Hospitality was the best feature at this hotel. The room was big but it was not really pool view in terms of the view. Also very smoky because the neighborhood was burning or cooking. You constantly smell it. During the night I had a difficulty to breath.
Our room was very back of the property and close to the neighborhood.

I splurged and booked a pool access room. This was a great investment and I could easily read or have coffee just outside my door.
Service and communication of the hotel were excellent. Location is a 15 minute walk from downtown but they do provodw shutes. The walk is easy.
If you stay more than 2 nights the airport shuttle is free. Airport only 15 minutes away.
I ate at the restaurant several times and the food was great.
Happy hour by the pool every afternoon.
The spa has sauna and hot tub and massages available. I partook and enjoyed.
Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel and great breakfast buffet. They even bake fresh bread from scratch every day. I think they do that with all the bakery items and things. Very nice hotel and great vibe and lovely staff. We loved having the shuttle buggy into town - so wonderful. You text them on WhatsApp when and where you want to be picked up, in the town area. And they would arrive in under 10 minutes most times. Amazing. (And you just go to the car area or front desk to ask to be driven somewhere). No limit to how many rides you get each day. Really loved this. Also love how you can rent a car right from the premises too.

The only thing - room G05 had a smelly smell in the bathroom - drains, I believe. We had two rooms. The other was fine.

Muok the customer experience lady has stellar English, if you need anything - she can even understand very fast Australian accent.

The spa was lovely and the staff. 10/10 - just fix the drain hehe. And also, maybe bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap because they have a red-liquid one that didn't make my hair shine and seemed a bit supermarket-y, not luxury quality. Otherwise, MyBanLao would be 11/10 for me. Great, clean pool too. Not heated though (?) My kids said it wasn't heated. I didn't swim.

We loved this hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff from driver to reception and everybody we met along the way is greeting us. It has a spacious bathroom, with separate bath tub and shower room and comfortable bed and a balcony fronting the pool. The bath tub has remote control for the glass wall. Free transfers from and to airport and free transfers during the day with vintage car and golf cart at night to night market and Mekong river, very convinient. Efficient front desk when we checked in. He informed us everything we need to know and the bell boy who showed us the amenities and everything inside the room. Highly recommended and we’re staying here again when we get back.

Pretty much everything was perfect. Lovely room opening onto pool. Beautiful and spotlessly clean surroundings. Excellent breakfast menu. Such attentive staff. Shuttle rides to and from the town centre on demand. Complimentary airport pick-up/drop-off. So many little touches. Housekeeping would com in and even fold clothes if left on bed or chair. Reception came over to us in lobby rather than have us wait at desk to check in, and then came out to wave us off as we keft with a little gift of biscuits.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all amazing. Ask to go anywhere nearby or be picked up nearby is easy to arrange. All done with a gracious smile and a chat with the staff.
Breakfast is ok as it is buffet style so the food is not always as hot as you'd like it to be.
All in all a wonderful experience.

Exceptional Hotel in the heart of Luang Prabang

Cannot fault this hotel, everything was perfect. Free shuttles to the night market and back via whatsapp .. modern but authentic bedrooms, quality bedding and modern bathroom, reasonable prices at the bar! in a quiet area of LP yet with so much to walk to locally and scooters and cars to hire from the hotel, getting around could t be easier. We saw many of the other hotels we considered and not a patch on Mybanlao.

My only gripe is I wish there could be more of an “adults only’ area as I am slightly allergic to children screaming outside my bedroom at 6am

This is the best hotel in luang prabang, imo this is a 5 star hotel, not 4 star, everything was just perfect, the staff are all very welcoming and helpful, from the receptionasit, to the drivers and the housekeepers, the room was super clean, very modern and big, the pool is also very clean and looks beautiful, they have free shuttle to the city from 6am to 4pm which is such a nice addon, they also provide free shuttle to the night market, and on top of that they provided us a free mini van ride to the train station on our checkout day, honestly I don't know what more can they provide, this hotel is just perfection, well done to everyone working in this hotel.

Was an excellent hotel, they truly cared about there guest. Very convenient pick up and drop off vehicle to the city. Also a free ride to the train station. I was very pleased with my stay here. Only thing i didnt like was the bathroom floor, it can get slippery when wet. They did provide a sandal. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay in luang prabang. 2 thumbs up.

The hotel is beautiful with modern conveniences. The staff was very warm and friendly. The building is near the outskirts of Luang Prabang but the hotel has a complimentary taxi service to take clients to the night market and other destinations within the city. The breakfast is quite good. There is a restaurant with a diverse menu as well as a cafe serving drinks and pastries. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I return to the city.

Our stay of 8 nights was amazing. One of the best hotels we have been in South East Asia. The rooms are well furnished and confortable. The staff is kind and pro active. This was the worst property I have ever stayed at!. It appeared to be abandoned when we pulled in to the parking lot. The rooms were run down, the entire facility was in very poor condition. PLEASE AVOID THIS PRORTY.

