When chatting to staff online they were extremely helpful.

However our experience inhouse was a bit odd. we sat near the fountain and ate a sandwhich when a member of staff approached us and said we could not bring outside food in. the house rules are odd and restrictive - not sure what we are paying for other than a bed? also costs to store your baggage after check out.

i had booked three private rooms and request for them to be near each other but it wasn't the case.

additionally at night it so loud and noisey from the bar it was hard to fall asleep. wouldn't recommend it for families

It would have been a 5 star if the rooms were all girls or all guys. I knew it was a co-ed hotel, but didn’t realize it was co-ed rooms. The guy in the room brings his one nightstand into room at 2 in the morning. How embarrassing. I hauled ass out of room, as early the next morning, as I could.

I want to start by saying i think the concept of the hotel is brilliant but i think little tweaks are needed for the non hostel side. A fridge is a must and coffee /tea facilities aside from having to access them within the €12.50 breakfast would be great too. The hotel has a lot of rules the majority of which are great - no noise, alcohol in rooms and corridors etc but not being able to eat in your room? A bit rediculous if youve walked allover rome and have brought a nice sandwich or something back with you. Location is brilliant- walkable to everything did 70,000 steps in 3 days . I got this hotel at a steal - worth noting the terrace rooms arent private its looked upon by dormitories and other rooms. If i got the same price i would maybe stay again but for me theres better out there with the facilities mentioned

Overall, the entire experience was really good. It was clean, the room was spacious, staff were friendly and efficient and the hostel offered additional spaces to lounge around in. I was particularly appreciative of the personal blinds for privacy.


I am however docking a star as the room temperature was really warm even after adjusting the thermostat. I opened the windows to let a breeze in but there was so much noise coming from the busy streets outside. The shower temperature would also fluctuate between hot and warm every couple seconds. The mattresses were covered in a material similar to plastic so the sheets would slide off and if you are a light sleeper, everyone's toss and turns would be heard.

This was my first experience staying at a hostel. It’s not your typical hostel because it was actually super nice and had most of the amenities. Overall I had a good experience here. Got to meet a lot of new friends from all around the world. This place is a great location and walking distance to mostly everything. Was the main reason why I booked it.

JO&JOE was actually a very nice place. Friendly staff, good food, amazing drinks… at least for me my only issue was some of the people that I shared a room with. It sounded like someone was singing at 4 in the morning. And someone had the audacity to turn the main room light on when some people were sleeping. But other than the actual people staying, cause I know that’s not the facilities fault, The place was phenomenal but I would very much book my own personal room. Other than that I would very highly recommend and stay at this place again.

It was my first experience travelling solo internationally and staying in a hostel and wow they blown my mind. The staff was always nice and kind to me, always available. The food in their restaurant and the breakfast always super good and delicious. The atmosphere and the people there was always so nice. Really it was one on my most amazing experience ever. Even walking around to mayor attractions and places was enjoyable. Safe place and area to walk around too. I highly recommend them.

The place is very well thought, from the rooms, the bathrooms, the laundry room (which is very well priced), restaurant, social areas. And the staff is very nice (Mike, Flo and the rest). Close to Repubblica metro station. Nitpick, but the mattress cover is of fake leather which can get hot, but there is an AC unit in the room.

Proximity to city centre, room has bad smell

Proximity to city center, colosseum is just 10 minutes walk away, so as the Trevi fountain, Pantheon and other major sightseeings.

The room is clean but the double bed room at 5F has very bad smell of rotten moisture and lack of toilet ventilation.

No table/desk in the room.

You have to pay for luggage storage, €2 per hour in their lockers. But lockers are limited in quantity , no more empty space at around 10am check out time.

