The rooftop bar is an absolute must and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Beautiful views, great atmosphere, and the perfect place to unwind.

The location was perfect. Everything was very walkable and safe. The only negative was the hot water was not steady in the showers (we stayed in the villa). Also, the beautiful church on the same block rang every 15 minutes which was a little annoying at times. But sitting out on the balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine on this beautiful side street was a highlight. The villa is adjacent to the mayor's residence so security was always present. The staff at La Concordia were especially helpful in arranging transportation. We loved our stay here at the villa with 3 bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen with Viking appliances, comfortable living room and great balcony. We would highly recommend!!

The hotel needs to have Valet parking!! If you drive your own car, as we did, we were given directions to get to the parking and ended up going in circles to find it. We eventually ended up back at the hotel so the clerk could ride with us to park. Now for the good part! The corner suite is... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! My wife and I,loved it!!! The Victorian style design, decore, and details were gorgeous! The front desk servers were amazing as well!

Great spot… The staff could not be more accommodating or more helpful. Very walkable as a multitude of restaurants and stores are all around. On the edge of an area that has not been regentrified yet, but still felt safe at this hotel. The rooftop bar is lovely with a very nice view.

La Concordia was a wonderful place to base our 2-night stay in the Casco Viejo district. Warm and helpful concierge staff and beautifully appointed rooms totally elevated our vacation experience The roof top bar was chic and had the tastiest cocktails and food. We felt 2 days wasn’t enough and wished we had booked at lead one more night. Absolutely loved our stay here!

The hotel is in Old Town Panama. It's conveniently located amongst restaurants, bars and cafes.

Noise problems in rooftop disco/bar....

The staff were excellent—friendly and helpful. The room was nice, though it had no view. The cleaning staff did an outstanding job.

Now for the problem: almost every night at 8 PM, the thump, thump, thump of music from the rooftop bar/disco would start and continue very late into the night (past midnight). It was so loud you could hear the beat even through earplugs. We were on the 2nd floor, and the bar (formerly known as \"When Joe Died\") was on the 4th. There was no escape.

We seriously considered leaving mid-week, but the staff convinced us that Thursday was the noisiest night and that things would improve on Friday and Saturday. Of course, that turned out to be untrue. We lost a lot of sleep and will not be returning.

Style over substance. Main problem would be a simple fix: a sheer curtain option. We stayed in a corner suite with balcony. But we had to keep half the room-darkening curtains closed because there was no sheer option. We were at eye level with a guy who was constantly shirtless in his bright fluorescent apartment across the way. We never sat on the balcony because the ambiance isn’t pleasant. Additional disappointments: expected a kitchen but staff explained to me that is only if you rent the villa and this is explained on the website (but management has a responsibility to ensure accuracy on other sites including here.) Instead there was a stocked fridge with no price list on-site. Bathtub? No soap but instead a rubber duck you can buy on the soap dish. Yes, noisy and musty but a candle and earplugs are set out. (I found that soothing music on the Bose via my Spotify account worked best to drown out the dance club noise.) Candle helped. Upon arrival no help was offered carrying heavy bags down the stairs into the tiny lobby. Appreciated the follow-through on having our Expedia perk of sparking wine ready. The rooms are spacious and the interior design is beautiful. Just too much form over function.

This is renovated historical building; our room is large with a patio and a huge bathroom; the ceiling is at least 15 ft high, the decor of the room is antique like with a 65\" LG TV.

The front desk is friendly and helpful.

This hotel does not have any restaurant, and it is surrounded by narrow streets with a lot of traffic. So, you can hear the trucks passing by early in the morning. this is the historical district with tourist attractions all within walking distance. It is very safe to walk around within the district since there are abundant police present.

Our initial impression was good BUT they put us on the 3rd floor knowing there is a loud club (The DayJoe Died) on the 4th floor. The overly loud music kept us awake until 4am. Very disappointed.

The staff and walking proximity to this historic area great attributes. The over use of car horns is something the city mayor or whoever has the power should address. It’s a good thing the hotel offers high quality earplugs which make for a wonderful night sleep. The city would be wise to institute a “quiet hour” period from 10PM-7AM so visitors and guests can enjoy a restful sleep opportunity for those not hanging out in the bars and clubs until 3AM.

Historic vintage charm and wonderful staff. There’s construction nearby and subsequent traffic congestion that creates intolerable noise at peak times and weekends. The large corner suite has a quirky modern glam mixed with antiques. The luxe bathroom is the star of the space. However, AC system was turned off when we arrived, so the humidity in our room was overwhelming. The rooftop was closed for renovations.

