We didn’t have hot water for the first two nights. Breakfast was supposed to be included - it got straightened out but it was a bit of a mess. AC never worked despite having asked the front desk 3 times over two days to look into it. Toilet clogged on the 6th day. Overall just not ideal.

We booked this hotel last minute due to a 5 day flight delay by WestJet and the Westin Player Bonita not being able to accommodate the related last minute date changes. We did not have a great view in Le Meridian as construction was in progress however the manager Ruth and front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. The delightful old town was worth a daily uber ride to and while the city centre is very busy the restaurants were good (Gaucho and Les Mecs our favourites and only a 2 min walk away). The hotel had a great view of the fireworks on New Year’s Eve from the roof top. It was very hot and had hoped to sit by pool during some days but the pool is very small and never any loungers available. We could not find the gym so did not use this time. The restaurant had some nice local dishes and cocktails looked good. Staff great and felt safe.

The only issue is the check in time, we arrived from a long fly and they made us wait 1 hour and half to do it although the check in time is a 3pm we waited until almost 5 pm and a lot of guests were in the same situation.

Checked in and we got to our room. Almost instantly after walking in I sensed it was off. Went to the front desk and asked for housekeeping. After waiting for 30 minutes I went back to the front desk and asked to be moved because of the blood on the pillow, especially. After closer look with the front desk staff there was dirt on the bed covers, hair in the bed itself and blood stains on pillow covers. They changed our rooms, but was disappointed. After all that we asked for more coffee and tea and were told we can only have one per day. Last time staying here - the brand Le Meridian landed flat at this location.

Starting from the positive:
- great location
- beautiful hotel
- very spacious room with good decor (bigger than advertised)
- very nice bathroom
Negative:
- the bed didn’t have a normal cotton sheet, but instead a plastic coated sheet that was uncomfortable when sleeping and I am sure it was not the most breathable material. I actually had to call service in the middle of the night to check if someone forgot to place the normal cotton linen sheet, and I was told this was normal

Would stay again just for the bed

Stayed two nights then a further night later that week in a different room. Both beds and pillows wonderfully comfortable. First stay slightly smaller room, happy with everything, staff pleasant. Second stay, no tea or coffee in room, room larger but very slightly shabbier; in the morning staff unapologetic about lack of coffee.

The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The ambience was dated. The breakfast buffet was unable to keep up demand. My biggest concern was the lack of toilet accessibility. The accessible rooms had one bar in a very bad spot. The lobby restrooms had a better placed bar, no seat covers and stalls not deep enough. I expected more from a Marriott property. Foodserver Marco was excellent!

The property was in a great location with a lot of things in walking distance! The staff were nice and accommodating. However, the rooms were dirty and outdated. The white robes in the room had brown stains on them and smelled like mildew. There was never enough towels in stock so we had to repeatedly request until we finally got some. No towels at the pool as well. It took a very long time before someone brought some up. Lastly, there were bugs in our room. There was a black bug in the shower when I woke that morning to take a shower. The next morning when I entered the bathroom, there was a brown bug crawling on the floor. The room was not cleaned properly. I never complain to the staff and just made the decision I would never go back there.

Like the location hated our room

The overall condition of the hotel was fantastic. However, during our 2 day stay, if it could go poorly, it did. Our room was never serviced, when we went up to the pool there were no towels and after an hour and 4 calls later, we went down to the lobby soaking wet to get towels. We couldn’t even have used the towels in our room since it hadn’t been cleaned. Add to the mess, our room was immediately adjacent to the exercise area on one side and a room being renovated on the other. The noise began at 4:30 in the morning and didn’t stop until 10 pm. This room should not have been let. Had we been staying any longer we would have asked to have been moved. The front desk staff was excellent. Fernando Lasso was extremely friendly and helpful.

Nice stay near the bay and many restaurants.

Our stay was pleasant. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was hot. The breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. There were several weird design elements including no night lighting in the room, a glass window in the shower that felt unsafe, and a leaky shower door that \"flooded\" the bathroom. Also no cups for water in the fitness room.

My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, the reception area did not provide any guidance about the hotel amenities, leaving us to discover things on our own. We had to inquire about the pool, which closes at 7 PM—way too early for guests. Once the pool was closed, the only option was to head to the restaurant for food or drinks. While I understand the need to close the pool, it would have been nice to have access to the outdoor lounge chairs for relaxation.

