Everyone was nice, the room was clean & the location perfect. I loved having a balcony. I didn’t like that the hallway light didn’t work well and that you had to walk through in the dark and that you could see laundry when you first walk in but it’s a small hotel perhaps they don’t have much space anywhere else. The room was cute though.

Love the location. Close to everything in the UNESCO quarter. Best coffees and best restaurants are just a few min away or next door. Hotel staffs are nice. Our room is small on the first floor. I actually like it because it is quieter than 2nd floor. Our room has air conditioner which is a much have for hot Panama weather. Although no breakfast, ice water is available all day and morning coffee is very good.

We had two rooms…both smelled but one clearly had a water issue and smelled like mildew and mold. When we inquired we learned that in the room above there was a HUGE water leak in the ceiling. This was affecting the room below which they had given us. The manager was not on property but offered us to cancel the room before midnight otherwise fees would be incurred. Mind you this was at 8 pm during carnival. There were no other hotels with a last minute even closely reasonable rates at that point. We had to sleep four people in a room meant for three because of the issue. Some of the people in our party have lung issues and we couldn’t risk a longer term issue. The hotel also neglected to mention that on their roof they have a club which stays open till after 2 am. So Saturday night there was no sleeping till well after 2 am because we might as well have been in the club with them.

If you like to stay out late and party this hotel is for you. It’s beautiful, in a great location and clean. However, this is not for people with early bedtimes like us non-partying adults and families. We were up until 3 am from the rooftop bar music or people loudly complaining in the open lobby about the loud music. Also the pool is in the bar and has decorations floating in it. I can’t imagine anyone swimming in it but I’d kinda like to see someone try. I highly anticipate the bar would ask you to leave.

The rooms were very tired and not very clean. Concrete floors, towels were very hard, no phone in the room to call desk, we had to beg for ice, the noise from the street and from the roof top bar was hard to have a decent night sleep. The wifi was cutting in and out and the tv was on a timer and shut down while we wetr watching a program. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room is lovely if you want no view or sunlight (nternal view means a weird window to the hallway / other rooms). It’s dark and peaceful though.
The photos of the rooftop terrace are misleading. It is a separate business and the discount is nice but you will not feel comfortable hanging out in or around the pool.
They have redone the patio and it is now a restaurant.

Our first room was louder than the worst of Las Vegas, Nevada. There is a bar above the second floor and no sound proofing. The street noise was ok given the location. Our second room was less noisy after requesting a move.

The room, hotel, location and staff were all fine. We reserved 3 nights. The worst rest/sleep. The roof top bar blares ear piercing techno music til the wee hours of the morning. After that, it sounds like furniture is being moved or dropped. Then, at the crack of dawn, the city noise, honking horns and what sounded like welding or sawing above our room. It was aweful. 3 nights of no sleep!room

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU DON’T NEED RUNNING WATER. I would have liked to post a glowing review of this hotel because it is aesthetically very cute! The location is pretty good. Right on the edge of Casco Viejo in walking distance to everything. Shops, restaurants, etc.
However, when I checked in with a group I was leading (we had 5 rooms in all) we were told the hot water wouldn’t be working for a couple of hours. Actually, at that time, the water was not working at all. My group left for a short tour and came back a few hours later. Sadly, at this time we needed to get showered and ready to go to a dinner reservation, the water was still not working! No running water, not even flushing toilets. We had to forego showers and just head upstairs to the rooftop restaurant. The restaurant bathroom also had no working water while we were up there which made us concerned about the cleanliness of the Kitchen staff.
The hotel employee basically ignored us and never gave us any information, not even his name. I had the contact of another employee who I texted with some. She was very nice and tried to help, but she was at home and there was really nothing she could do.
To make matters worse, two people in our group were sharing a room with a queen bed, but that room had such a bad leak in the ceiling that it was sagging and had visible mold. The staff switched them to another room, but that room had a very small bed for two people to share and also had a leak that dripped down

The hotel was average. The shower was never warm. It took some getting used to taking cold showers. But, otherwise it was in a very convenient location where you can walk to all attractions in Casco. There is a strong police presence so I always felt safe. Prices are expensive in this area.

