Liked this hotel a lot. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the countryside so you need a car - though you’d probably want one for Guadeloupe anyway, so not a big issue. The hotel Restaraunt was very good, but if you want something lighter, the bar served tapas style meals. The pool has a limited number of sun loungers which did get booked up.

The hotel was a in quiet location. The restaurant being fully booked each night was questionable as tables were seen to be empty each night.
The drinks from the tipsy bar were good, although the service was very slow. Relaxing vibes and the reception staff were very helpful.

Lovely hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Staff is very kind and helpful. Shout out to Restaurant manager Anthony and Tom and the rest of the staff. One of the front desk staff was help us to book the island tour. We don’t speak French. It’s a bit difficult to book anything on line

This hotel is lovely. The staff is so warm and welcoming considering l’m a novice when it comes to the French Language.
I had one of the best meals on my trip here. The breakfast is amazing. I took one star off for the distance from the city/town center. Area around the property is great and there are 2 beaches that are walkable and safe.
If you are looking for a few days of R and R this place is for you. Everything you need regarding dining, spa/wellness is on site as well as yoga. This was my first time to Guadeloupe and the staff at this hotel made it a wonderful one.

Delicious local fruits like ananas, sweet passion fruit, pomegranate, kiwi, cantaloupe and the best croissant I have ever had! The mill is really beautiful. We absolutely loved our stay at Le Relais du Moulin. We were very pleased with the condition of both our bungalow and the pool, restaurant and grounds. The staff were amazing - very helpful and kind. They assisted with a medical need and made excellent suggestions to help us decide what to do. The bartender concocted some fabulous \"mocktails\" for me and the wonderful chef made me a special vegetarian plate each nice. We loved the food so much that we had no interest in going to any other restaurant and just came back to the hotel every day for a special meal. The vibe was peaceful and laid back. We even took a restorative yoga class!

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Would recommend it to other English-speakers with limited French (though, knowing some French is handy). Close to a good surf spot, just slightly inland from the beaches, in a beautiful location near Saint Anne. The bungalows are simple and nice. King beds are comfortable and the outdoor decks offer a nice place to relax. Pool is lovely and kept very clean. Small gym has workout essentials and a sauna. Restaurant and bar on-site are good, but you won’t find many filling options for vegetarians or vegans. Breakfast buffet is good, worth including in your reservation. The pool area is lovely for a workout or lounging with a gorgeous and delicious cocktail. Staff are exceptionally helpful.

Only downsides? The hotel has a pond on site they haven’t filled with fish—so there are mosquitoes around the hotel. I got bitten a lot, despite not having a problem anywhere else in Guadeloupe. Maids leave doors open while cleaning, so each day I had to fight mosquitoes in my room—until I asked them to keep the door closed while cleaning. Also, if you have a low tolerance or allergy to fragrances/cleaning supplies, call ahead and ask for them to not fragrance your room and use minimal cleaning products. If you have mobility issues or might be at risk of injury if you fell, ask them for a room with a shower instead of the high, slippery tub/shower combinations in the bungalows.

All in all, this is a great hotel and I highly recommend staying there.

3 star hotel fra from beach, horrible restaurant

nearest beach is 10 minutes walk but it is all rocks. Nice beach is 30 minutes walk mostly thru the forest. But it is very shallow. stay away from bungalows 1-7, they face fence and very busy road behind this fence. i submitted request asking for quiet place 3 months prior to my arrival but it was ignored. Stay away from their restaurant for dinner. If you dont speak french expect to to get something out of garbage can. I am not exaggerating. All hotel comments as recent as February promising to improve Mango totally meaningless. I complained to manager for 2 days about my experience at Mango and got nowhere. She basically acknowledged that they had problem at restaurant but still made me pay. Get yourself car and drive to St. Francois. Plenty of good restaurants there. And watch housekeeping, they throw clean towels on a floor before they put it in your bathroom. and it is really 3 star hotel not 4 star.

5 days in paradise

Hotel was in a beautiful garden-like environment. The room was comfortable and we loved the patio. Really enjoyed the Windmill that lit up at night. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Appreciated the patience of the staff when communicating French to English. Most of the staff had excellent English. One of the nicest pool areas we have ever visited!! On-site Restaurant had excellent food with varying menu each day (never boring). Bar staff was attentive and innovative, music on the weekends added to the ambiance. We're really looking forward to our next visit!

Bathroom was small and nowhere for towels, a big climb into the bath/shower, washbasin hard to reach if you are smaller than average! Needs a refurb desperately.
Generally hotel good but breakfast at €20 is excessive. We ate in the hotel one evening (out of 5 nights) as we found different and, for us, better options elsewhere.

