Had a great couple nights at this hotel. Beautiful scenery, nice pool, and room was clean. Breakfast was amazing with lots of nice options. I had a free welcome drink which I redeemed at the bar. I chose a cocktail that was amazing! However, when askec if i could sit at a table close to the water they weren't the friendliest as they made me sit in the back in a not so convenient spot where staff were coming and going. This made me feel a bit unwelcomed especially that I was a guests staying at the hotel. While I was extremely impressed with my room and the beautiful view. I do think communication can improve.

Beautiful hotel despite apppearance from the street. Gardens were amazing as was the food. Need new lounge chairs around the pool as the ones there were almost impossible to get in and out of. Everyone very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic stay. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Breakfast was exceptional - hot and cold options, local and French inspired and all home made. The passion fruit maritozzi were a particular favourite. Great to have access to bikes. Beautiful setting convenient for Luang Prabang.

This hotel is in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. Just stunning. It's a short walk away from the main street of LP. We did an OTW which was really nice. The only drawback was there was street noise during the day. Construction, music, voices...not sure if it was just our room (100). The bed was very comfy, the shower great, and they constantly refreshed our water bottles which was really nice. Breakfast was plentiful, and while it didn't vary much from day to day there were plenty of amazing choices. Had lunch in the hotel restaurant one day, and dinner another. Fabulous food, in just an incredible lilypad setting. So beautiful! Would def stay here again.

Le lieu est magnifique! Beaucoup de végétation, étangs, etc.
Le personnel est très gentil, courtois et aidant.
Bémols cependant: nous avions réservé particulièrement pour la piscine. Mais elle n’était pas ouverte et on en a été informées qu’à notre arrivée. Aussi, même si l’hôtel était presque vide, on nous a placées dans une chambre à côté de quelques sites de travaux (construction d’une bâtisse adjacente, maintenance de la piscine et autres réparations sur le site de l’hôtel) et donc il était impossible de profiter de notre patio en raison des bruits forts et incessants de la machinerie. Nous avons même dû mettre des bouchons pour faire une sieste.
Bref, une superbe hôtel mais nous n’avons pu en profiter pleinement. Si nous avions su, nous aurions réservé ailleurs.

A Hidden Jewel In Luang Prabang

When you arrive at the entrance to Maison Dalabua your heart skips a beat as the entrance is underwhelming. But after a few paces stepping inside the modest reception area you are led to your room through an exquisite tropical garden resplendent with lotus ponds. The room is tastefully decorated with fine Laotian touches. The patio leads out to the pool, the aircon is quiet and cool and a welcome after a two day river trip down the Mekong. The staff bend over backwards to make your stay a real five star experience. When it comes to dining you soon discover that the best restaurant in town is in your hotel. You sit at a table under the moonlight that reflects in the lotus and lily ponds. It is an oriental vision inspired by Claude Monet's Water Lillies. It is a scene so fittingly Laotian and Gallic.
Come breakfast time, the same restaurant is the venue for a Laotian, French or Western petit dejeuner, enjoyed in fine surroundings with attentive staff.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The property has a beautiful garden & pond. The breakfast variety offering is good. The walk to the night market was somewhat far. I felt the hotel was a little pricey relative to the local economy. I was charged extra to use a Visa on sight for an additional room. The room rate was the same had I booked thru Expedia & without the surcharge. I was asked to return the little complimentary coffee and tea container at checkout so they can recycle the container. the tea and coffee was placed in a little bag instead. It was the little container with the label that added memory. Again given the cost of the hotel, relatively speaking, I don’t feel that should have been an event.

Can it get any better?

We had an absolute fabulous stay at Maison Dalabua. The hotel is simply stunning – it looks exactly like in the pictures, except when you're there, you're just wowed by how everything comes together.

The interior is simple with a nod to Laos culture, it feels calm and serene. You could easily not go anywhere and spend the day at the hotel. The exterior is just wonderful, you're surrounded by greenery and lotus ponds – the restaurant area is the most specular.

The food was amazing, especially the breakfast, with endless options of food to choose between, where some items are different everyday, so no one day is the same. I highly recommend the rice pudding!

The service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. The airport pick-up service was smooth, laundry was picked up promptly and returned the same day. Room was always clean and so was the overall feel of the hotel. The pool was great with towels and refreshments at hand. Enjoy between 10-2pm when it's least busy.

You're a short walk from the night market and as you turn around the corner from the hotel you're on the main road that takes you down all the main attractions and restaurants.

What was great is that you're so close to the hustle and bustle but then you return to this little oasis away from the noise – it's the best! I can't recommend this hotel enough, and I would 100% return in the future.

The boutique hotel was surrounded by lily ponds and bridges and very cool Laos art. So close to walk to town and the night market. Transportation to the waterfall or the airport was easy, a comfy mini-van - and all reasonably priced. The spa was magnificent - I had an excellent massage. Breakfast buffet great - excellent Lao food and they also own a nearby superb French restaurant. Check out the new not far away Tropical Mekong cafe that recently opened - the best for sunsets - and very trendy outdoor hang.