If I had planned further in advance, I would not have stayed here and would not stay here again, however - the staff is great, the property is unique (a former monastery), and it's very accessible. Sharing a room with others will always be a compromise, but noise carries from room to room and from the bathroom. The bunkbeds in shared rooms are made of composite plywood and between those and the mattresses, they generate a lot of noise. Breakfast is cheap for 10E if purchased when you check in and there are a lot of options, but it's the same thing each time. The food is great and well priced. Plenty of great things to say about this space for the price compared to what else was available during the Easter jubilee.

The place was very clean, great environment, amazing bar setup and cosy rooms. The only issue I had was with the front desk staff, when I checked in I asked for the bottom bed instead the top one and the two girls at the front desk started talking in their language (I didn’t understand what they were talking but can tell that they were talking bad about me) and refused me to give the bottom bed. When I asked them to check again they been rude to me and said they are fully booked, after some discussion they gave me the bottom bed. One of the bottom bed in my room was unsold so they definitely lied to me. But the morning front desk staff was friendly and helpful, I was happy with his service.

Arrived at 10pm to learn my room was unavailable due to a water leak. I was told I'd be called a courtesy taxi to another nearby hostel free of charge for the night. The new hostel was far from where I needed to be and I ended up on the hook to pay for the taxi, and did not receive any response as to how I'd be reimbursed. I get that unpredictable things happen, but I really would've appreciated knowing any of this in advance so that I could have arranged a refund or alternative travel plans.

I am not a big fan of hostels as some people tend to be noisy and not respectful but that wasn't the case there and I slept like a baby during my 4 nights there! Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! So modern and clean! My roommates were also incredible which is probably just lucky but the value for your money is amazing. I recommend this hostel to everyone who values cleanliness, kind staff at all hours of that day (even when I asked for a towel at 4:30 in the morning) and having a hostel conveniently located a maximum 15 minute walk from every major tourist attraction in Rome! A localização da hospedagem é impecável! Consegui caminhar até a Fontana de Trevi diversas vezes pois só precisava de 10min, os quartos são bem organizados e o locker de bagagens é bem grande. Os funcionários são muito gentis e oferecem welcome drink, com certeza me hospedaria novamente

O hostel é simplesmente LINDO! Fiquei encantada assim que cheguei! O atendimento no balcão foi maravilhoso também!

Porém o café da manhã, independente do horário (fui em vários horários para verificar se não era isso) era sempre de má qualidade, com as comidas parecendo que estavam velhas ou dormidas.

As camas do quarto são de madeira e o teto também, o que faz com que qualquer barulho seja MUITO perceptível, qualquer um que se movesse na cama a noite era possível ouvir, passos no andar de cima também….. Enfim, era barulhento.

Era apenas um banheiro para 8 pessoas, o que tornou o banheiro pela manhã congestionado, fazendo com que eu tivesse que esperar 20 minutos para tomar banho. Além disso, a limpeza do banheiro não é todo dia, o que fez com que o banheiro (que era dividido para oito pessoas) ficasse num estado não tão legal.

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet Hostel qui a un restaurant et un bar ouvert jusqu’à 23h30 avec une très belle terrasse et des animations sont proposés.
La chambre était toujours propre, pensez seulement à bien prendre tout vos produits .
Un petit point négatif : il n’y a pas de chauffage donc impossible de régler la température dans la chambre bien qu’il n’y faisait pas si froid

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, praktisch recht nah gelegen am Bahnhof Roma Termini und unweit zum Colosseum. Hostelzimmer sehr großzügig geschnitten mit viel Privatsphäre.
Besser wäre nur noch einen Föhn und mehr Ablageflächen auf dem Zimmer / im Bad

Gostei bastante do quarto, do banheiro e limpeza. A área do terraço é muito bacana e bate bastante sol. O pessoal do quarto foi bem silencioso.
A área de convivência é muito linda e bacana.
Os atendentes são muito gentis.
O café da manhã é pago e razoável. De qq forma acho que vale a pena.
O que não gostei: As toalhas são pagas. E para deixar a mala por algumas horas após o check out também. Faltou uma mesinha no quarto para colocar algumas coisas.
