Breakfast was made with love and we appreciated all the different options incl. Vegan (we did not order Vegan but love that it was offered). The other thing that we really appreciated is the focus on sustainability and the community outreach. This little business is a gem with a heart. We can’t recommend this highly enough. Sunlight House is a gem of a find. an easy walk to the old town and main town centre with some great recommendations on their website. Our room was very quiet, clean and comfortable and we will certainly return next time we visit Faro.

This is a wonderful B&B! Aesthetically charming! Located centrally to downtown Faro, restaurants, beach ferries and excursions. The staff were helpful, attentive and very hospitable. The room was quaint and well kept. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious and just add these beautiful flowers the garnish the plate.

This was a great place to stay for 1 night before heading back home from the Faro airport. The room and bathroom were both small but it was clean and comfortable. Our room had its own small terrace and there was a very nice rooftop terrace to enjoy the sunset. We left early so did not have breakfast but the breakfast room was very nice. This is well located at the old town and everything was within walking distance. There is free parking near the accommodation that was very busy but we found one of the few available spots. The Faro airport is about 15 minutes away. I would recommend Sunlight House.

Unfortunately, the room smelled so strongly of mildew and mold that I had an asthma attack and had to leave within 1 hour of checking in. The reception was completely unhelpful and said I was not entitled to any refund after pre-paying for three days. The receptionist even denied there was any mildew / mold and blamed me by saying I didn’t know what it was like living next to the ocean and that it is normal to have moisture in the room. (I am from Atlantic Canada, where I lived directly beside the ocean for many years, and never had to deal with this mold.)
Expedia is working on this issue for me.

Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms are quaint a little tight (but that is to be expected of a European hotel). Our only complaint is that the walls were a little thin so we could easily hear guests coming and going. However for the most part people were pretty quite.

Highly recommended for an overnight stop
We had a single night in Sunlight House between landing at the airport and travelling onwards from Faro station. Sunlight House is in the perfect place to explore the old town on foot and be able to walk to the station. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved being given a map and recommendations, and eating breakfast on the roof terrace. It was so helpful that they were able to look after our luggage. The room was basic, but that's what we paid for.

Brilliant location.
Iris is a lovely spacious apartment. We arrived very late due to flight delays and the staff could not have been more helpful in staying open for us. Very warm welcome and great advice on things to do. Rooftop terrace and dining area is truly stunning and the restaurant staff could not have been friendlier and served us some delicious food at breakfast. Only small thing to be aware of is that the hall of Faro centre basically sits underneath the flight path for the airport and as such some aircraft noise is unavoidable but that does not just relate to this property, it would be relevant anywhere in central Faro.

This was an aptly named bed and breakfast accommodation since my room was bathed in sunlight owing to the large window. Sunlight house is centrally located in Faro only a short walk to the historic core of the city, My room was bright and spacious with a private bathroom. There was ample free public parking just steps away for my rent a car. The included breakfasts were of high quality and the staff were all courteous and professional - highly recommended when staying in Faro

A wonderful find so near to the Old Town
I needed somewhere in Faro to stay overnight whilst waiting for a flight home. I looked and found the Sunlight House B&B which looked ideal die to it's proximity to the old town and value for money. From the greeting at the door, to the explanation of nearby attractions, to being taken to the room, the young man was delightful (unfortunately I did not catch his name). Amazing. Our room was comfortable and the location is excellent, just one block from the old city and free parking is available. Phillips and Marius were delightful hosts. Phillips met us on arrival. There is a huge rooftop room and outdoor deck where you can relax, sip wine and enjoy the stars. The breakfast is huge and amazing. One of the best air b&b ever!

We loved staying at Sunlight House! It’s in a great location right next to the old town and a close (~10-15min) walk to the bus and train station. The breakfast is more than enough and they even packed us a breakfast for our early morning flight. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We started off on the wrong foot for when we arrived there was no one there. We had to wait for 30 minutes in the rain until one of the guests heard us knocking and opened up for us. However, from the moment we recieved our room we realized how amazing this place is! It is clean, the rooms are spacious, there is hitting and it is simply soothing and lovely. Breakfast on the terrace was really tasty and nicely served. We had an absolutely woNderful stay. Wish we could stay more than one night! I really recommend you would let them know your time of arrival:)

This delightful B&B is located just outside the walls of the old town. Our hosts were very accommodating - gave us information on the town as soon as we arrived and allowed us to leave our bags there for the day and come back inside to wait on their lovely terrace for our taxi.
