Love everything about this hotel! This was my 3rd stay in the past two weeks and I will definitely come back when in KL in the future. Everyone at the hotel was so nice and helpful. The location is prime to get to most places in the city either on foot or by subway and the neighborhood has many excellent indian restaurants and coffee places.

Great new building in great location

New building in the heart of the Indian district. Room was in great condition, bed was comfy, the lack of windows was a bit disorienting, but it was a great place to rest after a long day. I'd stay there again.

Nice budget hotel

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is rather big and clean and the toilet is clean, however, the shower head needs to be changed as the water pressure penetrates into the skin. There's construction opposite the hotel so it can be noisy at times. My AC didn't make the room cold enough but overall I'm happy with my stay. The location is very convenient.

Bad hotel

This hotel is the worst hotel I have seen entire my travels experience.
Hotel smells really Bad. Room is very very small and has no widow feels like grave. I have had a 6 nights stay at this hotel. As soon as I arrived and seen the hotel and smells real bad I decided to leave right now. I called hotels.com and really was helpful people. Thy canceled my reservation and got a nice hotel.

This was the better of all the places I stayed at while in Malaysia. The property was nice and surprisingly noise supresent except if people are in the building halls yelling. The staff surprised me a bit by helping to come up with solutions to any issue of the hotels shortcomings. Even cleaning staff was helpful with good customer service in passing providing things they seen I may be out of without me even having to ask. There is a pure water filter on the top floor which is helpful but unfortunately no microwave which the hotel really needs but again they staff helped me find a solution to heat up my food. The rooms are cleaner than expected with a few crevices of dust still in places, so small details are still missed (I'm also considered really tall and the cleaning staff isn't so they probably couldn't even reach where I saw). When the water gets hot in the shower its very good and the rain shower was so relaxing. The area is also excellent with many hawker like eating stations and a 8 minute walk to petaling Street (Chinatown shops and food) as well as a train 1 block from the hotel and is walking distance to Merdeka square. Now there is one big major thing that I need to report about which was a big issue for my stay. There is a 50 ringit deposit fee that is charged to everyone that is not advertised anywhere. Keeping in mind there's a 50 ringit deposit not advertised and there is no bar or restaurant. My full review will be on Google since I'm limited on words here.

Great budget hotel to stay in Kuala Lumpur. The entire front staff team is super professional and helpful. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Location is great. Walking distance to Chinatown and independence square. The train statin (MRT, LRT) is 2 minutes away. Everything is so pleasure, I planned to stay for 1 week before moving to a different hotel but I liked it so much and ended up staying for 2 weeks.

Good location but...

Location wise, is near the city and LRT station. Good for backpackers but not for those come with cars. It is very hard to find parking. The water heater is not hot enough.

Great place to stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. It is new and modern. The room was clean, spacious and the shower was one of the best on our travels in South East Asia.
Its located within walking distance to most of the main attractions.
The staff were very helpful and polite, would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located very close to LRT Masjid Jamek Interchange Station and have proper pedestrian pavement to hotel, very convenient. Hotel is surrounded with many Indian restaurants. There are also major fast food chain around the LRT Station. It is also walking distance to Central Market and Chinatown.

Check-in was quick and Internet is fast and stable. Elevator stops at every floor including the roof terrace.

Room has free toiletries, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair dryer, in-room laptop compatible safe, and one power outlet supporting many countries' power plug standard.
TV has some local channel and cable channels, Astro Awani, Nat Geo Wild, AFN, AXN Fox Movies.

Great value, great location, great weekend too.

The location of Ayhu Hotel is easy to find as it is within minutes of the LRT station Masjid Jamek, which is only two stops from Sentral Station.
I found the reception staff to be warm and hospitable.I had had a loooooong days travel and just got over a severe bout of dengue fever and I needed a quiet room which is exactly what I got.
The room was spotless and the bed and bedding was as comfortable as my own at home,so I was more than pleased with the quality of the accommodation.Factor into this the price for three nights and I had a very good deal.
There are plenty of Indian restaurants close to the Hotel I was happy to eat at FS Nasi Kandar corner, which is open 24 jam,and depending on the time of day,has a varied menu.Their Tea Tarik is great as is their Nan bread.
I would have no reservations in recommending Ahyu Hotel for quality and cleanliness, hospitality and upkeep and I look forward to returning there soon.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Ahyu, after being gong from KL for 2 weeks. It's a great hotel. Super nice people working there. Very clean, the most comfortable bed you'll ever sleep in. Everything works, and there are excellent India Restaurants right across the street and a very large supermarket, about an 10 minute walk away, in a good mall. It's also a 5 minute walk from the Central Market, and an easy 8 to 10 minute walk from China Town. The neighborhood is safe. It's the city so there are people, sadly, and of course, that don't have homes. Same in any large city but they are not going to hurt you, and you probably won't see any of them unless you walk around a lot. It's probably the best deal of any hotel within miles in this excellent part of Kuala Lumpur. Highly recommended, always.

