The room service was unsatisfactory. The bedsheets were not clean, the iron and ironing board were dirty and the iron was not functional. The cups were not washed, and despite three attempts to get a clean kettle (including a promised delivery the following morning), none was provided. A complaint about the malfunctioning mini-fridge was ignored, and there was also a disruption to the water supply.

Best hotel past tense

Booked one hotel room but given the whole hotel building. No one stay in this hotel. No staff on duty during checkin at 6pm. Only security guard available. All TV channel has been disconnected/terminated. Bad wifi. Booked with breakfast but upon checkin security informed that no breakfast is served during movement control orders period. Dimmed lobby. I feel haunted. Central air conditioning has been shutdown to save cost. Rooms are installed with acond which is not conducive after 6hts turned on. Room and lobby are hot. Bad ventilation and smelly corridor. Check out to other hotel at 11pm the same night. Returning the keys to security guard during check out

Did not bother offer any compensation after all the above troubles. Enclosed images of gloomy lobby and empty parking.

Used to be one of the best in Malacca town but now is totally rundown ( to my opinion).

Not accurate nor no updated reviews given on hotels.com web/app.

Dissapointed with the 2 nights stay

Breakfast provided by hotel is poor. They serve the same food for my 2 days breakfast. Porridge was so watery and have a sour smell. Cut fruits not fresh. Roti prata is oily and hard. Vegetables for the noodle soup section not fresh and dry. Upon check out, waited for the concierge to help with our bags but no sign of him and end up we need to push our the trolley ourselves. Front desk cannot find our booking upon check in and happened twice.

If you want a peaceful quite business trip overnight stay, this hotel is less than ideal. While many big hotels cater for tour groups, a total lack of control over said tour group who invaded the hotel and lobby was appalling. A good GM or duty manager could speak to tour leaders and settle things down. Other than that, the hotel is nice and food great. One would assume loud in you face management meetings could be located away from cafe and public areas, we don't all want to know the hotels private business.

Pleasant staycation 2D1N in Malacca with family

A mixed experience @ Kings Hotel.

Well The room is spacious and clean, with balcony and nice city view.
Overall, its a little expensive because suppose to include breakfast, but since I am a muslim, so breakfast is replace with the late supper iftar. But the menu is so poor not worth the value of breakfast.
I think the management should look into this which happens once a year during the Ramadhan.

Not satisfied with the location of the room, because I requesting for the room with nice view or scenery or facing swimming pool. What I get is the room at the back of the hotel. Not very nice scenery behind the hotel. Actually last year I booked at the same hotel but got the same location of the room, behind the hotel. Maybe is the price that I paid for because I booked the room 3 months before the date.

A good hotel for families, but far from Jonker

The room that we got was big and spacious, and the morning buffet breakfast was delicious - Nasi Lemak was served. Our room had the sound of water dripping from the ventilation pipe every now and then. Door was not very sound-proof either. Staff at the breakfast area was extremely courteous.

I had bad experience with the hotel breakfast cafe service, spoilt my holiday mood.
I had clarified my booking with 3 breakfast with cafe waitress that checked my identity when enter the cafe, but they insist my booking have only 2 breakfast and stop us to go in with not professional way.I feel embarrassing when my guest volunteer to have his breakfast outside,but later when I check with receptionist, confirmed my booking is 3 pax breakfast, then only the cafe waitress just reply, system written. But actually her distance with receptionist not more than 10 feet!
The worst is, when I go in with my guest to enjoy our 30 mins left breakfast section, the other waiters and waitresses still doubt about 2 or 3 PAx breakfast and still comment beside us...Their service and attitude need to be upgraded.Is not a matter of 2 or 3 pax breakfast, I even can pay for that but the staff attitude is totally not acceptable,So offensive .
Is this the way Malacca people treat tourist under VISIT MALACCA slogan?

hotel rooms were pretty cramped as there was a queen and single bed in the room. no sitting area in the room and limited walking space. However, having a food court nearby and Aeon Mall not too far away was a plus. Breakfast was ok but chef handling eggs needs to be better trained as most eggs were barely cooked.
Would definitely come again as the price is right for what it offers.

Large Room for Triple-Sharing

This is the first time that our triple-sharing room is so spacious and there is even a small sitting area. Previously our triple-sharing room has very little room between the double and single beds for walking and the toilet is half the size. From this trip, it feels like they simply added another single bed into a normal twin-sharing room.

The pillows were firm and this is the rare occasion we need not ask for extra pillows. This is definitely a plus plus point. We had a good night sleep.

Check-in was fast even though there was a coach of tourist checking in. Checkout was just as fast and easy. MYR50 deposit was required upon checkin.

Only down side is that we had to ask for the 3rd set of towel, toiletries, slippers, cup, tea and coffee for the 3rd guest. The room seemed to be for 2 pax.

Decent hotel in the Melaka city outskirts

It is quite a decent stay here in Melaka. The check-in and check-out time was quick, staff was so friendly and helpful. Ample parking space available. Room is good for a night's rest. Decent television channel options. Very affordable prices as well.

Not so good for light sleepers.

Staff were attentive and professional. Room is generally clean, only some corners were a little dusty.

The biggest issue is soundproofing-you can hear everything from the corridors, and doors slamming at 6am-7am every morning. At night, live music from the hotel bar can be heard as well. We were on the 4th floor.

Room service was good, convenient and relatively afforable!

Bright spacious and comfortable hotel

Lovely bright and spacious room ,comfortable bed, large shower in good size bathroom. All the amenities you would want.,including good air conditioning. We made good use of the swimming pool. There is a gym but we didn't use it. The restaurant serves good Asian food and is very comfortable with attentive, friendly staff. We could not fault staff at any point in our stay. Always friendly and helpful.
Two downsides. There is a live band in the bar six nights a week, which is great if you want to be up till 1.00am enjoying it, but even on the fifth floor the noise from the bar kept us awake. Also the breakfast was not great.

I stayed at the hotel for a night with my husband and baby girl. Booked a room with a queen bed and a single bed. The bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom was clean as well. My girl loves the swimming pool.
The breakfast spread was adequate.
The only downside was that there's no fridge in the room.
