The location is convenient to shops, restaurants and subways. Lots to do and eat in the immediate location. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the room for 3 adults, with 3 beds. There was no room to put your things and with 3 suitcases, and backpacks it was pretty tight. Because of the size of the room, it was hard to relax and unwind in the room. It's nice we had access to a laundry room, but we had to wake up around 6:30am, get in line to use the machines. It took a while because people before us had to dry their clothes more than once depending on how much clothes they put in there. The more clothes, the longer it takes, sometimes 3-4 times to dry.

Very convenient central location, connected to Osaka-Umeda station, and an easy train ride from anywhere in Osaka. Great views from upper floors and very quiet. Rooms are tiny and a bit cramped, but have all the amenities you’d expect. Laundry is a pain if you need it as they provide just 8 machines for >500 guests leading to a lot of frustration and waiting. Also, the lobby can get quite crowded.

Fun notes: there is a mall in the building, including multiple sporting goods stores, multiple clothing stores, two food courts, four Starbucks locations, even a Burger King and a McDonalds—though the local food is much better. We also saw two idol groups doing meet and greets and performances on the second floor near the Umeda station, a boy-band one evening and a girl band another evening.

My stay at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka was overall excellent. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were consistently amazing—friendly, helpful, and efficient throughout my stay. I also really appreciated the convenient luggage storage and the smooth system for shipping bags to other cities, which made traveling much easier.

The location was a major highlight—everything was within walking distance, including the train station, main attractions, and plenty of shopping and food options, which made getting around Osaka extremely convenient. The only downside was that the room was a bit small with limited space to move around, so I would definitely recommend booking a larger room if available for a more comfortable stay.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Umeda — we loved it so much we stayed twice!
Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA continues to impress us. The location is unbeatable, sitting right on top of the massive Yodabashi Camera complex, which combines a department store and mall with endless shopping and dining options. Having everything right downstairs made our stay incredibly convenient.

The JR Osaka Loop Line is next door, making it easy to get around the city. Nintendo Osaka and Umeda Sky Building are also just a short walk away. If you want to explore further, the metro gets you to Dotonbori in about 15 minutes.

Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh and extensive salad bar along with plenty of other choices. The only thing we wished for was lounge access for drinks, but they do offer hot water and coffee in the lobby, which was still helpful.

Overall, this is an amazing hotel with great comfort, convenience, and location. We’d happily stay again.

The hotel is located next to the major stations and shopping district. Very good for going up to take a short rest or dropping off the shoppings before going out again. Hotel connections to the shopping district is great with B1F going to the train station directly and 1/F and 2F going to the shops directly.
It is big and could be very busy during the week day. We find the weekend less busy! Hotel room is very quiet despite the lobby could be like a commercial building lobby sometimes.
There are a lot of self servicing machine and smart phone is essential.. there are limited staffs due to the use of self service machine.

Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka is in a very convenient location. It’s close to the metro, though the entrance is at the far end of the building so the walk can be a bit long. The hotel sits right on top of Yodobashi Umeda, with Uniqlo and plenty of other shops and dining options just an elevator ride away — extremely practical for both shopping and meals.

We stayed in a 4‑pax room and it was spacious and comfortable, great for groups or families. Overall, a solid stay with excellent access to amenities.

I liked the eco cleaning option because I normally don’t make a mess and I don’t need someone to make my bed. The eco cleaning option allows me to be undisturbed on days when I want to sleep in.

However, I want to note that the thermostat is located in the wrong area of the room. The thermostat should be located near the bed and not near the door to assure the temperature is correct and occupant is comfortable.

Pros: Good central location, loved the room.

Cons: laundry ruined our stay. There are 8 machines but a very large number of guests wishing to use the machines. Queued for 40 minutes to get to a machine. Machines badly maintained so what would have taken 2 hour wash and dry took 5 - the reason for the massive queues. Nowhere else we stayed in Japan was like this. Don’t stay here if you’re planning a laundry stop.

Room cleaning wasn’t up to scratch with basic items like cups not replaced. Coffee was clearly pre brewed and not barista style with a Nespresso machine like other (cheaper) hotels we have stayed in here.