Charming hotel in hillside overlooking Ste Anne

We had a lovely stay at le Relais du Moulin. It is a charming boutique hotel in the hillsides overlooking St Anne. The rooms are comfortable, the pool refreshing after a long day. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and interesting. The grounds were lovely and well kept.
My only issue was with the dinner in the hotel restaurant. I was not aware when I booked that the restaurant only offered 2 appetizers, 2 mains and could not accommodate differing dietary needs. I am a vegetarian and although the chef made me a salad for the main course the lettuce with sautéed onions and peppers did not meet my expectations for fine dining

Our trip to Guadeloupe was amazing and it was all thanks to the awesome team at Relais du Moulin. They arranged transport for us from/to the airport, greeted us with fresh juice and cold towels, and even gave us fresh aloe after we got sunburned. Anna at reception is an absolute pleasure to work with!

Deserves it's descriptor 'Hotel de Charme'

Lovely spot with bungalows in beautifully maintained gardens. The junior suite was charming, spacious, with a very comfortable bed in a loft, a living area below and a private, landscaped terrace. Breakfasts were excellent both in variety and quality. The quality of the staff was really outstanding. Competent, friendly and able and willing to think and solve problems. The wait staff had no attitude about our poor French, rather they were encouraging to our efforts and could and would and did speak English if needed or required. The front desk staff were very efficient and helpful with activity and travel activities. Our room had some internet connection issues and these were dealt with promptly and when they recurred they set up an in-room network. All the staff helped make our stay very pleasant indeed. We would go back in a flash.
Highly recommended.

Peaceful oasis, wonderful staff

My husband and I celebrated Christmas and his 50th birthday at this wonderful hotel nestled just outside Ste. Anne, a quiet retreat from the noisier resorts. From there, it was easy to make day trips in our rental car (a necessity) around Grand-Terre and Basse-Terre. The hotel is charming and immaculate, and most of the rooms are quiet bungalows with jungle views. Ste. Anne and Ste. Francois are easy drives for meals, but we spent several meals dining at the hotel's restaurant, Mango. You will need reservations in Dec. for most good restaurants and transportation (including a golf cart or moped if you go to Les Saintes.) We appreciated that we could escape the noise of busier towns after a long day of hiking and snorkeling to relax by the pool bar and have dinner at our hotel, or go into town if we felt up to it. The only down side to our room was that it was a little on the dark side, but I enjoyed sitting on the deck and soaking in the 85 degree weather. Service in the restaurant can be a little inattentive if you do not speak very good French, and you must have reservations, but the staff in the Reception area made up for it with excellent advice about the best places to snorkel and restaurants to try. They speak English, French, and German and were very helpful in assisting us with making reservations when our conversational French was not up to the task. An excellent vacation retreat.

Dinner could be more local foods. The beach for bathers (not surfers) was not accessible easily from the hotel- a car is a must. We found a taxi and used him for the entire stay - Tommy Thima - Represents Guadeloupe first class. love Guadeloupe and will return.

The ambience, food, cleanliness, and overall experience could not have been better. From the moment that we arrived to a glass of fresh chilled mango juice and a cool wet cloth to wipe away the stress of a 12 hour air journey - we knew this was going to be a great experience. All of the hotel employees spoke English very well, were very accommodating, and made great recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The restaurant at the resort was top notch and we not only had a couple of great meals there, but on the last night of our stay when we succumbed to one of the 50 or so pizza joints that we passed on the way to the hotel, they gladly provided us with a bottle of wine to take back to our room to accompany our lesser faire food. We definitely would recommend anyone to stay there.

Bathroom was not very clean. Shower fixture was broken. Hot water lasted about 10-15 minutes. Dining service was disappointing. I was advised the chef could accommodate my dietary needs ( for health reasons ) and that was not done. I ate dinner off-site every night except one. The breakfast was buffet style. The problem was that it was the exact same food very day.

Superbe établissement avec un très bon service de restauration et une magnifique piscine.

Attention cependant les bungalows ne sont pas indviduel mais il y a 2 chambres par bungalows avec une très mauvaise isolation phonique, donc on entends les voisins d'à côté.
La baie vitrée fermait mal, la salle de bain est basique sans plus.
Les chambres mériteraient un petit rafraishisement.

Le personnel de la réception et du restaurant (petit déjeuner et dîner) sont super.

Par contre au bar de la piscine, c'est une autre histoire. Personne ne vient vous voir quand vous vous installez ; obliger d'aller demander les boissons et les snacs. En fin de journée, ils étaient à 4, plus occupé à rigoler et parler entre eux que de s'occuper des clients ; c'est le seul bémole du séjour.

