So far I am disappointed with my 1st night, I paid a lot of money for a room and hotel that doesn’t deserve a 5 star. Very dated hotel no coffee machine at breakfast still can’t understand how for a supposed 5 star and no machine at the breakfast buffet . I then waited 1 hour for a coffee sachet mixed with water. (5star) still hard to believe .
Could not take a proper shower as the water is very low.
Unfortunately couldn’t get an early check out and refund of the 2nd night . So I have to stay another night that I wish I didn’t have to as it is not worth the money I paid .

I've always stayed at this property, booking it with different channels multiple times. This time was the worst, checked in and the room was not clean, pillow case were dirty, bathtub had hair in it, a plastic bag was in the cupboard from the previous guest.
Breakfast in the morning was horrible, I asked or coffee three times and the fourth time I walked up to the employee and asked for one, he ignored me and started laughing with his colleague. They thought I did not understand Arabic but in reality I understood all the degrading comments they were making about me and my group of travelers. I told all of this to Mr. Yasser, and he did his best to resolve it but even after such a horrible experience, there wasn't much he could do.

Very beautiful hotel located in perfect location on the Dead Sea.
I gave this hotel three stars because of the lack of service in the restaurant as well as the general attitude of the staff towards my group. During my stay, I continually watched the staff bend over backwards to take care of their “non-American “ guests while they refused to give us basic service without repeated requests. For this, I give them a three stars.

We stayed at Crowne Plaza Dead Sea and were very disappointed. While the private beach access is a nice feature, the overall experience did not meet 5-star standards. Food options were severely limited. The Lebanese restaurant had good food, but we booked it for sunset and the filthy windows ruined the view.

On our second night, it was closed for a private event, leaving us with only the uninspiring buffet or a lounge serving basic pub-style food instead of the Middle Eastern dishes promised online.

During the day, the main pool was overrun with children, so we went to the adults-only El Grito pool bar. Despite what the website claimed, they didn’t serve food. When I asked for ice cream, I was told to walk the only place to get ice cream was Aqua Bar (10 min walk from El Grito), only to find they’d run out - shocking for a resort of this size.

Staff were generally unhelpful, and service throughout the stay felt well below standard. On our final day, we visited the Marriott next door and the difference was striking: far better food, more dining options, a real café, and ice cream stands. It was similarly priced, and in hindsight, we regretted not staying there instead.

Crowne Plaza looked great online but was the worst 5-star hotel I’ve stayed at. Stay at the Marriott.

Staff at front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff was friendly and the service was good the food was excellent but young chef could not fry two sunny side up soft yolk eggs twice as requested and could not make or understand poached eggs
Room was immaculate with all amenities except hairdryer. Cleaning staff left a beautiful towel and hibiscus flower decoration on the bed which was very kind
Lifeguard and assistant at the Dead Sea were excellent and very friendly. Efficient and well trained to apply mud to all guests that wanted it plus a sea salt scrub after as well. Both gentlemen were professional and knowledgeable. Thank them both so much
Dinner was quite expensive for a buffet but very good. 28 JD each seems high
As we had a really early flight, had to check out well before our included breakfast but front desk kindly arranged a lunchbox for us and coffee to go. Thank you kindly.
General Manager of the hotel kindly gifted us some sweets which was very thoughtful.
We will come back but maybe consider to dine out next time.

Terrible stay. This hotel spoilt my holiday. First, the hotel's Dead Sea beach was closed. Which makes staying in this area pointless as the area is isolated. Second, their swimming pools were empty. This was one of the main attractions to do here. They had no real excuse, different stories like heating broke or cleaning pools. They said we could use the Spa pools instead. But then they charged 10JD each time to use them. Disgraceful. I had put a deposit on account at reception. But everytime I went for a meal I got harassed by staff about payment. On one occassion I had to tell the buffet staff FOUR times that I was charging it to my room. Then whilst I was eating, a member of staff came to me asked me to pay for my meal, whilst I was eating and had already told them 4 times I was charging it to my room account. Talking of food. The quality of the food was poor. Also every meal time the food was only luke warm. A disgrace. Generally, they will try and add extra charges to everything and are not concerned about providing any customer satisfaction. Then I had been shopping and brough some bottles of wine as gifts. They refused to allow me to bring in the wine as they said it was a security policy at the Dead Sea area that bottles of wine were not allowed to be brought into the hotel. Then they said I could bring in the bottles if I paid 50JD. Rip off hotel! That was the final straw. I booked out and went to another hotel.

