The AC/Heat in our room was not working, we were late checking in and there were no maintenance staff available so we needed to be moved. The new room was nice except the sink drain stopper would not stay up. Overall the building is showing signs of wear. The breakfast was very simple, nothing special. Coffee was good and staff were helpful. The pool area was not something I would consider using, it did not appear clean or maintained.

Several items were not well stocked in the room (conditioner was empty, facial tissue had only one tissue left), the sink was missing it's stopper so I was worried I'd lose something down the drain, there was sand on one of the beds and a red stain on a bed skirt that looked like blood, the mini fridge froze all of my items so I could not drink my beverages, breakfast was very meh, the waffle batter dispenser was broken and the attendant was accusatory and rude to my friend. The pool was fun, but the shower handle was broken and both pool side bathrooms were out of order. Which meant you had to drip down the hall past the lobby or back to your room if you didn't want to pee in the pool. I'm guessing that pool water is extra tainted.
The bed was comfortable, the inner sheets were clean, the soap smelled good, we felt safe, the price was cheap. This hotel needs a lot of TLC and we won't be staying here again when we come to Rochester. We picked this hotel because the price was excellently low with \"good\" (7/10) reviews, the reviews did not match our experience. I would rate this hotel 5/10.

I didn’t care much for their breakfast, but it was well attended, the gentleman taking care of it was on the ball. It just wasn’t good and lacked options. Clean room, good coffee maker in the room. Great front desk lady, she was fantastic.

It feels like a motel but a higher end motel if I may. The room is spacious, there are light fixtures that are broken and holes in the walls but for one night, it’s perfectly fine. The pool was nice, the kids loved it. The breakfast was good. It’s a decent place if you’re planning on staying one night.

There were stains on the curtains and pillow cases, there was food left in the fridge. Kind of sad we were tired and did not complain to staff. I probably will not stay there again.

There was tape over the elevator buttons and people were randomly drinking in the lobby

In a place were the competition is high you would think they would be a higher station and professional level.

There was incense burning in the lobby to cover the smell of weed .

Don't stay here if you have high to average expectations for what a hotel should be. This property is in serious need of some TLC. Our room was dirty and run down. The elevator button on the 4th floor had a cover plate that was too small, so you could see the wires behind on one side, and the plate was taped onto the wall on the other side. Our lamp shades were dirty, one lamp was broken, the curtains were filthy, there was a crack in the ceiling, and the walls were dirty. Our room was advertised as sleeping 7 on Expedia, but it only slept 6. The desk attendant said they didn't have any cots, and the room only slept 6. A lot of the dryers in the laundry room were marked \"out of order\" and our dryer was stealing our quarters. The desk attendant ended up putting an \"out of order\" sign on our dryer as well.

I did not use the gym, but again the heater in the room was very noisy hard to sleep, and then the heater would stop working and only blow cold air, I had to shut the heater off for a while turn it back on. And then the TV went out so I was about a day without the TV and the breakfast was not very good

The biggest thing I noticed was the staff was so friendly any questions we had they went and found out the answer. If they did not know it I had a little dog and there was plenty of places to take him outside for a walk. Also the Laquinta was very close to the Mayo. So convenient. And nice eating place close by. I would recommend the Laquinta for sure.

I am frequently in the Rochester area for appointments at the Mayo Clinic. I have stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but have decided to keep coming back to the La Quinta Inn because of room cleanliness, affordability, and the option to bring my pup along with me. The staff is always friendly. The room is always clean. Thank you!

not the best handiwork in the room. the headboard was visibly crooked and the door was not squared so had to make sure it was clised fully as it wouldn't on its own.

The staff were somewhat friendly. The place is getting run down and in serious need of upkeep and detailing. The hot tub jets weren’t working and there was no sign it would be repaired. The pool rest room is “out of order” and appears to have been that way for some time. The breakfast was minimal, no change from day to day and just not very good compared to another LaQuinta I just visited. Hand-written signs on doors just look lazy. The lobby has an unpleasant odor to it. Chipped paint, rusty vent grates and damaged trim everywhere that needs attention. It could be a nice place again but it needs serious attention to detail.

