The property is in an ideal location for visiting Akihabara. As well as having plenty of smalller off the main path restaurants nearby, you'll never run out of places to visit and eat at. The Lawson being basically next door is also super convenient. Definitely would recommend to everyone visting Japan and looking to stay near Akihabara.

The nonsmoking room smelt badly of cigarettes when we first checked in, and a damp smell permeated throughout our stay. There was an obvious water leak issue in the bathroom somewhere with stagnant water producing odours. The room itself had a small patch of mould in the corner. If was otherwise in a decent area with good food options and quick access to the tech district.

Subway is a 5 min walk and train about a 10 min walk. Small room with little storage space, but this is typical is Tokyo.

The hotel is close walk to two train / subway stations and a quick walk to Akihabara. The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff is friendly (they also speak English). There are many food options available within a 1 or 2 minute walk. Two convenience stores and a grocery store are also close by.

Location: The hotel is a walking distance to Akihabara and Suehirocho stations. It is also a walking distance to Owl Cafe, Fukurou, Wangyu Yakinku Panga, and Sultan restaurants. It has a 24-hr Lawson mart nearby as well, and is well surrounded by drinks vendor machines around it.

Hotel: The room is clean, free toiletries to take near the lift and the staffs there are very friendly. Check-in and check-out were smooth as well. The toilet seat has bidet, bathtub and shower as well. At the lift lobby, free hot drinks, ice and water which you can dispense. There is also 1 drink vendor machine near the lift. Their Wi-fi is stable too! So much love for this hotel. Will definitely choose this hotel again if I'm visiting Japan again.

They allowed us to check in early. Fresh sheets/towels everyday. And very near 2 major stations (Ueno and Akihabara). Convenient and comfy. The hubby also loved that it's near the shops in Akihabara. He can go out and explore anytime he likes.

It's about a 10-15 min walk from the closest JR station or Subway, so if you have big heavy cases it might be difficult to get too. The rooms are small but very clean. For the price it's a great place to stay and a good hub to explore Tokyo.

Good hotel, with a lovely owner

I had 16 clients stay here plus myself, the front desk was a little overwhelmed, but they did a great shop working through it. It's a small hotel, but clean and comfortable. The WiFi is strong and nearby are parking places( udx parking) for big vans. (6 minutes walk with a maximum price of 2000 yen on weekdays and 3000 yen on the weekends) The beds are comfortable band you'll have a big TV. The owner (a sweet older lady) didn't protest and helped canceling some reservations from 4 nights to 2 nights, because all rooms were non smoking and some clients needed their nicotine fix. I contacted hotels.com, told them about my predicament and they called the hotel and cancelled the rooms. Big thumbs up for both hotels.com and the hotel. The only minus I see is that the hotel is located on a street which was in the opposite direction of all the places I had to drive to, Tokyo station, shibuya, Shinjuku and roppongi, which meant that I had to enter a narrow street and cross a busy street to get into the opposite lane.

This hotel is perfect for foreigners or people who don’t speak Japanese since it is an American Hotel. The staff speaks decent English and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. This hotel is about a ten minute walk away from Akihabara.

A rather spacious room size by Japanese standard,esp the huge bathroom. My reason for choosing is coz I’ve a phobia of old hotels n this hotel is newly opened so everything is new. A short flat-surfaced walk 7min walk from the train station, I had no problem taking the train from Haneda to my hotel doorstep middle of night with 2 large luggage! Lots of decent cheap breakfast around the hotel. Just a 8min walk away from Ueno market I love this place. Quiet area nearest to hotel yet a bustling Ueno minutes away. Me and my elderly mum were placed in the second floor and nearest to the lift but trust me we couldn’t hear anything/anyone the entire 7 nights and some days when my mum decides to rest longer n earlier in hotel due to the cold winter. They have a humidifier in the room which is a nice touch as we aren’t use to the dry winter. I’ll definitely b back again when I’m here with my kids next.

Close to 2 train stations. Lots of shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Took taxi from train station when we first arrived. Driver couldn't find place. Seems to be a common problem in Tokyo. Easy to get to once you have been there. There was some dirt on toilet seat and strength of shower for toilet was not strong enough. It was supposed to be adjustable but even at highest was not strong

The hotel is located in good location but a little bit far from train/subway station about 5-10 mins walk. The staffs are very nice and well prepared during the night of Hagibis typhoon. There's a Lawson minimart next to the hotel . The room is standard clean. The bed is good. Overall this is a nice hotel , good value , suitable for people who enjoy akihabara or ueno area

This was my second stay and I would for sure stay again. Clean with a friendly English speaking staff which I was thankful for. Convenient location between Akihabara and Okachimachi stations which helped me make the most of my JR rail pass. I was able to easily add and extra day to my stay. Great hotel!

We live in America and was going to Tokyo Japan... and because of the time/date difference we accidently booked this place on the WRONG date. It was purely an accident and we discovered this like 10 minutes after we accidently missed the date for the reservation. We booked it in American time/day and therefore we would not be able to use this hotel for that night. So we called to get help about this right away from both the local hotel and the hotels.com. This hotel refused to give us our money back OR let us book it to the day after. It was purely by mistake and this hotel was very rigid and unfriendly. I think the service in this hotel for the customers/guest SUCK!

