Clean, modern, large room over looking the Panama Canal. Ideal location in the old town. Really comfortable bed. Plenty of complementary water in the room and a treat, more water and clean towels left by the evening turn down service. Excellent friendly staff

The only disappointment was at the speak easy where I ordered a cocktail and was brought a Taro card. As a Christ follower - it was offensive to me. I asked the waiter to take it back.

What a fantastic and beautiful hotel. The staff, particularly Dario who assisted with our bags, was extremely attentive and helpful. Luis, in the restaurant also was particularly kind and informative when sharing information about the hotel and Panamanian coffee! They made my husband and I feel special during our 20th anniversary trip.

A great hotel. The staff is incredible. Everyone works hard to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, the shower simply one of a kind - large and water pressure that was amazing. The room was clean. Enjoyed the pool - a wonderful place to relax, swim and have a great cocktail. Highly recommend it.

The rooms are lovely. My balcony had a great view of the harbor and the city. The food is excellent, the coffee shop and pastries out of this world, and location is central yet quiet. The staff are superb, and treat everyone like a family member. Special shout outs to Ivan and Fatima at the front desk, Shaun at reception and Julissa at the pool bar. They are among the most outstanding of this outstanding staff.

A five star ,completely charming, \"Old World\" hotel. Excellent location. Very friendly atmosphere. Very well kept up. Exceptional, attentive staff, rooms were spacious and lovely. Beds and linens were first class. Large TV with many [free] movie options. Shower was the best I ever had. Spa services were also wonderful. Definitely recommend the 30 minute exfoliation followed by 60 massage .

The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the breakfast buffet that is way, way below standard for a hotel of this caliber. Only 2-3 different breads, almost liquid scrambled eggs etc. Yoghurt was available but only presented at the buffet in small bowls that went empty after few minutes. All in all a breakfast one would expect at a 2-3 star hotel. The staff at the breakfast and all throughout the hotel were amazing, attentive and very service minded. The room we had was impeccable, clean and well serviced.

The decor was beautiful, very clean and pleasant fragrance inside. Food was great too. The very best thing was the helpful, friendly and attentive staff. Everyone, front desk, butlers, concierge, wait staff, room staff, doormen and drivers, all made us feel well taken care of and treated us like old friends. They seemed happy to greet us whenever seeing us, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. We loved our stay here and were sad to leave, but we will definitely return to stay again.

From the moment of arriving to when we left, we felt like the only ones that mattered to all the staff. (I’m sure all other guests felt the same).
I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels but this ranks right at the top for everything about it.
We stayed on 6th floor with a view from our balcony overlooking the new city in the distance.
Spectacular when lit up in the evening.
Look out for the ‘hidden bar’ at the hotel too!
We will be back.

We visited Panama about two weeks ago, and the experience was absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend staying at the Sofitel for a truly luxurious experience. The hotel is clean, safe, and, most importantly, stunning.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The staff is exceptionally professional and attentive. The food and desserts were consistently delicious—we dined at every restaurant within the hotel and enjoyed each one, especially Caleta, where we had our first dinner. Juan, our waiter, and Joselyn, the hostess, were both personable and professional, making the evening even more memorable.

Our room was excellent, complete with a lovely balcony we enjoyed throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is ideal, surrounded by a variety of dining options, attractions, and shops.

I also recommend using the hotel’s transportation services. Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and drove with precision and care. He was also very friendly and professional, which made getting around the city even more enjoyable.

I absolutely loved my stay at Sofitel Legend. The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. My room was spotless, beautifully appointed, and included thoughtful touches that personalized my experience.

The breakfast at Caleta was outstanding, and I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon bites at Mayda as well. I highly recommend trying the La Reina cocktail, it was simply exquisite.

The hotel’s location is ideal, tucked away on a quiet corner by the water in Casco Viejo, perfect for strolling through the charming shops and restaurants nearby.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and refined stay.

The dining staff was eager to make us feel welcomed and offered meals suggestions that were perfect for us to experience Panama cuisine. It would be very hard to choose any other place better than Sofitel Legend for our next visit. I highly recommend this piece of paradise. We will be back.

I LOVED everything about this hotel. I will definitely stay here next time I visit. The only negative experience I had was with the valet. They did not pull our car to the front of the hotel as agreed upon during check out. They had us walk over to the parking lot to retrieve our vehicle. Other than that experience, I would give it a 10/10.

What a delight! From the moment you step into the lobby, to when we left, our whole stay was purely wonderful. Staff were courteous, and not in your way too much, the turn down service was lovely especially after returning from an excursion, and the Diptyque bathroom items were pure luxury.

This hotel is a solid five stars. The staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurants was excellent and very tasty. They went above and beyond in anything that you ask of them.
The room was perfect and had daily service plus night turn down. The only thing that I would try to make it better is that the shower needs some type of safety handle as the floor is ceramic tile and with the soap becomes a bit slippery.
But otherwise this is the perfect hotel for your stay in Panama city.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had the best time. The upgrade for the view was worth it. The staff was amazing, I had never stayed in a place as nice as this. If I had to say one thing negative it would be that our floor had a scent machine pumping arona therapy on it. While it spent nice, it really enraged my allergies. Just something I would have liked to know about before the stay

We had a challenge checking in and they upgraded us. The staff initially had challenges but management excelled in every way to make us happy. The hotel is the essence of beauty and class and fantastic hospitality. We had challenges with the door with the balcony and it was fixed - the hotel as an aging property needs continue care. But it's a gem and a once in a lifetime experience.

Overall the experience was incredible from arrival to departure. There were a few areas of opportunity namely the service at La Caleta. Our server during dinner the first night seemed lost and frazzled which resulted in mediocre service. The next morning I went to breakfast and a different server was standing in a corner with his eyes fully closed that he didn’t notice when we were seated. He also asked for our order twice

I’d I could give this a hotel a 20/10 I would. Everything about it is exquisite. The staff and service are impeccable-everyone remembers your name. The property is absolutely incredible and they do free nightly hotel tours where they teach you about the history of the hotel and panama and the canal and then there is a folkloric dance and candle lighting. The pool is beyond perfection. All of the dining options are fantastic and you must try each one. The location is great! Walkable, history, shops, dining, history etc. I was devastated to leave.

Beautiful hotel, the only 2 details was that we arrived at 12:00 and the room was not ready ready until 3:00 pm, and the wifi is really bad, one day we couldn’t watch tv, but the staff, restaurants, they are very friendly, we had a dinner at Caleta, and it was an amazing experience,and delicious, nice room, comfy bed, ocean front balcony, very safe area, the pool very clean, nice and relaxing, thanks Sofitel it was a really good choice to stay there

By Far this has been the best hotel stay of my life; Pricey but worth Every Dime Spent, The Welcoming Staff, The Concierge, The Room Attendants, and The Caleta Restaurant. I don’t know who the Captain of tvis establishment but these employees are to be commended. Jesus, Marilyn, Denisse and Luis in fact everyone working in the Caleta was Superb!!!

It’s a beautiful hotel and the service is exceptional. The pool area and the views are very special. I would also like to commend some of the staff who were most helpful and friendly during my stay. Julissa in room service was very friendly and genuinely committed to her guests, a smiling face to greet me each morning. Jesus at the front desk and Shaun both went above and beyond to help answer my questions and replace a lost key. The staff represent the hotel and the warm and friendly country of Panama very well.