The staff's demeanor was inconsistent; some were friendly, while others barely acknowledged us. Additionally, the phone in our room was out of order, forcing us to trek down to reception for any assistance.

Towel availability was another issue; on our last night, we didn't receive any towels despite asking multiple times. Although they eventually sent some up, it was a hassle. The air conditioning also malfunctioned but was fixed after reporting it.

The most unpleasant aspect of our stay was the pervasive smell of mildew in the hallways and our room. I felt uncomfortable walking on the floor without slippers due to the uneven surfaces covered by rugs. We were on the third floor, and the condition of the flooring was far from ideal.

Lastly, the food was underwhelming and did not meet expectations. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel and certainly wouldn't return.

I would specifically like to highlight Thais, Diana, Monica and Ruth. They made recommendations for dinner, responded to my requests for service, addressed me by name and always greeted me with a smile. We had a comfortable stay at the hotel for 4 nights. The hotel needs a better gym and some maintenance. The biggest downside in my opinion was the breakfast. The quality of the food was below average and not worth the money. We needed up eating outside. Staff were all very friendly.

The hotel is very clean, the service amazing. We want to thanks Odilia Batista she arranged a beautiful BBQ at swimming pool area because We invite my twins sons for they birthday as pass day. It was very incredible service and the price was really good and my guests were available to use the sauna, jacuzzi, gym and swimming pool area. Everything was spectacular. The restaurant is very good, the food is very taste and good price. The restaurant have buffet and you may order your own food. The bar area is really comfortable , peaceful, good music the bartenders are very nice and kind. The hotel is located in a very good area and Beautiful views. Me and my wife really recommend highly this hotel.

My son and I spent two nights at Le Meridien. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is quiet, very clean, and our room was spacious. The breakfast was excellent and we appreciate the friendliness of all the staff. We needed a ride to the airport and the front desk clerk arranged a taxi for us. We could have also used Uber, but had him arrange a taxi which worked out well. I do speak Spanish, but most of the staff also speaks English. I will definitely stay there again.

My room had great views of the water very comfortable big room was nicely furnished and very comfortable bed. The staff was great but the condition of the hotel we’re lacking maintenance. My room had some water damages. They were noticeable by the patchwork that they did. The lobby and restaurant area were very hot seem like they didn’t have no AC.

The hotel is located in a central area across from cinta costera. Great area for a morning walk, run or a bike ride.
There weren’t too many restaurants to choose from, in my opinion it is better to eat downtown to experience the true essence of Panama. However it is a 10 minute car ride to Casco Viejo if that is more your vibe. Overall good, no frills hotel and they supply free water in the rooms.

Not enough staff. No Porter. 1 front desk staff so long wait for everything! No concierge service (not helpful when needing to book tourist activities). Calling front reception from room took at least 3 tries before anyone picked up. 1 of 2 elevators was broken. Pool and spa were closed. All together Beth disappointed. Best thing about the stay was decent size of room and getting to use Intercontinental swimming pool across the road

Disappointing stay

Upon arrival, we were asked to pay extra for early arrival, so we did. Once we paid we were asked to wait another hour to be checked in. The girl in the front desk was extremely stand offish, we were charged an early fee with no courtesy breakfast for an hour wait after paying to be checked in early. Whenever we needed something the staff was super dry, they only gave you one word answers for anything. We asked for recommendations for food and their response was either the hotel restaurant or “I don’t know”. For the Meridian brand, the building was super outdated and poorly maintained, could use some upgrading. Windows in the room were dirty and blocked the view. I do not recommend this place at all.

The overall service was above average. Was given a first floor suite. Unable to get higher floor. Very noisy during the day due to traffic.Clean with tired furniture throughout.
Was not able to get access to pool area due to private party. Was not able to use dining facilities because after returning from shopping there was no underground or outdoor parking. There should be dedicated & guaranteed parking for patrons staying at the hotel.
The immediate surrounding streets have limited access due to street repairs. Service in the lounge area was very good, but had very limited access to prime liquors.
The choice of liquor is not congruent for this hotel that advertises as a 4+ star facility. On the second night of my paid stay, I decided not to return & risk not having access to parking again. I did had wonderful meals in the city instead.

Great place.I have been there several times and it never dissapoints. Staff is great, I fogot my credt card at the rental car counter at the airport and the made all the necessary calls to recover it and get the card sent back to the hotel. Staff at the front desk gave me excellent recommendations for dinner and drinks.
