Great quiet location in Faro and very accessible. We stayed in late March—despite some rain, it was a pleasant stay.

Spotlessly clean with daily room service. Staff were very helpful and responsive, especially at check-in and when we requested extra pillows.

Room layout was a bit tight around the bed and wardrobe, and WiFi/TV signal could be unreliable.

Overall, great value for money—clean, comfortable, good location, and pleasant décor. Highly recommend.

Location is good to get to Old Town and marina area. Desk clerk was impatient to the point of being rude. Bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and got zero help from the clerk. I was told to take it up with the manager in the morning, but we left at 4:30am to the airport, so that didn’t work out so well. My advice, stay away.

We choose this property for its proximity to the Festival F. To be honest the next time we visit Faro we will most likely not choose this property. The room while very clean is extremely small. The comfort of the bed is okay at best. No amenities such as a mini fridge. The friendliness of the staff varied from not welcoming to okay but not the friendliness that we typically receive. To be fair the amenities are always relative to the price and I would be fine with this property if the price was much lower than other properties with more amenities.

They offered 24hour checkin but the person who opened for us was ckearly sleeping and was not welcoming at alll. They also charged us to store our bags. Personally if i stay at your property i believe bag storage afrer checkout should be free as was the case with many other properties i have stayed at.

We stayed 2 nights in the junior suit. The beds weren't too bad. We slept comfortably. The duvet had hair on it. The floor was dusty and the cleanliness of the toilet and the bathroom needs big improvement.
The night staff and day staff have bad level of customer service. They could be be more welcoming to guests that pay to stay there. There is no breakfast offered at this executive house.
Otherwise the location is great. Walking distance with the town, close to restaurants and public transport.

Amazing place to stay quiet area itself but an about 5-8 mins walk to old town ( full of shops and restaurants) and 13 mins to the marina where you can get a €4 return trip to the beach.
The property its self is amazing ; roof top terrace, kitchen for use. Come and go as you please. You can acquire hair dryers and irons from reception for a €20 deposit which you get back as soon as you return the item. The airport was a short drive away and cheap via uber or bolt.

Hotel is very nice and comfortable. Bed is great. Bathroom spacious and clean. Only issue was the functioning of the controls in sink and shower. It is not intuitive. Took me forever to figure out the shower. Also we learned that Portugal hotels require your passport info. Faro also wanted 2€ each person in cash for City Tax. Expedia should add this to the room cost.

Very nice hostel with good facilities and outdoor space. The shower did leak onto the floor and it was a bit silly to ask for €20 cash as a deposit to use the iron and hairdryer (I have never had to hand over a deposit for these) as I was on my way home the next day and didn’t want to get it out in cash. I managed to convince the receptionist to give both to me without a deposit in the end! Overall really comfortable stay.

I think some of the other reviews don’t realize this is a hostel not a hotel. By definition it’s meant to be no frills but for the things I really care about: everything listed above, I have no complaints.

There was no optional breakfast, no laundry facilities, & luggage storage simply meant place bags behind the receptionist desk. There was no one at the front desk on many occasions. Says soundproof rooms, but heard lots of stomping and door slamming. Mattress was super hard and lumpy.

This house is simply superb. Juan, Francisco and Annabel were hugely welcoming and helpful. The kitchen if fully stocked and superbly clean. The ceilings on the first floor are very high so even our bunk bed room felt spacious. Best of all was a choice of two outdoor spaces. A stunning roof terrace and a kitchen courtyard.The location is central and there is even a park opposite to run in. I would not stay anywhere else in Faro given the value for money, the welcoming staff and the central location. They were even kind enough to keep a scarf I left behind.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alameda. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for walking to shops and food. They are right beside a Michelin star restaurant

Good all around except noise at night

My stay was good and staff were helpful, room was spacious enough and clean and location was good. Just a bit noisy at night, the noise from people downstairs in the kitchen and adjacent rooms carried and took a while to get used to. But that is the only thing to note and add someone staying there on my own maybe the quietness in my own room made it more noticeable.

This place was awful, firstly, I had emailed 4 days prior my arrival to let the staff know that I would be arriving past midnight due to my flight. I was waiting outside the property and had no answer from the manager for an hour. Secondly, this hotel claims to have 24 hour front desk services however the manager is sleeping in the back or not in the building. Thirdly after asking for new towels, staff stated that this can only be provided after 3 days of check in which is disgusting, especially when the weather is so hot and doing water activities. Fourthly, house keeping do not change the bedsheets despite telling them three times. Another disappointment was the lack of toiletries, after requesting shampoo several times which was empty on our arrival, the staff still did not fill up the dispenser. The AC also was broken, the curtains do not close properly which resulted in us to wake up early every morning despite having a late night. The staff were uninterested in our concerns and dismissed us each time. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from Alameda Exclusive House, from the outside there’s nothing to give anything away but I was greeted with welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel is small but very accessible. Has a lift to all floors. The lobby is very small but there is a communal kitchen and rooftop for casual lounging. The bedroom was very small with a tiny en-suite but no issues at all. It was clean and smelt fresh. There was heating and air con and a TV.
Overall a nice little gem of a place.

Very unhelpful

We tried to have a shower but it wouldn’t drain away and flooded the en suite. When telling the receptionist we were told there were no other rooms and they could not offer us a secure shower facility only shared shower which you couldn’t lock which were for the dormitories on the whole floor.There was nobody of gravitas that was there to help just a clueless young lady who was way out of her depth. Basically it was a take it or leave it situation!

Note: since covid they no longer have breakfast available, nor do they have laundry facilities available. There is a laundromat a few blocks away.

This is a hostel like place and not worth the $. For the area, the hotel isn’t worth $. I paid less in Lisbon and Porto with nicer hotel. I should have paid the extra $ to stay elsewhere. We paid for 2 rooms and almost wouldn’t give us new towels.

Very spacious and modern designed hotel, with 24hr front desk which came in handy as our flight arrived late in the evening. Our bedroom (I think they might have kindly upgraded us to a double instead of two twins) had a massive bathroom attached and another living room with a pull-out bed that was flimsy (so we didn't use) and access to the massive patio where we befriended a local cat. There were plenty of towels and a waterfall showerhead. The tv didn't work properly, it kept cutting audio/video. They also didn't have an iron nor breakfast even though the ad and key card holder mentioned breakfast.

We got this for only one night as we flew in to Faro and were headed to Lagos the next morning, the hotel was close to the airport.
