Great location however no hot water for the entirety of our stay without any compensation was definitely not par. Also crazy gym and pool hours. For anyone that needs to do their workout early or later in the day, you’re out of luck with this gym. It should define open before 8/9am and later than 6/7.

Absolute disaster from the minute we arrived only to be told our room had been given to someone else, was our anniversary trip ended up with 2 single beds, a bunch of hidden taxes we allegedly had not paid and were basically told if we didn’t like the room offered we could simply leave and find something else, aside from the location I have absolutely no positives to offer about my stay, the property or the rude staff, room cleanliness not up to standard.

great hotel shame about some of the guests

The hotel is in a very good spot. Thankfully managed to get parking as there isn't a lot of it. The pol is nice enough. The only issues being that some guests use the roof to dry their clothes draped underpants are not good clean or otherwise. I witnessed several guests in the pool in their underwear too. and others drinking and eating in the pool (yes in the water) so a bit of supervision up there might not go a miss or clearer signage.

First of all a room without a view doesy mean a room without window in my opinion. However that is what you get.

The hotel is popular with Chinese and Indian. They have different standards to loudness and etiquette than Westerner travelers.
The superior room is definitely worth the upgrade.
Swimming pool is poorly maintained, and next to the smoking area.

Don't waste cash on Breakfast

Very aggressive clientele, clear foreigners are not welcome. Extremely noisy. Air conditioning is linked to other rooms, air gets musty & thick with moisture in middle of the night. Breakfast is a pitiful joke. Thin watery rice porridge, baked beans from a can, chicken curry, scrambled eggs, chicken \"hotdogs\" cut up & passed off as sausage, rice & a mee gorang that's loaded with MSG. Oh, fake OJ, and toast. So thankful I didn't pay an extra $20 for the room w/breakfast included. If you pay on property, it's just $5 per person. (20RM) breakfast time is limited to 7-10am and the only decent dish (a chicken curry with potatoes, little chicken, lots of potatoes) runs out quickly after 7am and won't be replenished. The only dished that get topped up are eggs, rice. Expect to elbow your way to buffet and play musical chairs, as there's not enough seats available for sheer # of guests.
Laundry can be done for an inflated fee of $4(16RM) per item. (Not per kg). You can do laundry yourself across street. Airport shuttle is double the taxi rate. Tours booked through hotel service are double & triple the price at tour agent. Gym was ok, pool ok. Rooms are moist & bathroom shower grout coated in mold.

The hotel was fine but I had a really bad experience with Air Asia. Their policy is that you need to be at the gate at least 20 minutes before the flight or they will cancel your booking. I did not know that and arrived a few minutes late. They did not let me board in spite of the plane still being at the gate.I had to re book on a later flight pay 600mr penalty and sit at KL airport for 7 hours until the next flight. They just do that so they can make more money. Never fly Air Asia if there is any other option.

The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the train and within easy walking distance of Chinatown, museums and some of the most viewed sites in KL. The staff were great, the room was spacious and comfortable and a good shower is always welcome. For the price, having access to a swimming pool was a bonus!
Beware that the cheaper rooms are internal to the structure and do not have windows. I found this quite weird at first, but I quickly realised that I'm only sleeping there and I'm impressed at how clean they managed to keep a room with very little natural ventillation.
If I had but one bit of feedback, the doors would benefit from slightly slower closing mechanisms; inconsiderate neighbours can make quiet a bit of noise!

Hotel is ideally situated. It is near Masjid Jamek station, which is an interchange station, meaning that you have access to more areas in KL. It is also within walking distance to Petaling St, Central Market and 24 hour fast food restaurants.

There are some things which are not ideal, such as the slow lifts, air-conditioning where I can't really control the temperature and on my first night, there wasn't enough toilet paper.

One thing I would recommend if you're staying at this hotel. If you can afford it, try and get a room with a window. I can't complain because it was very clearly stated when doing the bookings, but just didn't know it was such a weird experience to be staying in a room with no window.

Good location

This hotel is a stone's throw to the River of Life, a very good place to visit at night. Just a 100 meters away from Central Market, where you can buy cheap souvenir items and a food court inside. A block away is the Chinatown, where lots of restaurants and many items to buy. Be sure to ask for a discount whenever you will buy some items.
Downstairs at the hotel are 2 convenient stores, both open in 24 hours. A few meters away is the bus stop, where you can avail of free rides, just be aware of the color coding of the bus lines. You can take these buses in going to KLCC, Bukit Bintang, KL Tower, etc. for free.
Within the proximity of the hotel are KFC, Mc Do, King's Burger, etc. There's also a Filipino restaurant a grocery store at Kota Raya. Location wise, this a good place to stay.

Great location, comfortable beds, nice amenities such as the small rooftop pool and gym. My only issue is the thing walls (and generally consistent noisy patrons).. over a few days with guests coming and going, it seems the hotel attracts noisy guests.. yelling in the halls, leaving doors open while the buzzer keeps beeping for them to close it, etc etc. Not the hotels fault.. but the thin walls don't help. That said, the staff were nice and overall comfort was good.

You get what you pay for but better

This was ridiculously cheap so I wasn’t holding out much hope for what we would get.
We arrived and it was in a great location, the reception was very busy but the staff were doing hat they could and were polite and helpful.
Our rooms need some work doing, there were some stains on the carpet that looked like bleach marks and the bathrooms and some mould/mildew but not surprising as it’s a room wi5 no ventilation.
The pool was basic but clean, we enjoyed using it. They got us a crib for our baby, which was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the AC worked fine.
Overall it’s a basic hotel but great for the price. Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.