Great location with easy access to the Dead Sea. The wait staff at the pool and dining area were top notch and working their butts off, but they were obviously understaffed. The rooms were a little outdated but clean. The restaurants were good, but again understaffed as we had to wait for two servers to take care of the entire dining room. Great spot for families, but it didn’t have all the luxuries that I expect from a 5 star hotel.

Pool: I like the very big pool, but what I don't like is the opening and closing times, in the morning it opened at 8:30AM I would like to swim the sun raising (6AM) and also the closing it closes at 6PM , I would like to swim until 7:30 PM.

Food: no comment here food was great .

Staff: I like the the staff they are very polite.

Room: I like the room in general except the monitors inside of it very old device, you can not connect to Internet through it to watch movies, series...etc

perfect for a relaxing stop after touring Jordan

this was our final stop after touring Jordan. We chose the hotel for its location on the DS and because we trust IHG. we wanted to relax and enjoy the natural wanders of the location and we totally met our expectations here.
the beach is fantastic, the pools are very well and well maintained. staff was friendly. just the dinner buffet was a bit below our expectations in terms of food variety and service. also the breakfast buffet could be improved.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are very nicely appointed. The property is well maintained and the pools are terrific. The bar staff at the lobby bar were very nice and helpful. The biggest challenge is the dining at the hotel. The Lebanese food was not good and I do like Lebanese food. Plus the service was tragic. Ambrosia for breakfast was adequate, but no more than that.

We were greeted by unprofessional staff. The lady of the other receptionist informed me that I need to pay for an additional bed. I was not aware of this condition as it does not align with international travels that I’ve done in the past. I ended up paying $100 for a bed only to find it that bad for a kid not for an adult. So I had to share the twin bed with my daughter. I requested a refund but they did not offer me any resolution. The bed that they gave us was a child’s bed and they knew that there were three adults in this room.. I should not pay for something that is not within standards.. place was filthy

A total rip-off. For the price, the rooms are outdated, curtains torn, old bath tub/shower with curtain. Food inedible. I had a cheese omelette, that tasted like it was filled with plastic. They could not even offer an edible pizza. The staff, I am certain, is poorly paid and it shows. They try, but not to the high cost of this third-rate wanna-be resort. The spa is the only nice feature. Noisy, music blaring until midnight making it impossible to sleep. I could not wait to leave. I cannot believe my stay at the Crown Plaza cost more than the exquisite St. Regis in Amman. I honestly felt like I was on a third-rate cruise ship with even worse food.

Things to consider for improvement, beds are not much comfy, Sauna and Steam should be part of basic room subscription for such a resort, needs more activities around the pools and at night after pools closure.

However, overall stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed the family stay, advise to book here.

This property is far away from the general hotel area which some people may prefer. They have an overpriced transportation service on site and no taxis available in the area, recommend to pre-arrange or uber/careem. Limited vegetarian options but the hospitality staff was very helpful in making me food. The staff was much more attentive to large groups, would not recommend for a solo traveler as my service was constantly overlooked (no welcome drinks, long waits in empty areas). Carefully read before booking as Expedia ruined my reservation and removed my breakfast option between browsing and booking... Book directly with IHG you can buy their points on sale to book. Better value available in the area..

People at the reception were polite and professional and the room was decent and I enjoyed both the spa and the dead sea. My only complain is the food. The package was half board (Dinner and Breakfast).

For a 5 star hotel the buffet was an incredibly disappointing experience (Except for the pastries and dessert which was good). Food was incredibly bland and tasteless. I might return again but I hope the food improves by then.

Really nice place, so much better than one in the hills we had to leave after checking in! A great feature is you can use the beach for free and they top up sinks with dead Sea mud if you fancy that. Reccomend compare price to IHG website as they are part of the group. Enjoy!

Floating in the dead sea, drinking cocktails by the pool and enjoying the the jacuzzi by sunset were all amazing. This place was nice and big and we were there in early january when it was quiet. However, I found the bed way too soft and just not very comfortable. The air con in our room didn't work though the weather was such that we didn't need it. I tried to get laundry done, calling in the evening to get it picked up, no one showed up, called again the next morning before 9am so I could get it the same day, no one showed up. Went to reception to finally get it handed over, having to stress that I needed it that evening. Had to return to reception at 7pm to ask about it again (it was due back by 6pm). Eventually my two jumpers were dropped into our room while we were out to dinner between 7-9pm. And I paid 8JOD for this!

