three single beds jammed together in small room

Good position but room configuration was not comfortable for three adults

2 singles beds jammed together with another connected long ways at the foot of the bed
Horrible bed configuration for 3 adults. Room was so small Even though we booked for 3 and there was no space for suitcases and getting organised

great location

The rooms are average. We did have a leak in our room ceiling that was tended to right away but must have been there ongoing because there was a musty smell to the room and the ceiling stained (fabreeze helped lol). Breakfast was a cold breakfast probably wouldn't do that option again for the price (pastries, hard boiled egg, yogurt, cereal). The attendant however was very nice and when the coffee machine ran out of cups she let me know about the espresso machines that she could make a cappuccino which she graciously did for me when we came to breakfast each time. The staff were as helpful as they could be with language barrier, even helped us call our shuttle for us and had a wine bottle opener for us. We were locked in the lobby one day for about 5mins but got out in time lol. An ice machine would have been very nice and a coffee tea spot for daytime. The only real complaint was the shower door was a half glass door and the open side splashed the toilet tissue and the towels were a little scratchy. The location is the best part of this hotel VERY central to walk to most everything. I little market across the street for sodas and snacks was nice. We would stay again.

Excellent location for visiting Rome

When we first arrived we were too early for checking in so we were informed we could leave our suitcases on level 1 but it wasn't a secured storage area. As we had all out valuable items with us we did and went an explored the local area. A few hours later we were able to check in only to discover we had been allocated a small double room instead of the standard double room we paid for. When we brought this to the receptionists attention, she was very apologetic and moved us straight away.

The room was very clean and extremely comfortable and we had a Juliette balcony which overlooked the street. We had fresh towels every day and replacement shampoo and body wash samples. The only negative point would be the pillows. We requested 2 more pillows but probably could have down with 4 more (3 each) as they were quite flat.

For breakfast we had a choice of 3 different types of cereal, croissants, a variety of cakes, toast, rolls, cold meat and cheese. There was a good selection of jams and Nutella. There was a Nespresso coffee machine with 5 different types of coffee to choose from.

The location was excellent, with a 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum, and Trevi fountain. About a 30 minute walk to Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. The Vatican and the Castle Saint D'Angelo was probably around 45 minutes to an hour away, depending how quickly you walked.

There was a convenient supermarket nearby and plenty of souvenir shops to choose from.

Average hotel in good location

We booked a room for 4 nights but on arrival we noticed a few things wrong with the room, just small things but still frustrating. The in room safe couldn't be opened, bulb missing from floor lamp, TV channels not working etc. The shower was also really bad as in no pressure so it took me about 10 mins to rinse shampoo completely from my hair! We mentioned these problems on the first night but were told nothing could be done about them until the following day. Went back to the girl on reception the following morning and she gave us a different room. The safe still didn't work but everything else was an improvement! The breakfast was ok and more than just a croissant and coffee that some hotels I looked at were offering. However, on the last morning we were obviously the last to go for breakfast 20mins before it finished and there was only cereal and croissants left, they had run out of everything else!! The location is good and the building itself is quite nice, the decor in the corridors and stairs was quite quirky. The night porter was a lovely friendly man who let us in the front door when we returned late at night. Overall it was ok but they just need to keep on top of the minor maintenance issues.

Room VERY small

We booked the small double room and I can confirm that it was really small. There was not a wardrobe and there was not even place to open the suitcase. Additionally the shower courtain was old and dirty. We asked receptionist if it was possible to change the room, but she said that all rooms were booked (in spite of the fact that I found free rooms in internet).
The positive things were the location and the breakfast.

Modern conveniences, great location, smelly AC

We stayed in the junior suite for 2 nights. The room was modern and very tidy. We especially loved the modern bathroom and awesome shower, but disappointed that the balcony was shared with the breakfast area, which allowed no privacy on the balcony in the morning. The biggest problem we had was with the AC. The room was sweltering when we arrived and had to work with the front desk multiple times to have it actually turn on. Once it did finally start working, it pumped bathroom/sulfur smells into the room. We also brought this up to reception and they said they'd have a technician come look at it, but when we returned, it still smelled bad. It smelled badly for the rest of our stay.

Hotel was centrally located to metro and a lot of great sites and restaurants. The staff was nice, aside from a snotty attitude from the woman at the front desk and getting locked IN the hotel by another worker(apparently they do this daily when they get the croissants for the Bfast buffet).

Grossest hotel, when in Rome don't stay here

To start our experience at this hotel we were told check in wasn't until 4pm which is untrue. We had to leave our bags out in the lobby without security, so we didn't waste the day sitting in the hotel lobby. The room was truly gross, just look at the pictures. There were stains everywhere and each morning there were crawling bugs that came from the holes in the walls of the bathroom. Rome is magical don't tarnish your experience by staying this less than 1 star hotel.

