Staff was very helpful, from the doorman to front desk and housekeeping. However the hotel itself is in detiorating condition. Little things are broken or poorly thought out.

I had a balcony room and had to downgrade to a regular due to mosquitos coming in through the closed door. Even when closed it still had a sizable gap they could fly right through. Had over thirty of them flying around and clinging to the ceiling.

The room I moved to had a broken phone and dead batteries in the TV remote. A shower head that would fly off its holder of you turned it up all the way. The sink stopper would spin like a coin and didn't seem to stay all the way open or closed. Probably more but those are what I remember.

I would not stay here again and I hope the lovely staff find better employment at a more well managed and maintained hotel.

The hotel is located in the red district of Balibago. The property has no parking for the guests. You will have to park on the street. If you are family or a couple, I do not recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was a cute little place for a quick two night stopover. The only real issue I had with the hotel is the restaurant did not accept credit cards. I flew in late and did not go and have money exchanged. I went to the restaurant and had a small meal only to find out afterwards that credit cards weren't accepted. I will say that the staff and manager were very friendly and did convert my money for me and accept cash.

Not worth your money. Rooms given to us all had issues

Room 1 (2nd floor) when we got inside the room, noticed that there were lots of mosquitos inside, upon checking, window was open! Had no choice but to ask for mosquito spray. Pillow covers had stains.

Room 2 (3rd floor) rain shower was broken. CR was flooding.

Room 3 so far was pretty okay.

Hope you can improve customer service. Pool was okay, restaurants upstairs only accept cash and no room charge. We had a misunderstanding with the staff cause we thought that food ordered will be billed to our rooms but when we were billing out, they said they only accept cash.

The only thing we loved was that they had car service going to the festival near sm clark. 👍👍👍 Kudos to thr kuya drivers.

If you are looking for just quick/cheap stay this is ok in a better location around the street and not too noisy. However, expect the room can be disappointing. Dirty room, plumbing issues, I requested non smoking but the room smell smokey, cockroaches, filthy, issues with their booking and staff aren’t friendly and uptight(not all).
Rooftop ambience and restaurant was great and service was good.
Overall stay 1/5.

Breakfast is simple, but staff could not match the simplicity of the breakfast. Breakfast quality and variety should be reviewed. Staff not well versed in service quality and product knowledge. Value for money is terrible. Room amenities, don't even have bedroom slippers, bathroom toilet seat dislodge, housekeeping not attentive to details, No coffee and tea making facilities. Fridge not working.

Just the pool is appreciated and receptionist are friendly, breakfast not bad we’re not too fuzzy on the food, but cleanliness very poor,first thing is the kettle is dirty and led is broken not safe to use, the bathroom have leaks and water in the floor is just everywhere,the bed was dirty and also under the bed dust is very thick and even the floor when you walk without sleepers it’s so dusty you can see it stick on your feet when you walk in the room, The bath also is blocked and the worst is in our second night we didn’t sleep as very noisy outside and you can hear it from the room we’re in 3rd floor. 😞 but thank you anyway I like the staff are friendly.. 🙂

Took longer than usual to check in, (check is after two, room wasn’t ready until after 4) once we got to the room no power, yes now power, told for 5 hours that it was as being worked on, finally moved to a different room, now no cable, and super super slow internet) breakfast included, but so cheap not even coffee or water included. Basically great friendly staff, new building but obviously really poor management, no soap, one towel...had better amenities at a hostel...again great staff but obviously BAD Management !!!

the staff were friendly. the restaurant waitress and the cook were very friendly. but the breakfast meal you purchase for $4 is not worth it.there are 4 meals you can choose from the purchased breakfast menu. the day i went to get breakfast, they had no bacon and no jam. didnt ask for anything else.

Hotel is easy 5 minute walk to the strip. We stayed at Appollonia for the non-smoking room. Staff were courteous. The room is basic, but has a HD satellite TV. Won't stay again for a couple of reasons. First, the room had a hot water pot, but no mugs/cups for hot water. Door had card lock with integrated inside deadbolt that could be opened with master card, but no independent inside chain or security latch. The front desk offered us a wake-up call, but never called. Also, apparently I selected a room for two, but with 1 breakfast. Why would anyone want a room for two and one breakfast? We took the breakfast \"to-go\", gave it to our trike driver, and then ate at Margarita Station (recommended)

Checked in at night and person checking us in was so cold. It felt like it was an inconvience for her to do her job.

Feels unsafe at this hotel. Loud and roudy hotel patrons. People working here don't seem to be professional or helpful. This hotel needs the owner to get a grip of their team.

