This hotel will pamper you with personal service. My room happened to have a whirlpool bath and a porch that led directly to the pool. They'll cook practically whatever you desire for breakfast. And the staff knew where the best spots were to find street parking, which can be an issue in the area. The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see in Faro. The only two small criticisms I might have: most hotels of this caliber will leave a couple of complimentary bottles of water in the room, but here they charge 2.50 euros for a 33cl bottle in the fridge. Fortunately, a block down the street you can buy a 50cl bottle for 50 cents. Also, in some future renovation, they might replace the twenty-something inch TV on the wall with a bigger one (they're not that expensive these days).

Booked for my husband and his friend and they sadly weren't there long as their flight in was delayed and it was only a one night stay.
But communication about the late arrival was excellent , especially the video on how to get in after hours both into the hotel and into their rooms.
If you need a place close to the airport , would highly recommend

We had a big outdoor terrace overlooking the pool and it was a really nice relaxing place to hang out. The property is spread across two entrance doors, which I found a bit odd, but generally this is a great place to spend time in Faro. Sorry we missed the port tasting though!

Absolutely an amazing place to stay! The staff are very attentive and are there to help in anyway. They are awesome!! When you leave for the day, on your return, the room is made up with fresh towels. The location is brilliant with everything close at hand and minutes away from historical sites, restaurants and transportation. It also has a small pool within a very private oasis in the rear of the small hotel/ guest house. We used this a few times after a busy day of exploring. There is breakfast on offer but we chose to eat out. All in all a fabulous place to stay for myself and my wife. We enjoyed Faro immensely and will definitely return in the future to do more exploring. We would stay again at this beautiful luxury guest house. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. Great location, nice and central to the marina and old town (less than 10 mins walk). The interior is characterful and had recently been refurbished so everything was clean and fresh. In particular the bathroom was spotless and had a great shower. All the staff were great, particularly Rima the housekeeper - she was amazing, helpful and polite.

We had a wonderful stay here while in Faro. The staff was exceptional, so friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We arrived late and they were gaciosi enough to allow us a late check out as well.
Our room was very nice, very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. I liked the nautical theme decor. The bed was so comfortable, lovely linens and towels, and we had a patio overlooking the pool. The room had a nice jacuzzi as well as lots of other toiletries, slippers and nice touches. We really enjoyed the stay here and highly, highly recommend opus one! Excellent location, less than 5 minutes walking to the historical center and marina and close to many shops and restaurants. Only 5 min from the train stations. So glad we decided to stay here. A great value for the price and a wonderful repriced from the hustle of Lisbon.

This guest house was amazing. It was clean, like really clean. You can tell how much love goes into what they do. The room was lovely, I had an adjoining lounge room and everything was pristine. My room was on the ground floor next to the dining area and there was a group in so it was very loud, much louder than you would expect. It didn’t really bother me as I wasn’t trying to sleep and it ended around 11pm but It would have definitely woke someone sleeping. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was told there was some problem with the pool so it wasn’t working, this didn’t bother me as I didn’t intend on using the pool. The shower products were outside the bathroom in a separate sink area which was a bit inconvenient. I didn’t realise until I got into the shower so had to go out to get them. One of them was actually attached to the wall so I had to unscrew the lid to get it out and take it into the shower. Breakfast was lovely and definitely worth the extra £20, there was fresh fruit, platter with cold meats and some bread and jams. I was offered yoghurt which I had. The guesthouse was in a great location. They had some lovely relaxing music on all the time, the only thing I would say about this was it seemed to be on a small loop so was very repetitive.

Overall I thing the love, care and in the main, the attention that went into this guest house was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Wanted a place to stay for a few days in Faro, couldn’t have picked a better place. Went for the upgraded room with balcony and whirlpool bath and no regrets, perfect room, very quiet and comfy. We booked this hotel for our young adult daughter. Her plane got diverted and finally landed in Faro close to midnight and the hotel was so very accommodating and were still able to provide paid shuttle service. My daughter was more than happy with the room for being clean, spacious and comfy bed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was easily walkable to shopping and dining in addition to the bus and train stations. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a large balconly overlooking the pool. We enjoyed both the pool (although it was a little cool for my taste) and the pool table quite frequently. Additionally, the staff was kind and gracious. I only gave a 4 out of 5 rating because the property itself needs a little TLC with some refurbishing projects which, as explained to us, the new owners are quite well aware of and have plans to address soon. All that aside, i would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area.

This boutique hotel is situated on a quiet street, but there is a hostel right next door. There was noise but they quieted down after 10pm. The hotel itself has a serene vibe, which I liked. There is a pool, bar, and lounging area. My room came with a balcony which overlooked the pool.

My main issue with this hotel is: the bed is hard and uncomfortable, some of the pillow covers are stained (I am not sure if they switch out the covers between guests), the sheets are pilled (so rough and bumpy), and there isn’t a comforter, just a thin sheet for cover.

And I had almost no WiFi in my room. The concierge gave me a different WiFi to try but the connection was still unstable.

The concierge was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave me recommendations on what to do and where to go.

Overall, I don’t like to complain about the hotels I’ve stayed at, but felt like I need to share in this case. The price per night is the same as the hotels I’ve stayed in Lisbon, but the quality of this hotel’s rooms, amenities, and cleanliness pales in comparison.

Originally, we were a little cautious booking this guesthouse, as it was in a similar price bracket to the hostels nearby. However, the vast amount of good reviews sold it to us and now I can see why they're so good!

Our stay was faultless, and I really don't think the pictures online do it justice. We were given a warm welcome, allowed to check-in early and were allocated a beautiful space, complete with a separate living area and indoor jacuzzi.