I stayed here while having medical appointments at Mayo Clinic.
There were many issues.
-Room phone didn't work.
-Front desk didn't have change available to use in the laundry room.
-None of the washers or dryers worked anyway.
-The sign on each machine said \"out of order\"
-Room was not cleaned/stocked daily. I had to go to the front desk to request clean towels.
-The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet which was problematic.
-English was a second language for almost all of the employees. One exception was the very helpful front desk lady who I was very appreciative of.
-The continental breakfast was minimal and rushed. They had a strict time of opening and closing the room.
-They also did NOT honor the cancellation policy as stated on their Expedia ad.
I ended up paying for a room for several days that I was in the hospital. Avoid La Quinta...
-The Expedia ad listed the hotel as \"pet friendly\"
-The sign at the front desk said \"No pets allowed.\"
Expedia wasn't helpful with any of my concerns either.
Unfortunately Expedia lets their Hotels make false/misleading statements on their search engine.
This is disappointing as I used to be an Expedia fan but now will find an alternate travel site to book my travel.
-I recommend avoiding Expedia and finding a different travel site.

For what we paid, this was a very good hotel. The baby pool was perfect for my 2 year old granddaughter. The pools were both heated, which was great! The breakfast was good. Staff from the front desk to the guy in the breakfast room, to the guys cleaning all of the time were very, very kind and friendly!! Will stay again for sure!

The bathroom needed to be cleaned a bit better, shower walls had soap scumb on them, there was hair all over in the tub. The toilet needs to have a new flapper and handle put on as it didn’t stop running unless I held the flapper down so water could build up then it would fill and stop running. The sink faucet has a lot of hard water build up. I found bolts on the floor from the bed frame under the bed. The curtains could be replaced as there were lots of holes in them. The heater/air unit in the room didn’t blow much when it was on high.
Staff were friendly but I really didn’t need to interact with them other than checking in and out.
The hot tube could be a bit warmer, felt like bathtube water. There were only bath mats that were being used for towels in the pool area.
I do have to say it was nice that there was a keurig coffee maker in the room. Maybe offer some flavored coffee creamers....like Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Amaretto.
Parking was a bit tight! They should expand some. There were many cars parked along the enterance due to shortage of spots.
I'm not much of a breakfast/morning person so I didn't take advantage of that.
Elevators were nice and big to easily fit a roller cart in with your belongings.
The Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Hand Soap and Lotion all smelled Amazing!
There could be dirty Laundry bags in the rooms for wet suits.
There was a good choice of snacks in the lobby are, however there needs to be popcorn. Overall not a bad hotel!

Clean comfortable room and the breakfast was nice, not a huge selection but good. The pool area is nice with a seperate pool, hot tub and area for children.
The location is very convenient to shops, the airport, good dining, and yet quiet because your not in town. Its still close enought to Mayo and St. Marys.
My new go to spot when we come back to see family.

The employee at Breakfast was diligent, hard working and
moved about the dining area in attempt to see that everyone was being served and to to see if all diners were well cared for.
The large dresser drawer in the bedroom would open in the night and was a hazard to anyone attempting to go to the bathroom. It was definitely a danger to the guest who could have been hurt. Spoke to the manager about this prior to leaving.. My husband and I are tall and the room had a very low toilet. We requested a riser but was told
by the desk clerk that he could not get a riser but one could be delivered the following day This did not happen.
.The two wastbaskets werre very tiny and could not hold
the waste since they were not emptied daily

Cockroach infested and ants in room. When i asked for refund they had told me they will refund me if i dont post any reviews on google or social media. Well i think people should know about it and not hide that. Gross
My family and i have stayed there plenty of times with previous owners and now with the new owners will never stat there again. Dont stay there unless u want ur property infested with roaches. Pictures are in the post.

The cable television was not working for over three hours. The heat/AC wall unit was not in working order in my room. They had to send a technician to fix it. The wifi was weak and internet could not be used without my hot spot.

The room had fresh blood on the carpet which I stepped in. There was fresh blood on all of the towels, toilet paper and walls. We switched rooms and there was blood on all of the towels and toilet paper again. On top of the blood there was hair in the beds, an iPad under the bed among trash. I would like a refund as our health was put in danger. It was very late when we arrived and had no choice but to stay after driving a moving truck 11 hours.
