This hotel is situated amidst the picturesque coastal landscape of the Kiel Fjord. Directly on the beach and surrounded by forest and sea, the hotel occupies a quiet location but is also within the immediate vicinity of the city centre, and is therefore the perfect location for both beach holiday and city visitors.

The centre of Kiel, with its attractive shopping and entertainment venues, can easily be reached on foot or with public transport (a stop is located about 100 m from the hotel). There is a traditional bathhouse directly by the hotel as well as a ferry to Kiel's Baltic Sea beaches.

This comfortable, stylish hotel has been built in a modern architectural style and comprises a total of 90 rooms of which 17 are suites spread over six floors. Facilities on offer include a spacious foyer with lifts, a restaurant with non-smoking area, and a hairdressing salon.

Guests can relax in the hotel bar after an eventful day exploring the area. There are parking spaces available for those arriving by car (charges apply).

Beautiful, old-school grand hotel vibes. But in the best of ways. Extensive nautical theme, with great regional history. Large, well-appointed rooms. Water-side rooms on upper levels have a stunning view of the canal. Restaurant was very good. Bar/lounge has booked shows, so check in advance and buy tickets if you're interested. Very reasonable on-site parking, but there was always available street parking as well.

Nice hotel near the Kiel waterfront

Stayed here with my wife for two nights as part of running the Kiel Marathon. Nice hotel with a good pool and sauna and it is easy to get to other locations in Kiel from here.
The front desk staff seemed a little uninterested but otherwise a nice stay

The hotel is excellently positioned for the Fjord of Kiel in a lovely, leafy location. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately on a negative note the carpet in my room was covered with what appeared to be dog hairs, particularly at the side of the bed and the room itself was quite dusty and tired.

A beautiful visit to the 70s

Amazing hotel from the early 70s, really well restored and retro details are kept in nearly perfect condition. It is such a pleasure to see that some hotels still take care of the originals. I was positively surprised Maritim has kept this pearl like it is.
It is a full experiance to stay at the hotel, I highly recommend if you like to go back in time and spend a few days in the 70s. The indoor swimming pool has original wood panelled roof and patterned tiles. The sea view is great. Quiet area with a nice park around. Walk distance to a great bar/beach club on a pier.

The Maritim is my favourite hotel in Kiel because of its location by the waterfront. The view from the rooms with sea view is amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Free parking is available next to the hotel. Check-in and check-out was very straight-forward. The breakfast buffet is generous.

Standard free WiFi is awfully slow, paid one is good but expensive at EUR 5 a day especially charging for WiFi now a days!

The hotel staff was absolutely brilliant; very courteous and extremely helpful. The room was light/ bright and airy with a fabulous view over the Fjord, absolutely stunning.
The hotel is a bit isolated and the bar/ restaurant opposite was not open so a trip into town was the only eating alternative to the hotel. The menu in the hotel restaurant was limited but the dishes available were well thought out and varied; the actual food was of extremely high quality, table staff were friendly and helpful especially as our German was, to say the least, limited.
Only downside, if there is one, was that the room tea/ coffee was not topped up but given the overall service this hotel offered this was a minor issue.
All in all, highly recommended!!!

We enjoyed our 3 Nights at Hotel Maritim

Asked for a top floor, Canal facing room and that is what we got, lovely views. Lovely comfortable beds. Friendly staff esp in the restaurant. Breakfast is 17 Euros and worth it. Opposite the hotel is the Seebar and there you can enjoy a good evening meal and a beer or three. Nice indoor pool.
The hotel is on a hill and could be difficult for anyone with a walking problem. You need a car to get about.

Was an average hotel yet i enjoyed it

Overall my stay was good, the hotel guest services were responsive and supportive, i had few observation on housekeeping as they regularly miss amenities, and they keep used dishes or cups as is without cleaning or replacing after we used it. the area is extremely noisy and full of different types of insects so you cant keep the windows open for ventilation and cooling (no AC). no sun blinds so you'll have to wake up once the sun rises. hotel in a good condition, rooms some are in good condition and newly renovated and some are very old with scratches all over the furniture (like mine, suite 623). the indoor swimming pool was great and well maintained, lobby was in good condition. no staff after 10 pm (only one receptionist). \"Keep in mind you'll have to carry your own luggage in arrival or departure regardless staff are available or not\"

Der er ikke ventilation på værelserne, de ha lukket dørene til balkon, så man kunne ikke lufte ud. Kan ikke anbefales da luften i rummene er meget dårlig. Værelserne trænger tlil renovering, badeværelset er fint, men møbler, tæpper mv trænger til renovering. Da balkon ikke kan anvendes er charmen væk, har boet der mange gange, men standarden er gået meget ned. Alle værelser adgang til balkon er lukkede, dvs. døren kan ikke åbnes , hvad jeg overhørte i receptionen ved andre gæster der overnattede der.

Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt als „in die Jahre gekommen.“ Der Aufenthalt war dennoch sehr schön; saubere Zimmer, nettes Personal und ordentliches Frühstück. Wir würden erneut dort buchen; die Lage ist hervorragend direkt am Wasser.

