Clean, nice and quite hotel. Nice staff. No bar or restaurant so perfect for work travels or if you’re passing by. Just outside the central station and harbour and in the city centre. Close to restaurants and shopping. A bit suspect people outside but that’s how it is close to central stations, but felt safe because of police presence.

Room was small, nice view of the harbor, small shower of course…but we just used Intercity for one night to be next to our cruise ship dock. Staff at night (Dennis) was fantastic!!
Breakfast was good. Excellent location next to train station and good shopping mall. Cute restaurant downtown: Dubrovnik features excellent Croatian fare.

Sehr gute Lage, sehr freundlicher Service. Zimmer praktisch. Sauberkeit der Zimmer mittelmaessig, Handtücher teils schon etwas dünn. Achtung: Baustelle im Bahnhof, daher Bohrlärm tagsüber im ganzen Hotel.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel im Stadtzentrum.

Von außen sehr unscheinbar, präsentiert sich das Hotel innen sehr modern und schön. Wasserseitig hat man einen interessanten Blick auf das Hafengeschehen.
Das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich.
Verbesserungswürdig ist die Beschilderung sowohl für die Parkplätze wie auch im Treppenhaus.

forlænget weekend, hotellet ligger godt, gå afstand til hele centrum, og med Sophienhof shopping center lige overfor, og banegården som nabo. Vi havde udsigt over inderhavnen, dejligt. Parkering lige ved siden af i cinemaxX parkeringshus, blot kør op på niveau 4, der er masser af intercity hotel pladser, koster 8 euro i døgnet, og elevator ned i hotellet, fint... Meget lille brusekabine på badeværelset. Vi havde bestilt et værelse med stor dobbeltseng, og fik det bekræftet, men på dagen vi skulle afsted fik vi at vide pr mail, at det i stedet blev et værelse med 2 enkeltsenge, som jo er noget kun smalle, så man vågner mange gange i løbet af natten, når man vender og drejer sig, det er ikke godt nok af hotellet, især når vi havde modtaget bekræftelse på et værelse med dobbeltseng, deres undskyldning var at hotellet var fuldt booket, dårligt dårligt dårligt Intercity hotel Kiel, vi booker et andet sted næste gang.

Good hotel - worth a stay!

Our stay was overall very nice.
We like the Intercity Hotel because of its central location, the free public transport passes and the view from the (better category) rooms towards the harbor.

Albeit: The parking facility, although convenient and fair-privced, is looking rather \"grunchy\" and the hotel needs some TLC as well (soon!). The elevator needs ages to arrive, is slow and can't handle the passenger traffic at breakfast times.

BUT: We will come again!

Friendly front desk. Parking at a reasonable price. Rooms not overly big but ok. Hotel located nearly in city center. Centre only minutes away, as convenience of the the railway station shopping mall (also open on sundays) is. Beautiful walk along the fjord starts right outside.

Rather lacking in modernity and comfort in the rooms. No bar open, so no possibility even to buy coffee and no kettle in room. Disappointing. Bed and bedding not very comfortable.

Great location and fantastic harbor view

The room was small, but clean. The bed was low to the ground and soft. The pillows were not good, we had to use our travel pillows we brought for extra support. What made this hotel stay so enjoyable for us was the huge window and harbor view, as well as the convenient location next to the Central Train Station.

Excelent hotel

We were in Kiel to see a handball match of the local team, THW Kiel. The hotel was our favourite option because was in the city center, and near the train station.

Once we were there, we also liked the hotel room, big tv, the free bus tickets. A lot of stuff for a great price.

Great location, nice view of the Fjord & harbour.

It's a decent hotel, clean and tidy, no an absolutely lovely, helpful staff, and in a great location. But the beds are a little hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows are far too thin, and probably need replacing and/or upgrade.

Located in front of Kiel Hauptbarnhof, it is very convenient. Airport bus departs from the station every hour. If one plans to depart by train or air next day, this is the place. The hotel is a standard middle class hotel. But the breakfast was very nice including a wide variety of foods.