Our stay was good, but this hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised. Upon check-in we were not informed of any amenities, even though there is a pool on the rooftop that can be used by guests during the day. Night/early morning receptionist guy was very friendly and helpful! Day receptionist (woman) was really hard to communicate with and we got the impression she was trying to make things more difficult for no apparent reason, ie.: we asked for a later check-out, she said she would check with her manager and text us (which she never did), as we didn’t hear back, we assumed it had been granted. Upon checking out at that time, she fought us for 5min about how late it was, implying we would have to pay extra, only to say at the end that “it was ok, she had spoken with her manager and we were all set” - really poor customer service and care. Would not stay there again.

Excelente ubicación en la misma entrada del casco viejo. Varias opciones de comida cerca. El cuarto tenia los elementos basicos necesarios, TV, wifi, nevera, secador de cabello, un par de botellas de agua y buen aire acondicionado. En la parte de arriba del hotel hay un rooftop muy lindo (aunque costoso, es mas barato en las opciones del casco). Lo único que no me gusto es que no habia agua caliente en la ducha. El dia de la llegada estaba cerrado (el personal no estaba en el área) y la chica del restaurante de la entrada nos tuvo que llamar a los de recepción y llegaron rapidisimo.

El hotel en General está ubicado en una de las mejores personas turísticas de Panamá, en el caso antiguo cerca de todo, además de qué para poder ir al museo de biodiversidad a las islas o tomar los transportes turísticos es muy conveniente

Además de esto, está ubicada justo al lado de un restaurante extraordinario y acceso a una de las mejores terrazas con una vista sensacional

El personal es muy amable, dan muy buena recomendaciones y están muy atentos las 24 horas del día

La decoración y construcción es tipo industrial, de muy buen gusto y con muy buena distribución en las habitaciones

La limpieza en general de la habitación, pudiera ser un poco mejor y adicional a eso nosotros estuvimos cinco noches de las cuales dos no nos limpiaron la habitación, pero fuera de eso en general, pienso que es una opción excelente para reservar en Panamá y disfrutar de unas buenas vacaciones

En nuestro caso personal, no nos molestan los ruidos por la noche, pero ya que está ubicado el hotel justo debajo de una terraza donde hay fiesta de fondos, se escucha un poco la música de la terraza, no es tan molesto, pero si eres muy delicado para los ruidos y poder dormir, quizá Debas considerar alguna u otra opción

Great spot unless you like hot water.

Zero hot water in either of our rooms. Staff shrugged it off. Rooms are cool. Stone walls. Interesting look to the place. Our shower had a full sized window to the main room, with curtain. Points for charm. Our AC worked, our friends did not. Hot coffee in the lobby in the morning. Good area. Felt secure.

Great location for exploring Casco Viejo close to many must see places. Excellent restaurants close by and very helpful staff.
Fresh perked coffee at 5am and a steady supply of ice water self serve style.
Unique decor and great vibe (relaxing).

Where to begin? We had 3 rooms - 2 \"balcony\", 1 \"courtyard\". Entering the hotel requires someone within to let you enter - someone eventually did, then turned and walked away. That person was the person who checked us in. Not even a \"Hola!\". Weird. The ENTIRE hotel is made of poured concrete - walls, floors, bathroom vanity/ showers - everything. I like \"industrial\" but this is more like \"bad prison chic\". A few rugs would be welcome. No hangers in one room, massive traffic noises outside the \"balcony\" rooms, The \"courtyard\" room had ZERO outlets in room (one in bathroom) and the THUMP THUMP of the club music from above. And the \"above\"! - there is indeed a pool up there but it CLOSES AT 4PM. No reason from the skeleton staff was given. I read the reviews of this place before I booked and somehow no one speaks of any of these things, other than \"conveniently located\"...and it is....but we will NEVER come again.

Property has been fairly recently renovated, and they did a good job within the constraints of the older building. With that said, I will say the shared areas, restaurant, etc. were nicer and better kept up than the guest rooms. The cleaning staff were great, as was the staff at the restaurant, but the front desk staff were a little less great (not rude or anything, just didn't try all that hard to accommodate - for example there is basically no way to get to the 'front desk' without waiting for someone to exit and slipping in the door since you don't have a key to access the lobby area until you have already checked in, some more welcoming way to let you check in would have improved the experience. Lots of little things like that).

Also, just a side note for American, Canadian, etc. travelers that the property is not very English-friendly. Not a negative impact on my review since I don't expect the employees to have to speak English in a Spanish-speaking country, but if you are not comfortable speaking Spanish I would look for a different hotel.

