and trees. The single beds there too cramped to the roof, so you can't extend youe legs as an adult.
No glasses provided. When asked instead of giving we were told to ask someone else to give from the restaurant, which wasn't very clear.
No blinds/shutter on the windows so you will wake up with the first rays of sun.
We were offered BBQ at the place, but the prices seemed quite steep and we've got almost same dishes half price in a near by restaurant.
Wifi was quiet bad and didn't work in terrace or other bėda of the room. Also for password had to go and ask instead of providing on check in.
When tourist tax was paid, no receipt was given.
The place is quite nice, but lacking a bit of hospitality.
Otherwise the room was clean and quiet most of the night, but we got woken up by loud music from outside at 5am.

We simply LOVED our brief stay at House Tina. Lovely apartment, setting and hosts. Travelling with 2 kids (6&4) the room with the loft sleeping area gave us loads of space and the location off the main road (many other places i had considered we saw are directly on the main road) meant it was a safe and fun place for the children to play (in the chilly pool and kids play area) and for us to relax. We enjoyed the BBQ dinner by the husband of the house and lovely service from their son. It was €17 per adult and they did enough for the kids too and gave us extra chips when we asked. Also had cheesecake for pudding, lollies and biscuits for the kids but thought it would be nice/ a quick win to have icecream available for the kids. Drinks in the restaurant are limited to wine, beers and soft drinks but we just reminded ourselves this is a guest house and not a fully fledged restaurant. We slept comfortably and enjoyed delicious breakfast in the morning including freshly cooked scrambled eggs. It was all perfect, so easy for a couple of days at the lakes and waterfalls and we would definitely recommend or return if we came again.

An amazing experience! The service was outstanding here. We needed tickets adjusted to the park and they were right on it for us. They mentioned we could have dinner there and it was the best bbq we had during our entire trip, and it was so reasonably priced. Breakfast was amazing too!! Loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!

This was such a nice stay. The person at check in, Doloris, was terrific, so friendly and helpful. We were able to have a large load of laundry done here for under $10. The room was incredibly clean. It looked brand new. The beds were so cute and the air conditioning worked VERY well! We had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was very good!

A nice B&B close from Pritvice toward Zagreb

My iPhone GPS got me to the wrong location on the main street in Grabovac. Their site has the accurate map. You have to make a right at the main crossing in Grabovac and turn left and proceed about 400m to get to their place. It's big house with a red roof.

The staff is nice. The room is clean and comfortable. They have swings, a seesaw and a miniature soccer field with goals, an ideal place for families with little kids.

Their dinner ( mixed meat or fish ) was delicious and reasonable.

The location was great, a quiet neighborhood close to the lakes. The family room that we booked had some service issues, so they found us a room across the street which was great. We were given free breakfast to compensate us for our troubles. The staff was very helpful in giving advice on visiting the national park and directions to other locations. The meat and fish plates for supper were amazing. There are also activities for the kids: ping pong, mini soccer field and a playground.

We had a wonderful experience at Tina's house. The staff was overwhelmingly courteous friendly and helpful. The Inn has a playground for children and is up on a little bluff so that the surrounding landscape is displayed. We opted for the optional meal and were treated to a magnificent mixed grill for myself and fish for my wife. The gentleman serving the fish even took time to show my wife how to debone it. They have a little bar that serves at very very reasonable prices. Yes it is true that they do not accept credit cards, and the location is about a 20 minute ride to plitvice, but I would stay here again.

All thr good things you have heard are true... but

There are many positive reviews on several site about House Tina Bed and Breakfast. It is very close to Plitvice (10 minutes drive), the rooms are of fairly good size, the breakfast is fresh and filling, the owner will provide good tips on what to see in the park, other things to do/see in the area and even recommend certain routes (vs GPS) for your next destination. They also have a mixed grill or fish BBQ offered nightly as dining options in town do exists but are limited.

Two things to watch for: The soundproofing is non-existent. People moving up/down the stairs will create quite a bit of noise in some of the rooms. Also, although Expedia lists this hotel as accepting credit cards, it does not really wants you to. My welcome to the hotel was: We want cash, please...

The owner, Milan, is very friendly and welcoming (and multilingual in Croatian, German, French, English, etc.) -- be sure to follow his advice on the best route to walk through Plitvice Lakes in order to minimize the crowds. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, and each one had its own balcony. The location was about 10 minutes from the park entrance, so very convenient. The evening dinner was one of the best we had in the country -- grilled fresh trout and several very tasty side dishes all served family style on the terrace.

Great place to stay!