La Concordia Boutique Hotel is absolutely wonderful. The small size was a refreshing break from the gigantic hotel chains. The property itself is lovely and the location was great. Our room was spacious and beautiful. We loved our balcony for morning coffee.

The best part, however, is the front desk staff. They were all great. Miriel was especially knowledgeable and helpful. She's a problem-solving whiz.

We are looking forward to our next stay!

I booked this hotel and requested transportation from and to the airport. The communication with the hotel was great and the driver picked me up upon arrival. However, he told me that we were waiting for another passenger who would be traveling with us and that the hotel would give me a discount due to the last minute change. We waited quite a while and I told the driver that I wanted to leave and was planning to take a taxi to the hotel. He immediately told me that he would take me . On our way to the parking, he found another colleague and told him
To wait for the other passenger. He was texting all the way from airport to hotel, something that I thought was dangerous while driving.
When I arrived at the hotel, the attendant attempted to convince me that the plan had never changed and that the hotel gave him instructions to pick me only. This did not go well with me as it seemed that she was not being honest.
The room was humid and the sheets were stained. The night was awful as there is a club across the street with loud music until very late. I could not sleep the two nights I spent there. There is no dining facilities, bathroom amenities are bottles on the wall, not the amenity that you expect from a so called boutique hotel. The safe was Not working, I reported but it was not fixed.
Overall, a true disappointment and waste of money. This hotel needs to upgrade the room amenities, improve service and do something drastic to stop the noise from the street.

Old meets new in style

This boutique hotel is an excellent example of a beautiful restoration project in the Panama old town. It's a fun play of old and new and still pays tribute to the original building. The room was decorated beautiful and included every thoughtful comfort one needs. My only negative point is that we were there over a weekend and the rooftop bar upstairs only closes after midnight, and the nearby hot spots only close at 3am, so our family struggled to fall asleep. The hotel is close to many great coffee spots and restaurants.

La Concordia is a beautiful hotel that looks like an Italian Palazzo on the interior. Lovely tile work, huge luxurious bathroom, excellent bed, wonderful linens; and nice to have a balcony with chairs. The young people manning the reception downstairs were wonderful, an extremely helpful with suggestions about where to go, and the terrific young woman whose name I never caught (so sorry!) Offered to order us an Uber to get to the airport, which was a wonderful idea. Much better than taking a cab!
Can't say enough about their hospitality, and it was a lovely hotel. That said, you are a person who is sensitive to noise in the evenings, this might not be the place for you. Although we were not bothered by it, there was intermittent music, occasional yelling or cars with stereos booming by until about 1:00 a.m. each night. But it's a city, so we expected that,and we were not bothered by it. If you're used to very quiet places to sleep, this might not be the place for you.
And as far as the area goes, it was on the outskirts of the restored areas of Casco Viejo, But when we got lost in the daytime about a block and a half above the hotel, We did not have any problems. But we understand that it's best to stick to the other side of the hotel where all of the buildings are restored, and there is a heavy security presence to reassure tourists. Casco Viejo is a very secure area.

Started out ok (aggressive man panhandling out front when we arrived, they had canceled our reservation because I’d booked with an Amex. They created a new one for us but we had to wait two hours for the room to be ready. All ok.

The room itself was cute, and the hotel is in a convenient location.

The problem began at night, when we got home from dinner. My friend moved an article of clothing on her bed and a MASSIVE cockroach skittered out, hiding under another article of clothing on her bed. We had to capture the cockroach in a coffee cup and saucer. Not great, but ok(ish)?

We had early flights the next day so we laid our heads down to sleep right around 10pm.

Which is when the BOOM BOOM BOOM started…and NEVER STOPPED (until past 4am). The arrhythmic BOOM BOOM BOOM all night triggered our cortisol and adrenaline…and neither of us could sleep all night long. I was still awake at 5:45 AM, at which point I got up because my alarm was going off at 6am anyway.

I sleep with noise canceling headphones and earplugs—and STILL could not sleep, because the shaking of the bass kept shaking me awake. Worst night at a hotel ever.

It’s a no-brainer the hotel needs to notify guests when they will play room-rocking, sleep-shattering music all night long. We booked our room THAT DAY. There’s absolutely no excuse for not letting us know that they planned on playing music until 4am.

The property is immaculate. It’s is the location where this hotel is situated in the old city is the issue. The only thing is that it’s the noise level at this place (neighbourhood) is very high. Street party over weekend goes on till morning. Honking / loud music / people screaming till 5/6am seems pretty normal.

You will not find a better manager anywhere than Arcelio. His attention to detail, patience, kindness, attentiveness, were outstanding. My breakfasts were right on time. My room was spotless. And the corner suite is perfect for sitting outside on the balcony and people watching. I will certainly be back.
