Location was very convenient to many train lines. Front desk was very helpful and hospitable, going the extra mile to help us in some queries. Rooms were comfortable and provided sufficiently for rest and respite. Bathrooms were well equipped. Bed and pillows were sufficiently comfy, best hotel sleep I have had in a while. Temperature settings all managed well too. The added bonus for me was the clothing spray provided which was a great help. Having a cold/hot water dispenser at the lobby of rooms was excellent. Simple facilities on ground floor (with a vending machine, microwave and laundry machines) were great.

Hotel was in a good area and close to Osaka, Umeda and Shin-Osaka stations. Rooms were a bit smaller than expected but comfortable. Breakfast gave you a choice of 5 options that were all pretty good. Had some issues with temp. Once I figured out how to open the windows it was much better. It was 29 Celsius when I checked in and thermostat was tricky to work with. I’d stay here again.

The front desk staff were efficient and polite. Hotel is a 4-5 min walk from the bus terminal at the Umeda station with tons of eating places around and along the way.
Hotel offers a lot of things- a station you can just take disposable razors, tooth brushes, shaving creams, etc if you forgot to pack them! Room has disposable slippers, a bathrobe, trouser press, iron, fridge, shoe polish, and other things for the business travelers.
Only thing was that although the bathroom looked clean, it had a sweaty smell to it. But there was a bottle of odor freshener spray that you could use. Bed and sheets were clean, the mattress kinda on the firm side.
Downstairs had a hotel restaurant, but I did not try there.
All in all it was fine for my 1 night stay, and I would consider it again.

They have a combo washer/dryer (same machine that does both functions) that if were available in the US, I would buy in a heartbeat. But there are only two machines and one of them was out of order. Availability will be a problem if more than 1 person decides to do their laundry at the same time.

Conveniently located in Umeda on a quiet side street. We arrived before check-in time and they held our luggage while we explored the area. Quiet and clean, this was a simple hotel with the small sized standard room typical of Japan. The bathroom was particularly small but water pressure was strong and water was hot. Clean and friendly, this hotel did the trick.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at UNIZO Osaka Umeda. The Front desk and Housekeeping staff were very courteous. The only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness of the washers in the laundry room. Sometimes guests don't clean the washer after they leave tissue/paper in their pockets when washing. But other than this, I give UNIZO an A rating. I already booked a 2 week stay in March 2023.

To be honest I stay at a LOT of hotels and for the price I was blown away. Very very nice room, excellent facilities - even a trouser press and sofa in a business room. Very clean, great bed. While there is a double thickness of windows, which dampens much of the sound, it is still a bit noisy. We were there for two nights and wouldn't have wanted to be there any longer.

Proximity to the Osaka Station and a new hotel was what made the deal. While the hotel was nice and new, we did not have pleasant experience from the reception staff who were not that friendly. Worst was the housekeeping, several parts of the room was dusty, on few days, they forgot to replace bath robes, accidentally took our personal towel and removed 1 of the access card. Told the reception but they were not apologetic although managed to retrieve our towel. The house keeping needs to improve along with the front desk staff. As it is near the train station, expect some train noise. Otherwise this hotel has potential.

After leaving Tokyo where we stayed at ICI Hotel (amazing - definitely go there!) we were pretty unimpressed from the get go upon entering Hotel Unizo. No nice greetings, no chat - throughout our whole stay. I don’t think they ever actually said hello. Hotel rooms don’t have USB plugs, fridge isn’t plugged in when you arrive - day 3 our fridge was cold. On that, it’s summer here and the AC barely works. You can’t feel a breeze and you will never feel cool. Just about 3 degrees cooler than outside. To combat this they have added air humidifiers in the rooms which require top ups of water. OR you could just fix the AC situation? Weird. No English instructions on anything - just Japanese (which wasn’t the case at previous hotels). Also the bathroom lights/ fan is the strangest most complicated setup of four switches and when the stars and moons align then you will get one or the other. If you want to stay at what I would call a 1980’s bland, cold conference hotel - this is the one for you. If you want comfort and general niceties from hotel staff - go elsewhere.

Amazing stay for the price. It was close to both the subway and the Jr line. It was also located a few minutes walking distance to some must try restaurants. I highly recommend. Staff also spoke English, which helped me understand how to use any controls in the room. For a solo traveller, it was spacious and definitely my best stay in Japan.

O hotel tem uma excelente localização. Muito perto da Umeda Station e tambem de uma estação mais tranquila chamada Nakatsu, que usamos muitas vezes. Os funcionários sao muito atenciosos. Quarto e banheiro de tamanho bastante confortável. Ficamos uma semana neste hotel. Adoramos a região. Dá para ir a pé na Osaka Sky Building, é uma região linda.
