We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the breakfast excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located – not right in the middle of the busiest part of the town but just a short walk there. It is very quiet immediately around the hotel itself. The views from the rooftop Terrace are spectacular. Cannot recommend more highly.

I recently stayed at Cave Hera Hotel in Cappadocia and had a mixed experience.
Pros:
    •    The service was very good — the staff were friendly and accommodating.
    •    The room was spacious and comfortable to move around in.
    •    Great location, close to the town center and convenient for exploring the area.
Cons:
    •    The bed was uncomfortable, which made it difficult to rest well.
    •    The pillows weren’t great and could definitely use an upgrade.
    •    If sleep comfort is a priority for you, this hotel might not fully meet expectations.
Overall, Cave Hera offers solid service and a great location, but the sleep quality could be improved.

Not as charming as alternatives

The hotel is situated in a typical cave building, which is nice, but the location is not great especially relative to alternatives that are further up the hill. Also the public spaces within the hotel are much less charming than in other hotels and there is no dedicated restaurant. Breakfast is served in a fairly dingy basement with no windows and is very average. The coffee is extremely bad - the machine makes some kind of odd flavored instant coffee mix which is undrinkable. Overall I would suggest something higher in the hill with views and better spaces to eat and relax.

We stayed at honeymoon suite. This place is amazing! Top notch 👌. Staff are nice and the room was unbelievably beautiful and charming. Easy access, peaceful. Visually the place looks great, but the beds are not comfortable, the AC works when it wanted to, the breakfast buffet is limited based on other hotels and the kitchen staff is mean. Out of all the staff we encountered, there was just one person who was nice to us. Everyone else is always annoyed even before you approach them. The worst part was we had made an error with our arrival time. We thought we were arriving at 2:50PM, but in fact it was 2:50AM. On our way to the airport in Istanbul, I saw that there was room availability on Expedia, but I ran out of time to book it as I had to board the plane. When we arrived at Hera, the front desk said that there were rooms available but he couldn’t give them to us. We don’t know the reason why. We offered to pay, he still refused. He offered us to wait in the lobby all night. I had to sleep in the lobby. No dignity! It was humiliating!!! People were coming and going. After a late night flight, I was exhausted. We searched the surrounding area for other hotel rooms, but we were not sure how far they were as we would have to walk with all of our luggage in tow. This hotel needs training on customer care in my opinion.

Spectacular property in a great location - about 200 meters from downtown Goreme. Amazing customer service, excellent amenities, the rooms are beautiful and very clean. It’s such a cool experience to stay at this cave hotel - our room had a Turkish hamam. We’d love to go back and stay there again. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who we encountered from the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Fatih was so helpful and catered to all our asks.

The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars Is because we communicated our need for 2 beds well in advance and were assured it would be provided but it was not. The beds are only full size so sharing was very uncomfortable.

Otherwise the property was clean, well-maintained, and had excellent WiFi and AC. The breakfast provided by the hotel is truly excellent - it has numerous options and the quality was by the far the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Turkey.

The beds are small and very firm (IMO too firm).

Because the hotel is built in caves on the side of a hill, there are many stairs some of which are a lot treacherous so I would not recommend it if you have accessibility issues.

The verandas offer beautiful views of the area. The shops and restaurants in downtown Goreme are within a short walk.

The hotel staff helped us book our excursions (balloon ride and jeep safari), which was very helpful and we really enjoyed them.

The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city center, with stunning rooftop views of hot air balloons drifting over the landscape, as well as the nearby open-air museum and other must-see attractions.
The breakfast choices were outstanding, fresh, and flavorful.
The staff were exceptionally accommodating, professional and friendly.
So glad we stayed here at Hera Cave Suites.

Asim in front desk was really awesome . I left my phone in the taxi I arrived and she was able to track it down and got the driver to drop it back to us .

Hotel is amazing with walking distance to town for restaurants and shopping .

Ballon viewing from the terrace in the AM was truly magically when over 100 balloons in the air . Breakfast in the morning was good as well !