Wow, my family and I had a 10/10 experience at this hotel! We only stayed for one night but wished we could’ve stayed longer because of how amazing everything was. I originally booked two rooms for my husband and I, my parents and my cousin but I had another relative join us so we ended up having to add a last minute room and they were extremely accommodating! They were also able to arrange for a car to pick us up from the train station even though I requested for one just a few hours before our arrival time which we appreciated. The rooms were very spacious well kept and up to date, with plenty of toiletries, slippers, pool sandals, robes available for use. And they also included a welcome drink and free mini bar in the room. What really made things easy for us was having access to a shuttle service to city center! It was so quick and easy to use. I highly recommend adding the breakfast add on to your room - everything was delicious, especially the khao soi which even impressed my Lao mom (who is very hard to please.) Whenever we return to LP we are definitely plan on staying here again.

Wonderful staff, beautiful property, great area, easy to walk to the city center and night market. Amazing place to stay!

This was one of the most incredible places we have stayed. We had a swim in, swim out room which exceeded our expectations. The whole hotel resort is stunning and the staff are incredibly friendly. My Ban Lao is more expensive than other places on the area but we thought it was worth every penny.

We also made use of the spa which was very well priced and we had some amazing treatments.

The bistro and cafe on site was also fantastic.

The hotel offers free taxi services throughout your stay and the staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating.

The room was comfortable, and the gym was exceptional, probably one of the best gyms I have seen at any of the hotels I have stayed at in this region. From my first arrival, we were greeted with a cold towel to wash our hands with and a cold glass of some thing like tea. First impression was fantastic everybody smiled and was very helpful. The pool area was fantastic, and there was always an attendant there to help us with refreshments and food. They gave us a ride to the town Square several times and to the airport, the service and the restaurant was excellent as well as the food! The day was epic and quite a bargain!

Only complaint is the shower area always flooded and the closet don’t even have extra pillow or blanket which should be a standard.

This hotel is beautiful, I couldn't find any fault, only the coffee was not to our taste. Breakfast was plentiful with reasonable amount of choices. The staff are attentive and friendly. We had courtyard king room, it was very spacious modern room, clean and well thought out design. We loved our room.
The pool was cool and again beautiful design with comfy lounges. They have a large pond with turtles, fish and water lily's. They are a little far from town, but that doesn't matter because they have electric cars to drop and pick you up in. We would definitely come back to this hotel it was one of our favourites.

It is a beautiful hotel with large rooms. However we feel the service of the hotel could be improved: 1) the wifi password on the keycard was wrong and there is no phone in the room to call you need to walk to the front desk to check. 2) the staff did not tell us mini-bar is free, shuttle to town is provided upon check-in. we had to find out about these things by ourselves (strangely) 3) cleaning staff left some dirty cloth in our room for 2 days.. 4) breakfast table was not properly cleaned and the staff just used a piece of tissue paper to wipe it quickly when I pointed it out. 5) if you take the car to go to alms-giving, they will bring you to a location outside night market at 5am (not the best location), and it starts only at around 6.20am. It is again so strange.. I feel hotel staff lacks good training. Certain small things that are important to customer experience, are missing in the hotel although the hotel is very pretty. I just did not have a super pleasant experience although I was staying in a beautiful hotel.

A truly wonderful accommodation at Mybanlao: the facilities are clean, the decor is beautiful, and our rooms were more than satisfactory… if only the pool water were a little warmer when we visited at the end of November.

The staff was extremely helpful from greeting us every day to assisting us in booking transport and excursions. They also have a complimentary vehicle service into town which was extremely helpful. Don’t miss out on the spa services offered here either! My group felt tight from our travels and the spa staff did an excellent job of getting all of our kinks worked out.

We felt spoiled at Mybanlao as it was truly a wonderful experience. The turtle sanctuary was also a nice touch! Thank you so much for ensuring our stay was perfect. 10/5 stars!

Beautiful property in a good location. The hotel shuttle into the town was super helpful and convenient even though it was only a 15 minute walk in. The hotel staff are incredible - very friendly and always willing to help. Facilities were very good. Only thing about my room was that it did not have any natural light and was probably one of the few rooms to not have a good view. While the room i was in was beautiful and spacious, i did regret not asking to move rooms as i would have loved to be able to get a lot more natural light into the room in the morning. Would definitely recommend the hotel despite this. Also would be helpful if the hotel had a map available. In any case, i would highly recommend and would happily return.

Beautiful hotel with amazing hospitality!

We enjoyed our stay at BanLao very much. The hotel is recently renovated and they spared no expense. Thought of every detail to make the experience for the guest incredible. 5 star hospitality. Restaurant on-site, multiple bars, cafe, pool, spa and even a free shuttle in a cool electric vehicle to the night market. Again, everything you need to have an amazing vacation. We hope to visit again.