If you stay on the second floor the rooftop bar and restaurant is above and you hear every chair scrape across the floor and I'm not a light sleeper. They moved us downstairs which was appreciated. Would stay again, but on the bottom floor.

Cute little place amid the hustle & bustle of Casco Viejo. The rooms are very small, but clean and decorated in a contemporary style. The bathroom is just big enough not to feel cramped. Having a fridge is nice. Many of the rooms face inward, without windows to the outside. But the windows to the courtyard do allow natural light in, and the sheer curtain maintains privacy. They were great with my same-day booking.

We booked this hotel specifically because they listed \"parking\" as an amenity. I even emailed them to ensure they had parking, to which I got no response. Upon arrival, we noticed no parking. The reception guy said they had no parking and to go to a lot 3 blocks away. I told him I even emailed about the parking. He just looked at me like I'd been had, and I was. We parked in the lot and it cost us a whopping $75 for the 3 days. Had I not had the old \"bait & switch\" done on me, I never would have stayed there. It really put us in a crappy mood that my husband never got over. Whatever was good about this hotel got erased by their big lie. And to add insult to injury, the reception guy responded to my email 5 minutes after we checked in that they did not offer parking. What a slap in the face. Hotels.com, someone owes me $75. We got played. Beware of this property. Hotels.com, you need to ensure your users aren't being taken advantage of. Gonna really remember this experience next time I need a hotel.

The cheapest hotel in the Casco Viejo area. Very basic but a good space to stay. No worries to go out at night. Very safe. The rooftop restaurant is a ok but it has as most places in this area European prices. $28 for a small salad which is not haute cuisine.
Besides the business of the traffic a Uber pickup is quick because of its location (entrance of Casco Viejo).
I liked this place where all rooms face to the indoor garden.

Cozy and at entrance to Casco Viejo

Hotel is very well situated in the Casco Viejo. Hotels sits just at the entrance, as is also walking distance to the Mercado de Mariscos.
The room was small but was sufficient. Had a small fridge, AC and a safe (not used). Overall the hotel was cozy, safe and for a good price. Note: there is a picture of a roof deck and sadly this is \"shared\" with a upscale discotech which operates separately. So don't assume you can just chill and/or just bring your own items to enjoy view.

Great location to restaurants and shops in Casco Viejo. Interesting and artistic decor in the rooms. Room was fairly clean, but the rock wall on one side had crumbled all over the floor. The rooftop bar that other travelers have mentioned is very loud. Our room was an interior room aa far away from the music ans possible, but we could still hear it a little. There was some electrical issue so we lost air-conditioning and light for several hours during the night. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked a 2 bed balcony room, the music that the other reviews spoke of didn’t bother us a bit. We were on the second floor. We could only hear it when on the balcony or in the hallways, and it was not loud at all.

The location was great for us! Plenty of walkable restaurants, shops, dessert places, and bars. Also, uber was super cheap so even if you do need to go a little further you could for less then $4 USD.

Staff was amazing and always available.

Now.. the room itself was definitely interesting but not bad at all. The decorations were nice and authentic and the beds were comfortable. The entire room (walls, floors, etc) is made out of stone and/or concrete (I think) including the shower. This made the shower experience a little uncomfortable. The water never got super hot, I would say very warm so you could at least get through a proper shower but definitely not a shower you spend a bunch of extra time in. There was an off putting curtain in the entry way of the shower but I just pushed it back and didn’t use it because it was really not necessary. I always wear shower shoes when traveling, but if you don’t you may want to have some if you book this hotel. The balcony was also nice to have. TV has netflix, hbo max, hulu, etc. The beautiful plants all around were also an added touch of beauty.

The room was only $64 for a night and there were even cheaper room options then that so for what we paid it was completely worth it and I would definitely book again.

I don’t give reviews but this is my first real country I read reviews about loud music but I was on the first floor so i never heard any loud music at all I had good sleep it’s a simple hotel nothing to big and fancy if you want a quick stay this is mostly a tourist area right outside of Casco Viego I tested the scenery myself and was completely safe and treated with respect everywhere I went solo traveling I would definitely stay here again no problem and recommend to anyone they have police on the corner early and the restaurants are outside tourist visit big sea food place walking distance