Great Location next to the Hauptbahnhof

Great hotel, located next door to the Hauptbahnhof and as with all InterCity Hotels comes with a free ticket for the public transport for the length of the stay. I had a room overlooking the Kieler Forden (Kiel Fjord) which was very quiet. Room are quite large with a comfy bed - though the pillows are a little limp and they insist on putting two single duvets on a double bed. Breakfasts were good with lots of choice and the restaurant also overlooked the fjord

It's been at least the tenth time we are staying in this hotel. It's basic and not more. Maintanance is lacking but stilll a good place for overnights, not a place to stay there during the day or for real vacation

No air conditioning, then when I opened the window it barely opened; they closed it when they came through to clean it which made it even hotter and finally, when the window was open all I could hear were noises from the train station and drunks partying near the train station, yelling, drinking, bottles clinking - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE AND IT IS NOT A HOTEL WORTHY OF A 4 RATING

very good hotel near to railway station

Hotel was very clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent. There is a good view of the Kiel Canal. Hotel is in close proximity to shops, bars and restaurants and conveniently near to the railway station. The one disappointment was that Expedia advertised a shuttle service to Hamburg Airport but the hotel did not know it existed and that I should contact Expedia. We eventually paid 82 euros for the bus ride to the airport. Surely there should be more communication between hotel and Expedia regarding the shuttle bus service. This was the reason we booked in at the hotel for one night with the advantage of transport to the airport which was included in the price of the hotel stay. Otherwise everything else was perfect. What has Expedia to say about this?

Ich brauchte spontan ein Hotelzimmer in Bahnhofs Nähe und fand das Intercity Hotel Kiel. Ich wurde liebevoll empfangen und bekam ein sehr schönes Zimmer zugeteilt. Sogar mit Doppelbett. Alle Fragen wurden sofort beantwortet und gute Tipps gegeben. Sehr zu empfehlen im Punkto Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und dies mit einem Lächeln.
Beim Zimmer hatte ich Glück mit den ungeraden Zimmernr., mit einem Blick auf die Hörn/Kieler Förde. Und das sie ein kleinen Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer ist.
Nachteil : die Dusche - zu klein, für einen 1,90m mit Bauch, ging gerade so.

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Hauptbahnhof, also absolut zentral.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig genug, und geschmackvoll-schlicht eingerichtet.
Die Betten sind bequem.
Frühstück hatten wir nicht….
Besonders schön war für uns die späte Check-out Zeit bis 12.00 Uhr.
Unser Gepäck konnten wir noch länger deponieren… ein schöner Service.
Der Empfang ist durchgehend besetzt und überaus freundlich.
Wir würden uns wieder für das Hotel entscheiden !!👍

Bahnhofsnah und abgewohnt

In unmittelbarer Nähe zum HBF, mit allen damit einhergehenden Vor-und Nachteilen.
Dias Zimmer ist mit Ausnahme der Matratze ziemlich abgewohnt,.
Das Badezimmer ist genauso klein wie verkalkt, die Toilette mit deutlichen Flecken (ich hoffe, es war nur Kalk) und schiefem Klodeckel und -brille.
Die Geräusche vom Bahnhof sind deutlich zu hören.
Die Zimmer waren noch nicht fertig, auch wenigtens nur Einchecken war um 14h nicht gewünscht.
Das Frühstück ist einfach, wobei die Qualität der Wurst-und Schinkenwaren nicht zufriedenstellend ist.
Das Hotel ist Teil eines Kino- und Einkaufskomplexes mit verschiedener Gastronomie. Murphy's Irish Pub im ersten Stock ist empfehlenswert.
Noch einmal würde ich in Kiel nicht im Intercityhotel übernachten.

Fint hotel, men morgenmaden er lidt under standard i tyskland i forhold til prisen, sengene var til den hårde side, og af en aller anden grund slutter døren ikke helt til i bunden så der slipper lys ind.

Für Kurzaufenthalt in Ordnung

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und auch kompetent. Das Zimmer war in Ordung, nicht ganz sauber und auch das Klopapier war fast zu Ende. Da am ersten Tag keine Reinigung erfolgte wurde diese auch nicht nachgefüllt. Die Seife im Seifenspender war auch leer und wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Die Lage ist sehr gut, direkt am Bahnhof und am Fähranleger sowie direkt am Start der
Hopp on Hopp off Busse, sowie nahe zum Stadtzentrum. Für ein oder zwei Tage ganz in Ordnung.
