We found everything at this hotel to be wonderful but I would really like to highlight the staff. They were all exceptional.
Room was spotless, and having a kitchen was super convenient. My only suggestion is to extend check-out to at least to 11:00am. Other than that this is a great place for a vacation.

I’ve stayed multiple times on this property Wyndham golf resort this was my first time in the margaritaville vacation club I was disappointment with the room had no view at all no pool no beach no forest just walls could not enjoy sitting a the balcony there was nothing to look at and my nightly entertainment the casino was closed should be disclosed when booking I prefer Wyndham golf resort

The place was beautiful great property they take good care of it . The beach acess is nice umbrellas and loungers are nice and relaxing. Showers to get the sand off the pool was warm and inviting with a swim up bar was very cool the bar offers may drink options and food options gives the place a one stop shop can have breakfast lunch and dinner with the many options they have . The staff was great . If i have one complaint is the bed was pretty firm will need extra pillows. The whole experience was nice it was a great get away.

Margaritaville is a GREAT resort. I would totally stay there again, however, I was not aware it was a TIME SHARE property. If I had know that, I would not have stayed.
Even though the \"90 minute\" presentation was 3 1/2 hours long, the staff and crew presenting were not pushy at all and were very friendly.

We expected more from Margaritaville based on experiences at other venues. One of the biggest turn offs was the music. What we heard was old school disco with a loud base beat - enough to sit as far away from the DJ as possible. At 5 o'clock somewhere - why not play Margaritaville/Jimmy Buffet Music and promote a $5 margarita happy hour. A Caribbean dance party with salsa sounds would have been an added plus.
About the room - we had to request a repair of the safe, the door to the bathroom and the sliding door to the deck. These things should be inspected and repaired as needed after each guest.

It was a beautiful resort with all the amenities. The pools, resort and beach are amazing. The only downfall is that it seemed like most of the faucets in the bathroom were broke/not working. These are minor and I am sure they will be fixed, but just something we noticed.

The only other downfall is that everything was so expensive, from food to items in the store. Two of the nice restaurants always seemed booked with reservations and the buffet which was not very busy, was very expensive with not the best food options. Overall we would recommend this resort, but encourage to venture off the resort for some of the meals.

I enjoyed my stay here. There is a beach behind the resort, that was pretty cool. But beware, there were beer bottles and a piece of glass in the sand. The restaurants that offered lunch/ dinner were very good but it was a lack of food options on the resort. The breakfast buffet is a little expensive in my opinion, it was $30 per person and the quality was okay. Around the area of the property isn’t much fine dining, you would have to travel to san juan for that type of experience. Overall it was a good experience

We loved that not only are you right on the beach, but the hotel has 3 separate pools! A large family pool, a quiet adult pool and a swim up bar pool. The staff are amazing, friendly and will let you know the best times to get the best food. There wasn't anything we didn't like about Margaritaville!

What I did not like was the sales agent assigned to do our presentation told us we need to shake hands more, when we explained that’s not good during a pandemic he repLied then you should have stayed home. By the way we are a doctor and a nurse and did not appreciate his uneducated statement. But he insisted we should be shaking hands because it’s more personal.

I liked that groundskeepers do a great job in general, but their elevator from the garage was down several times during my stay, causing significant Significant inconvenience at times. Also there were water service interruptions reported as well. Overall as a repeat customer, I would still return, as I love the location and options for food, entertainment, and excursions nearby.

The property was amazing . Only con was that the floors stayed wet all the time. Idk if it was because of me leaving the air to 80 degrees or what, but the floors were constantly sweating and wet. No free breakfast which would’ve been a plus. Other than that, the stay was great and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The pools, all 3 of them were amazing and so was the pool bar. I didn’t wanna leave at all . Would definitely stay again!

Loved it here. When you arrive there’s two parrots by the entrance. Your room has a margarita maker. You have to wear a mandatory blue wristband. Also the key to you room is a green band instead of a key card. My room was really nice and clean. Everyone was great and the casino was cool.

The property is beautiful! That’s the only positive thing I can say. Everything and I mean everything is outrageously overpriced. From $23 bland wings, to the worst nachos in the world (($20)! The empanadas were tiny, dinner was bland. Just awful food. Thx to Covid everything shuts down at 8 and you’re so far from town there’s nothing to do, not even lay by the pool as that closes at 8 too. No hot tub access whatsoever. You must make pool reservations in 2 hour blocks and the beach closes at 4 so the turtles can nest. It’s sad I paid $800 for 2 nights and got this... snd on my bday mind you... live n learn but don’t come here!!!

Reservations required for everything...restaurants and even to go to the pool. I understand with covid protocals they may be some restrictions, but it was ridiculous! The worst part was that when you called to make reservations for dinner, no one would answer. The first day we tried to call all restaurants onsite and no one answer. They also have a central extention you can call to get reservations though, again no answer. They give you the option of leaving your number and they will call you back to help you. We never received a call back.. After that experience we gave up on eating onsite and ate \"off campus\" the rest of the trip. Plan on being approached by someone trying to push a timeshare meeting on you. There is also an adjoining hotel and we were not allowed to swim in the bigger pool. It made me feel 2nd class, even though we paid over $1000 for 3 day stay, plus $15 per day for parking

