We had a very good time in Travellers cave hotel.The view from our room was amazing and we had a very good view of the hot air balloons in the morning. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. We had authentic Turkish breakfast as a complementary. Overall best experience.

We came at around 7 pm to check-in but found no one at the reception (several other guests were waiting as well). It took at least 10 minutes from when we arrived for staff to arrive.
The room we booked was overall clean. The bathroom was spacious but the lighting was very dim.
The property has many floors and lots of steps, so it's quite the workout to get around. It is one of the highest hotels in Göreme and has spectacular, unobstructed views. Their terraces have diverse options for photography, including carpets, a swing, a bed, and a jacuzzi.
Overall, this hotel's service and room maintenance could be better, but it is a great choice to take instagrammable photos on their terraces.

Love this property!

We absolutely LOVED this hotel! The room was very unique with the cave feel and theme, bed was comfy, living space had a nice sitting area, real fire place, tons of space, bathroom was huge and clean. Only thing that was a bit bothersome was the floor got super wet when we showered – the seal wasn't the best but it didn't ruin our time there. The staff were so helpful and kind to us, they helped us coordinate shuttles for our excursions without question and made sure we were safe and informed at all times. There isn't a pool as stated but there is a jacuzzi tub which was right outside our room (room 5) with a little bistro set. The hotel is pretty much at the highest point in the town, so the views are second to none during the day and at night when everything is lit up. We woke up early on our last day to watch the hot air balloons rise in the fields below, it was an incredible sight to see. There are tons of spots they have set up around the property to take memorable vacation photos. A buffet breakfast is included so we were able to save some money on dining out every day in the morning. My boyfriend and I cannot speak more highly of this property. Caution for those who have trouble walking, since the property is up quite high and it is a very warm climate, you may need to consider booking a shuttle to get you there. Nice cave hotel

Very nice location and friendly staff.
We enjoy our stay in the hotel as it has amazing view, especially in the evening. Lots of flowers, small decorations that are so pretty.
There were some problems with the toilet fan noise, shower head, but they came to fix very quickly. (Thanks to the staff whom came to fix)
Breakfast was included and it was standard Turkish style, the young lady there was so sweet.
Check out time is 11am and strictly 11am. But we could leave the luggage there and come back to take them later.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Travellers Cave Hotel. The staff were so helpful, friendly (even giving us a slice of cake!) and we booked ATV and Green tours and airport transfers through the hotel for convenience and better prices. We researched many Göreme hotels before deciding on this one for the view of the balloons from the terrace and it was outstanding. The deluxe room with jacuzzi and the breakfast were excellent!

It was ok, could be improved

It seemed a great place once upon a time, but not well maintained (the taps are loose, some of the bulbs are broken and not replaced, jacuzzi button wasn’t working, the terrace was full of fluff). The staff was friendly.
It was ok for the price we paid, considering how expensive the other hotels are.

The property has a wonderful location at the top of a hill. The views from the hotel are incredible. The hotel itself is centrally located, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the jacuzzi - very relaxing after a hectic day exploring the sites! The team were incredible. The reception staff were so warm and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. They really made our stay special! Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Just spent four amazing nights in Goreme (in the heart of Cappadocia) and this hotel was one of the highlights. The views from the rooftop are outstanding from morning balloons to night time bonfires, and the cave rooms were large and cozy with in-suite fireplaces. The Turkish breakfast on site was delicious, and the hotel staff were incredibly kind and ready to help for any needs we had throughout the stay. 10/10, highly recommended for all travelers!

Everyone was so kind, hospitable, and professional and I am very grateful for the care I received here. The hotel itself is SO clean, has hot running water, toiletries, wifi, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. They offer laundry service for an affordable price and they clean the room daily and bring packaged towels and toiletries fresh everyday. The views from this hotel are spectacular. I enjoyed watching the balloons in the morning and having hookah and tea at night. Also the morning breakfast on terrace is excellent. The fireplace in the room is also charming and perfect way to end the night. A perfect stay and I will most certainly stay here when I return. Thank you all, God bless and take care!!!

We LOVED this hotel, the location and the service.
Getting up early morning is a must to see the air-balloons taking off. Some of the even come really close to the terrace of the hotel. However, my room was so perfect, that we didn't need to go to the terrace to appreciate the spectacular view. This hotel is walking distance from the center of Goreme, just have to walk down a long set of stair. (if you're not good with stairs, you could have a nice stop in the landing/terrace, or just drive down to town)
The service of the hotel included offering the different tours around the city, including the air-balloon one.
I feel bad for not remembering his name, but he suggested 5 different operator letting us choose whichever we prefer. There was no pressure from there part to choose an specific one, which I appreciated a lot. We chose Deluxe because suppose to be a small group of 12, and at the end it was even better with a group of 8 and a good pilot.
The only small critic from this hotel, which is a comment we directly gave to the manager, it was the breakfast's juice. It wasn't juice but Clay, and I personally don't like it. I think it doesn't cost much to have at least regular orange juice.
The value of the hotel is great for what you get. Is not extremely expensive as other, and our room was super cozy.
We are living in Ankara and I have pass their info to all our friends.
100% recommended !

