The grounds were beautiful, with lots of spaces set up throughout to sit outside, either lounging by the pool, or by tables to enjoy snacks and drinks. Our room was small but clean and very quiet. We were minutes away from the National Park and there was a nice little restaurant across the street. Would stay here again!

Very ordinary breakfast... especcially for 15 Euros. We had much better at places where it was included.

Location: Very good location for visiting the national Park. It is a 5 min drive to Gate 2 parking lot. There is a Bistro directly across the street where you can have a good dinner. Hotel: A series of building with a variety of room types. Great for kids as there is a pool on site. A convenient and nice breakfast can be purchased on site. Room: We had the room in a stand alone building that was over 2 levels. Bedrooms in the loft. It was good for us but someone with large bags of physical challenges should avoid as the stairs up are steep. The internet connection in this building was lacking. Staff: Nice, direct and clear on directions. We enjoyed our stay in the area.

We enjoyed the unique style of this property -it was quaint, quiet and the beautiful greenery and landscaping made it a cozy place to relax. The stones in the parking lot made it more challenging to move our heavy luggage. For the price we paid, we would have liked more breakfast options that weren't so starch/bread heavy, as I am gluten-free and my boyfriend has diabetes. There were a lot of desserts/cereal/breads, but couldn't have any of them and I'm not a fan of having cured meat and cheese for breakfast. Other than that, this is definitely a stay worth considering!

We booked on expedia. We stayed here as it had a higher hotel rating. When we checked in we were shown to a small outdoor building in centre of the parking lot. Cars were parked on all sides. When we went into the building it was a small room with a small table and very narrow spiral staircase going up to twin beds. You couldnt take luggage up. The bathroom was off the front door. The toliet was not attached properly to floor and shower was the same. When we used them water leaked on the floor. There was hardly any toilet paper or towels. We could hear people all day and night as they were coming and going in parking lot (where our room was). we just made the best of it.

Definitely not as pleasing as was advertised. The rooms are much smaller and not as nice as in the pictures and the condition of the stairs was quite literally shaky. To our surprise there was no restaurant at the hotel and the staff was baffled when we asked, despite it being mentioned in the hotel description and the keycard had the opening hours listed. So silly us I guess? What was not mentioned however, was that we could not pay our room with a credit card (which we later found out is highly unusual for this area) and finding a working ATM in this semi-secluded area is a pain. Overall I would not recommend and for anyone looking for accommodation in the area I would suggest choosing one of the nearby slightly more expensive options.

The hotel is in a nice location (close to Plitivce park) and the room was clean however the main lady working at check is SOOOOOO incredibly and unnecessarily rude. I will definitely not stay here ever again especially considering that apparently the hotel right across the street is great. The only reason I chose this hotel was because of the pool but it’s not heated and was so freezing cold my kids couldn’t stay in it for long. There are definitely better options.

A further walk into the woods (maybe another 10 minutes was another restaurant called Pollyanna (again not the actual name but what we called it). Beautiful scenery and good food - Staff were lovely!
The park itself as beautiful and well worth the price… The big waterfall is something else… A choice of several walks at different distances to walk, we did H which took about 3.5 hours. Definitely go to the park AM as in the afternoon it gets extremely busy! Also bring waterproofs/ umbrella and good walking shoes/trainers.

Super clean, nice blend of rustic and modern decor. The family that runs the place is so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back; they are located about 7 minutes down the road from Plitvice Lakes National Park.

It’s right in the Plitvicka Jezera National Park, making it very convenient to visit the park early in the morning to avoid the crowds from tourist groups. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. However, the staff was not service oriented or friendly. When my wife asked them to replace a glass with broken edge, they were very reluctant to do so.

A pleasure to stay at Plitvice Etno House. A lovely family run business, kept in immaculate condition. The dinners are a lovely homely touch to an outdoor day. Breakfast was great.

