Lovely bargain hotel, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus station, and easy to walk into the Old Town and Marina within 10 minutes, the area around the hotel is very scruffy with derelict buildings and busy side streets, but the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and great value for money. reception staff speak really good English and very helpful and friendly, we could book in at 12pm. rooms are quite small, but beds and pillows really comfy, everything spotlessly clean, and we paid £67 for a twin room with breakfast for 2 and the breakfast was really good value, with plenty of hot and cold choices and G/F rolls and cakes. perfect hotel for a few days exploring Faro.

I didn’t realize the booking was only 1 person by default so was charged additional 20 euros cash for my son who was staying in the same twin room. When I checked online it was the same price regardless if one or two people. Total scam. When I asked about the game room mentioned on the listing was told an emphatic NO, hotel did not have one. This hotel has work to do on their listing. Room was clean and as pictured.

The property was clean but they have a bad smell problem coming from the bathroom. I couldn’t sleep due to the smell. The bathroom was basically out of service all the time. I was scared to go in. I complained but they said they were fully booked and had no other room. The room is worth the money due to cleanliness but the smell made me feel like running away. If you are European and are use to sewage smell this will not bother you. Lastly they said don’t smoke in the balcony and everyone was smoking when I stepped out which was annoying.

It was a lovely hotel very small but perfect for the calm and peaceful atmosphere of Faro. The staff were lovely and very helpful when we asked questions and gave great advice on things to do. They suggested activities like the boat tour (which was amazing and i definitely suggest for people visiting if you like to learn about local geography and local people) and restaurants to visit (I can’t remember the name but there is a lovely Mexican restaurant in the town). There was no gym facilities but they helped us locate a nearby one.

This is a lovely little hotel ideally situated for exploring Faro as well as being close to both the train and bus stations. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the shower is big and powerful. The beds and pillows are very firm so will take a bit of getting used to if you are used to something softer. Breakfast is an option for 9 euros and there is plenty of variety - both hot and cold choices
Overall the stay was great and would happily stay again

We had a lovely night in the hotel after arriving in Faro. Our family room was on the top floor and we had views towards the airport. It was very quiet and it had two separate rooms for us and our teenage children. We would stay again.

After initial concern re procedure for late checkin (slow response to messages) caused stress due to delay at passport control. Despite this, on calling reception, i had excellent clear service. Clean modern room. Good breakfast. Near old town, don't be put off by the areas 'old town' buildings. Would come again

Convenient Location and Friendly Staff, but Misleading Room Description

I recently stayed at this hotel and found its location to be very convenient — just a short walk from the city centre. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff I spoke with were courteous and helpful.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was impacted by several issues, primarily related to misleading information in the room listing. The room I booked was advertised with a beautiful sea view, but in reality, it overlooked a derelict building. When I raised this at reception, I was informed that only a few family rooms have views. On checkout, I brought up the issue again and was told that room assignments are based on availability and that \"you get the room you are given.\" It was disappointing to later see responses to other reviews where the hotel admitted that no rooms actually have sea views — a clear case of misrepresentation.

Additionally, the listing states that the hotel has a bar, which is not accurate; there is only a vending machine available. The rooms are also advertised as soundproofed, but I experienced a significant amount of noise from both foot traffic in the hallways and street traffic from the main road outside.

While the staff and breakfast were highlights, the inaccurate and misleading descriptions of the amenities and room views left me dissatisfied with my stay. Transparency in advertising would go a long way in improving the guest experience.

Room was ready before check in time which was great & could use hotel facilities before check in & after checkout.

Good selection of items for breakfast.

Close to bus stops & train station, 10mins to main shopping, eating, siteseeing area.

Only negative is outlook directly outside hotel if on lower floors, but positives far outweigh it.

Would definately recommend.

The hotel is recently renovated in smoothing colors. Very attractive. It’s located about 10-15 walk from historic center. But the room was small and had a window/door facing an enclosed room with a small sky light which was 4 stories up. I found it claustrophobic. Also area was rundown. I had a car. No hotel parking and available street parking was difficult to find. I would not return.

We checked out early due to the misleading posting of the room itself.

When you look at the pictures of the room, not only do the pictures distort the size of the room to make it look bigger than it is, but the pictures also show the room with beachfront views for the room I booked but it's actually not. The hotel itself is centrally located, surrounded by abandoned and under construction buildings, it's also over 10 miles from the beach, which means each picture has been photoshopped to mislead travelers into booking at the hotel. In addition to this we requested additional pillows for my pregnant partner at 1st the front desk was unwilling to accommodate but I was able to speak with someone on staff who was kind enough to accommodate, however the pillow itself had a blood stain on it.

The rooms that are considered larger are located on a side of the hotel with no lift, which means you're going to have to go up multiple flights of stairs with luggage just to get to your room. The side with the lift barely works and actually momentarily got stuck on the 4th floor with us inside of it.

When expressing my concerns with the front desk on 2 occasions, I was told to contact Expedia about my concerns, when I did they were super helpful but were also unable to reach a resolution with the property management company when they called.

When speaking again with the front desk, I was met with a condescending attitude when trying to reach a resolution and have been refused a refund.

