My daughter and I stayed in a queen studio for a 3-day dance competition (only a quick 10 minute drive to the Civic Center👍) The entire complex is very clean and our room was too. We really enjoyed having a kitchen with a full sized fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, full set of CLEAN silverware, and enough well kept utensils/cookware to make a few meals together. We didn’t bring our dog along but there was even an outdoor space on our floor for pets.
Because it’s also an apartment complex, no room service BUT having the Red Cow restaurant attached and a small convenience store was awesome!
Parking was a breeze with the attached garage. Plenty of spaces for hotel guests. Keyless entry via ‘door’ app was very convenient as well. We’ve stayed at more expensive hotels in town with a far less pleasing experience. We will definitely be back!

The Berkman is a very modern hotel. Wonderful for short or long term stays. Rooms are well insulated, you don’t hear your neighbors. We had a one bedroom suite. Very nice kitchen facilities, fully equipped. Comfy bed and sofa. Nice balcony. Dog friendly, sixth floor has a dog relief area and even a dog bath.

This is a wonderful, comfortable space. My mom was hospitalized at St. Mary’s and I was able to run back over within 5 minutes when I needed to. It was so nice to have a cozy welcoming space during the chaos of having someone hospitalized.

A previous guest laid down the biggest sweat stains you’ve ever smelled in your life. Pillows and mattress were so disgusting, I thought perhaps someone had a serious health event in the room. It’s across the street from the hospital. I called the manager the next day because I thought maybe they would make it right in some small way. The manager called and left a voicemail and I returned the call and never heard from him again. One of 10.

You can comfortably control the temperature to suit your needs. The environment is tranquil and soothing, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The Mayo Clinic for surgery and inpatient care is thoughtfully located away from the road for added tranquility. If you wish to visit the main hospital, convenient shuttles run throughout the day. Room did not stay cool. Had problems sleeping at night.
Bathtub: It was difficult getting in and out due to the height of the tub. I do not have any medical issues that prevent mobility. Upon getting out, I fell.
Mattress: It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring mattress.
Upon arrival: I arrived earlier than expected. As a result, I waited in the lobby for 4 hours. There was poor communication from the front desk when room would be ready. I was told just to wait in the lobby. Not sure what VIP means, but was lacking overall experience.

Looks cool but not comfortable

The property is really cool. Overall decent decor and vibe. But the beds were horrible. Our king bed dipped in the middle. Thin mattress and slept at an ag angle. Also tired tiger bed and same experience. No cushion pillows were nothing and very cheap beds.

As a matter solo blind patient of the Mayo Cinic, Rochester, this property although a little pricey is far superior than most. It is both charming and elegant at the same time without feeling clinical being so close to the St. Mary’s Campus. It was great to get good food from the Red Cow and we also ordered from Waiter’s Express and enjoyed wonderful food from several other local restaurants.

Mayo visit, very relaxing location. This is next to Mayo St Mary’s Hospital. The parking was temperature controlled, the weather was -10, so this was a bonus. We used a shuttle to get to Mayo building, the shuttle is extremely busy after 3pm. There was quite a wait. The room was roomy, laundry, large bathroom with tub, we were on floor 6. We will go there on our next visit.

Location and staff were very good. Where my expectations were let down: I didn't know how to make the drip coffee and we only had one whole bean packet..no tea. The literature about amenities and cable guide was outdated/incorrect. The 4th floor space was never stocked with coffee. The sitting chairs in the room were not at all comfortable. Glad I only had a two day stay.
