For Americans new to South Korea, expect hotel rooms to be smaller than what you are used to. Hand Picked Hotel is no exception. Then again, the Hotel rates are far lower than in the USA. If you’re expecting a 4star experience and room sizes, book a Five Star Hotel. I would give a 4 star to the staff, only because I ran into a situation where no staff were present when I accidentally locked myself out of my room. Apparently the young reception crew were out back taking a break together. When I found them, and asked for assistance, they said they were taking a break and will be back in about 5 minutes. In all other instance, all the staff, from doorman to cleaning ladies were curtious and helpful. The hotel itself seems old and run down. We had a false fire alarm due to the elevators malfunctioning. Apparently water had flooded the elevator shafts. Then one of the two elevators the hotel had was shut down for the remainder of our stay. I will chalk it up to the rainy season. Our stay at Hand Picked Hotel was at the end of July.

Just okay…

Pros: Staff is very kind, helpful & English speaking, the cafe in the basement is nice, the maids come in to change your towels, make your bed, take your trash out etc every day, eco friendly shower products, airport bus

Cons: Location: 20-30 minute taxi ride to popular spots in Seoul, 40-50+ mins with the subway or bus, scuffs on the walls and furniture, room would get up to 80+ degrees even though the heat was turned off and the curtains were closed, no airflow unless you open a window which I often had to do to cool the room down but then the street noise was very loud and disruptive, toilet didn’t flush very well, yellowing grout in the shower, dirty screens/windows, rips and holes in the towels and bedding (the strings in the bottom of our duvet covers where they’re supposed to tie together were completely ripped off, there was a loud electrical crackling coming from the wall by the door one night too ?… could be a nice hotel it’s just run down and needs some refreshing

Average hotel

The double room is not very spacious which is inconvenient to manage with 2 luggages. It is close to a subway station, but traveling time is longer as it is located in the north of the river. Computer for guest at the front desk is very slow, I wasn’t even able to open the web browser to do my check-in. Very useless! Overall the stay was average, nothing stood out.

Great travel hotel

Loved the shower, the pillows and bedding, condition of room and small sized boutique hotel.
Suggestions for improvement: Update the computer in the business center so it has Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge browsers. The only browser on that computer was Internet Explorer, which is no longer used by ANYONE and not supported by newer websites or email sources. This is simple fix for your Computer staff. Also, it would be really nice to have some other options for food in the lower court instead of just dessert foods. The coffee was good, but it would be nice to stock Western -style breakfast food like fruit, cereal, milk, etc. Simple touches that make travel easier. I had to use Starbucks and Paris Bagette to get food for breakfast.

Good Night's Sleep, Clean, Good Value

The front desk staff was frirndly and efficient. The room was clean, bed eas comfortable and met our needs. Had a good dinner at the lobby restaurant. The only distractor was streer noise and tallking that seemed to come from nowhere, that dissolved our first impression of a quiet stay. Overall, agood stay. It was convenient for us for a 2 night stay and we would stay there again.

Still have room to improve

The hotel is located between 2 subway stations, both are about 10 mins away by walk. The room (604) was smaller than other hotel rooms I have stayed in Seoul. There were a few quirks for this hotel - 2 free americano were offered for the next morning but the restaurant weren't opened until 9am; our window was not soundproof so we can hear street traffic from 6th floor throughout the night; and pillows were too big and uncomfortable for us. My request for an iron and ironing board was quickly addressed. We ordered a pizza in the basement restaurant and it was not good - very white crust without any browning. It looked like either it needed another 5~10 mins in the oven or the temperature was set too low.

Needs work

The public hotel spaces (lobby, restaurant, cafe) were beautiful. The room, at least our room, not so much. The bathroom needed serious cleaning (eg. shower grout was pink) and the walls were really damaged. Environmental system would not blow cold air, so our room was stuck at 28-30 degrees C for the entire stay. We opened a window to get fresh air, but that doesn't work at night because of the busy street below. Breakfast was good, but not worth 11,000 Won in my opinion.

