Hostel was very welcoming and staff was friendly from time of booking our stay. Flights got delayed and they were quick to respond. Room and bathrooms were very clean at all times. The sense of community was comforting while traveling in a new place. I highly recommend.

This hostel has a proper working oven. YAY!! I was able to bake cookies and share with staff.
Areas well set up and large - kitchen, eating area, lounge, etc.
Staff are very friendly and helpful (even before i gave them cookies).
However, lots of stairs which may not be good for elderly or handicapped.

Very disappointed with the stay here and the service. I would not recommend this at all as they clearly do not care for their customers. We booked a private room and when we entered it smelled of fresh paint fumes. We asked to switch rooms, to which we were told none available. It was late at night and therefore too late to find alternative accomodations. Front desk directed us to send email to support for a refund as they \"could not\" process it. Their back end email support was deeply unhelpful and stopped replying although they did acknowledge the room had been recently renovated. Expedia would not do anything to make the situation right either as the hostel refused any refunds.

Amazing Hostel. Theresa, Carol and Nuno at the reception were amazing. Theresa was always at hand to help she is amazing please look out for her when you use this hostel. I can clearly say the best hostel in Faro very professional.

The property itself was great, the noise was on the street outside. They do sell earplugs in reception, maybe next time we will buy some! With those in place we would definitely return and recommend it!

Wallet and bank card got stolen within 24 hours of stay.. no support from hostel but the rest was ok.. call it a learnt experience..best part meeting new people around the world..rest well hmm..

The property is located centrally and very well connected to main attractions and beaches around Faro. Walking distance to many useful places such as the ferry pick up points, supermarkets, coffe shops and local restaurants. The staff is great, very helpful and friendly, the service offered is better than a normal hotel as they organise events, boat trips and transfers.
The only thing we didn't like was the noise overnight. The hostel is actually very quiet but there were people on the road shouting and singing always between 3 to 5 every night. I found this very disturbing.

The staff were really friendly and gave me advice about day trips and help with my boarding passes for my flight. Unfortunately it took me 14hrs to get to Edinburgh on a flight from Faro-Dublin-Edinburgh. I arrived home at 3.30 in the morning. The offer from Ryanair was a 4 euro coupon to be used in the airport only. So, the 4 euro voucher was not available on the flight. But the staff were very accommodating at hostellicious and knowledgeable about the area

Really liked this hostel. The rooms are clean and fairly modern. Big drawer for each person with plenty of room to store your stuff safely within. The toilet/shower facilities are kept very clean and are in good condition - especially the showers. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable.

Good - but not the 2nd night

Stayed 2 nights 3 days apart. 1st night was good and room to the rear managed to sleep well despite pillows not to my liking. 2nd night front room, 1st floor, no sleep whatsoever. Loud noise from youths in the street outside all night long, or least until I left for the airport at 04:15 am.

Cool place, friendly crowd, good vibes.
Right at the center of town with l lots of restaurants and bars a round .
Will definitely stay again when on town .
Roof top terrace for when the days are too windy for the beach.
Take a little speaker with you , put some lo-fi on and chill in the sun trap .

I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer from the UK with the relevant documentation, but the property refused to let me check in with this and insisted they accept the EU vaccination passports only. I had to show proof of a negative lateral flow test to be allowed to stay here. I was lucky in that I had arrived in Portugal that same day, so had one, however considering the Portuguese Government accept UK vaccination certificates, it's disappointing that this property won't. Had a booked to stay later in my trip, I would have been unable to check in. This information on requiring the negative lateral flow test and non-acceptance of UK administered vaccines was not available on my booking information at all, which was fully paid prior to arrival

A problem for non smoking guests.

