Clean, good size bathroom. Easily accessible from the train station. Staff were not always there to assist with the paid for breakfast or at the reception but all in all a good stay for travelers seeing the castle and town for a good price and location.

While I appreciate this is a relatively inexpensive hotel for the area, and it does have a public hot bath on site, the room was tiny and poorly thought out. The night staff looked dejected and a bit stresed, but no knocks on the staff really.

Located on the sixth floor of a building above a large bookstore, this is basically a capsule hotel -- but it also has some larger \"normal\" rooms, which are pretty typical for a Japanese business hotel. (We happened to get the smallest of these, the one room that had a big support pillar running through it, but the rest of the rooms are if anything on the large size for a business hotel.) It's about a five minute walk from the train station, and about 15 minutes from Matsumoto Castle, with plenty of restaurants and shopping available within 5-10 minutes.
The hotel has a public area with some TVs and computers available for use, as well as breakfast and drinks for purchase, and a large selection of manga to read. It also has a medium-sized public bath, in addition to the normal private bathroom included with double (and larger) rooms.
The location is good, the price was low, and everything was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked the cabin type capsule. It bed was dark and quiet. The cabin had a little desk to eat or do some computer surfing. Japanese bath was nice as well. Clean and quiet in general.

This was my first experience of the ‘capsule hotel’ trend and I was blown away! I felt foolish for packing anything when an exhaustive list of amenities (including a double cleansing skin regiment and multiple styles of hair dryers), pyjamas, towels and a laundry room where provided. There was even a library and bar!
My one complaint was that male guests had access to a Japanese communal bath whilst the women’s area went without.

We stayed here for several nights over a 10 day period and found this hotel to be excellent. The staff were all helpful, it was centrally located, had clothes washing facilities, a good breakfast and they were happy to store our large bags when we went walking in the mountains for a few days.

Easy to find hotel. Hotel is very well set up for the foreign traveler. Breakfast however, is not designed for foriegners. So plan to catch breakfast at the French bakery by the train station. I would love to give this place a STELLER review but there was one MAJOR problem. The hotel is so clean, so nice and has over the top amenities including a Sento. Everything about this place is PERFECT except for one MAJOR flaw.
They have an actual room, in the building, NEAR the bunks for SMOKING! Every time someone used the smoking room the smell would drift straight into dorm room C and I could smell it. It was EXTREMELY disgusting and disturbing. I went to bed smelling the cigarette smoke and woke up with it still there. They need to get rid of that room as it’s unacceptable.