Great service but noisy rooms

The hotel is a pretty nice hotel. I was not fond of the location but it was quite easy to travel back and forth to the heart of Seoul. A quick bus and subway ride and you're back in the action. The biggest downfall of this hotel is the sound proofing in the rooms. The windows are not thick at all and the street noise is unbearable. I even moved to a higher floor and the street noise was still bad. If you're noise sensitive this is not the hotel for you. Also hotels.com says the shuttle bus to the airport is 10,000 KRW which is false. The bus ride is 15,000 and if you're able to get a voucher from the hotel the ride will only be 12,000. The service was great but my only problem was the street noise.

　２人宿泊なのにバスタオルが１枚しかない。３ナイトとも同様で改善されない。

고급호텔급을 기대하고 오면 실망할 수도 있을듯함. 가성비 비즈니스 호텔 정도의 느낌. 샴푸 린스 바디워시 등은 없지만 동구밭에서 나오는 작은 비누형태로 구비되어 있음. 따로 챙겨오는게 좋을 듯 함. 웰컴 커피 주는건 좋았음. 주변 교통편 좋았고 주변 소음 거슬리는것 없었음. 다만 기대에 비해서는 가성비 비즈니스 호텔의 느낌!

Eine der wenigen guten Hotels in der Gegend, da hier kein Tourismusist. Aber Anbindung an Metro und Bus ist sehr gut. Es liegt südlich vom Fluss und es ist eine typische Gegend mit einheimischer Bevölkerung und einigen Universitäten in der Nähe.

4泊5日お世話になりました！とても快適な宿泊になりました！
仁川空港からのエアポートバスがホテルの目の前に止まってくれ、行きも帰りもノンストレスでした。
ホテル全体もお部屋の中もコンセプトホテルの雰囲気があり、大変好みでした。
2杯のコーヒーサービス券をいただいたので、朝はコーヒー片手に屋上に行きました。
屋上は気持ちが良いので是非行って欲しいです。可愛いミツバチたちにも会えます！

サステナブルな取り組みも推せるポイントで、普段から固形石鹸のシャンプーを使っている私にとってはアメニティの石鹸シャンプーは全くストレスではありませんでした！（石鹸の質もよくてお土産で購入するほど気に入りましたよ）

ここは友達にも勧めるし、また泊まりたいと思えるホテルです。

편안한 숙박

집에 도배를 하는 이유로 가까운 장소에 있어서 1박을 하게 됐는데 기대보다 괜찮은 곳이었다.
주변에 식당도 많았고 호텔 조식도 맛있는 편이었다.

スタッフさんがとても親切で質問に対してもいろいろ丁寧に対応してくださって、スタッフさんの満足度は満点でした！私が滞在中は日本語話せる方はいなそうでした。
清潔さについては、シーツやタオルが最初から少し汚れてたりしていてやや残念でした。トイレはウォシュレット付きで綺麗です。アメニティのシャンプーやリンスは全て石鹸タイプで歯ブラシも購入するシステムだったので準備して行った方が良いかと思います。
とても安かったのと、ホテルの前に空港からバスが止まって行きも帰りもとても楽だったこと、なにより本当にスタッフさんの印象がよかったのでトータル満足です。

スタッフの方々は日本語も通じて、丁寧なとても良い感じの接客でした。
英語すらままならない私でしたがわかりやすく日本語と英語を混ぜてしっかり説明してくださいました。
部屋はとても新しくておしゃれ。ただ、誰のものかわからない空のドリンクカップが置いてあり、清掃には不信感を感じてしまいました。

poor heating system

A Heater in the room wasn't working well in a cold weather. Asked to change the room or refund as it was too cold to sleep but denied. They just put a portable heater. Paid S$230 for the night and it's absolutely not worth it.

좁은 편도2차선 도로를 지나 와서 무척 막혔어요. 거기까진 좋습니다. 호텔카드도 딱 한개, 욕실 내 욕조와 주변에 핑크색, 갈색 곰팡이를 보는 순간 소름이 돋았구요, 이불커버가 벗겨지며 드러난 피 묻은 이불을 본 게...역대급 미치는 줄 알았음. 환경친화 비누를 내놓은 건 좋았으나 욕실 수건이 우리집 것보다 훨씬 얇고 안좋음. 끝부분은 닳아 해짐 ㅜㅜ 도대체 세계에서 뽑은 호텔 100 기준에 국내 유일 호텔이라는게 어떤 기준인지 진심 알고 싶음. 그냥 모텔이라 보면 될것임. 이럴 줄 알았으면 10만원 이하 호텔 갈걸 후회함. 청결과 위생 제발 시정하시길 바람.