We stayed here during our visit to Plitvice National Park. The location is about 5-10 minutes from the park....just far enough to get away from all the commotion! LOL! The owners were friendly and helpful with information on the best way to see the park.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable, even though it was not overly large. We enjoyed dinner with them the first night. Food was plentiful, nicely presented and extremely tasty! They have a large separate add-on building with a large, nice dining room and kitchen. And the breakfasts were also delicious with lots of choices for breakfast. They have modern stainless fixtures and appliances in a well designed facility. In fact House Tina was one of two establishments that offered the best food we had during our 3 week tour of Croatia and Slovenia.

I highly recommend staying at House Tina!

Ideal small B & B on the doorstep of Plitvice Lake

Fabulous good clean spacious rooms. New build with high quality new bathrooms and efficient heating. Best breakfast we had in the whole of Croatia - no cheap cereals, coffee or UHT milk. Good fast and free Internet. Tina's house also do barbecues in the evening during summer. Would definitely use again.

House Tina was the ideal base for a short stay in and around the Plitvice Lakes area. Within 10 minutes drive of the National Park I'd imagine the primary reason for staying is here is location. But such was the friendly and open nature of the people that run House Tina, it's also quite close to a home stay in feel. I'd recommend anyone to take the dinner option: excellent home cooked, wholesome family style barbecues were the order of the door. The only issue I would have is that the walls inside the house are very thin, and if you have noisy neighbours at night, it can be a bit of a pain.

We loved our cottage at House Tina. Our 2 and 4 year old enjoyed playing outside at the small playground and even on our porch in the rocks. The bunk beds were really fun for them. We were offered a dinner service (for a fee) which was delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend, especially if visiting Plitvice Lakes.

A little out of the way and difficult to find. Recommended restaurant poor, when there was a far better one closer. Lack of air conditioning and hair dryer unfortunate. There had been a lightning strike, so we were without a television and Wifi which was not the hotel's fault, but it would have been helpful had we been told in advance that we needed to pay cash to settle the bill.

Plitvice is a must see!

Many options in area. This is the one that we found had an English website. Americans have not found this place, but it is amazing. I would not spend more than two nights. Having lunch in Bihac in Bosnia was fun and now I can say that I have been to Bosnia.

We stayed in the main house up stairs. Really good experience. Only minor gotchas were no shampoo/soap and like most of the B&Bs in this area, you're not that close to anything. One restaurant is easily walkable (5 min). For all else, you need to drive.

Host was awesome. She really did a great job of helping us get out the door early when we had a tight schedule and one night a bunch of the guests spontaneously formed a little gathering... and our host helped us find some beer!

As for the park... you HAVE to avoid the crowds. Go early or late, or plan to do far-upper lakes.

Welcoming place near Plitvice Nat'l Park

This place is conveniently located near Plitvice National Park. My husband and I went in mid-March - so we were absolutely off-season, meaning that we were the only tourists staying at Tina B&B and one of the few tourists in this area. The owners were very welcoming and they served us a good breakfast in their home. Convenient to explore the surroundings!

Nous vous conseillons le BBQ le soir que ce soit le mix grill ou alors cette fabuleuse truite !
Parking dispo sur place et piscine très agréable.
Seul petit bémol, nous étions à la chambre 3, un peu bruyant (cela résonne un peu dans les parties communes).
Nous conseillons vivement cet hôtel.
Enfin, petit déjeuner excellent.

이틀 숙박하였습니다. 이곳을 결정한 이유가 가격도 그렇지만 플리트비체 국립공원과 라스토케 마을 사이 중간에 위치해 있어, 두곳 다 방문하기 무척 편했기 때문이었습니다.
조식은 기본 유럽식 이었고, 스크램블과 에스프레소, 카푸치노는 주문하시면 무료로 따로 만들어 드립니다. 저녁은 BBQ 주문만 가능하였고, 이틀 동안 첫날 meat BBQ, 둘쨋날 치킨 BBQ 먹었습니다.
BBQ는 맛이 없을 수가 없죠..야채를 같이 구워주는데 야채가 엄청 맛있습니다...가격 또한 너무 저렴하고 양이 엄청나서, 너무 배부르게 먹었습니다.

Comfortable stay !

We enjoyed our stay very much. The host is very friendly, try to accommodate all our need, making us feel home. Because we want to enter Plitvice Park early, they prepared lunch packs for us. The dinner BBQ is also very delicious. We have excellent time here!

Petit hotel tres bien tenu par un personel a l ecoute. Petit dej inclus tres copieux et le soir ils proposent un bbq pour 17 euros... le tout autour d’ une belle piscine et a seulement 8 min de l entree 1 du parc. Je recommande vivement!

A pousada é extremamente aconchegante, tranquila, os proprietários são muito gentis. A noite podísmos jantar na própria pousada, onde o dono preparou um churrasco delicioso (pagamento `a parte). Proxima estão várias outras pousadas, aparentemente semelhantes, porém o acesso de ônibus vindo de outra cidade e para o parque é complicado. Ideal para quem está de carro. Fiquei muito satisfeita com minha escolha.
