Room neglected, run down. Double room, was two shoddy single beds pushed together, pillows smelt. Room was extremely cold, when turned heat on, was so noisey, and very loud from outside noise. Asked about drinking water, was sent to the bar for a bottle which was €6.50

The room was not cleaned properly. The remote for the TV was missing.
We did not include breakfast with our stay. We had breakfast at Mama's pancake and it was great.
The location is superb. Tram no. 4 and 14 stops across from the hotel with service to the Central Station.
Lots of restaurants close by.

The room was very small and the hotel smelt like a dirty litter box. The beds had hairs in them and you could tell the floors and walls had not been washed in a very very long time. The breakfast buffet was overall ok but there were some things that looked potentially old (not fresh).

Pros -
Check in was friendly enough - I do note was convenient for arrival time after travel delays.

Grateful for English speaking.

Good location.

Safe door systems to stairs and lift use - good protection for anyone wandering in.

Cons -
Room size restrictive, one way system to pass another person.

Tea and coffee in room facility terrible - the only plug sockets available are on an adapter right beside the pillow. To boil the kettle, you have to set up on the floor next to the bed.
No milk, told there might be a fee for milk so didn't bother any further, saved me from making drinks on the floor anyway.

Odd bed lamp coming away from the headboard.

Drippy shower head (ie. Once off, it just kept dripping), low water pressure, bit of a cheap shower head.

Safe in the wardrobe needs replacing, the door needed to be lifted in a particular way to open again.

+ Woke up with someone else's long hair stuck to my face.

Average at best, definitely not a 4 star hotel as proclaimed online in places.

We booked a twin room but when we went in, the bathroom door didnt close and we were told it couldnt be looked at until the next day and they said they were fully booked so we would have to make do so I asked for a refund and then they found a spare room which was to small to fit in with our cases and the 2 single beds were joined without any room to seperate them. I asked for a refund because it wasnt useable but was refused and had to find another hotel at additional cost

Expect a smaller room and staying in Rembrandtplein to be a little noisy at night. But overall it is an amazing area to stay at. The hotel and staff were excellent and never had an issue with our stay. Breakfast was as expected with a good variety to start your day. The patio diner had good food and was great to sit at and relax after a long day. Would recommend

This property is located in a very noisy(at night) square so keep that in mind before booking. Also not very clean. Terrible housekeeping. Floor was not cleaned during our stay. There was dust everywhere on the floor even when we first checked in the floor was dirty. Shower tap was broken which after reporting in the morning they came in the evening and fixed it. Property seem to be run down, old furniture and very dark breakfast area with very limited option for breakfast which didn’t look appetizing. If I go back I would choose a different hotel.

The receptionist was trying to be funny saying I looked like I’ve had a lot of beers… kinda awkward after that. Proceeded to give a lot of unwarranted recommendations. The room was clean but the bed had a lot of glitter (lol) that I would wake up with and have to shower. One night at 3am fireworks went off for a good amount of time that woke me. I don’t know if I’d stay here again.

Supposedly this is a 4 star hotel. It felt like 2 stars at best. The room was small for European standards, there was no room between the bed and the desk and it was impossible to sit down at the desk chair. It was not possible to control the heating - we could set the temperature, but that temperature was not maintained, it continued to heat, so we had to turn the heating off at night because it was impossible to sleep because the room got too hot, but this meant the room was freezing when we woke up. There was no refridgerator in the room in a 4 star hotel!? The shower cubicle leaked water which meant the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower and we had to mop up the excess using towels. The bathroom sink tap was sensor-controlled which randomly stopped working and we had to wait 5 minutes for it to work again. The cleaners moved our clothes that we had left to dry in the room, which meant they hadn't dried properly when we got back to the hotel. The worst thing was the smell - the hotel reception, lift and stairs all stank of sewage/as if something had died, and sometimes this smell came into the room. There was an ice rink outside the hotel which played loud music from about 7pm to midnight (until 1 or 2am at weekends), this wouldn't have been an issue if the hotel had any kind of soundproofing. Our room windows were draughty and when the wind blew we could see the curtains move. The only recommendable thing about the hotel is the location.

Basic room is VERY small.
Perfect for 2 people who are happy to be in close proximity to each other.
Beds very comfortable and shower was amazing.
Very little storage room.
Dont book this room if you have big bags. We had x2 small backpacks and had to stand them by the door.

Breakfast was good, lots of options to suit.
Staff were very friendly and helpful

Location is fantastic.
Right opposite the tram stop so easy to get the number 14 or 4 to the Central Train Station.
Everything is in walking distance and there are lots of places to eat and drink all around the square the hotel is on.