Breakfast was nice, good variety of both healthy and more traditional hotel breakfast. My kids were a little disappointed with the lack of pancakes (no replenishment)
Pool area is great, and the view from the room overlooking Kiel fjords are impressive

Fint hotell med lange tradisjoner i Kiel

Hotell Maritim ligger flott ved Kieler Förde. Bademulighet fra brygge på nedsiden. Park og gangveier rundt hotellet. Frokostsalen/restauranten ligger fint plassert med utsikt over fjorden.
Bassenget er stort, men har ikke overflyt løsning så det blir mye bølger, selv med 2-3 personer som svømmer.

Very nice stay at the maritim hotel Bellevue.

Great accommodations and nice staff.

The hotel delivers an architectural presence of being in 1990(ish), but it’s actually very cozy. The service is 2025.


The only slight complaint I have, which the hotel should take note of.

It didn’t ruin our stay at all, but please be aware that the mini-bar fridge is being turned of when not used to facilitate a more green approach. However, when a fridge is kept close with moisture inside, it creates mold. We found a little bit in our fridge.

Again it wasn’t alarming, and nothing that would keep us from going and using the hotel again.

Frühstück unterer Durchschnitt, teils sehr schwach, der Ausblick auf Förde entschädigt dann aber. Tolle Lage, Preise aber im Vergleich zu Kaufmann, Yacht-Club und Steigenberger nicht akzeptabel. 1x und nie wieder. Zimmer neben Fahrstuhl war Frechheit. Insgesamt alles sehr hellhörig. Anfragen Rezeption für Bademantel und co no go. Als wäre man 2 Sterne Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich, tut einem fast schon leid

Kaos-indtjekning. Vi måtte vente en time på to værelser efter officiel tid for indtjekning. Det var en familieferie, hvor vi havde fem værelser, men de var fordelt på tre etager. Og vi havde nøglekort til de små elevatorer, der kun virkede mellem ens egen etage og stueplan med receptionen. Det var ikke godt nok.

Die Betten waren super, wir haben fantastisch geschlafen. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot eine riesen Auswahl, frische Brötchen, verschiedene Säfte , Kaffeespezialitäten und Süßes und Herzhaftes, was man sich nur vorstellen kann.....
Die Einrichtung ist mittlerweile etwas altmodisch, doch war das Zimmer gemütlich, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Sengene til værelserne var rigtige gode og virkede som om at det var noget man havde skiftet fornyligeligt. Ekstra sengene er dog “bare” weekendsenge med bløde fjedre. Alt andet på værelset kunne godt bruge en opdatering/renovering. Man kan se at hotellet er gammelt, som om det er i en tidslomme, det er på en måde lidt hyggeligt. Men der er flere ting som godt kunne renoveres.
Pool faciliteter er ok, kan godt være den er opvarmet, men det er til den kolde side.
Stor lækker morgenmad’s buffet, der var alt hvad hjertet begærer, også mulighed for at sidde ude på en terrasse, dog var der mange hidsige måger.

Skønt hotel i Kiel

Fint hotel. Værelserne er pæne og rene og sengene meget komfortable. Hotellet er lidt en tidsrejse tilbage til 80’erne, men uden at det går ud over kvaliteten. Vi synes, det var meget hyggeligt 😊 Morgenmaden er også super fin og udsigten over fjorden er det, der gør hele forskellen for os. Skønt.
Det kan lidt være en udfordring at finde et sted at parkere - også selvom man ønsker betalingsplads. Poolen bærer præg af at være ældre, men det var okay.

Dårlig sengekomfort

Hotellet havde ikke sørget for tre senge og kom med en meget lille og dårlig slå ud børneseng på trods af at jeg havde booket til to voksne og et “barn” på 17 år. Sengen var umulig at sove på, en tynd madras på trælameller, kort med jern i begge ender som fødder og hovedet lå op af.
Hotellet kompenserede ved at refundere for morgenmad (280 kr) hvilket var fin service selvom jeg ikke fik min nattesøvn inden vi skulle videre på vores rejse.
Jeg har andre forventninger til et firestjernet hotel og særligt i forhold til tysk standard.

Bästa hotellet på resan enligt barnen!

På bilderna syns att hotellet har en äldre standard - men trots det blev vi väldigt positivt överraskade! Inredningen känns kanske lite \"orginal\" men vårt rum var rent, fräscht, med separat sovrum och vardagsrum, med hörnbalkong med utemöbler och utsikt över vattnet. Grymt! Det blev lite varmt på natten (mitten av juli) vilket en fläkt hade kunnat råda bot på, så det var det enda jag saknade. Poolen var stor och jättefin! Ungarna älskade den och vi vuxna också. Enkel gest att det fanns två små påsar med Haribo-godis till barnen när vi kom rummet - snyggt!

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes, wunderschön gelegenes Hotel, freundliches Personal, manchmal etwas unbeholfen. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten, bequeme Betten.
Ich habe am Vormittag eingecheckt, als ich am Nachmittag mein Zimmer beziehen wollte, müsste ich erneut einchecken, da nichts hinterlegt war.
Bei Zeitdruck eher schwierig.
Man sollte Auszubildende eventuell in solchen Fällen mehr unterstützen, um derartige Unannehmlichkeiten zu vermeiden.