The location was near enough to 3 different train stations, so we had our pick when going to different destinations around Tokyo. Rooms were quite small, but the beds and pillows were comfortable and the service was very good. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel on the day of checkout before we had to fly out.

I'm a travel agent and wanted to try a Best Western property overseas to see what's it was like in case I wanted to recommend it to clients. When we first opened the door it was quite small. I was in Akihabara last year at the Remm and I thought that was small but the huge window and glass wall for the bathroom made it feel so much bigger. However, at the Best Western we had a very small window that was off in the corner. We had to keep the curtains closed most days as we faced a work building so it felt very dark and dingy. We did not enjoy actually being in the room; there is no closet, just a bar with a few hangers near the door. There is a mini fridge but it had no depth so don't buy anything too bulky.

The bathroom felt like a cruise ship bathroom, definitely not big enough for two people to stand in it. Also the sink in the bathroom was not draining properly. The hotel is still fairly new so it was clean. The other thing we did not like was the location. The description says it's close to a station but not as close as we would've liked. We were there 9 days so after the first 4 days we adjusted but I would not stay here again.

If you are looking for a good mix of Western and Japanese styles for a hotel this is great one to stay at. The whole place is very contemporary with great amenities. It also has the intimacy and world renowned hospitality that Japan is known for. The area is great and has a lot to see. It also is conveniently located to both local metro and JR rail lines.

Personal Vacation, last stop Tokyo. Front Desk redemption was excellent. Most spoke English well and if not we figured it out! Personable friendly. It is a queen room but small. Like most hotels in Japan it had a pod style washroom. That said, it was very comfortable and friendly, fair price, and good location with most stations 10-15 min walk. I would stay here again!

I personally really liked this hotel. It was in a great location, the staff was always super friendly, they did room service every day, they had channels that you didn’t have to pay for on the tv (yes some hotels you have to pay for ANY TV) , the room was small, but not too small ... more like a cozy small. The room was also light and bring with mine having three windows and a nice view of the city. I had an amazing time in Tokyo and this Best Western gets 10 stars from me!! 😁😁

Room was new and very clean. Staff spoke English and were very helpful and friendly. Location was great, 7 minute walk from Okachimatchi station or 9 minutes to Akihabara station which allowed me to make the most of my JR rail pass and easily get anywhere in or outside of the city. Convenience store is only a few steps away and many dining options nearby. The room was small but in Tokyo that is to be expected. Still had some nice amenities like a refrigerator. I’m not sure you can beat the value per dollar here. Would definitely stay again!

I was pleasantly surprised. Typically, a best western is an affordable hotel option, meaning that you will likely sacrifice quality. Not here. The service was wonderful. We slept in one morning and took our time leaving the hotel. So we decided we wouldn’t have maid service. When we came back, they left bags in our door with new towels, toothbrushes and robes. I’ve never had that before and was pretty blown away. The room was very cozy, but just fine for two people. The bed was comfortable. We loved the iPad in the room which provided suggestions and tips for things to do, see and where to eat in the area. The location was spot on. Within a few minutes, we were right in the heart of Akihabara and near many subway/metro lines. We truly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

It was a standard Japanese hotel stay (tiny room, clean), staff English was limited but availability was very good. Our AC wasn't working but the control hub's language was Japanese. The staff struggled to turn on the AC and change the language to English. The location was nice - close to Akihabara (~10min walk) and JR station (~6min walk) but without the noise.

This is a great brand new hotel. Location is AWESOME in Ueno district and it is very close to JR and metro lines. The bed was very comfortable. Considering most Japanese hotel rooms are tight in space, I was able to open up my suitcase and have it lay there for the rest of my stay without any issues. Every afternoon I would come back with a fresh robe, towel, and some toiletries in a bag, hung on my door. I didn't need it but it was a really sweet touch. I LOVED the toiletries and the big soaker tub. Everything was so clean and new. Highly recommend this for solo or couples travelling in Tokyo for their first time.

I booked 2 rooms with almost Y15,000 a night and the hotel still charged me for 1 hour late check out for a room that I could have avoided if I was warned. And charged for calling a taxi even I was a guest. Be careful with charges without warning. Besides booking a twin with a guest and 2 guests are different bit like other countries hotels.

Hotel is close to subway station and stores. Our room was clean and they would come in everyday to do room service such as making the bed, throwing out the garbage and providing new bathrobes and slippers. Place was quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had was the fridge was really small, we can only fit 2 waterbottles (2L) and pudding.

Overall, good place to stay while in Japan.

You'll need to go to a 5-star hotel for an international room. We rebooked this hotel on our way back from Kyoto but our group decided to go to a different city intead. I was just passing through Tokyo on my way to my next Japan destination and Hotel Fino was a good choice for a one-night stay. Although it did seem out of the way and a 10 minute walk from Akihabara train station, I was pleasantly surprised by how new and modern the hotel was considering the economical price. Front-desk staff was amiable and quickly checked me into the hotel. I was able to have them hold my luggage prior to check-in so that was a big plus. Upon entering the room I was very pleased as to how clean and spotless it was. The bed was very comfortable and it seemed quiet. I did notice the TV channels were limited to just one English station, CNN, so I left the TV off. Overall I would recommended this hotel to business travelers and anyone who would like to sacrifice location for economy and cleanliness. A special thank you to Ms. Yoshida for her help with holding my luggage and helping me get a taxi to Tokyo station upon checking-out.
