Exceptional staff in terms of friendliness, helpfulness, cheerfulness and capability. In particular, Ann and Omar. Thanks for everything!
Hotel is very centrally located within Kuala Lumpur. Short walk to Chinatown, where most restaurants are open till at least midnight. A very safe city and neighbourhood. A few homeless people in the area, but that is all over Kuala Lumpur. I would stay here again!

The location is the best festure of this hotel. It is close to the Dataran so if you are attending an event at or nearby this should be the place to stay.

I had been eying tis hotel for some time but because of the Covid I had to put off any travel for some time. I particularly like the location. I'm glad I finally got to stay here. I had a corner room on the 6th floor away from the lift so there was no exterior noise. The room had muzad piped in which I requested the reception to turn off. The was small but it not a problem as I was alone. It was nicely furnished. There was a water heater and tea and coffee sachets as well as two small pieces if choclolate. There were also two small bottles of water which can be refilled at a water dispenser in the lobby..A small safe but I missed a refrigerator. The bathroom was clean and there were toothbrushes with toothpaste. There was also rwo small tubes of shampoo and bodywash. All the chrome surfaces were wiped clean of fingerprints and smudges.

Perfect for a short vacation

This place is perfect if you just have a few days in Kuala Lumpur. The train station is just a few minutes away and the Central Market is around the corner. The only little downside of this place is the staff which didn’t even manage to say a simple ‘Hello’ or smile once.

The Avenue J Hotel is conveniently located near the centre of KL, both rail and bus services are close by. The Central Market is behind the hotel, great for food and bargain hunting.
The hotel has a modern, clean and tidy interior. The rooms are well equipped and functional but have no where to hang or store your clothes. The buffet style breakfast was good, as was the WiFi.

Nice budget hotel

The hotel was basic but nice. Breakfast was nothing special. The worst thing was the room cleaning service as they forgot to add toilet paper, and even when I asked for it they forgot to refill it.
The best thing was the location, really near Masjid Jamek hub and the Central Market.

New hotel directly behind Central Market

New, modern decor. About 10 mins walk to Pasar Seni LRT n Chinatown. Nothing much around at night. Morning can walk to Chinatown for breakfast n snacks (old style kopitiam, street vendors). Recommend to tak Grab to move around, convenient and not expensive. Cleaning of room can be improved, stains seen on toilet floor and toilet seat. $100 deposit by cash or card. Overall recommend for budget-mid level.

Comfy bed hotel

Grumpy but helpful Chinese front desk staff(smile wasn't in his vocabulary). Having stayed for 6 days, I truly enjoyed the comfy bed even though my windowless room was literally tiny but self contained. A 350 meters walk to Masjid Jamek wasn't a problem unless raining, especially if you were to take the Mrt to the airport with your pre purchased KL X-press card. Some taxi services encountered in KL were dishonest with the agreed fees(ending up paying twice). Opposite of 7-Eleven, there was a Chinese food stall, not to be missed...cheap and friendly stall owner with coins laundry services in the back of the shop.

Short memorable stay

Memorable short stay with my family. The room was rather small than what we expected but managed to squeeze every corners to fit everyone. Room was neat, clean and well maintained. Security was at its best as you can not reach other floor other than your room floor. Located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, getting around will be a breeze for travellers. Overall, it was a memorable family outing.

Clean, modern, friendly, quiet hotel in great location for China Town and the old Colonial district, and great value for money too. Our room was the larger twin, but was still a little on the small side, in fact the whole hotel is quite 'compact', but we were out exploring most of the time so that did not much matter to us. Definitely recommend for this part of town.

From the Momment I arrived Until the very minute I left I received Service that I was so touched by. This staff understands GUEST SERVICE..The Manager At the time of my stay was Nzakiah Raja..Who should teach the Course on How to Run A hotel. Her commitment to ensuring your stay is enjoyable,comfortable,,relaxing is very evident in every interaction you have with her team..From the wonderful friendly atmosphere she has created with her team from the security all the way to cleaning staff you get a sense your truly important to them. I at this point had been travelling Away from home for 4 months alone..The kindness and true generosity of spirit touched me greatly..The Staff know your name upon seeing and greating you. The Value for the money is very much represented here..I would go so far as saying they more than exceed the 3star label. The hotel is well laid out, conviente to everything..You are in the heart of the area, and you will not be disappointed. Love the boutique nature and the balance of respecting your privacy but yet making you feel welcome.. I highly recommend you book here. I know I will be back.

Don't Let This Hidden Gem of KL Known to Others!

1. You can't possibly find a hotel of this exceptional quality at this price. The bed was obviously new, clean and elegant. Its room design with the lightings was more than satisfactory. The aircon also seemed new, clean and well-functioning. My first impression was, I was more than lucky to find any hotel like this.

2. The general facilities of this hotel were of excellent condition as well. Just look at the pictures! I've met a Korean lady who just visited the cafe at the first floor. She shared with me that she came here as she found this place \"cool\" for a cup of coffee. What I liked the most, however, was more than the first floor: The hallway at the 4th floor I was staying was both well-airconditioned and carpeted, pleasantly welcoming my short journey to the room.

3. The customer service: They called me by my name when I first arrived at the hotel, the friendliness of which I could hardly see from other 5-star hotels in my life. That's just the beginning. When I came from a short trip in Singapore, I had one trouble with the four-star hotel called Hotel Miramar. I shared this concern with the hotel supervisor, who spent her 20 minutes just to give advice for me. I am unsure if I could expect it from anywhere else, especially at this price you pay for the hotel.

In general, I am 100% convinced that no hotel can be reserved at this price. I personally wish this place won't be well-known so that I can be the only one having its great facilities all alone!

Room is okay. the location is perfect.

There was a used tissue on the floor when I checked in. The toilet seater was broken. The room I stayed is without windows so it's a little bit smelly and humid. The location is very good. The metro station is 5-10 mins away.
