We arrived and were told our room was almost ready. We went to the restaurant next door per the employee’s recommendation. We returned an hour later to learn the room had a water leak and we could either cancel our reservation or keep the reservation with a plumber constantly coming and going. I understand the hotel couldn’t control the leak, but they were aware of the leak when we initially showed up and decided not to tell us or help us find alternatives in that hour.

Beautiful, spacious, and comfortable apartment with 3 balconies! Centrally located to old town, with easy access to miles of pedestrian/cycling paths. Friendly, helpful staff, and a wonderful restaurant, Mahalo, next door. There's no elevator in this cool old hotel, and the stairs are steep, so be sure to pack light!

The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and nice, but everything was loud. The A/C was loud. The outside was loud (although it could be due to their national holiday having people firing fireworks at 2 a.m.). The people walking on the upper floor were also loud. You could hear their every step.

This was my first visit to Panama, along with my husband. The front desk staff were excellent and so helpful. I can't speak enough about how great they were. I almost hated to leave. Overall, the hotel was very clean but like others said, the AC was a bit noisy, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping soundly. The shower door didn't close all the day which led some of the water to spill out onto the floor. Having no elevator caused us to struggle walking up to the top floor carrying groceries, but I knew what I was getting into when I booked the hotel. We had a fully functioning kitchen with a microwave, utensils. plates and pots. We cooked breakfast several times, which saved us money. Overall, the people are friendly and didn't hesitate to speak to us. Too bad there were so many areas we just didn't get a chance to see because we were only there 4 days. Casco Viejo is a great little area with a heavy police presence. I want to believe that they simply want to keep the tourists safe.

On one of our walks, we took a turn off Santa Anna and we sensed quickly the atmosphere changed to freakishly scary and sketchy. We forgot which block we came down which caused me to get nervous. Just then, we saw the police slowly following us in a marked truck. I was so glad to see them. They followed us for a block until we ended up back at our checkpoint. My advice to you, stay in the tourist areas and don't look so much like a tourist.

In itself it is a very nice hotel and we had a very spacious room. But having to climg 6 stairs every time was a drag, so be aware there is no elevator. Also, our AC made a rediculous amount of noise and there was hardly any option to control it.

The unit is spacious and was perfect for our needs. The single bathroom is off the bedroom which may be a concern for some but was not a problem for us.

With just a few tweaks, we'd rate as excellent...

I'll begin with why our overall score is good vs excellent (but do read to the end!): we arrived slightly ahead of schedule and waited over an hour (even with our calling) to be picked up by the driver we had arranged for with Las Clementinas. It was frustrating.Taxis came and went; we waited, not knowing what a taxi would charge us. FYI, an uber back to the airport was cheaper but we were paying for the convenience of someone waiting for us with our names on their sign. Secondly, we were grateful for air conditioning in our suite, but it was located in the bedroom and very loud. We stayed one additional night in a room vs suite on our way home. The ac was not located in the room, but adequately cooled and was much quieter. Not a \"ding\" but just be aware: front desk personnel speak English to varying degrees. We were able to communicate adequately. Now the great stuff: staff is very friendly, the suite and room were very spacious, welcoming and cool style. Loved the attached restaurant/bar (Mahalo)! Very good food and enjoyed dining on the outside patio. Great location! Easy to get wherever we wanted to go. We always stay in the \"old town\" wherever we go if there is one and the location did not disappoint. Great restaurants and bars, plazas for people watching and hanging out, and fun shops - all easily walkable. Always felt safe. P.s. no elevator but someone did help get our bags to our room.

Gem in Casco Viejo

Absolutely loved our stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, and the location was perfect for having a ton of options of places to walk to in Casco Viejo. We stayed on a Saturday night so the club nearby was bumping music pretty late, but the air unit drowned it out a long with our white noise machine! The restaurant attached to the building was delicious and the patio was very cute. We will definitely be staying again

This older hotel has a quaint, nostalgic vibe that adds to its charm. Our room was spacious and included a kitchen. The location was ideal, providing easy access to many tourists sites we wanted to

Such a great hotel. Has been amazingly restored and has a wonderful courtyard patio and rooftop patio. The best part is it is also connected to the Mahalo restaurant on the ground floor which is great for breakfast (or any meal) and has maybe the best courtyard in the city.

We had an amazing stay here. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location is great. The room was amazing with super tall ceilings, lots of light, and beautiful finishes. In the bottom of the hotel there is a really great little restaurant that had live music one evening. There is also a really pretty rooftop area - it seemed a bit underused, but has big potential and is a great spot for views/photos.

