Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Lobby and restaurant were clean and nice. Breakfast was pretty good. The room itself was clean but a very strange layout with the bathroom sink being outside the bathroom. The lighting and electrics were not normal switches and took some working out. 2 out of the 4 sockets didn't work. Quite often the room smelled of smoke as I think it was coming through the a/c.
The pool area was pretty dirty - the ground and tables never appeared to be cleaned. The pool itself was nice though, and the loungers were comfy. Quite often there was no staff around which made it difficult to order food and drinks. No shower at pool either. Not the hotel's fault but there were a lot of residents hanging about, spitting a lot. Not nice.
Also the bar was only open until 9pm which seems very early. Overall, it was an ok hotel but not great.

Very clean and spatious room in a hotel with a lot of amenities! The staff was really welcoming and helpful! Even though there was a problem with the booking when we arrived, they were very accommodating and managed to solve the problem quickly. We got a free room upgrade but it was on the smoking rooms floor so it smelled in the corridor but fortunately not in our room.

This place was great. Rooms were set up well, clean, maintianed daily and there was a reagaurant and coffee shop on the ground floor. Easy access to multiple ATMs, restaurants etc, all within walking distance, but far enough away to be out of the busy areas.

The pool area was good and was quiet each time we went up. The pool itself would benefit drom being fitered every day.

The staff and especially miss Siteang was extremely friendly and helpfull.
That hotel gives you a home feeling nice interior, beautiful room arrangements and on top a nice swimming pool.
Unfortunately my stay was only two days to visit friends.
Next visit to Phnom Penh will sure at the

This property has a beautiful Cambodian flair. Although most of the staff do not speak much English, they still are very helpful. The café downstairs makes delicious coffee and offers baked goods. There’s a restaurant on site with delicious food. The rooftop pool is wonderful. For being right in the middle of a busy roadway, the hotel is very quiet. It is a couple of kilometers to the Riverwalk, and easy enough to get a tuk tuk ride for $1.25 through the Grab app or Pass app.

Our second time staying there. We love it. Especially the help of Dom. Whatever we needed he made sure we get it.
Checking in the second time was fast but the room wasn’t ready yet, so we had to wait. They said it will be done in 10 minutes. We waited for about 30.
After receiving they key to the room we made our way up, ready to refresh ourselves ( we had a long day traveling from Battambang back to Phnom Penh)
So as we got to our room opened the door and room was a mess. It wasn’t done. March my way back home and to the receptionist. She apologized and got on the walker right away, we said that it was ok, that we’ll grab some food at the restaurant while we wait again. She keep apologizing.
As we sat down eating another person a trainee came to us and gave us our room key.
That was only downfall we had staying there.
As for the food… We’re do I begin. Ughh it was delicious. Dom worked at the restaurant durning the day/ lunch then bar upstairs at the pool. He is such a hardworking guy. Who truly cares for the guest.

The room was a good size and room lightly cleaned and bed made every day. The pool area was a welcome addition although can only accommodate a small amount if guests. The location was fine, reasonably close to several nice rooftop bars for evening entertainment.

At first glimpse the room and service is amazing, especially at the entrance. But you can feel that the hotel has a certain age ( pool and bathroom wasn’t super clean), and in 5 days they never changed our sheets. Plus the laundry service is particularly expensive compare to all the other similar category of hotel in cambodia (pay per items instead of per kg).

The hotel is well kept and definitely up there with services rendered and available. One minus, therefor comfort only 4 stars, was that there was no hot water for the shower, something I pointed out and was not fixed before I left. I must say, the staff was exceptional, even accommodating with my odd check-out and communication was off the chart excellent; it should be standard for any hotel

Awesome hotel !

This hotel is one of my favourite we stayed at. Everything was so clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was awesome ! They were able to awnser all of our questions and they were very kind to us.

The location is also perfect. We found that it was close to everything we wanted to do in Phnom Penh. The pool was also super nice and we had a nice time there.

Beautiful, clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. The pool is off the 8th floor on the roof and is lovely. You can still hear some street noise in the pool because the city can be loud, but with the background music it was fairly serene.