Front office staff are rude and lazy

Frequent traveller here. First stay at Apollonia.
Night Front office staff are more concerned with facebook and sending messages than attending to guests.

Common decency is missing from the night front office staff.

Front office ladies can be overheard searching for other jobs and discussing pay rates openly in front of customers - it just shows how much they value their current job, henceforth the horrible attitude to us.

Room staff are respectful and efficient.

Would we stay at the Apollonia again? No - it is just too seedy and reminds me of an 1970's hotel with a semi fresh lick of paint applied to mask it's past.

Stay away from the Apollonia. Pay that extra few dollars and go to another hotel - you will thank me for this advice

Best stay ever!

I previously rated Apollonia Royale but had to rate again. Had a great stay there! Staff were friendly as always. Room was clean, very functional, comfortable and quiet. Located conveniently near mall and walking street but far enough away to where it was quiet. The complimentary water bottles were really nice. The staff are the main reason I will always stay there. Very friendly and helpful. I was especially appreciative of Clarise (front desk) who helped me so much during my stay. From shopping advice, a friendly smile and greeting to making transportation arrangements for me. She truly represents what hospitality should be like.

Have been staying here since it was nearly new, which isn't all that long ago, but it is starting to get a little bit tired in a couple of places. Nothing that a lick of paint and some minor renovations wouldn't cure. Still a very decent little hotel, not the bargain it was when it opened, but nice little cafe at the front, very pleasant and accommodating staff and location is great. I would stay here again unless price got too high. Wifi always good. Very quiet street means never any noise from bars.

WE BOOKED 4 NIGHTS IN THEIR HOTEL! WHEN WE ARRIVED THEY DOWNGRADED US TO AN APARTELLE WHICH ONLY COSTS P1300/RM! WE PAID MORE THAN WE BARGAINED FOR! FOR ALMOST 1 WEEK, THEY STILL DIDN'T GAVE US OUR CHANGE (P4,508). I have recently retired here in the \Philippines, after extensive travel experience in North America. I understand that problems exist wherever a person travels. No exceptions! It is how the hotel staff responds to problems that separates good performance rating from weaker ones. Apollonia Royale u had problems for sure, including TV inefficiency,...but the staff minimized the problem and fixed the problem area.

That is all I can expect, and appreciate! Many hotels feel they offer \"customer service\" but it is disguised as \"Customer Exccuses\" ze I like Applonia because they understand Customer Service.....all they need is to attempt to minimize problems before they enlarge!

Hotel new and suites were very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. About 5 minute walk away from main streets which is nice as the area was very quiet. Complimentary breakfast each day consisted of 3 items to choose from but they do change the menu every day.

good location

value is quite good, I paid around 29 usd ex taxes, etc.
i like the 24 h room service, that helps a lot if you want to stay late. There is a good gym on Theodoro St. just two blocks away, two min. walk from the hotel. Staff is very nice in this hotel. It's clean, well maintained. The TV wasn't always working? Wifi is actually quite fast for a budget hotel in PH, I could stream quite normally.

Another decent stay. Nothing special about this hotel but another decent stay. If you're on a budget and want a clean decent room not too far from the action of Angeles this isn't a bad deal. Bathrooms could be cleaner as there are some signs of mildew in the cracks along the tiles.

Close to the actions, but not noisy

I enjoyed my self by having a nice daily walk after breakfast and then enjoy a nice shower in my room, then I go a choose place to have a massage from numerous places, then you can go for lunch at one of many resturants to choose from or you can take a walk to the mall and there you can spend time eating or shopping or to enjoy air conditioning and people watching

friendly, helpful hotel with good staff, welcome (soft) drink is a nice touch. room was adequate size, with small and fairly expensive minibar. food in the hotel's little cafe/bar is very nice (more of a cafe really although it does drinks, but closes around midnight). it's not right on the strip but is a few blocks away and while the streets are dark i've never felt unsafe walking around. Would recommend.

Our stay at Apollonia was great, especially for the price. We had quite a problem regarding booking at first but they were responsible enough to make everything work out better for us. The room and the wifi were great. Food was good. Staff were good, except maybe the morning shift at their restaurant during our stay who I think were a bit unprofessional with all the indiscreet chatting and stuff. Location was good, close to the mall, but it was a bit scary walking around at night since the area is residential.

A very impressive modern budget hotel

POSITIVES – Very good price, well located, virtually new, modern, impressive room design.

NEGATIVES – Not much apart from breakfast.

SUMMARY – Overall I was very pleasantly pleased with the hotel and would recommend it for very serious consideration. Frankly you can not really go wrong.

DETAILS
I stayed for 3 nights in November 2015.