Beautiful hotel incredibly close to the national park. Really no need to stay at the national park as you can drive within minutes from here. Polite staff, good selection for breakfast and beautiful rooms. Also a swimming pool but we didn't get to use it as it was raining when we were there.
Only one improvement, the hotel only accepts payment in cash so recommend that you visit the local ATMs if needed. Would be useful if the hotel could get a card reader.

A fair bit of money looks to have been spent here. Lovely marble floors. Everything clean, good beds and shower. There are very pleasant areas on different levels around the pool to sit. It is about 10 min drive to Plitvice Lakes entrance 2. Food was pretty good if a tad uninspired, but there is not a lot of option is this area, especially if you don't have a car or like a drink. There is a pretty OK pizza place in walking distance, but if you are going to walk, take a torch. Definitely a very good choice to stay for visiting the lakes, which are unique and stunning

Having read many reviews about poor food and poor service here, was pleasantly surprised to find neither poor! Staff were efficient and friendly and food tasty and plentiful provided you are entering expecting Dalmatian cuisine and a European breakfast rather than a full English! Room was a little snug for two tall people with sloped ceilings being on top floor, and air con I couldn’t figure out and managed to end up heating myself (but sure that was just me!) also strange to have two separate single duvets on a double bed!...otherwise rooms good...fridge and hairdryer hand and good shower! Location for Plitvice entrance 2 was also perfect...5 min drive or 30min walk (along the main road and not for everyone although we didn’t mind it!) If I were to stay in the area again, would definitely consider returning here

Great little room. Comfy bed. Dinner if you want it is good. We had an early start so they made us a packed lunch instead of breakfast which we thought was a lovely gesture. They have a pool, gym and sauna there but we didn’t use as we had a one night stay.

This is a very new facility with clean, basic furnishings. The bathroom was very nice. It's on a busy highway and I heard traffic all night long. Also, be aware that they only accept cash in their currency. When I went to check out, I had to go to an ATM in the park entrance to get Kn. She said it was in the Travelocity booking agreement but I couldn't find it. A great place to stay before going to the waterfall park! Breakfast was very good and homey.

The hotel feels very comfortable and seems like it might have been recently refurbished as everything felt quite new. The kitchen onsite has a limited selection but was still tasty and well priced. The grounds are nice and it's only a short 5-10 minute drive to Entrance 2 on the national park.

Plitvice Etno House was very nice in location, comfortable bed, and a great dinner you could order a little ahead of time! (See photo) There were two or three menu choices, and we were very satisfied with the mixed meats! Also good breakfasts. The only problem with Etno House was that the room (Economy size, Room 11B) was tiny. We travel with only standard airline carry-on sized bags, no checked through large luggage. Nevertheless, there was very little room on either side of the bed, nor at the foot, so you had to walk sideways and put everything away immediately, as the bed served as the only real surface area. One of our roll-on bags actually had to be stored on the bathroom floor between shower stall and toilet! Also, in many places throughout Europe, a Queen or King bed comes with two sheets/blankets rather than one to put over both sleeper, and this is how it was at Etno House. (See photo) I do not know why this European bed system exists, but beds at Etno House have these strange split sheets/blankets. The only reason I would not stay here again is the size of the room. My advice: Inquire about room size to fit your needs.

The facilities were very nice and it was located very close to the national park, which was very convenient. They offer a nice (but not fancy) dinner each evening for an additional charge, which is helpful as there are few restaurants in the area.

The hotel was hard to find. We followed the directions on the hotels.com confirmation and it took us 25 min in the wrong direction.Check in was fast and easy. Although I thought I had paid on hotels.com I had to pay cash at the hotel. The wifi did not work the whole time we were there either. The rooms were ok in style but I found a wad of someone else's hair in the bed and the mini fridge was disgusting.The window lock was broken as well. There was breakfast for a charge and it was ok. The dinner menu was very limited without any good choices for kids. The description said 2 min walk to the park and it was more like a 7-10 min drive to entrance 2. There is only a few close places to eat so be prepared to drive everywhere. Over all the stay was mediocre at best.

