This is a bare bones facility. Would not describe as a hotel, seems more like a rooming house. Very poor signage in front of building when you arrive. Did not help with luggage despite tiny elevator, barely fits 2 people and 2 pieces of luggage. No staff on site after 8pm no breakfast offered. AC never worked, thankfully it was cool with window open. Musty smell in common areas.

Loved the location. We walked to shopping, dining, drug store, groceries etc.. Bus and taxis were right outside our hotel door. It shows its age, but what do you expect from a 500 year old building. Our choice of rooms was nice as far as we had the whole top floor to ourselves but the elevator only went to the floor below us. Other than needing more comfortable chairs in our 2nd room, it was a nice set up. Staff was really friendly

Nazionale 51 was fantastic! The location is unbeatable—walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trastevere, plus plenty of shopping and dining. Our room was very comfortable with wonderfully cool, quiet AC, a huge bathroom, and a convenient mini fridge. Customer service was super sweet and made our stay even better. Highly recommend!

The place was clean and the people working were very nice. The bad: water pressure is not good. Water in shower goes super hot and super cold randomly while showering. It's WAY too hot in this place. Despite being in the dead of summer there was no a/c running in hallways or lobby. Room temp does not work below 22 c- who wants to pay money to sleep like that?! Not me, nor my wife. There is 4 large flights of stairs, did I mention no AC? The elevator is scary, makes sounds and barely fits 2 people. I absolutely would not stay here again.

I felt completely taken advantage of at Nazionale 51. Despite having a fully prepaid reservation, I was denied access to my room and pressured into paying additional charges under duress. Weeks later, the hotel still has not provided any valid documentation to support their claims. The evasive behavior and shifting explanations were extremely concerning and unprofessional.
This was a stressful and disappointing experience - I strongly recommend booking elsewhere.

Great hotel, very close to all the main attractions. Giulio was very helpful when che king us in and during the trip planning. The hotel doesn't have a big elevator so just be aware and be prepared to climb the stairs. Also, we arranged for a pick up from the airport to the hotel through the hotel staff. It was a bit confusing as we wanted a minivan to accommodate 5 of us but was quoted €80 the first time, then €100 the second time, then finally €110, this seemed a little strange. But the driver was fine and pick us up inside the airport. May be worth it to book a shuttle bus or try the subway rather than hiring the driver. Other than that, we enjoyed our hotel stay.

We had a nice stay at this property. At first we thought it was a house, the elevator (lift) is small and oldfashined. Wifi was not reliable and the AC in oir room was not cold enough (a second room we reserved for a friend the AC was fine). The room was clean and the shower was a nice size with great water pressure. Although hotel is in a great location, the hotel was just ok. We stayed 8 days and never saw one staff member. No idea what the other reviews are talking about the wonderful staff and front desk? There is no front desk. We had two rooms & the air conditioning only worked in one of the rooms and it’s HOT in Rome. Which leads me to showering.. I had two days with almost zero water coming out of the shower- like literally tricked. That’s ok cuz we only had hot water for a few days anyways…. Additionally, we stayed 8 days and only got clean towels ONCE & we had to ask for them. The room fridge in both rooms didn’t work at all either.

Excellent location! It is very easy to miss. There is a tiny elevator to go to the floor for hotel. Max 2 people 2 luggage is what we had and thats all that fits. Not a problem for us. When you enter very nice staff to assist. We were early and they allowed us to check in. We went out and there was some rain they allowed us to choose some umbrellas. The room was perfect for couple nights stay. Good size. All you need to sleep and explore the town. Walked all over Rome and Vatican. Never needed a taxi or uber. Only to airport. Lots of places to shop and eat. Memorable experince for my husband and I. Would recommend a stay here. Felt safe and amazing location.

Nice clean comfortable place to stay. Well located for central tourist things being about 15 walk from most things like the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Palazzo Venetia, Termini etc. Obviously it does not have the circulation areas of a regular hotel, lobby, bar, breakfast room etc. so whilst very adequate, it does not offer the full hotel experience.

We stayed at Nazionale51 for the last two nights in Rome on our two week long trip to Italy and it was the best hotel of our trip. Spacious room with a small balcony overseeing busy via Nazionale, there’s a lift that could fit 2 adults with 2 large suitcases. About a 10-15 minute walk from Roma Termino station.
The only thing was the room did get a bit humid and we couldn’t figure out how to dry our clothes because the bathroom stayed pretty damp. But it was the best shower (great water pressure) & a nice big bed. I was also able to get some work done at the small desk and read by the bed. Both Marco and the other front desk man were very helpful and nice.

Staff was very nice when we checked in. However, we did not have hot water for two nights for both of our rooms. Apparently the water heater had some problem. We could not take a shower or do any kind of washing with hot water. The staff did not contact us about it even though they knew about the problem. They also did not respond to my email inquiry through Expedia. I understand that equipment sometimes go bad. But the fact that they did not try to resolve the problem for us was disappointing. Having hot water is one of the most basic requirements in a hotel room. They failed that and didn’t try to mitigate it.

Nazionale 51 - Group was great! It has an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Termini Station in Rome. The place was very clean and even provided slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The only issue was that the hot water in the shower ran out after 10 minutes, so if you're two people, plan to split the time. They were very accommodating with storing our luggage after check-out, allowing us to explore the city without carrying everything around.

There is absolutely no breakfast included as advertised. It was the only reason we chose the property over our 2nd choice for a nearly 2 week long stay. We looked forward to having breakfast on the beautiful ptivate terrace each morning as it was our anniversary trip.

However, we definitely would have gone with our second choice near the Spanish Steps that included a buffet breakfast on their public roof top, had we not been mislead about the included buffet breakfast that they no longer provide. It was inconvenient and made our trip much more expensive.