I have few postive and negative remarks about this hotel.I booked for the view as on the pictures was overseing the marina but we were given a room where the view was horrible derelict building outside and adjacent to the room so had to keep blinds closed mostly.Room was clean and close walk to transport and attractions.women from the reception were friendly and helpful.will be good to have a mirror in the room and a kettle with coffee and tea so hotel should consider and also for someone staying as long as us like 4 days need to give them a good view as advertised on the sites ,bit dissapointed with the view and bathroom floor was wooden as the bedroom so water was going everywhere as they had a flimy curtain between the shower and the toilet.

Perfect stay in Faro

There are a lot of places to stay in Faro, but I’ll choose Made Inn again for my next stay. The location is an easy 5 minute walk to the train, buses, city center and Marina. But I liked that it was not right in the center, because it’s nice to have some quiet when ready to sleep.
The entire place has been tastefully renovated, and I personally liked the flooring, tile, fixtures, furnishings. Even the pillows were more comfortable to me, than any I’d had at other hotels on this vacation. The breakfast was excellent. I appreciated that the owner was on site during the day, and you could feel the pride he had in the Inn he has created. The place was absolutely and totally clean as new. I got a welcome email before arriving, to help the hotel best prepare for my arrival, and I don’t recall ever having that from any other hotel. A real effort from every staff member to see to it that my stay was excellent. I only wish I had more time there, but I’ll be back.

Convenient to bus and train and old town harbor

Exceptionally clean, small hotel with 4 block flat walk to hotel from bus and train station and the old town/ harbor area. Modern, Double rooms are small but more than adequate. AC is loud, and you can hear people closing doors, but didn’t bother me- just an observation. Easy bus line 16 to this area from airport. Easy walk to harbor and restaurants and shopping/. 4 ish blocks toward harbor. Breakfast looked fine. Reception is efficient. Would stay here again.

The property is a comfortable walking distance to both the bus and train stations, and only 10 minutes to the marina. The hotel was clean and well decorated, and the bed was comfortable.

The service was generally okay with the young lady in reception and the young lady in the breakfast room both being very friendly. Others, whilst polite, were did not go out of their way to be helpful.

The room was small, which was expected, but the mirror was inside the wardrobe and the room was so small you couldn’t fully open the door to use it. There was also no storage space in the bathroom, so toiletries had to be propped up around the sink.

The main issue was with the smell in the hotel, there was a constant smell of sewage coming up in the bathroom. I reported it on the first day and they send a cleaner in, which just masked the smell for a few hours, but it came back again the next morning. I’m not sure if this is an issue throughout the hotel, but it was very unpleasant in room 8.

2. Extra towels - one smallish bath towel is not enough

Sold a room which does not exist and charged more

Terrible experience in this hotel, mostly to do with Hotels.com advertising a 20 sq ft double bedroom which does not exist , and charging more for it than a standard 12 sq ft room that you are put in. No other booking site advertises this room size so why is Hotels.com, this is false advertising.12 sq ft double room is far too small for anymore than a nights stay so be warned. Still waiting on refund from hotels.com who's customer service is terribly slow.

The description is inaccurate, no lift we had to carry 3 large heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Site says it has a bar, incorrect all they have is a vending machine. Outdoor pictures very misleading, surrounded by derelict buildings, did not feel that safe at night walking back to hotel. Rooms are clean and modern but air conditioning took 7 hours to reduce by 3 degrees. Bit warm

We stayed for a week in June 2024. Upgraded on arrival from a double room to a suite. Patio door and 3 large windows opened 2 ways, air circulation and light were great, with blackout curtains as well. Newly renovated, sound-proofed, beautiful property, within easy walking distance of everything. Staff was helpful and accommodating, and available until late in the evening. The amenities mention an elevator…we saw no evidence of it. And the room could use another mirror besides the one in the bathroom - mentioned it to management on arrival. The patio had only 1 chair but they gave us another when we asked. Would absolutely stay here again!!

2 nights in Faro - family trip

Hotel was great. Very eco friendly. Friendly staff. Check in / out was simple. Room was clean but pretty basic but did have a TV although no fridge or safe. Beds were comfy, we asked for extra pillows which we were given. We didn’t have breakfast included but we didn’t go in for breakfast. Check out Chelsea breakfast, it’s about a 10 minute walk. We were also able to leave bags as our flight wasn’t until 8:50pm and check out was noon.

This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from old town Faro. If you walk down the back streets there are lots of abandoned buildings or buildings being renovated. To be honest, it does look a little war torn Bosnia. With that being said, take a right out of the hotel and a left and you are on the main road to the the town.

The town is well connected, there are buses, a train station and even a ferry that goes across to a beach on the other side of the water. We took the bus to Faro from Sevilla for a two night break and then flew back to liverpool from Faro. We didn’t venture that far out as we were only there two days but there’s not loads to do in the place where we were, you’d definitely have to have some plans and just use the hotel as a base. Uber to airport was €6, another bonus!

Over priced and disappointing

For the price paid very disappointing.
1. Terrible smell of drains in barhroom always. This made its way into room some days and was very unpleasant. Despitr informing hotel nothing was done to address this.
2. No staff afrer 11.30pm. Several nights the electricity cut for the entire hotel no aircon, no lights etc. This was only restored when staff came in each morning at 7am.
3. Room was not cleaned on one night of our stay despite receptionist telling us the cleaner was still working and it would be done. When we informed same receptionist no apology or reason offered.

Totally over priced for level of service offered. Would not stay again.
