*Lovely views from rooms and common areas. Functional rooms, with small but nice balconies. Comfortable beds.
*Beach area a bit rustic, and could use some repairs to furniture, but I like how it is relatively flat for easy entry to the Dead Sea. There are also several pools.
*Main problem: Extremely loud outdoor music from 8:00 pm-11:00 pm. I understand that some people like having entertainment at night, but does it need to be SO loud? (No, it need not be. But it is.)

I liked the comfort of the bed, size of the room. Balcony with a view of the Dead Sea. Food at breakfast was good. Staff friendly.

Didn't like no loo paper at all in gents loo by the pools on day 2 (limited loo paper in some loos on day 1). Bedside light worked on day 1 then stopped working. No hot water for a shower at about 5:45pm (it did heat up about 45 minutes later but annoying when you expect to shower).

We are a family of 4, booked the executive suite with sea view, highly recommended. The receptionist was very kind to give a late check out until 3pm. The hotel is great, some parts are wear and tear but value for money I’d definitely reccomend. The private beach to the dead sea is awesome.

Overall is good and the place is beautiful .. Pools are disgusting! Breakfast are bad and limited.. I have ordered iron for my room along 2 days and there is no one available!

I think there is no need for dancer.. The noise is irresistible as we are seeking calm stay!

I didn’t stay there because the hotel facilities is not as it shows on the pictures, the room not clean, the lobby without any lights, they have a problem with the electricity, the elevator doesn’t work! They have to solve these issues t be a 4 stars hotel!

Much better than expected

It was pleasure staying at Grand East , staff were very nice and friendly from the guard outdoor , to reception , to spa , to restaurant , also they upgraded us to very nice room with sea view , sea is bit far but it is a nice walk , there are some nice activities at night , breakfast was ok .
They only need to work a bit on common areas maintenance and cleaning , but the room from inside was very clean .
I think for the price this is a very good option .

This hotel destroys the guests with background music - sometimes extremely loud - both in the breakfast/dining room and swimming pool. I come to hotel for rest and not to a discotheque or concert. But this hotel has a Polucy of loud noise and they blame the guest if you complain. So stay out from this place.

Force feeding of loud music

This hotel is force feeding the guests with background music - sometimes extremely loud - both in the breakfast/dining hall and especially at the large swimming pool. I do not like to be force fed music, because I come to your hotel for rest and not to a discotheque or concert. Those ones who want to listen to music, including your staff and guests, can use their earphones or do it in their rooms.

This is a average hotel.
Too many flies all over the place during the day.
Rooms are just ok, but no housekeeping service everyday.
The staff is very good and kind. Definitely the Dead Sea is very close and the best part.

Grand East Experience

My brother and I travelled there to see dead sea and some other historical attractions north of dead sea. We loved it. The hotel needs some cosmetic touch for sure but for our purposes it was perfect and we truly enjoyed it. The internet was slow and unreliable so don’t count on it if you stay there and need solid internet access. Otherwise, for the price, it was an excellent experience.

When we arrived at the hotel, the reception couldn't find our reservation. They asked us to wait in a corner while someone went to search their emails for the reservation (although it had been made weeks in advance). 15 minutes later, the receptionist signaled us to come back to the reception desk but he was still attending a customer. Then someone else came and cut the line to complain about something else. Instead of asking the person to wait for their turn, he started to juggle with the two complainers while we waited for another 15 minutes to be attended. We finally got our room. In the evening we discovered that all the hotel restaurants were closed that day except the food served at the bar. We ordered two starters and two very simple main dishes since that's all their was on the \"menu\". We waited one hour to get our food. After asking several times our waiter were was our food, we finally got noticed by someone else who looked like the manager, and he went to the kitchen and came back saying it was coming. We got a clear feeling that they had just forgotten about our order. Then finally the food arrived, but it was the main dishes, they had skipped the starters. And it was probably the worst hamburger I've had so far in my life. The hotel Dead Sea beach is small and not very clean. The swimming pools are OK and the rooms are also correct. But that is the only positive things I have to say about the hotel, which is sad given the price. Luckily we stayed only one night.