Super easy to get lost and spent the first hour of our staying running around in Yobodashi Camera. This is partially our fault but don’t use google maps to try and find the hotel. Instead; follow the signs around the shopping complex.

Overall it didn’t feel like good value for money, compared to far cheaper hotels I’ve stayed in around the world. It takes 10 minutes to get out of the complex to find basics like food, coffee etc.

Very well-maintained hotel located in the heart of Umeda. Highly recommended for those planning to travel to nearby cities during their stay. It’s also a great place to stay if you plan on doing a lot of shopping.
The only downside was a noticeable odor coming from the bathroom. During our stay, the hotel did notify us that they were cleaning the drains, so it may have been related to that.

We recently stayed at Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka and overall had a wonderful experience. The hotel’s biggest strength is definitely its unbeatable location. Being directly connected to LINKS Umeda, Osaka Station, shopping malls, restaurants, and convenience stores made our stay extremely convenient, especially traveling with family and a young child. We could easily shop, dine, and access transportation without needing to go far.

The service was also excellent — staff were professional, courteous, and efficient throughout our stay. The hotel itself was modern, clean, and very comfortable.

We booked the Quad Room for 3 adults and 1 child and found the room spacious enough by Japan standards, especially compared to many other hotels in Osaka. One downside for our family was that the beds could not be combined into a larger bed. Since our 5-year-old still does not sleep independently, sharing one bed felt a bit cramped. This is something families with young children may want to consider when booking.

Although the hotel does not have a public bath/onsen, the convenience of the location, the amenities, and the overall comfort definitely made up for it. We truly enjoyed our stay and can absolutely see ourselves staying at Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka again on future trips to Osaka.

We stayed at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA for 1 night and had such a great experience. The room wasn’t huge, our group of 3 fit very comfortably even with our luggage open. Everything felt very clean, fresh, and modern, especially the bathroom and the whole room had a really new and well-maintained feel to it.

The hotel amenities were excellent. They provided slippers and sleeping attire, and there were also free amenities available in the reception area such as toothbrushes, along with coffee and tea. The buffet breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay, there were so many options, including vegetarian-friendly choices. We left breakfast feeling very satisfied.

The location is incredibly convenient. It’s only a very short walk to the station, which made getting around Osaka super easy. It’s also close to shopping, restaurants, and even within walking distance of Umeda Sky Building. The area outside can get busy during peak hours, but it was still very manageable. We even walked to the station with all our luggage during a busy period and had no issues.

The view from our room was also quite nice. Check-in and check-out were both self-service, fast and easy, but there were always plenty of staff nearby ready to help if needed, which made the process feel very smooth and welcoming. Luggage storage was also simple and convenient, you just provide your email.

Overall, this was an extremely comfortable and convenient stay, definitely would come back again.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel - except the two elevators you need to use to get to and from your room. It was very clean, the gym is nice, there's filtered water and ice just down the hall, great baggage transport, and close to the train station. The room is very small, but I understand that that's pretty common in Japan. Would definitely stay here again!

Very large and \"industrialized\" hotel. This is not a luxury hotel in my opinion, feels more like an Aiport than a hotel (the lobby was always very crowded with people coming in and out. Feels like a massive operation).

Room was VERY small (even for Japan standards) and we felt the overall stay was more expensive than it was worth.

Location is very good in an active part of OSAKA. Osaka station is walking distance.

Not place to store suitcases. No hooks to hang our towels. I would stay here again, but that’s after looking at some place better first.

Hankyu Respire is a nice hotel, conveniently located within the Osaka Train Station. The hotel is clean. Rooms are smaller compared to US hotels. The hotel provides all the basic amenities, including slippers and pajamas. The staff is helpful. They also provide baggage forwarding service to the next destination, if one does not want to carry their luggage with them.

Its location is superb, connects to subway, JR trains and Shinkansen station. Across from the connected bridge is a hugh shopping mall. Taxi stand is right underneath the hotel.

When I travel to Osaka, i always choose Hankyu Respire Hotel not only for their cleanliness but due to its proximity to the rail satation whether shinkansen or domestic rail. On top of all the hotel dedicated the whole 8th floor to different regional restautants where you can choose where to dine. Breakfast is good at the hotel & proximity to 5 big shopping malls will cap your day!