PROS: The hotel was clean, modern and very convenient as it's very close to Masjid Jamek train station. There also restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable to sleep in. The staff was also friendly and helpful in finding the closest money changer.

CONS: The area was a bit scary. There were a couple of people sleeping on the streets nearby, and some streets were dark.

Overall, the hotel was great and we had a wonderful experience during our stay.

Nice boutique hotel at a good price

Nice stay at a good price. Family room was large with a window and good size beds. room had fridge microwave and hotel provided bottled water and toiletries including toothbrushes. All in all at a great price we were very happy. Only negative was that the air conditioning was very weak and it was hard for me to fall asleep at night when i was hot. But my kids were ok.

Pretty Nice location, Things of Historic importance is 5 minute walk from this hotel. Central Market and Petaling street are walk able distance. The Owner of the place was very helpful when it comes to direction or choices of food. Even the staff were very friendly kept us well informed on surroundings and what to do. The rooms were reasonably clean and the hotel seemed fairly nice overall, especially for a two star rating. The 24/7 staff at the front desk were quite helpful and were happy to arrange rides for us on multiple occasions. The location was convenient for mass transit/several main tourist sites.

The one downside is that I’m not sure I would be comfortable walking around in the immediate area, particularly after dark. If you just take Grab cars/taxis then it’s no problem, but there’s a bus stop on the same block which can attract all sorts and we saw a number of homeless individuals passed out on the sidewalk when we walked to the pharmacy at the end of the block. Perhaps it’s representative of KL as a whole, and in the end we had zero trouble, but it’s something to take note of if you’re not comfortable in foreign countries or big cities.

Ten minutes walk to Central market for great bargains and ten minutes to KL tower. If you want to see the best of KL this is the area to do it. Also great food and friendly people

Convenient location close to the Masjid Jamek station on the Kelana Jaya line. If you find the little cut through then it's only a 3 minute walk. Good room, very clean, fresh bottled water left each day. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The only negative was that the room was a bit on the small side and there was no storage space. Good hotel for a few days.

Short walk to train and easy access to airport and bus station. Walking distance to numerous popular tourist sights. Breakfast not available at hotel, but plenty of eating places (recommend Cafe Lokl ) nearby. Being situated in Little India, there's lots of Indian restaurants to choose from. Helpful, friendly staff. Room was small, at back of building, very clean and quite comfortable. Good wifi. Only issue was constant noise from ventilation system in bathroom. Didn't really disturb our sleep, but just a little annoying.

Basic but nice hotel in good tourist location

Ahyu hotel is in a well located spot for a tourist in KL. It is in the Little India area well located very close to the Masjid Jamek train station and many popular sites in the city. When you first arrive it can be a little confronting as there is a local bus stop just down the street with lots of people hanging around. However, the hotel itself is a nice oasis in the middle of it all, and my partner and I never felt unsafe. Lots of good budget places to eat nearby as well. The room itself was compact but nice. The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was nice with a couple of amenities provided, and the aircon and wifi were very good. The laundry service provided by the hotel was convenient and quick.

Requested for extra pillow due to back problems, called up also to confirm it.

But when checked in (12.30am), no extra pillows and unable to fulfill, due to housekeeping staff has retired for the night already.

This hotel is VERY CLEAN. Surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of town. Very friendly and courteous staff. Wi-fi worked excellently. Within walking distance of Central Market, Chinatown; almost next to Masjid Jamek metro station. Very conveniently located. We felt very safe in and out of the hotel. The price we got on Hotels.com was 1/3 of the posted price at the hotel lobby, so we think we got a heck of a deal! Lots of shopping and eating all around. GREAT, GREAT HOTEL! Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent budget hotel

Absolute value for the money. It was surprisingly clean and comfortable in a great area. Easy access to main tourist sites by walking or taking the LRT which is just around the corner.

I would definitely recommend Ahyu Hotel to be your choice for a hotel and I will surely come back to this hotel the next time I’m in Malaysia.

The hotel is in a convenient part of the city, the staff is great, always pleasant and helpful. My problems were, 1, the room was a large closet sized room, with barely enough room to get into the bed, 2., which was very hard. 3. In my three days there was no cleaning of the room. I was given 2 bottles of water once. 4. The room A/C seems to be either on or off. It runs until you are almost frozen and turn it off and then you wait until it gets hot to turn it back on.

The pictures should be more representative of what you are actually buying.

Again, the staff is great.

Reception was extremely helpful with recommendations and assisting with late night requests eg midnight check out and assurance with the in-room security deposit box. Housekeeping was also impressive. I think my only concern was the cleanliness of shower towels but aside from that I really enjoyed my stay and it’s location. Close to Chinatown night markets and late night eateries.
