Good location, but very basic room with bathroom and walls that need urgent maintenance. Very loud and no sound proofing between rooms and from outside!

It’s pretty basic. It was fine clean. Staff was ok. I contacted them in advance to check about early checking, as my flight was arriving early, and I had some work meetings. They said it would be charged, which I agreed upon. But when I showed it up at the hotel, they said no.

One member of staff in this hotel went above and beyond to help me recover my mobile phone, which I had lost in a taxi cab. The hotel itself is in a decent location, being so close to the metro and supermarkets. The beds are comfortable and the rooms cleaned daily. My issues were sound proofing, which are non existent(the traffic in Bella Vista is relentless) and breakfasts which are not great. However overall I rate this little budget hotel highly and would stay again. Bring a little Spanish and you will be ok.Ant.

check in process takes a long time. Checking out and could not provide a receipt. Showers fill up with a couple of inches of water since the drains are very slow. Housekeeping was really slow to clean the room in the middle of the week, not getting to the room until 4p or 5p. After being out all day, I just wanted to get back to the room, take a shower and relax but couldn't - looks like they prioritized new arrivals over existing check ins. Area they are in have very few good restaurants, so expect to travel away from the hotel. Biggest downside is the hotel is extremely noisy. People talking or playing music in the hallways (and outside traffic noises) made it difficult to sleep. The room was okay, the bed was comfortable. If you are looking for a lower price room to sleep, it's okay but bring ear plugs

Upon entering my room, I noticed an overpowering smell. I checked the bathroom and the ceiling was covered in what appeared to be extensive, dark mold. When I showed pictures to the front desk, the staff were dismissive and refused to address the issue. They had no rooms to switch me to, leaving me stranded in a foreign country immediately after my flight. They also refused to assist with a refund despite the sanitary condition of the room. It was a very distressing experience.

My experience was not what I expected. The photos shown on Expedia did not match the actual room/property—what was advertised was not what I received. Also, my booking stated that breakfast was included, but upon arrival I was told it wasn’t, which was very disappointing and misleading.
On top of that, the room had a strong damp/musty smell that was quite unpleasant and made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re expecting the listing details to be accurate.

This was the nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Check-in took 55 minutes because our room “wasn’t ready” after someone spilled something all over it. When we finally got in, the floors were sticky, the place smelled, and staff seemed annoyed when we asked for cleaning. They sent a lady with a dry Swiffer who barely wiped the floor. We asked for a new room, but they claimed they were fully booked, so we cleaned it ourselves. We found roaches and bugs in the bed, and the entire place reeks of mold. The shower door was rusted and broken, so every time you shower, the bathroom and the main room outside flood with water. Moisture never dries, making the smell even worse. The bathroom had a broken soap holder, a constantly leaking faucet that dripped all night, and the corner of the shower looked kicked in. Hallways were dirty and noisy, making it hard to sleep. No one at the hotel spoke English, which made resolving issues nearly impossible. Even speaking Spanish, staff acted annoyed and unhelpful. The booking falsely advertised on-site laundry, but there was none; they told us to go somewhere else. The hotel smells, the area is bad, and nothing is maintained. We travel often and have never seen anything this filthy or poorly run. Pay more and stay somewhere else. This place is disgusting and should be avoided at all costs.

Made booking on 8th May, confirmed booking on the 3rd June. On arrival hotel was booked out. Reservation was still valid. Never saw beyond the reception area. We were not even afforded a complementary breakfast. We were then transferred to the Grand International hotel. Receptionist, very accommodating, rooms and house keeping better than average, b/fast ok. Quote a few restaurants around the hotel, metro is 8-10min walk away. Wifi good throughout the hotel. Never booking with Ojos del Rio ever again...

I ordered food during my stay, and it was delicious especially the passion fruit juice, which was amazing. They offer daily specials and even text you the menu, which was a nice touch.

The property needs to inform travellers that the metro is 4 minute walk from Sant Tomas Metro station. An easy ride from the airport to save on the traffic.

If you want a less expensive hotel that is safe, reasonably comfortable, reasonably clean for an old place, has great, friendly staff, a nice breakfast, etc. this is your place! It is a couple block's walk to a great REY grocery store, pharmacies, the ocean/walking/bike path, etc.--super convenient. The area and adjacent buildings are definitely run down, but that is normal for the area, in my experience. It seems safe enough. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing hotel, nice location. Located in quiet part of town without heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Rooms were clean with working wi-fi and air conditioning. Friendly staff. Next time I'm in Panama will definitely book this hotel.