We will definitely stay here when we come back .

Stunning property, I absolutely loved our room! The bathroom was also very spacious and had a tub. Lovely views of Göreme and centrally located. The attention was great our room was available ahead of time (yay!), and they took care of our luggage after checking out. They helped us to our rooms and explained the room features. Their breakfast was also delicious!

The bathroom was large with all the amenities needed. The breakfast served had a lot of options, we could order specialty omelet. The restaurant was also cave looking. The hotel is built as a cave and has a wonderful view. The staff is incredible, the girl called Asia was always happy to assist us and book a delicious evening with music and folk dance. The bell boy OMG, he carry all our luggage to the 3rd floor effortless. All the place was magical. Thanks for making our stay unbelievable. The restaurant across the street was incredible too and downtown is about 15 walking.

We had a verybgood experience at Hera Cave and Suites. First time visitong Cappadocia so was bot sure what to expect of a cave hotel. But this one did exceed expectations. A very large room with cave like experience but with all the amenities. Staff was very nice, helpful and courtous. A huge shout out to Asiye on the front desk who helped us with our tour bookings and also helped us rebook a flight as we hit a snowstorm and our flight got canceled.

The area was good and the breakfast was okay. The room was musty with no bathroom ventalation. Black mold surrounded the shower doors on the lower walls. Glass doors you could no longer see through due to gross build up on them. Tried a bath in the pretty claw foot tub.... the plunbing in the wall was broken and it flooded the floor. The rooms are much darker inside than they appear in the pictures. Too bad because this place has promise. Because of the black mold and serious musty smell i would not recommend this hotel for people with breathing issues.
I wish I could attach pictures!!!

Great property, the rooftop is nice, designed for instagrammers but you can actually have a good time there and bring your own drinks, shisha.

One grip I have is that during breakfast they need to upgrade their extractor fan, when you come out of breakfast you end up smelling like you have been cooking in a dungeon for hours - nothing major just a small consideration not that pleasant.
Over all the property is great, great service, great staff, friendly, warm and awesome feel with caves and stone.

Exceptional Staff: The staff is extremely hospitable, going above and beyond to assist and enhance your stay.
Ideal Location: Perfect for exploring Goreme, it’s within walking distance to the city center yet remains quiet at night.
Unique Decor: Rooms feature charming themed decorations.
Cons:
Dim and Small Rooms: Our Cave Suite was quite dark and compact. We also experienced dust falling from the stucco ceiling whenever guests upstairs moved around.

Unmaintained Terrace: The advertised terrace with cushions for viewing balloons and taking pictures was disappointing. The platform with cushions, as advertised, did not exist. The cushions were neglected, stacked under a shed, and very dirty.

Great place to stay. Not enough light inside the suite to get ready if you are going out to dinner or want to trim your beard. The hotel shuttle service is also extremely expensive. We recommend renting a car and not relying on the hotel for taxi/shuttle service

We loved our stay at Hera Cave Suites. We had 3 rooms, one on the ground floor great for those tired after a long day of hiking. The upper floors offered beautiful views. The breakfast was wonderful. Our tours and hiking were convenient from the hotel and many marvelous dining options within a 10 minute walk.

The hotel is lovely with lots of areas to sit outside and relax. The location is perfect and walkable to central Goreme and all the restaurants without having to deal with steep roads. Staff is kind and helpful. We booked a sunset ATV tour with the hotel for a fair price and hotel pickup was included which was great!

The only thing I would let future visitors know is that if you book a shuttle transfer with them to/from airport, they will say you can only pay the driver in Euros however we saw them all take Turkish Liras which could have saved us some money since it cost us more converting CAD to EUR vs TL.

I got a complimentary upgrade which started out an amazing stay at Hera Cave. The King suite is huge and has great outdoor space. The common areas have great views of Goreme. Fatih made our stay really special and would make us a bonfire and generally went above and beyond during our stay. The rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a very walkable location. I would definitely stay here again.