Un immense merci également au service de ménage, irréprochable chaque jour : chambre parfaitement propre, détails soignés, petites attentions très appréciées. On sent vraiment un souci du confort et du bien-être des clients.

Super séjour dans un cadre agréable et relaxant

Nous avons passons un agréable séjour de la première prise de contact jusqu'au check out. Les chambres sont agréables, la literie très correct, le restaurant principal est très bon mais les prix sont un peu élevés. Petit-déjeuner, déjeuner, diner, bar à tapas, du cocktail au dessert tout est satisfaisant. Le jardin paysager est relaxant et la distance entre les différents bungalows évitent d'avoir trop de vis-à-vis. Adult only donc super calme et ce que j'ai trouvé top c'est la présence d'un cabinet d'osthéopathie dans l'enceinte de 'hôtel. Dernier point à noter, la possibilité de recharger le véhicule électrique sur le parking. Seul bémol le terrain de tennis qui était en travaux. En résumé un très bon séjour relaxant et revigorant.

Y aller dans hésitation

Parfait et même encore plus que la dernière fois, les équipements de la salle de sport y ont été revus. Billard toujours à disposition gratuitement.
Il ne manque que le court de tennis à refaire cela serait la cerise sur le gâteau. Pouvoir s'entraîner dans ce cadre sublime serait vraiment un plus.

Fantastique séjour dans une petite oasis a quelques minutes seulement du centre-ville et de la plage. Espace piscine et bar vraiment agréable. Excellent service ! Définitivement une adresse à retenir pour un prochain voyage!

Schönes Hotel mit historischen Ambiente

Die Hotelbungalows sind um eine historische renovierte Mühle herumgebaut. Die Zimmer waren gut eingerichtet, sauber und hübsch, aber nicht allzu groß. Der nächste Kies-Strand ist 10 min zu Fuß entfernt, es gibt aber in der Umgebung wunderbare Sandstrände. Allein deshalb ist hier ein Mietwagen ein Muss. Die Mitarbeitenden des Hotels waren nett, sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr ordentlich und umfangreich. Das Hotelrestaurant war sehr gut, aber auch sehr gehoben im Preis. Leider gibt es in der direkten Umgebung keine Restaurants, so dass wir auch deshalb auf das Auto angewiesen waren.
In der Summe ein gutes Hotel mit schlechten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

L'hôtel a interdit l'accès à la piscine à notre fille qui séjournait chez des amis. C'est la 1ère fois que nous séjournons dans un hôtel qui interdit l'accès. Devant notre surprise l'hôtel nous a alors demandé de payer un supplément de 30 €/jour pour que notre fille puisse s'installer quelques instants avec nous au bord de la piscine. J'ai vu un jeune couple avec un bébé, client de l'hôtel, priés de quitter la piscine.
Il faut impérativement que l'hôtel précise ces règles avant la réservation.
Finalement l'après-midi il n'y avait plus aucun client à la piscine !!

L’endroit est charmant. La végétation superbe, tous les arbres étaient fleuris. Ménage des espaces communs fait tous les jours. Petit déjeuner bien fourni et bon. Le personnel est toujours prêt à nous aider et à répondre à nos demandes

Très bel établissement, très bien tenu avec du personnel très sympathique et d'un très bon niveau pour un hôtel restaurant de cette catégorie. Nous y avons passé au total presque deux semaines et ce fût un régal! Si toutefois je devais émettre un petit point négatif, ce serait sur le service au restaurant. Si la qualité de la restauration est top, et si les serveurs sont très bien et font ce qu'ils peuvent, on regrette l'attente parfois longue entre les plats. A part ça, je recommande chaudement cet endroit

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet établissement. Très bonnes prestations. Le temps d'attente au restaurant est assez long tout de même. Le petit déjeuner en revanche est très bien présenté sous forme de buffet et copieux.
L'hôtel est très propre, la déco superbe.
Bravo aux bar tender pour leur délicieux cocktails !!!
La chambre est spacieuse, la literie de bonne qualité, et une jolie petite terrasse.

Très bel établissement avec du personnel compétent et très agréable. Le cadre est magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec de charmantes terrasses. Très belle piscine. En cette période particulière (COVID 19), l’établissement a mis en place rapidement l’ensemble des réglementations demandées par les autorités françaises tout en faisant le maximum pour rendre la fin du séjour agréable.

Les mélangeurs de la douche et du lavabo étaient peu fonctionnels et nécessitaient de faire couler l'eau longtemps avant d'obtenir de l'eau tiède (sinon glacée ou brûlante) puis il fallait laisser l'eau couler afin de ne pas perdre le bénéfice du mélange.
Pour le dîner, le prix ne correspond ni à la qualité ni à la quantité sinon le petit déjeuner était très bien.