On checking out we paid about €300 for breakfast and dinner for 2 people for two nights and 6 cocktails in total. Part of that was a 20 JOD resort fee. I wouldn't mind the lacklustre service if it wasn't all so expensive but would like to get more for that kind of money.

Just in general while the place was lovely and we had a good time, the hotel itself really frustrated me and took away from the experience. I would recommend the experience, not sure I'd recommend the place and would not like to see it during a busy time!

I'm always fair with my reviews and score based on price and star level. This place professes to be 5 star but from the minute we left reception we were extremely disappointed. The lobby is nice but it looks like that's all they keep maintained. We paid for a sea view but could only just see it when stood up on the balcony. I mentioned this on the Hotels.com check in comments and was emailed by management a day later (our last day). They stated that they had been ringing our room to deal with our concerns. Who stays in their room all day waiting for a phone call? However, when I returned to my room our keys didn't work. I went to reception in my swimwear and received no explanation why my keys had been deactivated despite asking. I then received an email saying they had arranged to move rooms (this was late on our last day) but this was not mentioned at reception. Simply not 5 star treatment. It just wasn't up to scratch. Room service plates in other rooms were left out all day alongside rubbish, staff made no attempt to tidy up. There were pools out of use that looked in a state of disrepair. When we arrived we did not get a smile or warm welcome. As a comparison, we also stayed al Movenpick a 100 metres down the road, now that is proper 5 star and somewhere we will always remember due to the professional staff, maintenance, food and room. If this was a 3 star hotel I would not be as upset

Disappointing Stay; Not a 5* Hotel

We stayed at this hotel from Dec 31st and Jan 1st. We understand that this is a very busy time of the year, and probably everyone is busy with the volume of people coming to enjoy the holidays, however that is not an excuse to poor service specially from a 5 star hotel. The crew barely spoke english, no smile or sign of Arabian hospitality, our room (# 8111) floor had sand, bath room trashcan had old trash, the room's AC/heating control was broken. Worst of all, on 2nd night, the bathroom roof was leaking and floor was all flooded. We called service, it took 15 minutes for someone to come, who could not speak English. We were worried if the water is from toilet above and dirty or not. he did fix something, spoke loud in Arabic and then wiped the water with extra towels ion the bathroom. We called service number again for an English speaking help (another 15 minutes have passed by now). Faisal went to front desk to explain in details (as no one was picking up the phone)while I stayed in the room. A senior person comes in and says \"oh it's dry now and you can stay here\". I told them without understanding what caused the leakage, we don't want to stay at 8111, we want a new room. He then shows me a room (I think #8213) on the 2nd floor of that unit, and the bathroom had water on the floor (again). I asked why? he only kept on saying \"it's ok, it's good, it's clean\". In the meantime, Faisal is back from front desk with a new room key 1403, which was a good room.

No hot water in my room. Maintenance had to come fix. There were holes in my towels. Got replacement towels. Heater didn’t work. Maintenance tried to fix, told me to wait. After one hour it was still freezing cold. Called maintenance, waited for another hour, still didn’t show up. Finally called reception for a new room. All this went on for about 4 hours. Then at 10p, the entire property went dark, no electricity, anywhere (still no heat)! What the heck is wrong with you guys? This happened in NYE!

Worst Resort Ever

This hotel has the worst value for money of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Advertising a five star resort while providing two star cleanliness and one star service. During check in we were being hastily helped by one man before being handed off to another man on the other side of the lobby and then handed over to a women that was on the phone the entire check in process speaking to other staff members. Upon entry to our \"cleaned\" room we were greeted with a strangers hair tie on the floor and a bed that merely had the bedding thrown on top of without it being made as well as a large brown stain on the floor of the bathroom. The in room hotel welcome booklet was moist and feeling of salt as if it had in itself been put into the dead sea. We went and dined at at their vastly overpriced on site restaurant and upon reentry to our room we discovered the television was not working. Three calls to the front desk over the span of an hour and a visit to the front desk twice we got a staff member to come and fix the television. During this hour plus long process to get our tv fixed I requested the manager on four occasions. The manager never spoke with me not even once. Staying at this \"resort\" for one night not only drains your wallet through overpriced resort dining and beverages but also lacks the cleanliness and service expected from even a basic hotel. Would not recommend this property for any visit. Avoid at all costs.

Great Hotel !!!

Excellent service. Tight security. Accessable to dead sea. Had a early trip the next day and hotel packed 4 boxes of breakfast for us to take away. Great facilities including indoor dead sea pool and heated pool. Highly recommended. Look no more !