My 4th floor room was very modern, clean and well set out. It only had a double (not king) sized bed, a dressing table, a wardrobe, a modern electronic safe, a fridge and a decent sized bathroom with modern fixtures. There was enough hot water and the shower worked well. Toiletries were provided including a toothbrushes and they were topped up enough. There was a modern medium sized flat screen TV with which you could receive a some English speaking channels – very good. I slept well.

Breakfast was not included but I did buy one for £2. I did not enjoy at all.

The room was cleaned every day. I found the staff to be exceptionally pleasant, friendly and helpful – brilliant and well done!

The hotel located off Fields Avenue… a couple of minutes walk from the main street.

The free wifi worked well on all of my devices.

I would give them 9 out of 10 and recommend the hotel for very serious consideration. I would stay there again base on price and quality provision.

PS.. you even get a free drink when you arrive and a free cocktail every day!!

Good for a budget stay...solid 3 star hotel.

Good little hotel off the beaten path in Angeles City. Nothing spectacular but if you're looking to enjoy AC on a budget it's not bad. A bit of a walk to get to Fields Ave but not too bad. Nothing is really around the hotel. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Felt safe.

This town is a prostitution town, if you didmt know before coming here. I didnt. The hotel is decent, but in the middle of the activities, and when my massaseur turned up with full makeup at 2am, I was so surprised. Service is less kind than other hotels I have been to around Manila.

Pleasant new hotel away from traffic noise

I had a pleasant six night stay in a superior room at Apollonia.

The hotel is well located on a quiet side street close to the nightlife, and whilst it does have its own bar and restaurant I did not use those.

My room was nicely furnished with a comfortable armchair, an overly soft bed, and a decent view over the surrounding neighbourhood, wifi was quite adequate, the en-suite bathroom was clean and had ample hot water.

I would be happy to stay here again.

Exactly what I was looking for. Affordable price, the right distance from Fields Ave as it is close enough to walk but far enough to be quiet to sleep. Very close to SM Clark, a laundry place just around the corner along with the best money changer in Angeles and a couple of convenient scooter rental places. Reception always lovely and 24 hours, hotel is girl friendly and the restaurant is good with a complimentary cocktail on arrival. Highly recommended.

new hotel, close to fields ave, sm Clarke,rooms are good and clean. staff are friendly and helpful. restaurant is good and not overpriced. security 24/7. owner is really hands on. cleaning is excellent and suits your timetable. lift works. on the whole it is avery nice place to stay. would I return? YES

Walkin rate very much cheaper compared to online

New hotel but provides very basic necessities. Just a bed, a fridge, a small soap, a small bottle of shampoo, a tooth brush in additional of two towels and two bottles of mineral water. No water heater, no other basic toiletries needs. Furthermore hotel is located at a lane deep inside at the end of the busting road where most cheaper hotels with better facilities are located with better amenities provided. No Breakfast provided too

Awesome Stay

Great staff! Hotel was clean and comfortable. Close enough to walking street to walk but far enough away where the neighborhood is quiet. Internet worked well in my room and housekeeping kept the room well maintained. Will be my hotel of choice whenever in AC.

A quiet and beautiful room

We arrived from the hotel at about 9pm. Check in was a brief at Apollonia Royale Hotel. Staff were friendly and smiling always. My and my friend both got our rooms on the 4th floor. We asked for a smoking room but none was available as it was full house. Ended up having to smoke outside the main hotel lobby. Fine with that though :) We were led up to our rooms by the front office receptionist. The only setback i had was the room keycard access was not working. I was given the main key instead to lock and unlock. Other than that, the rooms was simple yet pretty. Toilet hot water was functioning very well(thumbs up) with shower and bathtub. The minibar was stocked up and 2 bottles of water complimentary daily. The air con was cold and tv has good channels. The room had a window but could not open that one though. There is a working desk also. Funny thing is, there is no mirror in the room.. i would have preferred a mirror in the room.. the only mirror was in the bathroom. You are also given a soap, shower gel and 2 toothbrushes. We can access anywhere by calling a trike. If you would like to head on to the busy streets, you can walk also. Not too far a journey.. 10 minutes walking distance. We did not try the in house bar/cafe as we enjoyed the local food outside. Cheap and yummy.

This is a budget hotel. Two small water bottles on first day only, not after. Very cheap foam mattress for a bed. Ants in the room and on the bed. No where to place your bag, except on the floor. I will no be going back!

Quiet neighborhood, close to mall.

Cozy hotel, with very friendly and flexible staff. Very inexpensive and plenty of hot water. Back up generator in case of brown-outs. Nice cafe inside hotel.
