Loved the staff, the customer service was great. However the bed was very very uncomfortable. If you need a bed with more cushion this isn’t the place for you. However, the location was close to Matsumoto station and the restaurants around the hotel were awesome!

Great location and professional staff. The rooms are tiny though. Like, really small. Probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in over hundred hotels. Only because of that, i would find a different hotel if ever i pass through the city again. The free breakfast was just okay. I can't figure out why people rave about it.

This is an excellent hotel for one or two nights ( the rooms are small) but very clean, with helpful staff and in a very convenient location only 5 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes walk to Matsumoto castle. The room rate was very good and this hotel offers good value.

Pretty new looking hotel. Room for was clean and modern. Bathroom was bigger than other hotel rooms I’ve stayed at in Japan. Staff were nice, and they offer free soba or ice cream nightly from 8-10pm. Close to the station, castle, and izakaya and restaurant area.

For what you pay, you get all you need.
The breakfast choice was good as well.

This is a clean and modern hotel which is very well located. It is close to the station, a twenty minute walk to the castle and right next to the entertainment district which is full of places to eat. We stayed in a moderate double room and it was definitely on the small side for two people. The reason that I gave a four star review is that the bed was not that comfortable compared to other hotels that we have stayed at in Japan. I felt like they could have invested in higher quality mattresses.

Matsumoto, nearby the train station is a delight! This hotel is just a few minutes walk and there are dozens and dozens of places to shop and eat nearby. The hotel is super clean and the staff is excellent. What a great stay!

Hotel has recently been refurbished, so everything was clean and modern. Really liked that a pastries and coffee were available for free each morning.
When I arrived to drop off my bag, no-one was on reception and there were a few people waiting before a member of staff arrived at the front desk, although this was only a minor inconvenience.

Very nice hotel in a good location with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Free ramen and ice cream were offered to guests in the lobby in the evening. I would definitely stay here again.

Room for improvement

Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is about 15mins walk from the station. Rooms are modern & comfortable. They do not provide bottled water but free waffle ice cream or ramen from 8 - 10pm. Breakfast was great. However, the reception we received upon arrival was disappointing by Japanese standards. In fact, it was the worst check in for our entire trip. After processing whatever was required, staff just left everything on the counter to sort out ourselves. That’s when we realised we were short 1 day’s breakfast tickets. No apologies, no smile. Neither did he inform us about the complimentary supper / desert. We only found out ourselves on the 2nd day. The guy was simply not interested in his work. The rest of the staff were much more professional.

Pros: 5 min walk from Matsumoto station, many restaurants within 5-10min walking distance that’s foreign friendly, brand new hotel facility (beds were firm, staff was very friendly, overall facility very clean), free breakfast (western and American options were available and it was all delicious!), late night snacks (ramen and ice cream) available

Cons: depending if there’s a tour group or not - the small/medium sized breakfast area can be very busy until 8:30am and you would need to wait, shower curtain has a musty smell if not aired out properly

Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Must stay in Matsumoto

Fantastic find and a really nice room. Close to the train station. Modern and efficiently outfitted. Laundry rooms available with ample machines unlike some other establishments. Highly recommended. The free desert or ramen each night was great.

The breakfast had a good variety catering for western tastes. The room was too small for 2 people. The double bed had walls on 3 sides, no bedside table and only one bedside wall light. This was not great as my husband uses a Cpac machine when sleeping. Our bags were in the hallway. There was one small chair. We had booked a premium room as we wanted a bigger room after looking at the pictures on Expedia , not sure that's what we got as it was 1 of the 2 smallest rooms on our floor. When we spoke to reception we were told sorry but fully booked. My tip, perhaps book a twin room in this hotel. It was an easy walk from the station though.

Great deal

I have staid in many hotels of the same price class in Japan. This hotel stands out as it clearly offered us a larger room. Nice bathroom. Very friendly staff. I will look for Iroha hotels in the future.

Convenient Hotel to Matsumoto Station

The hotel was very convenient to Matsumoto Station. It is close to restaurants and shopping areas, but also very quiet. The room was spacious for the price. The only con I have is that the bed was a bit hard.

Nice, fresh looking hotel, though as we are traveling quite a lot, they all begin to look alike. This hotel had a bar of hooks on the wall! Great idea, wish all hotels would follow suit. Bed up against the wall, which is awkward for getting in and out of. Staff was friendly and helpful, non English speaking had a pocket translator, had helped us with a smile. Enjoyed Matsumoto, lovely place.

夜のアイスかラーメンのサービスも良かったですし、朝食も美味しかったです。バスルームも広めで使いやすく、きちんと清掃が行きとどいてました。改善を望むところを上げるとするなら、部屋でのWIFIと朝食のクロワッサンの質、またシンプルなドレッシングとしてオリーブオイルとソルトを置いて欲しいです。

お部屋も清潔、新しいホテルなのでとにかく綺麗。

チェックインの時間の前に到着しましたが、部屋に入ることができました。荷物を置くことができて助かりました。タオルやパジャマなど、1人分しか準備がなかったのでフロントで伝えるとすぐに対応してくれてよかったです。駅にも中町通りにも近く便利です。
