The room was not very clean. Blood was left in the shower and twice cleaning cloths were left in our rooms.

The fact the pool cost extra was ridiculous and came with restrictions on when children could use the pool. The booking system was ridiculous.

The hotel is perfectly situated for a short break in Gothenburg however the air conditioning and fridge in the room were not working properly and two different hotel staff said these were known problems, related to the age of the building. I think the hotel is therefore over priced.

The staff were the most helpful smiley pleasant staff I have ever encountered. They gave 100% to everyone all the time
I also liked the idea of free coffee at anytime

A really lovely place with magnificent views of the city if you are on a higher floor

The only things I didnt like was having the bar only outside when the weather was fine. Not enough space to sit outside and too many steps for the less abled

I certainley didnt like the idea of paying to access the pool, I thought that was cheeky

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. The airport bus stop is just a few minutes walk away, the trams (to everywhere) are right outside and the main sights are within walking distance. Our room was clean, the shower good and the bed comfortable, All public areas were well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, as always in a Clarion hotel. Staff on the front desk and in the restaurant were excellent. Just a few glitches though, that made our stay four rather than five stars. House-keeoing was erratic - every day, something was forgotten (tea/coffee replenishment, new bathmat, clean cups, fresh towels), Front desk put everything right quickly when we reported it but it was bit of a faff. And, occasionally, there was a whiff in the bathroom - not of our doing, we are certain because it was when we had come in from a day trip and had not used the bathroom for several hours - which we surmised to be from the whole system backing up. It's an old building, but they really need to do a thorough sweep of the plumbing system. Nevertheless, on balance, a good stay- but not outstanding as we have experienced in other Clarion hotels.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were super clean, and the beds were really comfy. Breakfast was amazing with lots of tasty options, including plenty gluten-free options (there was a dedicated gluten free area) The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. There were plenty of spots to sit and chill around the hotel. The beauty shop was awesome, with a great selection of products and fantastic treatments (highly recommend the massage!). I have stayed here twice and would book again on my next visit to Gothenburg. The rooms are clean and well sized. The gym has a good selection of equipment. The staff are amazing. The roof top pool is a treat.

Excellent hotel - room with a perfect view!

Fantastic stay - excellent checkin process and we were given a fantastic room.
We had booked a superior room and given the choice of high or low floor. We chose high floor and we given a room on the 10th floor - perfect view!! Could see all of the city from various angles.
Breakfast was fantastic - great selection and plenty to suit all tastes.
Location of the hotel is excellent, right beside Central Station and walkable to all everything we needed.
We would definitely come back and stay again.

Lovely hotel in an ideal location, 3 minutes walk to centre with shopping mall. Really enjoyed our stay here, staff were very friendly, check-in and check-out very easy. There was a safe space to leave luggage after checking-out which made exploring the city before our flight a breeze. Only criticism is that bath robes and slippers were only available to premium room bookings, which I found unusual. Even the most basic hotels offer this, despite this I would revisit this hotel again.

The battery in the safe AND the remote control were dead. The temperature adjustment and the mini fridge DID NOT WORK. It took over a day to have the batteries changed, we were told the person WENT HOME EARLY!!!! The hotel was recently renovated, so we expected at least One of the above to work.

The property is right across the street from the central station, which is very convienent for travelers. Also the hotel appears to be retrofitted from an old office building which gives it a different type of design. Lots of food options in the hotel and plenty of options at the breakfast buffet.
The pool is in a different part of the building, which you have to book time slots for and have to get access cards for. A bit confusing at times.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! I stayed here with my dog and it was such a pleasure to have everything prepared and a welcome kit that had specific dog friendly towels, outlined where he could go and even a sheet to lay on the bed to protect it. EXCELLENT breakfast, service, spa and pool! Highly recommended!

Amazing stay!!!!

If you are wondering whether to stay here, the answer is YES. I will definitely come here again, the staff were so friendly, the room was so so so clean, breakfast was awesome and the bar area is lovely - such a great vibe on a Saturday night. The bus, train station and Trams are right at the front door.
Unfortunately I did not get to visit the spa (hopefully next time). Thank you for a great stay clarion post! :)

I'm from the US, but I had no difficulty finding out how to thrive it Gothenburg. The hotel staff, every one of them, was exceptionally helpful. Especially Maria, the woman at the desk. She was a tremendous asset who helped my wife and me with some practical and smart suggestions.

I enjoyed this property and it was nice and quiet and accessible. As a coeliac, I was very grateful for the gluten free selection and separate toaster. The day spa was beautiful with very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing for me was that on Friday and Saturday evenings, the thumping from the music in the bar travelled to the room on level 5 until late. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

It was tricky to negotiate the road system in the very central area. Check in was quick. Had to pay extra for parking in the nearby mall. Rooms were nice but reeked of sweaty armpits. It was a noisy area with the bustling nightlife, and the room neighbors were very noisy. Otherwise a beautiful hotel.

The location could not be better. Active Plaza area with trams, buses, taxis, trains, every mode of transportation. However, you can walk to the park, the shops, the mall very easily. Hotel is beautiful with good staff. Breakfast Buffet is the best I have ever eaten. Gym is a bit out of the way but really large enough is get a decent \"vacation\" workout. My stay was really enjoyable.