Unfortunately our stay had bed bugs which really hurt our trip to Amsterdam. I will say the staff was very accommodating they did switch our room on the 3rd night and they paid for cream that my partner needed to help heal the bites. Average stay overall. The staff were great , i think they need some attention to their cleaning staff.

This hotel was perfection! The staff was amazing and they really accommodated my needs! If you want to be in the middle, literally the middle of everything this is it. The only con is the room is small compared to American standards. But worth it! The bathroom is so convenient and comfortable! The view to Rembrandt Park and a smooth walk to anywhere! I’d stay here again!

Very disappointed with the hotel. Small and cramped, nothing like the pictures make it out to be spacious etc. Windows are single glazed and can hear all the drunk noises and fighting outside. Bed are 2 single beds despite us asking for a double. Parking is the biggest nightmare, states on Expedia that there is valet parking but that is no such thing, info and prices are out dated on Expedia page. Even though there is a Q Park Bank a 2mins walk, driving there will take you nearly half hour due to the nightmare 1 way streets of Amsterdam, staff isn't helpful at the hotel on guiding you.

This property is mostly awful. Some staff members are downright surely. Towels threadbare. Carpet is halls in shreds. Crappy soap. I wouldn’t even try the food. One bright spot was bed was comfortable and shower clean with good pressure. This is a 2⭐️ place at best.

DO NOT STAY THERE, I promise you will regret it. First of all, I had a room that was booked based on the size and photos I chose, they gave me a room the size of a small washroom. My friend and I couldn’t walk in the room at the same time. Second, the water was not working in the room we told the reception and the guy came upstairs to check. He told us the guy on his way to fix it and nothing happened in 3 days we were there. We had to book another hotel (3 stars) which was bigger and better than what we booked. This hotel is defiantly a 1 or 2 star max not 4 as they claimed. I will contact expedia to escalate my situation. I asked to get the bigger room and they said we don’t have them available. However; moments after a couple walked in and booked a walk in bigger room on the spot. Trust me don’t stay there I promise you will regret it. Staff was the rudest they will not acknowledge your situation and your requests even though you are willing to pay

Rooms are tiny, travelled on my own but would have not wanted to share that room even with my wife. As many other people mentioned, lots long black hairs in my bedlinen and towels. No idea why they can't be more carefull with that.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 our trip was canceled and the property refuse to refund our money. The only option they gave was to reschedule within a year. However, we all know that the coronavirus is still spreading and we don’t know when a cure is in sight or vaccine. So, unfortunately we were just out of our money. We had two other hotels, a cruise, and two different flight itineraries that all refunded our money because of COVID-19.

Wonderful Stay

Easy to find and not too far from the main tourist strip. Easy walking distance from the Red Light District. Hotel overlooks a beautiful square with interesting statues and has shops cafés and restaurants all around.

Lovely modern, spacious room with an extremely comfortable double bed on request and a delicious breakfast.

If you need help getting to the hotel for the first time, do not just get a cab like my partner did as it will cost you at least €37 which we had to pay when the taxi driver turned a 20 minute walk into a 25 minute drive!! (worst part of the entire trip!). The hotel have a taxi service they recommend with fixed prices.

All was fine however I had paid for and reserved a superior deluxe double room. The best that the hotel had to offer.

When I got there the room was not that big at all. And although we had a bay window facing Rembrandt square, the room itself was very underwhelming. We also arrived to find a twin setup rather than a double and had to wait for 30 mins for it to be switched around which was annoying.

If you like late night bars and dancing, this is the place to stay! The hotel is very expensive but it’s worth it because of the cleanliness, the nice staff and the location is very central to everything you would want to see in Amsterdam!

Booked this for a friends trip to Amsterdam, wanted something on Rembrandt square and something half decent!

Booked a superior room and had a massive balcony overlooking the square! Hotel were really relaxed about everything and I’d highly recommend staying again! Only thing that I thought room should have had as it was superior was an iron but apart from that I’ve no complaints

Great central location in Rembrandt Square. The only issue with having a view over the front of the hotel was it was lively outside until 3.30am and the double glazing couldn’t fully mask the sound!

Bad Points - receptionist tried to charge 25 Euro per night per person extra just because the room had a dirty small tiny balcony (in the end I gave her 25 Euro in total and that was it!) the dark decor covers up how untidy the hotel really is / tv was intermittently working / the drain in bathroom sink was blocked and slowly sewage went down

Definately not a 4 star hotel maybe a 2.5

The hotel is in a good location for bar and restaurant access. However the rooms are incredibly small and this is maybe a 2.5 star quality hotel. The room we were in should have only had a single twin bed and not a double. There was about 12 inches of space between the bed and two walls. The bed was right next to the window and the bar crowds are loud until late into the night.
