The historic 3-star INA Hotel Consul is only a 5-minute walk from Kiel Train Station and the Böllhorn Quay. It offers a daily breakfast buffet (weekdays from 06:30 - 10:00 am, weekends and public holidays from 07:00 - 10:30 am) and good transport connections.
The family-run hotel has brightly furnished rooms with cable TV and a modern bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
The palace “Kieler Schloss”, a well-known place of interest, is only 1. 2 km away from the hotel.

Located in quiet part of town. Ten minutes walk to train station, shops, buses and the fjord. If in the area in the future, I would definitely stay here again.

I had a very bad stay i am a British citizen and I have to wear a special mask instructed by my dr I have a letter but the reception was very rude and sad it’s not valid or r the letter and they did want to accept my fully vaccinated digital certificate

An interesting hotel with all rooms different in a quiet back street. Our large room had a separate seating area and its own balcony with table and chairs. Modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights, and we didn't see any traces of the housekeeping, despite the fact that we leave the key at the reception.
The breakfast selection was poor.
The room we've got wasn't soundproofed at all, we hear a lot of noise from outside. And at about 7am the smell of the kitchen preparing the breakfast is spreaded over the ventilation system, as well as tobacco smoke from time to time.

KEIN Frühstück bekommen. Entgegen der Beschreibung sollte es Frühstück erst ab 7.30Uhr (WOCHENTAGS!!!) geben. Um 7.40Uhr immer noch nichts bereit, so das ich ohne das mitgebuchte Frühstück gehen musste um meinen Zug um 8.00Uhr zu erreichen. Die angebotene Erstattung des Frühstückspreises erfolgte trotz mehrerer Erinnerungen nicht.
Positiv: Fußläufige Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof Kiel, sauberes Bad.
Negativ: Zimmer eher schmuddelig und teils offene improvisierte Elektroverkabelung. Sehr klein. Das zuerst zugewiesene Zimmer roch sehr stark nach Zigarettenrauch. Abweichende Frühstückszeit die für Wochentags absolut inakzeptabel ist. Zugesagte Erstattung erolgte nicht.

Værelset var fint, rent og pænt. Tvét på vores værelse havde ingen programmer! Det fortalte vi i receptionen, og blev lovet at det ville blive ordnet. Det blev det ikke, måske efter vi var rejst? Receptionisten talte meget hurtigt og tysk. Jeg forstår meget af sproget, bare der ikke bliver talt hurtigt. Men det lykkedes at få tjekket ind. Det er dejligt at der er mulighed for parkering i aflåst parkeringshus, mod betaling. Morgenmaden! bliver der en anden gang, så springer vi den over. Første morgen fik vi den kedeligste kaffe, ikke engang mælk kunne løfte den lidt. Det var altså ikke pengene værd.

Der var desværre lidt forvirring ved check in da der ingen mennesker var i receptionen. Værelserne var ikke har.
Jeg havde talt med hotellet før vi ankom ang parkering, men da vi kom forefandtes der ingen parkering ved hotellet andet en af og pålæsning. Vi måtte betale i dyre domme i nærheden.
Ellers var det fint nok, værelserne var fine nok, der var det vi havde brug for. Og i forhold til prisen forventeligt.

Jeg havde talt med hotellet før vi ankom ang parkering, men da vi kom forefandtes der ingen parkering ved hotellet andet en af og pålæsning. Vi måtte betale i dyre domme i nærheden.
Ellers var det fint nok, værelserne var fine nok, der var det vi havde brug for. Og i forhold til prisen forventeligt.

Entscheidend für die Wahl dieses Hotels war die gute Erreichbarkeit zu Fuß vom Bahnhof. Nach dem für uns ungewohnten Erhalt unserer Zimmerkarte klappte alles bestens, das Zimmer war praktisch und zweckmäßig mit erfreulich durchdachtem Stauraum, auch im Bad ( das nehmen wir nächstes Mal mit Dusche statt mit Wanne ), das Frühstück war liebevoll angerichtet, überhaupt sind die Damen der Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit. Keine 200 m zur Wunderino-Ostseehalle, perfekt, und zum Einkauf. Also: beim nächsten Handball-Topspiel sind wir wieder da !

Für eine Nacht vollkommen okay als Überbrückung um eine Reise zu starten von Kiel aus. Leider keine Möglichkeit Getränke zu erwerben, so dass man jeweils in die Stadt gehen muss. Direkt am Sophienhof gelegen, so dass es viele Möglichkeiten gibt.

Wir waren für eine Messe in Kiel dort eingescheckt. Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren alle durchweg freundlich. Nachteil war hier lediglich das es für körperlich gehandicapte Personen es eher schwer ist in das Zimmer zukommen. Für einen kurzaufenthalt wo man nur zum schlafen einkehrt völlig ausreichend. Für ein Päärchenwochenende würde ich es jedoch nicht nochmal nehmen.

Hotellet ligger super godt i forhold til shopping i Kiel, venligt personale, kan være i tvivl om, om der overhovedet var gjort rent på vores værelse, det skulle vi selvfølgelig ha gjort opmærksom på :-( men værelset trænger virkelig til en omgang ( ved godt at det ikke er et dyrt værelse og sikkert også derfor prisen er som den er :-)

However, the room, the carpet, the bedsheets, the pillow cover, and the blanket cover are very dusty. It was hard for us to sleep because it was very dusty. I asked the bedsheets to be replaced the next morning, but they were not replaced although the receptionist said that they would be replaced. After the bedsheets were replaced on the third day, we could sleep well.

Hotel liegt sehr zentral und für 3 Nächte völlig ok....frühs beim Duschen 🚿 gab es nur lauwarmes bis kaltes Wasser....wahrscheinlich weil gerade ca. 7:00 Uhr ALLE geduscht haben. Ansonsten Zimmer sauber und das Frühstück war einfach nur SPITZENKLASSE. Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig und vereinzelt Schimmel im Bad. Kein Aufzug im Hotel. Reinigungsteam verstanden weder deutsch noch englisch und haben mein Zimmer nicht gereinigt obwohl ich das Schild \"Bitte reinigen\" an die Zimmertürklinke gehängt hatte...aber dass alles hat wie gesagt das Sehr gute Frühstück wieder ausgeglichen.