Things You Should Know

We had a really nice time. But there were some things that were a little unexpected & you don't know until you are there...they make it very uncomfortable for you to want to take your own bags(right now during Covid, I thought that was strange), you pretty much have to use the bell service. No carts are available to you and you can't park in front of the hotel.
To be expected, as a Wyndham property, they're trying to sell you a time share immediately after you check in.
Advertised as 24 front desk, but they are not. Everything is done via texting if you need something. Calling took me 3 days to get towels. I even asked a cleaning girl who was right outside my door to switch towels, she checked her chart, & said I would need to call for towels, then she could \"release them\".
Service is GREAT & friendly when you can FIND someone. No one is ever at the front desk...not even to check out. They are there at check in, but then you can't get anywhere near the front desk.
If you would like to have dinner at the property, you MUST do it at least 1 day in advance. NOT the same day, it's not available-EVER.
The pool, you need to make a reservation for pool time & you can only go in 2 hour increments.
The casino, we couldn't get in, 1 week & unless you want a slot machine-we couldn't get a seat at a table. AND you are NOT permitted to watch.
Parking garage is by the use of 1 elevator. No steps & you can't do ANYTHING to make it go faster or open the doors.
It is a beautiful property!

We celebrated our honeymoon here and it was just amazing the views are beautiful. The property is very well kept, the only thing that we didn’t like was that we had to wear these teal bands our whole entire stay for COVID purposes which we got a horrible sun tan on our arm for it but other than that it was just amazing. Also, another thing we were like ugh that kinda was annoying we wanted to pay cash and we couldn’t on the property it was only credit card or charge the room, we had a substantial amount from the wedding so it was kind of annoying. Other than that overall 10/10 room was so big and we had an amazing view of the ocean. Super relaxing and customer service superb! Btw Angelo is the best concierge he helped us tremendously with getting to places and just knowing local spots on the island we highly recommend him!
Just as a heads up there’s no valet due to COVID so you have to self park and the elevator doesn’t work sometimes and you have to walk a whole lot or ask the security to come and pick you up or in our case walk lol! It wasn’t bad but kind of inconvenient when you want to get to your room from a long day out all day and you have to go through a maze just to get to it. This hotel is worth all the struggle because it was up to par we loved it!

Hotel and the grounds were very clean. The staff were extremely helpful. Due to COVID-19 we were limited on access to the entire resort area and only two restaurants were open. The resort area was without power for a partial day while we were there so that made for some challenging times. The staff did an excellent job of keeping everything clean. We hope to return when restrictions are lifted.

Fun week @ Margaritaville

Four neighbor couples traveled together for this trip; each couple had their own room.

We stayed on the resort most of the time; there are multiple unique restaurant choices and bars.

I thought it might be louder / stronger party atmosphere but during our mid-February stay this wasn't the case.

The location is nice with a wide Beach extending far in either direction. We took a cab to a local restaurant & bar strip for dinner one night. We also did a power catamaran trip from the East end of the island out to Culebra. Flamenco Beach was amazing, as was the nearby snorkeling.

I only had one negative; one morning I asked the consierge to call down to the driving range to verify operations. She said not necessary, just go down to entry and ask for a ride to range. They drove us there and turned out it was closed due to rain the previous nite. So we had to walk back...thru the lovely complex on a beautiful morning...turned that lemon into lemonade!

Spacious 1bedroom suite. All drawers are soft-close. Walk in shower. 2 closets. Well equipped kitchen. The decor is lovely.
Complementary laundry room was very clean. It was great to have access to the dryers.
Convenient beach access with chaises and umbrella. I would stay here again.

Margaritaville had beautiful grounds, and they kept it very clean. Unfortunately, all that is offered is not available, such as the daily activities, the pool slide, and some of the restaurants. They do provide you with a SUPER FUN concoction maker and the 1 bedroom apartments are very nice. My favorite part of the resort was the room and the one night we got to spend in the pool. My least favorite is the way they harass you as soon as you get there for close to an hour about their buy-in program and how you are pressured into sitting through the presentation. It actually took us to get extra firm with them after they sent the THIRD person in to pressure us to buy. Then they became less interested in being hospitable. Quite a pity. Overall, it’s a nice place...but we will not be back. There is not enough customer service.

Service was the major negative outlier to this property. At first, they force you into a sales pitch for a timeshare and no matter how hard you try to get out of it they wrap you into it. Further, bartenders were pushy - we had two rounds at the bar and were about to leave for the day when the bartender just handed my travel partner a drink and then charged him for it once he drank it, despite him not ordering the drink. Separate incident, after clearly requesting a normal cup TWICE for the same drink (instead of an $18 blender cup) the bartender ignored my clear requests and poured my drink into the expensive blender cup, then charged me for it [he corrected it only after i insisted he fix his error]. Otherwise, the resort was very nice, clean, and kept up well.

Margaritaville was great except for the alcohol and their attempt to get you to buy a time share. Beach is nice and the hotel provides umbrellas, the pool is great but it can be loud with the amount of music they have going at any one time, which can be really annoying since there is only one “quiet” pool area.

Fun in the Sun in February !

Resort is to die for...why go to Hawaii when you have such a beautiful place so close! Beach and pools right there. The Quiet Pool with lap lanes for adults was just so perfect for us, and the water temp was perfect. The iguana running thru the pool area had everyone excited and full of wonder. The Tiki Bars with the live music at night and fire pits and super hot hot tubs made it all so perfect. our room had a great location and even though not ocean front it had a perfect view of the ocean on a the quiet side of the building. Perfect weather 80 degrees every day. Close to the rain forest for a great day trip. Grocery markets nearby. Close to east coast for a very fun, lunch and free drinks, catamaran island trip with snorkling where we saw angel fish and sea anemone. Can't wait to go back to Puerto Rico!
