Overall the rooms were comfortable, the staff and attention superb, the breakfast was fantastic. That said there are no ammenities to the facility, parking was as you could find in the area around the hotel, and at 160USD per night off season was a bit dear. In the evenings we frequented other hotels that had highly rated restaurants. The rooms are not authentic actual caves like one will see in tours around the area. Overall a good stay.

Paid extra for a room with jacuzzi, they tried to give me a basic room, after complaining they then gave me a room with a jacuzzi without a view! Not impressed.

The walk back from the town is uphill! At least 15min walk not ideal pushing a pram or with kids/ old people.

Hotel breakfast was very good only reason I would give it a 3 star

Clean the room around 3pm not ideal.

Staff response is slow and poor I requested for my room to be cleaned in the morning and never happened until 3pm. It also would hurt to smile more..

The hotel is very very far from where the balloons take off difficult to see the balloons up close.. pictures on the site are very misleading

I paid on the higher side for this hotel but sadly don’t believe it’s worth the money.

Very unique stay in a fairy chimney. A bit dark, could use more windows. They gave us alot of nice toiletries. Bed was comfy. The check in and out was great. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Let us have a late check out with no problem. Held our bags. Only negative was that they were always in the front outside table smoking. Felt like constant group hanging out on smoke breaks. Maybe do those somewhere in back or side where guests are not frequenting. Breakfast was awesome. Loved the food choices and attentive staff for coffee and tea. Small area inside and was too hot outside with not enough umbrellas so there would not be enough tables for everyone. Felt pressure to eat quickly to make room for people standing around. Hotel is at the top of town, not very many restaurants around have to walk into town to eat dinner. Not far just up and downhill so be prepared. Loved the rooftops and bar only complaint is when we went up for early morning to watch balloons cats were all over so pellows and rugs smelled really badly. These needed to be cleaned more regularly. Some had been clawed badly by the cats. Didnt look or seem as nice as what I had seen in pictures.

Disappointing Stay During a Special Occasion – Would Not Recommend

We stayed at Divan Cave Hotel in Cappadocia for two nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.
On the first night, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, it simply wouldn’t cool the room, the outside temperature was around 35°C. We called for help, and the staff member who came to check the AC seemed visibly irritated while trying to fix it. He insisted it was working even though the room temperature didn’t improve at all. We had to repeatedly tell him that it was still the same. Eventually, the lady at reception came and offered to provide fans for the night, promising to look into switching our room the next morning. But no one followed up the next day, and we were left to spend another hot night with a poorly functioning AC and just fans. It was difficult to sleep in that.
To make matters worse, when we checked in, the fridge in the room was unplugged. We had drinks with us that we were hoping to enjoy during our anniversary celebration, but they were warm and took hours to cool after we plugged it in ourselves.
Overall, for what was supposed to be a special and memorable stay, the lack of proper service and attention to guest comfort was really disappointing. We expected much better from this hotel and it’s unfortunate that this experience at Divan Cave Hotel ended up disappointing.

AMAZING hotel! This is probably the highest cave hotel in the Goreme valley so you have exceptional views. We stayed in a room with a hot tub it was incredible, very luxurious and spacious. Staff was friendly and informative we loved the girl w glasses at reception super nice. The breakfast was the best spread we had in our two weeks in Turkey- the juice! Best juice I’ve had in my life. Rooftop had a nice view we did have a lot of rain during our time but it was nice when we got to go up there, I could look at that view forever. Very nice restaurants nearby. Very hilly area I do not think this hotel is handicap accessible, and the only tip I have for staying here is the cave rooms don’t have airflow so make sure you turn on the AC before bed just for airflow during the night. The iconic hot air balloons launch from mostly the valley opposite side of town, we switched to a different hotel halfway thru our time in Goreme and even though that was slightly closer to the ballon’s I regret it! Divan Cave house was epic for all things highly recommend staying here.

- Staff from reception to breakfast to cleaners was super friendly and welcoming

- Room was as expected and clean but needed extra pillows. Where our room was it was noisy. We could hear vans driving past people walking past.

- Breakfast staff was welcoming and food was decent. Service was very good.

- Area very convenient. Restaurants and shopping all in walking distant. Had to do a lot of incline and decline walking so be prepared for that and being comfortable walking shoes.

- Would definitely recommend this hotel and pay for more to have a better room!

The room was very nice but our bathroom had a bad odor from a mold/mildew problem, we had to keep the bathroom window open for proper ventilation. The TV could not convert to English-speaking movies, which was disappointing.

