My recent stay at the Hyatt was a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional and incredibly accommodating, even recommending places to visit during my stay which I found very considerate and helpful. The breakfast was also great with a wide selection of dishes and gluten-free options.

However, I had two complaints. Firstly, the rooms were far too hot for my liking. I understand keeping rooms warm during Swedish winters but it became uncomfortable at times. While I prefer a colder room for sleeping, I realise this may not be everyone’s preference.

Secondly, I encountered a few issues. Some items were missing from my room, like an empty mini fridge, and I had to pay extra for fabric slippers.

Despite these minor inconveniences, I wouldn’t discourage others from staying at the Hyatt. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with everything within walking distance or easily accessible by the nearby train or tram station.

The hotel was good for the price. The room did not have a window to the outside only to a courtyard which was internal. The walls were very thin and you could hear people in other rooms and every time a door closed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good selection however lacked quality and some days it was hard to find a seat. The hotel is in a central location and it is easy to walk everywhere.

The location is the most perfect location I have ever stayed in! It's right next to the bus/coach station (direct to and from the airport for £12 each way), inside the train station, across the way from the trams, across the way from a shopping mall and a 100 food and convenience stores within arms reach! The room was also really nice, lobby was lovely, breakfast was amazing, staff really friendly! I would 100% recommend this hotel!

If you are coming into the city by either train or bus, the hotel's location cannot be beat as it is attached to Gothenburg's Central Station and they offer luggage storage if you arrive before check-in. My room was a bit smaller than other Hyatt Place hotels I have stayed in on the western side of the Atlantic, but this hotel is all about the convenience of its location as food, shops, pharmacy, and transportation are all found within Central Station although downtown Gothenburg is quite walkable. The desk staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. This isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, but it has everything the casual traveler needs. I would stay here again.

My stay at Hyatt Place was fantastic. Simon, Elvira, and the entire team were outstanding. When my flight was rescheduled and I requested an extension, they had no family rooms available—yet Simon went out of his way to secure an alternative room for us. It was hands-down my best hotel experience. Everyone I met in Sweden was incredibly helpful, and it’s a bonus that they all speak excellent English.

Easy stay for the station

Hotel is built into the train station so plenty of easy food to grab, you need to walk a little further for anything more substantial. Decent location for the city.

The lobby was nice, efficient staff, good breakfast but the room was a disappointment. Stained bed head, dubious looking stains on the mattress, bathroom was a little tired & depressing looking. It’s fine but doesn’t reflect its advertising or first impression.

Arrived early couldn’t check in until 3pm on the dot that is stated in booking confirmation,
Staff friendly and helpful allowing us to us a room to store our baggage, the room very dimly lit not a lot of lights clean and comfortable, plenty of facilities in the room kettle tea coffee, fridge , iron and ironing board,
Tv with English Channels, no views or windows to open . The hotel is conveniently next to the bus terminal and is also part of the train station, with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Breakfast is a buffet style with lots of choice.
All the staff seem happy to help with any enquiries you may have . A good stay and would recommend and stay again

Can't say enough about this hotel!

First off, the staff was so welcoming and helpful!!
The hotel is located in the train station, perfect in case of rain. The station is full of restaurants and shops for anything you may have forgotten. Across the street is Nordstan mall, also full of restaurants, a grocery store and shopping. Its a 12 min easy walk to tourist attractions/center of the city.
The hotel has a fabluous breakfast buffet every morning included. Meats, cheeses, bread, swedish pancakes, fruit/vegtables, so many more choices!
Our room was extremely quiet! We heard one noise in a week. We had a fridge, electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. The room was a good size, modern bathroom, large TV (never turned on) A very relaxing room as well as an inviting sitting area in the lobby.

We stayed 3 nights during the Way Out West festival weekend. The location is very strategic since the hotel is right above the train station. The breakfast buffet was great, lots of options and even if it can be crowded there is enough space for everyone to enjoy it. The staff is also very kind, and accommodating.
Some of the downside of our stay is that the sofa bed is a bit uncomfortable for an adult, and you could not open windows.
I would recommend it for short stays when you need a place to sleep.

I would have to say - “the is the world class BREAKFAST I ever had”
I couldn’t believe it. It was a good huge bigger > my room-size of breakfast display; in rush of catching my train, the server give me a to-go bag.
Isra the front receptionist is unbelievable, she helped me to call my Stockholm hotel for my left behind passport.
Melanie, the mgr is very nice and friendly to provide me with direction for train office (trying to return to Stockholm for my passport)

Staff were super friendly, especially Isabel and Sara in the bar. They both gave us great tips about getting around Gothenburg and even came back to our table a few times to write down recommendations and guide us with our map. They really made us feel welcome.
The facilities were clean and modern, and literally couldn’t have been more convenient for train travel!

The location is perfect, right by the central station. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Overall, a wonderful experience thanks to a great hotel and an outstanding staff. Loved everything about this property. Conveniently located at the central station. Literally drop down to grab a bite or pick up a snack. The staff was so courteous and helpful. The front desk guy got me a table fan because I was feeling a bit warm in my room. The breakfast buffet is simply awesome. Their chia pudding is the best. A short walk to the mall for shopping, restaurants and the beautiful garden nearby. It is also amazing how soundproof the rooms are. I highly recommend staying here.

Good place to stay

Very nice hotel. I would recommend it to anybody, with one caveat – if you’re traveling and staying in hotel during the hot summertime don’t count on air-conditioning – there is none.
I have to admit that the breakfast there is outstanding.
Otherwise -would stay there again.

Outstanding hotel with exceptional staff

From the minute of arrival through the beautiful foyer, we were greeted with a very warm Swedish welcome. We were booked in with great courtesy and advised of hotel facilities. Our room was spotlessly clean, our beds luxuriously comfortable and so quiet, we never heard even the slightest outside noise.

Breakfast was beyond belief, a choice for every taste with the best kitchen staff you could hope for.

We have travelled the globe over the past 40 years and we can honestly say that the hotel was utterly faultless with the best staff you could possibly want.

We almost want to keep this hotel a secret, so that we can enjoy it to ourselves! We can't wait to be back, thank you so much to the staff for making this such a special 3 night trip. OUTSTANDING!