We were on the ground floor and had direct access to the well-looked after pool. Despite being next to the pool and restaurant, there were very little disturbances and it still felt private.

My only minor point is that the wifi wasn't great and the jacuzzi was very temperamental (but we weren't expecting a jacuzzi at all so I can't complain too much).

Overall, a great stay from start to finish, and excellent value for money. You won't regret booking this place!

Faro is a small town, emphasis on small, and very walkable. Our stay was great, no complaints at all. We had no issues checking in, the front desk was able to communicate with us via whatsapp which was very convenient, our room was comfortable and included a mini fridge. The location was perfect for us, close to the train station, bus station and airport. I would stay here again!

As we drove in I became nervous due to the area (first time in Faro and it was dark) but was quickly relieved and felt safe and at home when greeted by the manager who helped us carry all our luggage in and get us settled. It had a fantastic homely feel to it, our rooms were cleaned daily and the location is brilliant I came to learn! The owners are also very kind people which reflects on their business. We also stayed with our dog who was very welcome. Thank you for the lovely hospitality!

An ok stay, but a few changes required.

Nicely decorated, large room with balcony. The beds are a bit uncomfortable. They are very hard and there is no choice of pillow. These were also very hard and thick. Also, there wasn’t a choice at breakfast. You are basically given fruit, meats, cheeses and bread. It is all presented very nicely, but you don’t have any options.

Lovely team running it. Amazing location - 10 minute uber from the airport and a 5 minute walk into Faro centre - which is great. The place itself was clearly once very nice, but requires refurbishing and basic maintenance. That said, it looks like the current owners are doing that, and I felt it will return to a higher standard. I would return, and would recommend on its location and service, just making aware it is by no means perfect right now, but hope it will be again soon.

Not luxury spa as advertised and other problems

The late access was satisfactory, as a staff member was helpful. However, after that, the air conditioning malfunctioned due to depleted battery power, which could be replaced. Upon waking in the morning, we discovered that our balcony was littered with items of storage, and a plate glass was dangerously leaning across the front. Furthermore, we were unable to make coffee using coffee capsules, there was no soap in the hand basin dispenser, and the toilet seat was broken. Additionally, there was mould around the shower. The so-called spa pool was green, and the jacuzzi was covered. There was no staff present. We decided to leave the hotel, leaving our keys behind. As we exited, a dog greeted us at the door, barking and growling. When the dog ran towards us, we made an exit through a different door, the only staff members was cleaners. This establishment did not meet the standards of a luxury spa. Despite our attempts to give them a chance to rectify the situation, they chose not to contact us.

We did not receive communication from the hotel until after the date of our stay had passed. We had nowhere to stay in Faro when we couldn’t gain access to the property and had to pay for taxis to and from the airport and then source alternate accommodation in Vilamoura at an additional cost. Hotels.com have been no help either.

Horrible, paid but no one open the door

Even I paid for the hotel, no one opened the door. We have to find another place to stay for the night. I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID NOT REFUNDABLE. It is unacceptable!! The door was locked and we knocked a lot of times. Leaving us stranded even we had paid for the hotel which is disrespectful.

Location of guest house is quite close to the Train station and also downtown/Old Town. Within walking distance of all that you want to visit. Shower in our room was quite tight and the shower door was hard to close. The bed was two twins pushed together and the mattress was very hard. Breakfast was minimal/continental, no buffet. The bread served was stale. Probably will not stay here again.

We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay

This is nothing close to luxury... The pool is not as advertised - it's a big outdoor wading pool and the hot tub is some moldy old thing like my parents had - 40 years ago. As others mentioned they repair or replace nothing. It's true they can't even fix the toilet seat - but it wrong shape., brrrr brrrr.. it does get cold in early spring - they oops forgot to turn breaker onm, yea right. The breakfast was not as advertised - old cheese, stale bread, overwripe fruit - I don't care if they served it-when they called my phone they asked if I would be having the cheese tasting at night and be back for lunch.. I had read the menu - sounded like same type of horrible food and wayyyyy overpriced _ they didn't get me on this. I froze.. left hungry and disappointed but I went elsewhere to eat. I would not in any manner have the audacity to call this luxury. I think they only cater to the loads of overwhelming British tourists in summer and fill them full of overpriced drinks & food. Everything bad that has been written is true.

Toilet seat., heat., drinks. Pool. Oh I saw reviews about door locks & can't get in (I experienced it myself a couple times) but when it was checkout & time to leave I made sure I had door jammed open in case it tried to trap another in and miss their flight or train

This place offers a unique, high quality experience with excellent wine choices and absolutely delicious food. The hosts go out of their way to really make their guests feel welcome and have a memorable experience. My husband and I loved staying here from swimming in the pool and enjoying the wonderful wines and foods while dinner for dinner there. Highly recommended staying here if you are in the Faro area.

This hotel may have seemed luxurious when it was first opened but the rooms have not been properly maintained. Both of our rooms had various issues including deck doors not functioning correctly, the area surrounding the bathtub being totally water damaged (who surrounds a tub with wood instead of tile? illogical) (also the height of the tub and the width of the tub lip/surround, coupled with the insanely sharp edge of the wood, made it incredibly dangerous to get in and out of), faucets leaking, etc.
Breakfast was OK mostly due to service. The food itself was quite tasty and varied. It would have been rather great if they offered it buffet style instead of serving each individual a separate plate for each item. We saw *so* much food go to waste as most people left the majority of all the small plates barely touched, and didn't feel comfortable asking for more of the foods we liked because we weren't sure if supply was limited. Plus, service was incredibly slow. We totally understand it's Portugal, it's very laid back and relaxed, and that's great, but it would be nice to get the coffee one asks for within 30 mins of ordering it.