What a beautiful hotel, made me feel like we were living like kings and queens! The rooms were massive and was very nice and cozy! They can help you book anything you would like at the front desk. There is an amazing rooftop to watch the hot air balloons in the mornings and the complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve had! You can tell they make everything fresh and it was absolutely delicious. It’s up the hill from the main part of town but everything is walkable. Staff was super helpful and nice. Would recommend staying here!

Check in could be faster though as the person at the desk tries to sell excursions and tours while people are checking in, which causes a line of people waiting to check in.

The hotel has no internet in the room , only at reception , also it’s up the hill , not in the heart of town but it’s a 9 minute walk . We heard car coming at night from our room as people get picked up at 4:15-4:30 am to ride to to hot air balloons . We had a suite but the smaller room had no windows and no AC .
The staff is very friendly . Breakfast is ok but no omelette .

Great rooftop to see hot air balloons

One of the highest rooftops to see the hot air balloons take off. I recommend staying here just for that. The room itself was ok but the lack of windows made it hard to get ventilation in. It unfortunately rained and the walls of the room became wet which seems to be a structural issue. The breakfast was very nice.

Osman Ozbek is a high class employee. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly during the stay. He is a very genuine tand polite person which it makes the stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel if you go to Cappadocia. Also, the terrace has the best view for the Ballons. 5 stars !!

The property is somewhat ok. You could have the same amenities in other hotels with a lower price. Our general stay was pleasant however the hotel crew could have been a little nice to us. It was the third and last hotel that we had stayed on our 5-day Cappadocia tour. I expected a lot since it has good reviews but it was not. In totality, the experience would have been better if some of the hotel crew are nicer.

I and my wife came on holiday to Cappadocia. The staff especially Abdula was really helpful and friendly staff member. When no taxi wanted to come to pick up due to short distance. Staff Abdula offered us to drop us to bus station. Divan hotel has got best staff and the hotel has got amazing rootop view. We will be back to Divan.

We had a great time at Divan Cave House. Special thanks to the staff and Kenan for helping us and taking care of us during our stay. It was very easy to book activities with the reception and the hotel helped with transportation.

The hotel offers genuine cave rooms which we wanted to experience. The hotel also has a great rooftop bar with great views of the surrounding. While the hotel does not have a restaurant, it offers a great breakfast every day. There are a number of restaurants nearby and the town centre is around 10 mins walk away.

Only downsides were that the hotel is on the mountain which means there is a bit of an elevated walk to get to it from the town centre. Also the only tv channels available were in Turkish

This property is incredibly unique and beautiful. The staff is exceedingly helpful and very accommodating. Kenan helped us reschedule our balloon ride after ours was canceled due to weather which would have been extremely difficult for us to do on our own. Achmed was very accommodating at the loveliest breakfast by providing us with fresh omelets and coffee in addition to the buffet. The views were amazing and the property was very clean. We would stay here again and hope to again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it. We have already recommended it to friends who are going to Göreme in the near future. The property has (what I think are) the best views in the area. We were able to walk out of our room and instantly be met with the hot air balloons in the morning. Not only that, that staff are all amazing! They all were available to help and booked us for the activities we wanted to do, gave us restaurant suggestions and we’re overall the best team we met while staying in Turkey. We have a special shout-out to Ahmet for his amazing service. He treated us like friends and was always available for anything we needed. We booked the fairy chimney room which was small but we expected that from the description. It was comfortable, cozy, and clean. I highly recommend this hotel!!

We LOVED our stay here. The room was quite large and had a indoor jacuzzi (minus jets) in the lower level. Can’t imagine it but it’s true. And large enough for 4 people. The bedroom had a king bed. The living room area had a sofa bed and an additional bed. Lots of outdoor rooftops, sitting areas. You can see all of the balloons in the morning . Breakfast was so good.Eggs made to order along with other food. Walkable to restaurants. The staff was exceptional. We lost our phone on the tour. Akmet (sp?) took the 4x4 and went to pick it up. Amazing!!! They arranged the green tour and airport transport. Only con: the bedroom doesn’t have the a/c so it was a little warm. I would recommend and stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

My family spent three days in the hotel and the staff in the hotel are very kind and friendly! The buffet style breakfast is very delicious and has lots of options. Fantastic rooms, services, breakfast!!! The staff was particularly helpful with bookings and even organizing a private tour of some amazing caves. The staff truly and genuinely cares. My special thanks to Abdulah who was amazing with taking complete care of my family. One super sweet mention, this morning we had a really light breakfast (they have all kinds of foods) so we had at least 3 people coming up to our table asking what else they could offer to us. Priceless feeling as a guest! We will be back here for sure.