The restaurant was delicious. We dined there for breakfast as well as a few dinners. Good selection of western and authentic Khmer dishes.

We stayed at the G Mekong for 4 nights. The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast was amazing, very fresh and omelettes and noodles also available. We dined at the hotel's restaurant once plus had food at the pool and the food and service was also amazing. The hotel was a short tuktuk ride away from the centre of Pnhom Penh so really convenient for us.

++ sehr schöne Lobby & Restaurant.

+ freundliches & hilfsbereites Personal, die Angestellten geben sich sehr Mühe.

+ Frühstück ist in Ordnung.

+ gute Lage, man ist überall sehr schnell

- - Im Zimmer ist es sehr Laut. Die Klimaanlage hört man auch noch, wenn sie abgeschaltet ist - wahrscheinlich die Belüftung von anderen Räumen. Auch den Ventilator auf der Toilette hört man ständig. Neben dem Zimmer war ein Service-Raum von dem man auch Lärmemissionen hörte. Schallisolation zum Flur ist auch schlecht. Eigentlich hört man überall irgendwelche Geräusche. Selbst mit Ohrenstöpsel war es sehr mühsam zu schlafen. Ich weiss allerdings nicht ob das in jedem Zimmer so ist. Von anderen Zimmern oder Verkehr habe ich nichts gehört - hatte allerdings auch keines zur Strasse.

- Pool-Bereich sieht auf den Fotos besser und schöner aus als er in Wirklichkeit ist.

- überteuertes Essen meiner Meinung nach.

- das Bett war nicht sauber und ich hatte es erst am nächsten Tag gesehen. Hatte lange schwarze Haare drin und ein Fleck. Allerdings kann ich nicht glauben, dass das öfters vorkommt, weil eigentlich ist alles sehr sauber. Nach der Reklamation wurde alles zügig gewechselt und dann war es auch sauber.

Fazit: 5 von 10 Sternen. Wäre das mit dem Lärm im Zimmer nicht, würde ich sagen ist es ein guter Deal in diesem Hotel zu übernachten.

Loved my stay at the G Mekong hotel. Everyone was extremely nice and always willing to assist in anyway possible. It’s walking distance to the Royal Palace, river and orussey market. The area feels safe, but at night, when most business are closed, it’s better to use a tuk tuk. The restaurant and coffee place offer a large variety of options at a very reasonable price.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff!

It was a really lovely hotel and the staff were great. Room facilities worked well for us and good adjustable aircon.

Just be mindful that the bathroom offers very little privacy so might not be ideal for those who aren't super close! Also, being from the UK there wasn't a ton of breakfast stuff that we're used to (definitely our problem, not the hotels!) with lots of curries, rice etc. All looked amazing but not typical European breakfast food for those who may be used to that. Lovely egg making station where they cooked your eggs to order though!

I am very happy with the G Mekong Hotel. I had a flight delay and couldn't arrive on my first booked day. The hotel could not adjust ghe booking, however they did provide airport transfer and a late checkout for me. The staff is fantastic and very kind. Im happy to recommend the G Mekong Hotel in Phnom Penh. Its a great location. I will come back here on my next visit.

Hotel looks recently renovated and clean. Some of the furnishings and fixtures are showing signs of wear and tear and could use some refurbishing, but everything else looks well maintained. Staff reception are very kind and speak fluent English. Housekeeping and restaurant staff struggle with English, but they try their best and are friendly
- Lobby off the main road is current under renovation, so you have to enter at the back and walk through their restaurant to a makeshift reception desk
- I received a coupon to use at the restaurant, but it’s still quite expensive even with the discount for what you get. Not worth it IMO
- Room quite spacious. Bed a bit stiff, but still comfortable
- Good air con to cool the room
- Machines in the gym were okay. A few dumbbells were nice to have
- Pool looks nice and clean, but didn’t use
- Clean kettle with coffee, tea, and water bottles provided. Cups looked a bit dirty though
- Towels and bed sheets in great condition
- Housekeeping tend to forget to replenish some items
- Good and stable WiFi
- Flip-flops provided
- Bedside power ports