Awesome place to relax and enjoy the Dead Sea!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Plaza. We loved their property and enjoyed all the amenities from the swimming area in the Dead Sea with their complimentary mud, the refreshing pool, a great breakfast with a huge variety of options, and delicious meals and shisha at Burj Al Hamam Lebanese restaurant. Their Spa is amazing with lots of relaxation options and the nicest Hamam area with dry sauna, steam, and several pools at different temperatures. Truly pampering. The staff throughout our stay was very attentive, welcoming, and accommodating. They provided top notch service. We even cancelled an extra night we had planned at Wadi Rum to come back to this hotel on our way back to Amman. Thank you Crowne Plaza!!

Amazing stay at the Dead Sea!

We had an amazing stay at the Crown Plaza Jordan Dead Sea and Resort. They have a beautiful property and we enjoyed their swimming area in the Dead Sea with their complimentary mud, the refreshing pool, a great breakfast with a huge variety of options, and delicious dinner at Burj Al Hamam Lebanese restaurant. Their Spa is amazing with lots of relaxation options and the nicest Hamam area with dry sauna, steam, and several pools at different temperatures. Truly pampering. LATE IN EVENING/OUTDOOR PUBLIC EVENT WOES

Make sure you don't get a room overlooking the outdoor special events area. I got in at 3AM and was awakened at 9AM with loud music, PA announcements, etc. I was able to get reassigned to a quieter room the next day.

IF you arrive very late in the evening or after midnight, don't be surprised if the reception staff are a bit surly. Reception was a bit rocky.

Stayed for one night. Disappointing. Lobby and bars were excellent and reasonably priced drinks. Bar manager and staff very attentive. Lots of flies around pool and I mean hundreds. It may be the tone of year but couldn’t sunbathe. Rooms were tired. No shower curtain. Shower was powerful though and water a good temperature..No milk for coffee or tea in room. Parking an issue too. Good access to Dead Sea. Spa was excellent. Wouldn’t recommend the evening buffet as overpriced. Pizza at the bar looked good though and wish I had ordered that instead of buffet.

One of the best stay of our long trip from New Zealand. Nice facility, beautiful beach, clean rooms, nice sea view, friendly staff... very good and memorable experience. Love Dead Sea and love Crowne Plaza!

Dead Sea Stay

The friendliness of the staff is the outstanding aspect of this hotel. The pool is also fantastic and access to the beach is good (not too far to walk.
The room was comfortable but some small maintenance issues needed attention.
Food options were good and quality was excellent.
Would stay again.

Very welcoming reception who even kindly upgraded our room but things went downhill from there. The floor outside our room was filthy littered with cigarette butts and other bits. It took 4 phone calls and then a personal angry visit to guest relations until we got another bed in our room (as per our booking). Towels had not been cleaned borates there enough for more than one person. Shampoo and body lotion were open and clearly had not been changed. There were other issues too including fact that air conditioning failed to work. On the plus side lovely dinner and breakfast buffet and friendly staff.

Beautiful resort from the minute you walk into the reception and progress to doing a tour of the resort. Well appointed with lovely rooms, swimming pools and direct access to the dead sea. A number of restaurants onsite but many are overpriced and service doesn't align with the cost. Luggage is scanned by security and corkage of 30JD per litre is charged for taking alcohol onsite.

We booked a room with a sea view as this was our honeymoon however at check in we were advised that we were getting a nice room with a pool view. We were confident in our booking and it appears there may have been a discrepancy with the accommodation & the reservation with expedia.com. We argued our case and provided the evidence and eventually we were successful in obtaining a sea view room as we had booked despite previously being told there were no sea view rooms available.

The room was clean and had a beautiful view. The check in and check out process was easy as well. However there was an incident at the hotel which we did address with two staff members before we assumed anything. I believe the area the incident occurred in was around the Mexican restaurant. We were roaming around the property with our maps to see what we would want to do later. As we approached that area, we were intrigued as the music was quite loud. A staff member approached us and asked what we were looking for, I told him nothing as we were looking around with our maps. We noticed that this area only had men in it. Then one of the guests approached me quite aggressively and asked me “what do you want?” In the rudest manner. I was unsettled and went to ask the next staff member I saw if that area was men’s only? He told me it was. I then discussed that with a server at the lounge in the lobby and with front desk. They both told me that was not the case and they apologized. The feel of this hotel was quite unsettling in general. However, it was quite beautiful and the dinner buffet was amazing.