Cosy, Clean and Comfy stay in quiet area of Seoul

地下鉄７号線の最寄り駅から徒歩５分ほど。途中には市場やコスメショップ、コンビニも数軒あります。地元民の利用数も多く、遅い時間でも地下鉄の利用には心配ありません。又、近くに大きなホテルも見当たらないため、タクシーも迷うことなくホテルを見つけられます。
こちらで４泊、部屋はツインルームで、必要最小限のスペースで、機内持ち込みサイズのスーツケースがちょうど拡げられるくらいです。
アメニティは他のレビューにもあるよう、ロクシタンです。
清潔感があり、掃除も丁寧、タオルの補充もベッドメイキングも良かったと思います。
シャワースペースも扉あり、洗面所から少し床が低いことで、水漏れもなく、快適でした。
当方韓国語可能なため、タクシー利用に不便を感じることはなかったですが、日本語のみの場合は、立地に関しては地下鉄の路線の便利さはあまり良くないので、特に明洞や東大門の方面に行きたい場合は、その他ホテルの方が良いかもしれません。
Nearest metro station is 5mins walk away, on line7, you can find a market, restaurants and convenience stores. I stayed a twin room, cosy and clean. If you speak their language, you won't feel it hard to get a taxi instead of metro, but if not, you might not very happy with the location.
I stayed 4nights here, and it was great and would love to come back very soon. thanks:)
트인룸에서 4박했는데요, 주변에 편의점도 사람도 많고 늦은시간에도 걱정하지 말고 나갈수 있었고 좋았어요. 방은 크지 않지만 깔끔하고 아메니티도 충분히 있었고 저는 참 편하게 머물수 있었습니다. 영등포나 강남방향은 문제 없는데 명동쪽은 텍시 쓰는게 좋네요. 스텝분들도 친철하셨고 좋은 숙소였습니다.

이전에 머물렀던 곳이고 좋은 경험이 있어 다시 2박 머물게 되었습니다.
아쉽게 화장실의 청결 상태가 좋지는 않았습니다. 욕조에 머리카락이 그대로 있었고 붉은 물때가 계속 남아있어 그 부분은 조금 아쉬웠습니다.
또 방이 추워서 난방기를 켰으나 이미 방의 온도가 27도 정도 라고 표시가 되어있었고 온도를 올려도 작동이 되지 않아 매우 추웠습니다. 난방기가 켜져 있고 풍량도 조절 가능해서 작동 되는줄 알았는데 아니었네요.
저녁에 운동을 하기 위해 피트니스 룸에 갔는데 스위치를 올려도 전원이 들어오지 않아 결국 운동은 못했습니다.

그래도 침구라던지 어매니티라던지 조식은 좋았습니다. 깔끔하고 낭비 없이 준비했다는 느낌이 들었습니다.

전체적인 컨셉이나 이런 것들 너무 좋지만 청소하시는 하우스키퍼들이 청소를 제대로 할 수 있도록 더 나은 근무환경 부탁드리겠습니다.

Clean and cozy accommodation. Front staffs spoke fluent English and were very kind. You definitely will have nice experience here. Access from Incheon International Airport is convenient as the airport limousine No. 6019 stops in front of the hotel. You can find good restaurants in terms of taste, price, and service around the nearest subway station located in 3-5 min. by foot. But you have to remind that they are really local and you can't expect staffs speaking English well nor English menus.

호텔분위기 방의 청결도 직원분의 접객태도 조식 모두 마음에 들었습니다. 단점은 엘리베이터에 층수표기가 안되어 언제 도착할지 모른채로 기다려야 하는 막연한 기다림이 익숙하지 않은 정도 였네요. 나중에 기회가 닿는다면 또 방문하고 싶습니다. 특히 침구류와 어매니티가 맘에 쏙 들었습니다.

서울 올일 있을 때 또 이용하고 싶어요 차를 주차타워에 넣어야 될까봐 걱정이 되었는데 양해를 구하니 주차장 주위공간에 발렛해 주셨더라구요 덕분에 약속시간에 늦지않고 편안하게 이용가능해 더욱 좋았어요

가격에 비해 별로

우선 주차하시는 분부터 리셉션까지 직원들은 아주 친절합니다. 그리고 호텔 전체적으로 깔끔해요. 그런데 방 크기에 비해 가격이 비싸고 바로 대로변이라서 시끄러워요ㅜㅜ 원래 머리만 대면 자는 스탈인데 잠을 좀 설쳤네요..