Make sure you reserve for the lower number rooms, which are located on higher levels and closer to the reception. Our room was unfortunately on the lower levels, and we had to climb over a hundred steps to get to the reception. But it was definitely worth it because on the higher levels, the view over the town of goreme is just breathtaking. Make sure you go out on the patio in the early mornings, around 6:00, even if you are not planning to go on the balloon tour, because you can see hundreds of balloons lifting off lighting up the nights of Capadoccia. The staff are super friendly and will help you with any travel arrangements and others. Special thanks to Huseyin, who was a big help for us throughout our stay, and for being a super friend. I would definitely return to this venue, hopefully to a higher-level room, and recommend it to friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The manager, Hakan Kumral was really OUTSTANDING. He made our stay really easy. Helped us book balloon tour, city tour, airport transfers, and even took time to give us some history of the geology. Location is up high. Cave rooms are really unique. View is super. Very close to town. There are approx, 80 or 90 steps to walk to town. Would highly recommend Seten for dinner. Very close by.

The service is very good with the staff, and the hotel room is very nice with hitting conditions. You can also set up the fireplace by yourself - it's very considerate in such a cold winter. The breakfast is very good with varied serve and nice view dinning room. But the Korean woman there served client very cold and with bad temper - seemed to be the manager or owner something. Anyway, she doesn't really matter.

Significant disparity between rooms

Some of the rooms are considerably farther down the hill (the entire hotel is on a hill) than others. Meaning more stairs to climb and a poorer view. Additionally, at the lower levels the rooms are next to a homeless shelter / shanty structure. I don't even think some of the lower levels (higher room numbers) are actual caves but rather completely man-made structures. Staff is highly professional and courteous, very friendly people. Unfortunately, they can't change how some of the higher numbered rooms (rooms are numbered #1-#13) are designed.

Hakan was amazing! He greeted us upon late arrival from kayseri which he had previously arranged a shuttle for. Super helpful with recommending and booking balloon trips and sightseeing tours as well as local restaurants. Very impressed with his hospitality. The rooms were beautiful and beds were comfortable. We even had a jacuzzi tub (and as well as a shower) in our room. View from the hotel was great at various levels. Overall, Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip so far!

The hotel is located on the top of the hill in Goreme and guests can enjoy beautiful landscape. I joined the jeep safari tour which the hotel organizes and it was really exciting experience. The hotel has late breakfast from 8 am, however, they prepared me a sandwhich, because I had early flight. The staff is really supportive. I want to use this hotel again.

This hotel was GRREAT! Couldnt of picked better. At first I was worried it was a bit far from the main streets before I got there...but it WASN'T, it was perfect (5mins out of the busy Main Street, and tucked in enough for peace and quiet). The hotel was FAB- and probably had the best breakfast i had in my entire month stay travelling around Turkey. Wifi everywhere in the hotel which is a plus, so you can be on your iPad while staring at the amazing views (the hotel has the best terraces and is higher up on the mountain so the views are one of the best in Goreme). I'm a solo female traveller and the hotel made me feel right at home!
My room was great - who wouldn't want to stay in a cave hotel!!! I highly recommend this place! Only thing, if you don't like stairs, ask for a room closer to the top floors...

This hotel is spread down one of those Cappadocia slopes that you came here to see. Almost all of the rooms are almost entirely carved into the slope (ours was not, but the back wall was clearly chiseled out of the rock). The official entrance is at the top, and that is where you head for breakfast (if Stairmaster is your thing, ask for a room near the bottom for a great exercise before breakfast). Have breakfast on the patio, and enjoy a great view of Goreme and the mesas that surround it. There is also an entrance at the bottom, making it easier to return after walking around Goreme. The breakfast was good - not a huge selection, but plenty to get us ready for the day. The staff speaks English and, I'm guessing, Mandarin. The bathrooms are modern, and ours included a Jacuzzi.