Kind of B&B for S small size peeple...

Access to it is a little difficult since you have to climb twelve/fifteen or more high steps with your luggage.Obviously exit is much trickier because you can fall headlong..
There is not a lobby, but a very little space where the concierge is situated along with a a small, soft seat with no back for 2 persons,
We were given a very small room
It was so small, that it was not possible for us ( two people) to spend the night and use the facilities together. In order to avoid extra international calls to London to Hotel.com, useless talks and complains from both sides on a saturday evening, one of us had to leave and sleep in another hotel nearby.
The bathroom was extremely small and there were only two towels (for shower and hands), which is the ultimate proof that the room was a SINGLE room.
It looked like the hotel was made for hobbits, fairy tales dwarfs or for S small size people..
The noise of the street was so loud that at night it was very difficult to sleep.
On the second day of our stay, we were given a bigger room.
WiFI was another major issue, since you have to set your cellular phone with the security number to be found on the screen of the TV set : any time you switch the TV on and off, you have to set it back accordingly...A true nightmare....
The breakfast on the terrace was just ok, but the lady in charge was very gentle.
The room was not cheap at all at $ 120 per night.

Stayed for 4 nights. Was very pleased with the hotel service. Staff was very helpful, kind and informative. Breakfast was \"okay\" given that it was free with my room.
The construction in the next door building did not bother me, since id be up when they started and back way after they were done.

Once great, now not so much

We had stayed here 3 years ago and liked it a lot. This time however the place was runned down. The lift wasnt working our room smelled like sewage at night! We opened the windows to air it out and or was ok. I don't think we'll be back.

Great hotel near Termini and Trevi Fountain

Great hotel. It isn't updated on the outside but once you enter the rooms are modern, large and very clean. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The location was near Termini station and walking distance to the Trevi Fountain as well as restaurants.

I stayed here for four nights. Originally booked for two, but extended for two more. The room we had first was a good size, but the room we moved into for the last two nights was quite small. It's an OK hotel, nothing special. A good enough location for the tourism sights. I was annoyed a when returning late one morning that the consierge was on his tour-watch of the hotel for 25 mins so we were unable to get into the building! Otherwise, adequate.

Nice contemporary hotel close to main attractions

Nice Hotel, very friendly staff. Very Accommodating. Small hotel with no frills but perfect for those wanting to be close to all Rome's most popular sights. The hotel has just been remodeled and was still under construction but it was not overwhelming on the experience of the hotel. The lovely lady that works on the terrace for breakfast is absolutely amazing very pleasant doesn't speak much English but knows exactly what you want when you ask. After breakfast she even goes on to clean the rooms as well on top of doing the breakfast service. Amazing woman. Thanks for making our stay amazing!!

Close to everything...Nice Hotel

We stayed at the Opera Hotel for 2 nights, at the beginning of September of this year, and the location of this hotel is awesome. Piazza de la Republica, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Novona, Piazza Venecia, and even the Coliseo, among other points of interest are within walking distance. There are many restaurants, and shops near the hotel.
The hotel daily breakfast is nice, they even have cappuccinos daily. Room was of good size, comfortable, clean, and a big restroom and shower. Hotel staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. We arrived around 10 in the morning from a cruise and they were nice enough to assing us a room that early. The only thing was, we found some little bugs on the bed and had to clean it, other than that, I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again when in Rome.

Small, but we expected that and didn't need anything more. We spent very little time in our room anyway.

Price was a little higher than I would have liked but overall we were very happy with our experience and would go back to the Opera Hotel again.

Wanted to stay

Fantastic hotel, fantastic city, and what a view!!! Wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is located on one of their busy streets, so it's very noisy. Restaurant's located near-by were very accomodating and friendly. Didn't realize how close we were to many attractions, so look at map closely before setting off to avoid going around the long way!! Need a good pair of walking shoes as the streets are up/downhill and many roads are cobbled. What a City!!!

This Opera is located in a very good location and we had a great time in Rome coz everything is in a walking distance even the metro and the busses stop directly infronth of the hotel. The rooms are small but very new and clean. Thumbs up for me and the staff should get a medal as they are so limited but they do deliver.

Lovely hotel, very central position - could walk to most sites, but if not buses good and not expensive.
Hotel itself modern, clean, lovely helpful staff, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Rooms small and bathrooms, perfect but absolutely tiny. No room to swing cats! Also be aware that all rooms overlook a very busy thoroughfare so though triple glazing, you still hear the hum of traffic. Breakfast on lovely terrace, adequate but again the staff made the experience that much more pleasurable.

The location of the hotel was excellent, 5mins from train station and bus stop for tour bus,Spar shop across the road and loads of lovely shops and restaurants near by...all in all we had a great holiday in rome and i would recommend this hotel to anyone..

