I woukd stay here again it’s a Very nice unique hotel in a great location. My only issue would be the hotel is dog friendly and they don’t charge which is nice but if your dog barkes a few times during the day you will get harassed with phone calls and questioned everytime you enter the hotel. I would say it’s more dog intolerant rather than dog friendly.

The Larix is a super place to stay in Kimberely. We talked some friends into staying there as well, and their multiple sitting rooms made it such an inviting and wonderful space to spend time with them. The room was fantastic - tastefully done with everything we needed, included fresh bathrobes. The fresh cookies and muffins, as well as coffee, soft drinks and tea, were all lovely touches that made us feel a bit special.

We loved this hotel! The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic and made every effort to make our stay wonderful. We loved the decor of the hotel as it suited the building and kept with the ski town vibe without playing into the mountain cliches of \"The Mountains are Calling and I must go\" decor that seems to be at every other hotel in the mountains. We also enjoyed the cedar sauna and breakfast.
Our 3 night stay was nearly perfect but unfortunately I am not sure we will return. Upon check in I found a piece of dog food in our room, not a big deal as our room was very clean. I asked the front desk if we were in a pet friendly room. She replied that the entire hotel is dog friendly. We love dogs; however, I am allergic to some breeds. The website does say pet friendly but when I booked I never booked a pet friendly room. It never crossed my mind that every room was pet friendly. Guest services did offer to come vacuum the room again but I didn't feel it was necessary as the room was clean. Unfortunately, pet dander gets deep into carpet and bedding and based on my puffy eyes each morning the previous residents most likely let little scruffy sleep on the bed with them.
If the Larix ever decides to make some of their 20 rooms not pet-friendly we will definitely be back. It is a special place for those people who don't have allergies.

What a beautiful, lovely and quaint hotel! The owners have done a fantastic job of creating a memorable experience. Highlights are obvioulsy the gorgeous ambience in the Library, the music that feels curated by the hour and floats through the hotel, the non stop tea, water, coffee and homemade daily cookies, and the locations is unbeatable. It was amazing to bring our dog, and also to have access to the woodfired Sauna . It felt like boutique luxury the whole way through. Great access to the ski hill, and across the street from the adorable Platzl, full of shops and restaurants. Lastly, the breakfast was amazing, and served in such a beautiful space. Can't wait to come back!

We loved out stay at Larix. We were greeted by Susane and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, service was amazing and we loved their small pantry where they had their cookies, juices, water, coffee and tea. They also had a fridge where you can keep you food in case you have left overs.
The location was top notch just in downtown and overall our stay was great. The breakfast was fresh and had decent options! Definitely come back next time !

The group kept myself and my wife up until midnight. If you are going to close down your front desk at 9:00 pm I would suggest posting a sign about quiet time. Sound travels in the property.

The staff at the Larix are so friendly, down to earth, and very helpful. They really make you feel like family there. The hotel was warm and inviting. Beautifully furnished and decorated. So many surprise amenities like freshly baked cookies, complimentary drinks, s’mores and hot chocolate by the campfire, and of course, the relaxing barrel sauna. My family and I had such a wonderful stay. We want to come back again and again simply for the great vibe the Larix offers and to experience more of Kimberly.

We’ve stayed at the Larix multiple times and have always enjoyed the decor, ambiance, friendly staff and pet friendliness. The rooms are comfy and clean. (The beds and pillows are a little soft for our liking but you definitely sink into the coziness). The breakfast and amenities are top notch. The location adjacent the Platzl is the best (especially for anyone that grew up in Kimberley ❤️) if you stay here, you’ll love it!

fab hotel! rooms and hotel so clean, staff was amazing. there is a small sauna that can be booked, and you should! so worth it! breakfast is not hot, but has everything you need to fuel you for the day. there are bottles of water, fizzy waters, juice, coffee and tea, and fresh very tasty cookies available 24/7 for guests-free of charge! you don't get much free these days, so that was very appreciated. we will for sure be coming again

11/10 the absolute best option for Cranbrook/Kimberly area. We rented a Tesla over Turo and we we're able to charge it free there so the hotel was extremely perfect and had free travel. ABSOLUTELY would recommend to a friend and will be staying again. Than you guys so much for such a wonderful experience. Great breakfast and the photos speak for themselves:)

Rooms are quite small, smaller than the average the availability of numerous social lounging areas is a plus. The continental breakfast is well above average. The boutique quaint vibe of the place is very comfortable. Being right across the street walking distance from the Platzl is also convenient. I will be staying there again upon my return to the area and would recommend others to check it out.

Incredibly friendly staff at check in. The room itself was awesome. Had a ton of character, but not in a bad way. Really felt comfortable. The bed, as well, incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was a pretty good size. And you're literally a block away from the Platzl. Ample parking beside the hotel if the limited parking spots are all taken. The breakfast was slightly above average as far as continental breakfasts go, with cold and hot items.