Charming B&B in a beautiful location
This is a great place to visit Plitvice National part. Close enough to the park entrance but away from the crowds. The Etno house also has a nice restaurant and we had a wonderful dinner one evening. The staffs are very nice and friendly. I do highly recommend them.

The situation was excellent, being so near the entrance to the Lakes. The bathroom was superb, large and well appointed. However, the bedroom was very small - more the size of a single room, with nowhere to put even small cases, and very little storage space.

My only issue was gaining access to the loft, tight stairs which are hard to navigate. But, this seems to be common in Europe.

The staff were amazing, cannot stress this enough. The good was fantastic if you like local foods, and the service was second to none. The room was not large, but was well laid out and had a great view and modern facilities. The pool is small, that is ok, but it was not heated so was very chilly.

Simple rooms with a decent breakfast that do the trick for one night. Close to Gate 2, if you are arriving by bus get off at stop mukinje which is a short walk away. The woman on the reception desk leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service, we found her quite rude and abrupt although the rest of the team were pleasant to deal with. You'll need to bring cash to pay for your stay which is an inconvenience.

Hotel well situated for the park. Superior room lovely however the bathroom of room 15 has reduced save as the stairs to the top floor jut in. This makes fornlittlebhead space even for someone of 5 foot 3 inches! Fridge ineffective. Nice dinner and breakfast

A great place to stay and very friendly staff. Free breakfast is very good. Dinner is little expensive but great. Hotel is located approx. 3 km from park entrance 2 and offers a shuttle service at 3 euro per person each way. Upon arrival we realized that we had left our camera bag and medication on the bus. The staff called the bus company to locate our bag and drove us to their depot to retrieve it.

The hotel was not inexpensive but a decent value relative to overall prices in the area. The biggest downside was that they did not take credit cards and also that they charged (a small yet Annoying) sum for transport to the park and to the bus stops. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean modern and well-kept. The Free breakfast was more than adequate and the dinner offerings were good as well and reasonably priced.

The hotel is nice. Charming and set against a beautiful backdrop. Not too far from Entrance 2 of the park. Our room was nice - on the top floor. The beds were super comfortable. We did have some ants, but that was owing to all the rain. And, when we mentioned it to the front desk, they were immediately responsive and appreciated our having mentioned it. We had dinner on site - make sure you know ahead of time if you want to eat there, because you have to let them know at check-in. The food was pretty good. The breakfast was also fine and generously stocked. I will say, though, that the staff wasn’t overly-friendly. I don’t need my hand held, but if I have legitimate questions about the area - especially one that’s a specific draw for tourists - it stands to reason that you would want to be a little more guest-friendly. Also, they don’t take credit cards, so you MUST have cash; although, they were accommodating, in that they accepted payment in Kuna, Euros, and USD - or, a combination. But, FYI, the closest ATM is back at the hotel at Entrance 2. As a place to sleep, clean up, and grab a meal in Plitvice, it’s fine. I’d have no problem recommending it. But, they could’ve been a little friendlier.

The Plitvice National Park is amazing and worth a visit. The village of Jezero is near the park and a convenient area to stay. Most of the lodging in the area is alpine styling, but for some reason Etno House seemed most impressive. We were surprised to learn they could not accept credit cards as we had guaranteed our visit with a card. The room was comfortable, very clean, and WiFi and TV were good. Dinner (extra charge) was very good. We chose our menu in the morning and everything was ready at our set time. Breakfast (included) was very good. Surprisingly, the coffee from the machine was ver good. The grounds and patio area at Etno were very nice although we didn’t use them due to weather. I would recommend Etno but do be prepared to pay cash. The staff, especially the young lady working breakfast and dinner, was very friendly and pleasant.