A much maligned hotel on reviews- there is new management. it is not a dry hotel- all the bars have alcohol should you want any. the food is good, the staff a very friendly. rooms clean and comfortable.
not much within walking distance a car or taxi required. A large hotel, but it does well- check in and out quick. no problem with any searches all the hotels here do it - once your checked in there are no other checks.. They have their own small beach and Dead sea mud - plenty of pools to chose from, including separate ones for the children. -

This hotel is nice but it was disappointing that not all of the swimming pools and restaurants were open. It didn't mean we had a bad time but should just be made clear when you book if things aren't going to be open. The beach was nice only a short walk from the hotel and was lovely to be able to enjoy the Dead Sea so close. Comfortable bed, wide variety of food fairly good quality.

Don't stay here!!!!!

The whole experience was very bad staff were unhelpful and what information they did give was wrong, the pools were very low on water and all had a greasy scum line, not ready for use by guests. The food was very poor quality and the juice was squash, this hotel however marketed is only worthy of a 2star rating and that's being very generous not a hotel to recommend and definitely the low point of our trip.

The mint I walk into the door the service was ugly I been told I’m not allowed to enter my snacks and my dad sandwich which he is 80 years old and ask to come to the front door and eat it I was very upset I couldn’t even enter my bottle water I been told it’s the rolls from health department then I can get ice I have to pay 2 dollar for the small poket.food was bad compare to the money I pay each person over 140 for nothing . In the room there was not even water later at the pool 5 years old was found drawn and the life hard did not know even know how to give cpr it’s adisater the girl die service should be way better than this .iand even the bar prices wow unbelievable bottle water one diet 14 dollar . Breakfast was ok room services sucks I ask for service they came after 2 hours it was bad stay and ugly memory witnessing all little girl die don’t take your children their not good and less care for supervion

Our stay started off badly, we booked a room for 3 people when we got there we were told there was a extra charge to the 3rd person which wasn’t stated on the booking. Room wasn’t ready when we got there, we had to wait 30minutes for the 3rd bed to be delivered to our room. Hotel description incorrect, hotel only has 1 restaurant and 2 cafe.
Room wasn’t cleaned on 2nd day although cleaners had been in the room to replenish the bottled water.
Service in the restaurant was extremely slow, bringing condiments for our meals when we had finished. Staff didn’t seem to have a very good work ethic.

Good location but dirty and very poor service!

The place is wonderful and the hotel well localised.
Checking was very long, difficult to find our reservation. The room is pretty large and well furnished, but cleanness is not very good specially in bathroom!
When request dining room service, people don’t understand English, you can wait up to 2 hours and then unfriendly staff informs you that basic dishes you have selected are not available anymore.
I would therefore recommend you to pick up another hotel more friendly.

Perfect!

Faboulus, modern rooms with balcony. Very clean, nice bathrooms.
Solid Wifi. Good breakfast buffet with local and western options.
Private beach with sun loungers and showers. We loved our \"mud bath\" with almost nobody around ;)
Several pools for a real swim.
Would definitely recommend staying here, excellent value for money!

The hotel is not up standards and not worth the amount I paid. Down the road for little more the experience is much better.. The room is not comfortable and the hotel is not kept up. The night was very noisy as they had a singer till late hour on the pool singing. Not a business hotel, may qualify as low budget tourist hotel, but they should charge much less.

New Hotel with a Lot of Potential

Our stay at the hotel began with a rocky start. We had read in one of the reviews (not advertised anywhere by the hotel) that it is a dry hotel. Because of that, we decided to bring with us a bottle of wine to drink in our room. Coming into the hotel, they scanned our suitcases, and told us that we had to pay 20 JOD if we want to bring in the bottle.
We had an argument with the manager regarding this, as it was clear that it was not a religious issue, but rather a way for them to try to make more money out of customers.
Past that rocky beginning, I have to say that the staff was super accommodating. Whatever we wanted was done within 5 minutes. The room was very spacious, well decorated, and clean. The facilities were all clean and very well kept.
It was annoying to find out that 3 out of the 5 hotel restaurants advertised by the hotel are closed, and that the only options one has are Arabic food and Arabic buffet food. The food generally does not taste good, though they just hired a new Food and Beverage Manager, and we discussed with him possibilities for the hotel.

The rooms are very comfortable , but hotel is dry.

The room we got was comfortable and clean. The stuff are very friendly. No alcohol whatsoever and they charge you heavily if you want to bring your own. No entertainment for foreigners.locals come on Weekends And the rest of the week it's almost empty.The beach is quite a walk as most of the hotels and needed a bit cleaning.there are no shops or restaurants around the hotel.