A nice cave experience

We rolled into Göreme around 6:30am and the hotel staff held our baggage for us, fed us breakfast and got us going for our tour. Everyone here was nice and accommodating. The room was perfect--cavelike, fireplace, comfy. The hotel overlooks the city giving a perfect view of the hot air balloons taking their early morning flights.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. The people were some of the nicest and most hospitable we met on this trip, and that's saying a lot because Turkish people are extremely welcoming. We stayed in room 11, which was in a cave with a nice little window and its own cliffside terrace. The hotel has a terrace restaurant and also a patio with breathtaking 360 degree views. We loved relaxing on the pillows there with a drink. The hotel will arrange any sort of tour you want, and their rates are in line with anywhere else, and it's convenient because the tour will pick you up on site and you can combine the charges with your hotel stay, so you pay all at once. The hotel provides transfers to either major airport for a reasonable rate, so we did this both ways. The location was perfect--perched way up on the hillside in Goreme, so the views are spectacular, yet if you want to walk downtown the walk really isn't that long and is gorgeous, so you don't really think about it anyway. There are also hillsides and some little caves to explore right around the hotel, which we did by going on a run one morning. With hot air balloons floating all around, mornings here were truly magical. On the last day we were checking out before breakfast, so they even packed us a breakfast to go.

In fact the day we had our flight out of cappudocia, they had breakfast for us packed even without request.

As son as the booking was done, Bekir from the hotel contacted us to confirm the booking and gave the options for the tours, transfer from airport and the ballon ride.

This hotel is a great stay and would definitely recommend

Close to balloon companies and other sights

The stay was terrific. Unexpected pleasure was the fantastic chef. Wonderful dining. Only drawback; the climb. 97 steps from our room near the bottom of the hotel to the dining room, terraces and office. Best to inquire in advance for room location. It is a hillside cave hotel so a climb is expected but prior arrangements can reduce the climb. I would suggest paying for all meals and extras in Turkish Lira. Hotel exchange rate is high. I would absolutely reccommend the hotel to anyone going to Capadoccia.

What a great experience. The terraced structure offers many viewpoints and seating options to watch the balloons float by and enjoy the view of Goreme. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic.

But what made it amazing was the staff - they're so friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about your stay. They arranged transportation to/from the airport, our daily tours of the region, and balloon rides. I highly recommend Traveller's Cave.

Nice hotel in Capadoccia

Nice hotel, very well kept, safe. Located on top of a hill has a great view of the city. Down hill is downtown, so everything is close, Staff was very friendly and courteous, informing about available tours in a friendly way and not pushy at all. Hakan did a great job at providing information. Since we left to the airport early morning staff prepared a packed breakfast with sandwiches, nice touch. They also provide airport transportation for a rsonable fee cheaper than the guys downhill. The only issue we had was that our room was the first one from the street so you cold hearl the vans/cars arriving and people leaving early morning, but it was mostly quiet from 11pm to 6am, so not too bad to get a good night sleep. If you have issues walking up hill a taxi may charge you about 6 TL ($3.5) to take you there or you will have to walk about 1 mile up hill or do lots of stairs from the back. I found Turkish people welcoming and pleasant, I am planning to go back, definitely to Capadoccia and for longer than 2 days, for sure I will stay at this hotel. I do a lot of traveling, and I will definitely recommend this hotel, you will not be dissapointed.

The cave room here, along with the setting, may be the most unique we have ever experienced. We were also struck by how accommodating everyone has been in turkey to do the small things to make your stay more pleasant. Our only disappointment was that the Internet didn't work in our room . The hotel is in a good location, the staff are very friendly, very clean, very confortable, everything or anything you need they will help you. Amazing view from the city...no words to discrib, the best experience!!!!

Nearly Perfect

The hotel has a breathtaking view overlooking Goreme, and the rooms have been been beautifully carved out of the fairy chimneys. The only reasons our stay was less than perfect were because of a leak in the bathroom sink pipes and because of one employee. When we arrived, he made sexist comments about the fact that the woman had driven there instead of the man. Then, he was very pushy about trying to sell us his tour package even when we made it clear we weren't interested. He also mistreated the hotel's cat and two dogs. Everyone else there was very kind and helpful, and the hotel is lovely. Our room had a fireplace, which was perfect to warm up after a rainy, chilly day outdoors. The decor was simple enough to emphasize the cave walls and had touches of Turkish decorations, such as carpets and pottery. The bathroom was spacious and had a Turkish wash basin, a shower, and a jacuzzi bathtub, and the marble matched the cave theme well. The cleaning staff was very thorough, and the breakfast spread was pretty complete. There are adequate signs pointing the way to the hotel from the town center.

Just wonderful!

This hotel and the area of Goreme and Cappadocia were our favorite part of our visit to Turkey. The hotel was beautiful, and everybody working there were genuinely friendly and helpful. It was by far the best room and hotel that we got during our trip through Turkey -the room was very large, decorated with great taste (Cappadocia style), wi-fi, big TV... we loved it! This is the place to stay if you want to visit the area -I cannot recommend it enough.
Just one word of caution: there are lots of steps, so be prepared for the exercise (or make sure to ask for a room near the reception).