화장실에 인터폰이 없어요

화장실문이 잠겨서 못나갈뻔 했는데 화장실내부에 인터폰도 없고 잘못하면 하루종일 화장실에 있을뻔 했네요. 쉬러갔다가 낭패...
핸폰을 가지고 들어갔어서 다행히 데스크에 전화를 했는데
수리하시는분이 벨을 누르고 문을 열어달라고 하셔서 1차 황당,
소리지르니 들어오셨는데 열어주시고 본인이 이제 괜찮다고 들어가셨다가 갇히셔서 저에게 도구로 열어달라고 하셔서 2차 황당,
제가 열고나서 한분 더 오셔서 20분이 걸려도 수리가 안되 또 황당했는데
바로 전화로 방을 바꿔달라고 하니 와서 옆방키로 변경만 해줘서 또 황당
그리고 열받아서 나가니 이후 매니저분 전화와서 그때 제대로 사과하심.
그리고 미안하다며 바우처를 주겠다고 하더니 아직 소식 없음.
이래저래 나쁜 기억만 가득
어쨌든 긴급한 상황이 생길수도 있는데
모든 시설이 만족스러웠으나 화장실 내 인터폰은 향후 개선이 필요한 것으로 보임

깔끔하고 침대 매트리스가 좋습니다. 직원들도 친절하고 가격대비 매우 만족합니다. 칫솔은 따로 구매하거나 가져가야합니다. 단점은, 단일창이라서 도로 소음이들어오지만 잠귀가 어두워 큰 불편함없었고, 엘리베이터가 좀 느립니다.

다만, 새벽에 유독 밖 자동차소리가 너무 심하게 크게 들려서 잠을 자기 힘들었네요.
옆 방과의 방음이 나쁜건 아닌것 같았는데... 다른 대로변에 있는 호텔에 비해
엄청 차 소리가 시끄럽고 방음이 안되서 잠을 많이 설쳤습니다.

괜찮은 편

모던하고 친절한데, 화장실 샤워부스 아래쪽에 주황색 물때가 제대로 청소되지 않았더군요. 수건이나 가운에서 냄새가 좀 나고, 도로변이라 차소리가 많이나고 현관도 이중문이 아니라서 복도에서 나는 소음이 다 들려요.

조식이 너무 맛있네요^^

위치가 정말 쌩뚱맞지만 근처 전철역도 있고 공항버스도 바로 앞에 있어서 크게 불편함은 없을것 같아요. 체크아웃이 12시라 편했고, 저는 너무 늦게 체크인을해서 사용 못했지만 체크인할때 받는 쿠폰북도 알차게 사용하면 좋을것 같아요.
제일 기억에 남는건 한식으로 나오는 조식이였는데 호텔조식뷔페보다 훨씬 좋았어요

숙박하기에 좋은 곳

호텔 너무 깨끗하고 관리도 잘 되 어 있습니다. 하지만 주변에 이렇다할 먹거리나 놀거리가 하나도 없네요 제가 못찾아서 그럴수도 있지만 . 그래도 호텔은 좋습니다. 조용하고요

위치는 정말 동네 한가운데 있었고 지상주차장이
별로 없고 타워에 있어서 조금 불편했고 방음은 정말 안되는 편이었고 방은 테이블이 없는 거 빼곤 괜찮았다.가격대비는 만족이고 프론트는 너무 구석에 숨어있는 거 같다...올라갔다 내려가야하는 이상한 구조....전체적으로는 깔끔하고 쏘쏘했다.

쉬기 좋은 호텔

오롯이 호텔에서 내 시간 가지면서 편하게 쉬기 좋은 곳이에요. 어떨때에는 큰 호텔 즐길거리(수영장, 스파, 피트니스, 레스토랑 등)을 꼭 누려야한다는 것 때문에 '쉬지' 못 하는 경우도 있는데 여긴 정말 '쉬러'가기 좋아요. 어메니티 퀄리티도 너무 좋고 침구 퀄리티도 너무 좋아서 잠도 정말 편하게 잤어요. 정갈한 조식도 인상깊었습니다.