Other facilities: The communal toilet at the ground floor is dirty. They have a nice pool area at the top. ROOM: The room is a good value for what you pay for. But do not expect that the bathroom is as clean as you expect it to be. Tiles are moldy. Carpet is not well-cleaned. LOCATION: This is the best feature of the hotel. Located just a walk away from Central Market and other tourist spots. Would I be back? Probably.

The room I stayed was without window. It is actually quite old but sufficient if you just want to stay for a night. TV no remote control and when I asked the reception, she simply tell me some rooms are without remote control so got to manually adjust. I told her how can that be possible for me to do it and she asked then I have to call housekeeping and ask for the remote control. Ask the housekeeping staff but also no response from them. Their services are rather sloppy. The location is about 7 mins walk to train station and 1-2 mins walk to Central Market but I don't find many eating places nearby.

Service needs improvement. Single staff manning the reception (at night) might have been overworked.... but a simple smile wil make the guests feel welcome, no? By all means place the printer on the front desk instead of the small room? The reduce the movement in and out by the service staff and maybe they wont tire out. Requested for additional blanket (3 times!) but still didnt get it. (why bother to write down the request then?) At checkout was talking to reception staff when she got distracted and excited by some other matters? Quite unproffesional :(

It was a small dark room which for that price I understand it is fear. What I can't accept is the cleaness of the room and the hotel in general. It was very very very dirty, from the bathroom to the room carpet and the bed. I wanted to cry when I got there since I was celebrating my marriage anniversary. The room in the website looks absolutely different from the reality.

No windows in the room, maid servile not performed on 2nd day, rude front manager, no business center, breakfast buffet was garbage, dirty and small pool. No elevator to get to the 9th floor to access the pool or gym....which by the way was small and pathetic.

Great service, nice and clean room

We booked the standard rooms, which were very nice, clean, quiet and with beautiful bathrooms too. The service was amazing and the staff were helpful at all times. The pool area was very small and with no sunbeds, however both pretty and with a decent sized pool and a nice view looking over the city. The area is fine, right next to some cozy markets, Chinatown and a metro station. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

Location of pacific express is good, close to markets and other fast food places if you're not keen on the local food.
Uber would get lost finding the place. Big difference between and level 3 and 8 room. Level 3 was standard with no windows and you could hear everyone shutting doors and ringing bells. Level 8 was quieter but was very hot, the aircon was on at 10degrees.
Staff at reception was polite but cleaners never spoke.
Beds were average, flatted sheets and you never want to touch the mattress. Bedding was white but had random stains , advised to bring your own sheets and pillow cases.
Overall the location was a bonus.

This really make me disappointed about this hotel , the location is friendly public transport. But as a local guest, we need a parking area and supposed to be free not have to pay for the parking as a rm35 for one night

location is very handy, plus close to a few metro stops. I took the cheaper room, which had no window, but was perfect because it made it dark, great for sleeping. Sound proofing is not the best, and Asian people seem to have no respect, no matter what time of day, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Pool is smaller but refreshing. Note that it is very hot up there, since no wind moves around because of the high glass walls. There are also no lounges to sun tan so you are laying on the ground. Gym is decent, with AC and water jug. 2 bottles of water in the room, plus coffee and tea. No alarm clock tho. Beds are real comfy, shower is great, and wifi works everywhere, except everytime you leave the hotel, you are required to log in again, a real pain

Considering the money I paid, it is definitely value for money. Bathroom is exceptionally spacious. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

I would be happier if the room (also bathroom) is provided with better and brighter lighting. The shower door, which doubles as bathroom door, does not close properly. That causes in a large amount of water seeping through the door.

When I checked in I found out that my room had no windows. In addition, the lights in the room were so weak that I felt depressed in the room. I asked to move to another room, I was told that the hotel was fully booked that day and I could move to a room with window the next day. I accepted to change the room the next day. The next day, I was once told again there were no available rooms... So I had to stay in that room for 4 nights. The hotel doesn't have a lobby where you can sit down, relax, have a drink, if you want to escape from your room. It looks like they have turned every available space into rooms.... I really would never think to go back.

Good Hotel at this rate

Fantastic location. There are restaurant, cafe and 24 hr convenience store nearby. Transportation are convenience as there are LRT station nearby too. The sweet thing is Petaling Street and Central Market are within walking distance thus we can stay at this 2 tourist spot till late night without worrying of no transportation.

I stayed here in November 2015 on the 8th floor, room was spacious, pool was nice, staff friendly & great base for the budget.
So this November 2016 my husband and I decided to stay here again, but this time we were put on the second floor which the room was much smaller although I had booked the same room type. The room was dirty (Room 8205), and there was a stain on the wall (which looked like someone had picked their nose and wiped it on the wall, it was gross, and was never cleaned throughout our 10 night stay). The room was cleaned daily, and by this I mean bed was made, bathroom wiped down, bins emptied, water replenished, but they didn't seem to vacuum the floors, and throughout our 10 night stay, only ONCE did they replenish the loo roll. (Every evening when we returned to our room, we had no toilet roll, so had to keep calling the receptionist (who was always very friendly and sent someone up with loo roll). Not only did we have a problem with the loo roll, we had a problem with the towels. There was 2 of us staying at the hotel, but every day we would only get 1 towel!, yes only 1 towel? did they expect us to share the same towel? And what happened to the hand towels? Usually in a hotel room you would expect, hand towels as well as bath towels. So every day we also had to call up for another towel. The receptionist was always friendly, but it was so bothersome for us to keep calling up.
Apart from having some serious issues with house keeping, the hotel was good
