We could not have asked for more. Such a beautiful property with spacious and clean rooms! Definitely one of the nicest places we have ever stayed with our family. Boys loved the water park, the pools, the hot tubs, the grounds, and the food at the restaurants, especially Ballyhoo, was delicious!

Beautiful resort! Exceeded our expectations. The only negative I would say is be prepared to spend about $25 per person per meal. That’s for a casual meal. (Burger and drink. Coffee and beer pastry)
Other than that, it was beautiful and the staff was amazing.

La experiencia para mi familia estuvo espectacular. La habitacion, la vista, las facilidades, las piscinas, el ride para palomino, la atención del personal todo excelente. Lo único que estaría mencionando es que la habitacion cuando me la entregaron, al entrar, tenia un olor espantoso, no dije nada en el momento ya que solo mi estadía fue de 1 noche. Además le doy 1 estrella al restaurante Ventana. A pesar que tienen opción de buffet, opte por coger a la carta, ya que no como mucho, pero el plato que pedí no estuvo nada bien, el avocado toast al que le añadí huevos, vino con un avocado mash color negro y 1 solo huevito sunny Side up completamente crudo. El precio no lo vale, overpriced!! Por otra parte el mesero fue empatico y comprensivo! Me retiró el plato de la mesa, el me ofreció otro plato y el buffet pero no lo acepté, se me quito por completo el apetito. Creo que deben evaluar la calidad y el precio que allí ofrecen. El hotel 5 estrellas, pero la comida en ese particular debe mejorar!!! Gracias.

The bathtub is \"sunken\" beneath the floor almost 12\", if you do not pay attention, you could easily fall face first into the shower/bathtub. Other than that, the place was safe, clean and we really liked it.

We had a wonderful time at El Conquistador. The pools were not overly busy, the restaurants were good, and we enjoyed the boat ride to the island and our time at the island. There was minimal construction noise, which did not affect our overall experience. The resort is a historic property so not everything is brand new and modern, which I think is important to know ahead of time. We used self-park, which was a bit confusing at first, but there was plenty of spots and it was convenient for our trip.

We ended up having to last minute change from our VRBO on isla verde beach due to the water rationing situation. We ended up at this place and it was fantastic. The beach is a ferry ride out to Palomino island and the water was crystal clear . The kids got snorkeling equipment ( bring your own as it was 30 dollars each to rent ) but got to see so many cool things . For a resort prices were not bad and there was entertainment nightly as well as multiple pools. The only thing is that they are renovating the resort so the rooms are older but totally fine and we had ocean view with gorgeous scenery. Would go back in a heartbeat. The staff were so nice . We also had a car and went out to dinner at local restaurants so would say we got a cultural experience. We booked excursions as well including seeing luquillo beach and the kiosks , a snorkeling adventure to icacos island and el yunque. This was easy to get to all those places from Fajardo and the resort.

I absolutely loved this resort. I went with my kids it was very safe. They had many activities to keep everyone entertained. The only down side was the restaurants. The plates were $30-$45 each and I didnt find it worth the money. We honestly are pizza almost every night (not ideal for visiting puerto rico). Everything else was GREAT! I would return for sure.

During my trip to Puerto Rico, I stayed at three different hotels, and this one was by far the nicest. The view from my room was incredible, and the pool was definitely the highlight of the property. The food was also delicious and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that getting to the beach was a bit inconvenient, as it required taking a ferry. Overall, though, it was a great experience and I would recommend it.

Property was beautiful. Not all-inclusive; however, the food was delicious. Our room was a hike from the hotel lobby, but it was close to the water park and a small coffee shop, which was perfect in the morning and for quick snacks. We also had a lovely balcony with ocean views. Not the resort’s fault but there was a lot of sargassum so the water wasn’t the clear blue we hoped to see. But, now I know that’s common for the time of year we traveled. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall, 9/10.

Beautiful property- 2 suggestions- more sit down breakfast options- didn’t open till 11 am. Only 1/3 hot tubs fully working. Pools amazing, water park - very fun ( can not bring drinks or food in, but you can buy food and drinks inside water park). Did not visit spa, private island was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

0/10 would never stay here again or recommend to anyone, actually will go out of my way to make sure people know not to go to El Conquistador. Customer service and privacy are not big here, I was expecting the stay to match the rates charged here and was disappointed on almost every occasion. First we were put into a room with ants all over inside on arrival and we had to wash our clothes to get them off our clothes and then had to wait almost 6 days to be switched into another room. That room had a door that was so warped when the wind blew it sounded like being trapped in a wind tunnel. Stains in carpet, weird condensation forming inside room and dropping on floor and the unlucky passer. Also in said room a very large hard or metal object was under the carpet at end of the bed and in the middle of the night I hurt my foot on it. Pool chairs are always full of bird poop. DONT EAT AT THE RESTAURANTS, BIG WASTE OF MONEY! Valet is a complete waste of time as they always take 15-20 minutes to get your vehicle l, and they constantly move the seat and change radio stations. Phone systems are a joke and you can only call to front desk or operator. But to top it all off we always kept the privacy sign on our door because of valuables and just put trash out as needed and ask for new towels as needed, well a housekeeper came into our room with the sign on the door and \"serviced our room\". This was a giant invasion of privacy and at the end of all these issues I was offered only to h