Eğer arabayla geliyorsanız ara yollardan ulaşım sağlanıyor Göremenin tepesinde kalıyor, park problemi yok. Arabanızı bırakıp yürüyerek merkeze hemen inebiliyorsunuz. Kahvaltısı çok güzeldi özenle hazırlanıldığı çok belliyd, ev yapımı anne keki, tarçınlı kurabiye, filtre kahveye kadar her şey vardı. Balon manzarası gayet yeterli. Biz terası kahvaltıdan sonra gördük terastan izlemek daha güzel olabilirdi. Odalar fotoğraflarda göründüğü gibi. Genel anlamıyla temizdi. Yalnız bizim tek sıkıntımız iki adet deluxe jakuzili hamamlı oda rezervasyonu yapmıştık alt kattaydı. Odaları üst kattan verdiler bu iyi bir şey ama bir odada jakuzi hamam varken bi odada sadece küvet vardı. Arkadaşlarımız sorun etmediği için bildirmedik resepsiyona. Bence Kapadokya yöresinde kalacaksanız kesinlikle Göremede kalın, Göremede ise iyi tercihlerden biri de kesinlikle bu otel.

Oda pisti. Duş, tuvalet ve jakuzi otel açıldığından beri hiç temizlenmemişti.

Kalan her şey resimlerdeki gibiydi. Güzel tasarlanmış hoş manzaralı bir o da. Sadece temizlik konusunda epey başarısızlar.

동굴 분위기를 느낄 수 있고 괴레메에서도 지대가 높은곳에 있어서 웬만한 전경을 뷰포인트에 가지 않고 한눈에 볼 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 또한 방마다 야외테이블이 있어 밖에 나와 앉아 전경을 바라보거나 가지고온 차 등을 마실 수 있어서 좋았어요.

다만 시설 특성 상인것 같으나 조명이 꽤 어두워서 부모님과 함께하는 여행이라면 이 부분은 고려하시는게 좋을 것 같고, 또한 제가 있던 방은 화장실의 꿉꿉한 냄새가 있어서 냄새에 예민하신 가족이 있다면 고려하시는게 좋을 것 같습니다.

그 외에 시설, 친절도, 또한 제공되는 조식까지 모두가 다 만족스러웠습니다. 😀 고려대상되는 부분을 제외한다면 추천합니다

Yılbaşı için gittik.Otel tepedeki konumda olduğundan ve yollar araç trafiğine kapandığından otele araç ile ulaşamadık.Çok dolaştıktan sonra otel yetkilileri araç gönderip onları takip ederek ters yollardan otele ulaşabildik.
Oda geniş güzel ve kullanışlı.Ancak klima çok yetersiz ısınma için.Şömineyi yakmazsanız oda ısınmıyor.Kahvaltı yeterli ancak kişi sayısına göre hazırlanmamış, bir çok şey sonradan takviye yapıldı.Çay bile bitti.Alt katlardan kahvaltı salonuna ulaşmak çok merdivenli , sabah sporu yapabilirsiniz.Ancak merkeze ulaşmak çok kolay alt kapıdan , tercih sizin : ) Bu küçük detaylar haricinde genel olarak her şey, ilgi alaka, güleryüz , hizmet ,temizlik harikaydı.Teşekkürler Traveller' ailesi ...

Maravilloso en familia

Escogí este hotel para pasar mi cumpleaños con mi familia y fue una muy buena elección. El hotel es una experiencia distinta, dormir en una cueva lo hace diferente, tiene una vista maravillosa y la atención y hospitalidad de quienes lo atienden fue genial. En mi cumpleaños tuvieron un lindo detalle y me ofrecieron una torta para compartir con la familia y también pude hacer uso de la lavandería.
En general muy bien, solo una recomendación y sería actualizar la ropa de cama y un poco más de luz al interior de la habitación.

Otelde hersey mukemmeldi. Sadece somineden dolayi odaya girdigimizde onceden yakilmis oldugundan is kokusu rahatsiz ediciydi ancak tolere edilebilir. Calisanlar ise inanilmaz yardimci ve guler yuzluydu. Ozellikle Ünal, Sadi ve Hakan Beye tesekkur ediyoruz. Ayrica resepsiyondaki hanimefendi de cok yardimciydi.

Great stay!

I stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it! Maybe it’s low season for tourists, they upgraded my room and it’s even more spacious than the one I booked.
The jacuzzi and fireplace in the room were in use as it was freezing outside. There’s a little garden in front of the room that you can overlook the whole town. The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good too!