Nice property and staff, but we had the overwater bungalow and it was very noisy from the lane just outside our door. There was very little in the way of soundproofing so you could hear every conversation late into the night and every passing motorbike early in the morning. The view of the pond was obstructed by tall grasses and I felt the price for the bungalow wasn’t really worth it.

Caucasian manager was rude. Did not assist her subordinate who was so defensive for their mistakes. When documents were delivered to the front desk for guest, they kept it for days & when asked said no document despite delivery guy taking their photo eith the document!

Beautiful property with gorgeous lily ponds. Staff very helpful, breakfast nice, bikes (though not very well maintained) are available free of charge. The pool and loungers are nice, but there was no bar to order drinks from. The most important things about the hotel are the rooms — my original room was super dark and not very welcoming feeling (though it did have a nice terrace overlooking one of the ponds. The room I was upgraded to through the VIP status was fantastic, full of light and very comfortable. So I’d advise you to try to book the more expensive room types or to try to ask for upper level rooms.

But there should be a sign on the in room tea & coffee that you cannot take it with you, as it was very embarrassing when it was requested while checking out!. They were very tasty and I was told I could get refills anytime so I did not think it would be a problem to keep the leftovers.

Beautiful hotel that feels like a small village. It is located within walking distance of Phou Si and the night market, however it is far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian options. Bicycles are available to borrow as well, if you get tired of walking.

From the street one could never imagine that Maison Dalabua hides a secluded oasis with a beautiful lily pond and lush gardens filled with a great range of tropical climate flora including many varieties of orchids. Such a pleasant surprise. Our over-water bungalow was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the lily pond and the peacefulness of Luang Prabang. I also highly recommend that when staying at Maison Dalabua you book a table at the adjoining restaurant. Independently run, but connected to the hotel it offers magnificently presented Laos traditional and fusion choices all served with great finesse. The hotel is also conveniently located to wake early and walk up to the main road to observe the alms collecting of the saffron robed monks - a 'must do activity' in Luang prabang.

I had such a great relaxing time staying in this hotel. With the stunning garden and pool, you can relax and keep yourself calm all the time. Around the hotel is pretty quiet so you can sleep well. I love the breakfast the most! It was such a lovely time hearing the birds and enjoying tasty homemade food!

I am not inclined to give reviews about my stays, but I must do an exception because both my wife and I were gladly surprised for the quality of the service and the nice facilities of this hotel. Beautiful lotus pond, swimming pool, delicious breakfast, nice and very attentive staff. We were able to get all we needed just asking to the front desk or to any friendly face in the hotel. We hired with the hotel a boat trip along the Mekong river, very nice service surprised us with lunch on local food. Luang Prabang is such a magical town, surrounded by mountains, full of temples and the mixed of colonial french and local Lao architecture. We definitely recommend Maison Dalabua and would gladly go back to enjoy a very relaxing moment with them.

Our room was beautiful - super clean, and the shower was heaven! The property is so well maintained, the ponds are gorgeous and the pool was refreshing after a hot Luang Prabang day.
The hotel provides free bikes (which were super helpful as we visited the temples). We also booked a tour through the hotel to the Kuang Si falls and our driver was incredible - I highly recommend it. He packed us towels, water and stopped at the buffalo farm for us to get ice cream on the way back.
Breakfast was a 10/10 - lots of options, great fresh fruit and super delicious juices.

We loved Maison Dalubua - the waterlily ponds were beautiful and restful. The breakfast and the attached restaurant were wonderful and delicious. Service was great - we arranged a couple of day trips with the front desk and they were great! All positive!

Incredible grounds- beautiful and romantic

Wow! This really surpassed our expectations. The water lily ponds and grounds overall were amazing. The pool was lovely, the restaurant was picturesque. Loved the artwork throughout the property. It was a short walk to the night market and into town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back someday!

Lovely place to stay.

Fantastic grounds and setting for breakfast and dinner. Lovely staff. Free bike hire. Room however dark because curtains have stay drawn for privacy. Bath robes would be a welcome addition.

I have traveled to over 125 countries, and this hotel is one of the most special I have ever been to, due primarily to the Unesco lily pond where we had breakfast each morning. The service was excellent. For example, my husband asked for soy milk and the hotel made it just for him in their kitchen! I would go back there and spend several months if I could.

A great place to stay in Luang Prabang

This is a lovely resort— beautifully landscaped with UNESCO protected lily ponds. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely spread of local savoury and sweet dishes and fruits.

Beautiful hotel though there's a construction going on during the day time on the first floor during the period of my stay. Overall is good, staff are friendly. The lotus pond is beautiful. The food is soso, the tastes was adapted for foreigners and therefore very mild.

Great Stay in Luang Prabang

The hotel was great. It was a quick weekend getaway and the hotel is conveniently located so that you can walk everywhere you want to go. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended! The restaurant was fabulous both for evening meals and breakfast.