It is allowed to smoke inside the building for visitors in every patio and balcony. The wind blows the smoke into the building into the halls. Wherever you walk inside the building you smell cigarettes and lots of people are smoking cigarettes in the patio. I can not visit the cute cosy patio to relax there, for this disgusting unhealthy stinking smoking reason. and walking in the hall smelling cigarettes everywhere, is also a problem for me. Smoking people everywhere in the patio who are refusing to go out to the street for their smoking habit and problem. If you try to avoid smoking places, than this hostel should not be booked. Which is a shame, because the hostel and location is super beautiful. I just don't like to stay in places where smoking is allowed. Will for this reason not book here again, and want to inform others about this issue. Let this be a warning for other non smoking guests. My visit was on 2 Nov 2020. they might change policy on this later, and than I might consider to come back on my next visit, But for now it is on my black list. Very sorry.

Close to city centre and marina. Easy to find. About 16 minutes drive frome airport, 8-10€ taxi price.
Rooms are comfortable all clean. Staff working well. Only problem is shower: thermoregulator no works at all, you get cold or 10 seconds 48 degrees water.

Location is fab - short walk to the bus and train stations, cathedral and harbour (under 10 mins to all), our room was spotlessly clean and had its own little balcony. There's also a nice little chill out area downstairs, and a wealth of info/resources advertised on boards all over the hostel. We didn't use the kitchen but there is one available, should you need it. Staff were friendly and helpful and always willing to chat. Wifi worked well.

Minor issues: had to have a cold shower on the first day as the hostel was battling an issue regarding water pressure with the local authority, but it was fixed by our second day and then the shower was amazing! Also would've liked a couple of cups in the room for drinks of water at night, but we were able to grab some from the staff at reception.

Important to note: the private rooms are on the second/third floor and there is no lift. Didn't bother us, but may be an issue for others.

One of the best hostels

One of the best hostels I have ever been in. Few rooms are still under renovation. It’s not a party hostel as they expect pin drop silence after 11pm else they will ask you leave outside.
Joanna is the star of the hostel always happy to help you with everything. i would love to be back here

Centrally located, easy access to tourist sites, train/bus station. The room is spacious, however very poor ventilation. there is no air conditioning in the room so it could be difficult in the summer months. it was warm so we had to leave the door open and the street noise never stop overnight. overall it's a good stay given the price

Service was mediocre on check in and room was clean upon arrival. Many bars in the area so it was quite loud until early morning hours (5am) and quite a few people smoking outside which made the room smell like a smoking room.

The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in!

The beds appear to be DIY using timber from a home improvement store, but they seemed sturdy enough. The bathrooms were very clean. In fact, I often saw someone in there cleaning. My only complaint is that the hooks in the showers are placed over the stall walls, which are very high up.

João at the reception was the perfect host. Welcoming staff. Gave you all the tips you need to have the perfect time in Faro. The hostel is really tidy and the staff are always there to help. Spotless clean, have got all the conditions to cook, shower, and the beds are confortable. Had a great time and made some friends. Recommend and I'll definitely come back to this when I'm in Faro again.

Noisy noisy noisy!

The hostel is in a lovely area - but with no aircon or fan in the room we had to keep the window open.
This meant there were very few minutes that there wasn’t music, people talking loudly (the noise really carried), shouting and cars revving as they went past.

Facilities excellent - temperature and noise really let this place down.

Promising hostel in central Faro

I don't know when did this hostel open, however it seems promising, there is plenty of space and it seems that they are doing new things.

Location and Wifi are the best things (90MB download speed? yes please), room is big enough and has what you need, comfortable bed, bed light and power outlets, reception is open 24 hours and I stayed in the common area until late at night, was still open, I also cooked late, bathrooms are big enough.

On the improvable side of things they should put curtains on the beds as other hostels do in Portugal, the showers should have knobs instead of push buttons, they don't last too long and there are no hooks or anything to hang your clothes, bins are very small, they overflow easily, it seems that during the evening there is not housekeeping, they need, at least, one more fridge and better checking them, the only one was small and messy, staff was very noisy when cleaning the rooms and due to the wind doors were slamming very hard sometimes, which doesn't help if you are trying to sleep a bit more than usual, beds don't have numbers, you pick whichever you want, but I am sure that will not last long as the cleaning staff was confused with them.

Overall I had a nice stay, if they start taking feedback seriously and apply improvements they have plenty of room to grow, it was super cheap also.