Beautiful hotel Casco Viejo Panama

Las Clementinas never fails to impress us. Husband and I have stayed there on three separate times when visiting Panama. Very convenient to all of Casco Viejo. We walk everywhere.

Don’t forget to grab a delicious meal and the amazing cocktails at Mahalo’s right there.

Fantastic boutique hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at Las Clementinas - you could walk anywhere in Casco Viejo from the hotel. We appreciated the extra space with the sitting and dining areas and loved the original tile in the shower.

There is no elevator, so be aware if that is an issue. If we were to return, we would certainly stay there again.

Best in Casco?

This hotel is at least as beautiful as the photos. Really spacious apartment. Very clean. As much as other reviews have mentioned noise, the noise level is no more than you should expect from an urban apartment. Noise maker app on my phone was fine to blunt any noise. We did have an issue with the AC when we were there, but the manager was extraordinarily responsive via WhatsApp to address the issue with all the urgency you would expect from a 4-star hotel in the US.

The location could not be better, not too close to any loud nightlife, but close to all the best bars and restaurants. The manager made great recommendations for coffee (Cafe Unido and Siso -we went to both and both exceptional!) Also, the restaurant in the lobby - Mahalo - also exceptional, we had two meals here, breakfast and dinner and appreciated the GF and Vegan offerings. The cocktails are also great. The manager also recommended another bar for creative cocktails - La Barbara. This place was exceptional. Check out their Happy Hour special form 3-7. Get a couple of cocktails and some sushi...and maybe a haircut?

Exceeded expectations!

Las Clementinas is a truly beautiful apartment building in Casco Viejo, walking distance to terrific restaurants and sites. The high ceilings, well-chosen furniture, and strking artwork - plus sittable balconies overlooking the city - made it an affordably luxurious base for our family to explore Casco Viejo and the rest of Panama City.

Las Clementinas.

Las Clementinas a great apartment hotel for our stay in Casco Viejo. We did have an issue with hot water in the shower. We reported the issue to the host at the reception but we were still taking cold showers. First two mornings we had warm water but last three mornings cold showers. Hit water was the the bathroom sink — not shower.
We stayed there in April when down and chose to stay there again.

We had the best experience in this apartment and highly recommend it.
This is a very beautifully renovated apartment, with a tasteful interior design/decoration located in Casco Viejo.
The apartment is very spacious and has any amenities that you may need, including a laundry for guests to use. The beds (both bed and sofa bed) were very comfortable.
The hotel has a beautiful garden and is adjacent to a wonderful restaurant. The staff were all great. Ms. Paula was always available via WhatsApp and phone and helped us with everything including arranging a ride from airport. We got a Studio room and I loved it and thought it was so nice. But our AC was not working we messaged them on WhatsApp and they came right over to check it. The issue was not going to be a easy fix and they immediately upgraded our room to a beautiful sweet. They were very nice and accommodating would definitely stay here again !!

This is a very clean and comfortable property located to all restaurants and attractions. The noise level that everyone is complaining about is very minimal. I was there during 2020 carnival and NO NOISE. No need for ear plugs. Best thing about this property is that it is very clean and safe. Although right next door across the street are abandon houses/buildings - There is no Worries. Believe me all is Wonderful

Fantastic location! In the heart of Casco Viejo. The unit was beautifully decorated and had old world charm. Fully functional kitchen if you wanted to cook. Noise can be a problem on a Friday or Saturday night, but Sunday night was quiet. Highly recommend.

The apartment was very spacious, clean, and welcoming. Also, the views from the rooftop were amazing. We were fortunate enough to be there for New Year's Eve and it was a great location to watch fireworks across the city. We were only there for a couple of nights and didn't have too many interactions with the staff but everyone seemed very kind, respectful, and helpful.

We had a great stay at Las Clementinas, the staff were excsptional in the service they provided. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The location was handy to Caso Viejo sites, restaurants. The food at the reataurant was gpod, the litttle outdoor oasis for eating was super. The only change I would lime to see would be to have blackout curtains on the windows, when sunrise hits, it is light inside.

The room (apartment size) was terrific. It's one of those places that you wouldn't mind living in. The air conditioning worked well, as did the internet. The neighbors can be a little bit noisy at night. But it was the same at another hotel I stayed at in Casco Viejo.

Beautiful hotel but bring ear plugs

The hotel is in a beautiful old building, with stylishly decorated rooms and bathrooms. I really liked the hotel itself. Only drawback was noise level at night - you’re in the heart of the casco, which is great, but don’t expect a good night’s sleep, especially on the weekend. Felt like the DJ was in the bedroom until 3am (on a Sunday, though Monday was a holiday unbeknownst to me when I booked).