It was a very nice hotel but the rooms were very small. Upon check-in the lady at the desk knew the room had already been paid in-full; however, at check-out we had a different lady who tried to charge us again. When we explained it was already paid, she didn't know how to verify that and tried to keep us there until somebody else showed up who could help her (which was not possible since we had flights to catch). If I didn't have the print-out from the hotels.com website as proof it was paid, we would have been recharged for the room.

At one point the air conditioning started leaking. We called the front desk and were told there were no other rooms available. I'm not sure if maintenance was ever called or not. For the whole stay we had to have a trash can sitting under the a/c to prevent ruining the carpet.

The hotel is nice and the location is great but I still don't think it was worth the cost.

The Opera Hotel in Rome, good value for money.

We were 3 ladies sharing a room and were very impressed. Our room was renovated with lovely funky decorations and a flat screen TV, once you close your window you can't hear the busy street, the breakfast was more than we expected. Lovely roof garden with muesli, coffee, yoghurt, ham, cheese, fruit, juice etc. The location is great!! Easy walk to Metro, Tremini, Opera Theatre and the surroundings is safe and lots of tourists. Great shopping and restaurants and a easy walk then you are at the Trevi. (Colloseum also within walking distance). When we go back will stay there again. Staff very friendly.

Sehr zentrale Lage, dafür eher unterdurchschnittliche Ausstattung, defekte Dusche, teilweise Schimmel im Bad, sowie weitere Probleme.
Das Frühstück hingegen war in Ordnung, wenn auch mit zu wenig Personal ausgestattet.
Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen.

1）the location is great, supermarket, shops and restaurants nearby.
2) the room floor was really dirty and dusty. They don’t even swept the floor because I found small sheet of paper, very obvious dust balls and a ballpen on the floor. Those things were easy to spot you won’t miss it if cleaner really do her job! I could’t Stand it, I immediately used the wet tissues to wipe the floor by myself!
3) we booked the 3 persons room ( we had 4 persons, 2 was child) , we doubled confirm with the front desk, could my youngest child have free breakfast, she replied yes since he just 4 yrs old, however when we checked out , the other front dest staff insisted to change for the b’fast fee for my child. We just pay for it finally cos we didn’t want to argue anymore.

Hotel bem localizado, limpo, quarto de bom tamanho, assim como o banheiro. Moderno e bonito. Hotel bem pequeno. Chegamos antes do horário do check In, e não havia local para deixar as malas. A atendente nos orientou a deixá-las no meio do corredor de entrada. Não havia banheiro para os hóspedes utilizarem fora do quarto, mas nos ofereceram o banheiro dos funcionários. Café da manhã gostoso, sem muitas opções. Hotel simples mas bom custo beneficio.

Først det negative: AC på rommet og avtrekk på bad virket ikke, treg spyling i toalettet, og hårføner som kortsluttet pga uisolerte ledninger(!), samt at første natt var dobbeltbooket hvor vi ble geleidet til et annet rom litt lenger ned i gata.
Det positive var at resepsjonen var hjelpsom, rommet var generelt i grei stand og var rent. Plasseringen til hotellet er veldig sentralt og det var kort vei til alle attraksjoner samt terminalen.

Cassaforte non funzionante, mai offerta una soluzione - dicono che lo sapevano già ma purtroppo il tecnico non sarebbe potuto arrivare. Solo in tarda mattinata del giorno antecedente la partenza offrono cambio camera.. e se le camere erano tutte così tanto valeva restare lì e godersi il sole di Roma.
Ventilazione a soffitto con strati di polvere; capelli sulle lezuola non nostri; asciugamani logori e con i buchi; saponetta usata da altri ospiti abbandonata sul contorno murale della doccia e mai tolta; muffa nera sul piatto doccia; assenza di coprimaterasso e lenzuolo appoggiato direttamente sul materasso molto vecchio.
Unica nota positiva del soggiorno la posizione strategica per visitare Roma.

Grazioso albergo in centro a Roma

Hotel confortevole, camera ben rifinita e soprattutto molto pulita. Buona la colazione servita sulla terrazza dell'hotel, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Quando mi troverò di nuovo a Roma per lavoro di sicuro ritornerò all'Opera.

Stanza piccola, ma confortevole con tutto il necessario e divano con vista su Roma. Bella esperienza la colazione in veranda sui tetti della città. Purtroppo, abbastanza degradato il contorno urbano, nonostante si sia lungo una delle principali vie di Roma e vicino al Ministero degli Interni (Viminale): troppa gente abbandonata in strada e degrado della realtà commerciale, composta perlopiù da negozi \"ad uso turisti\" o \"ad uso immigrati\" (in nessuno dei due casi sono locali, che rendono merito alla città...)

Modern hotel met een centrale ligging!

4 dagen in de prachtige stad Rome gehad, een prima hotel met een perfecte ligging!