After traveling 12 hours with 2 small children we finally arrived at the resort. Self parking was extremely confusing with minimal signs which was time consuming & frustrating. Got lost several times with the map/directions provided to get to our room in the marina area. Finally got to our room only to discover our door would not open/close/ lock properly. We then had to travel all the way back to the front desk to be switch to a new/similar room. We check into the second room which was not comparable to the first, completely dissatisfied. At this point we leave are luggage and go back to the front desk for a third time. We are again changed to a new room and advised our luggage would be brought over to the new room as we can’t get back in once they change the key to the new room. We get to the room about 45 mins later and no luggage. To top it off no hot water almost 2 straight days. Staff was pleasant and location is beautiful, other than that very pricey and dissatisfied with

Ferry took too long to get to Palomino Island. Too long of a wait. First ferry was full so we had to wait for the second one. We were early on line, not late.
Bathroom shower missing half of glass enclosure so floor got very wet. A curtain or second part of glass pane needs to be installed. Floor tile was somewhat damaged as this looks like it was ongoing. Beautiful hotel. Palomino Island was beautiful. Staff could use a bit more training as to greet guests and be more attentive. Desk and concierge services were good. Parking attendants could do better, one in particular, at the entrance,looked like we woke him up.

We arrived and it was beautiful, breathtaking. The customer service is amazing. The hotel is stunning and full of things to do. Our room was nice longer in the evening. The room air conditioner did work properly in our bedroom area. Also, a couple roaches were on the room. So, birthday visit turned out ok.

The hotel is beautiful. Very big and has everything you need for comfortable vacation. Rooms are not spotless but not too bad. One problem was they didn’t have hot water in the shower. Out of 6 days we had only 2 days of hot water. Pools are very nice. Parking is easy. Staff is helpful. I wish there was a beach right by the hotel instead of fairy taking you to the island. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Todo muy bonito, pero necesitan tener ms cuidado con la limpieza de los cuartos, las sabanas estaban manchadas con sangre, en el balcon estaba una comida caida al parecer de los antiguos huéspedes y como nadie limpio estaba lleno de hormigas. El valet parking los dias que estuvimos allí, nadie contesta el teléfono para cuando uno quiere pedir el carro antes de salir.

I liked everything about the hotel except the parking. The first day I used valet parking my car was damaged. I used self parking after that but on the last morning there when I came back from breakfast around 8 am, I waited 30 minutes for the golf kart to pick us up from self parking.

We had a very nice Spring Break stay at El Conquistador. The property sits in a spectacular location with beautiful ocean views and access to a private island beach that was one of the highlights of our trip.

The resort shows some of its age in places, especially for those who remember it from its Waldorf Astoria days. Everything was clean and comfortable, though some areas could benefit from updating, and a few amenities were unavailable during our visit. The staff was friendly, and we had an outstanding meal at the Puerto Rican restaurant—easily one of the best experiences on the property.

Families will likely have a great time here, especially with the pools, beach, and activities. Just be prepared for some lines when taking the boat to the island beach and for a fair amount of walking or riding between different sections of the resort.

One pleasant surprise was the golf course. I’m not a golfer, but even I could tell it looked spectacular. The setting alone makes me want to come back and give it a try someday.

Overall, El Conquistador is a very good family resort in a beautiful setting. It may not feel quite as polished as it once did, but it still offers a memorable Puerto Rico vacation experience.

This is a place where you can truly relax and enjoy yourself without ever needing to leave the resort. It offers just about everything you could possibly want to do. The only downside for me was that I would have loved to do some shopping, but while the boutiques were beautiful, the prices were higher than I was willing to spend. Other than that, I don’t have a single complaint. It was an amazing experience.

Check-in was horrible! They were pulling people out line behind me for check-in. When I finally got to check-in, I had 2 rooms in my name and they wouldn't give us rooms next to each other. Both room were at the marina but far away from each other. The sliding glass door to the balcony was broke and wouldn't open (room 1422) and I called for 3 days to get it fixed and when we checked out, it was still broken. I felt like they already got our money so we didn't need any services or repairs.

The water park was outstanding. Great for the kids. palomino Island was a little bit of a let down, but was more because the wind was strong that day and affected the snorkeling. Be careful because if you aren’t in line early enough for the ferry you might miss it. Great restaurants on site. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Lots to do.

This was my first time in PR and it was incredible. The photos here do not do justice. It’s so huge and incredible. The views, the waterpark, the boat to Palomino Island…. It’s all so amazing. Food and hospitality are also top notch. I’m pretty picky and I’d say this place is one of the best places I’ve stayed. My daughter loved this place too! I would consider doing our anniversary here.

It’s a great resort just come ready to SPEND. The restaurants outside of the resort were GREAT!!! Great authentic puerto rican at a fraction of the cost. An uber cost max. Of $12 to any restaurant.
Palomino beach was great with food and drinks available.

Overall the hotel was great. If you want a book to read, make sure you bring one. They don’t sell books on site. The majority of the food at the Italian restaurant was almost too salty to eat. Love the BBQ chicken pizza at the bar. Loved the private island. Went there 3 times.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this resort. From the beautiful rooms to the incredible 24-hour service, everything exceeded our expectations. My kids had the best time with endless entertainment and activities throughout the resort, and the staff made us feel welcomed every single day with their outstanding service and energy. The resort was spotless, the food was top-notch, and the private island was absolutely breathtaking.
