I shared my reviews with my friends on FB that Lloyd’s Inn deserved @ least a 1-nite stay in Bali even if they don’t plan on visiting Seminyak!! The Housekeeping staff was excellent; making sure my bed was made daily, towels changed whenever I needed, & teabags replenished every day! Water was hot with a huge bathtub on the balcony with a view of surrounding trees!! The breakfast food was yummy, plentiful & delicious!! I didn’t plan on eating there every day as I wanted to try other food but ended up I did as I saved on skipping lunch because I was so full!! The restaurant staff were friendly, helpful & polite! And so were the reception staff!! Since my trip to Bali was on a whim, I went sightseeing to places they recommended & I loved it! I went to a local Karaga Festival that was intriguing & fun! If you are a swimmer or surfer, Double 6 Beach would be nice for you. For me, I enjoyed my time @ the hotel pool instead!! I discovered too late on my last day, that they had a really nice Reading/ Meditating Room! My stay was extremely comfortable, quiet & relaxing!! I am so pleased with my stay there that I am going to look for other Lloyd’s Inn in other places!!

Very relaxing room. The shower head hose came off the 2nd time I used the shower. It was easily reattached but I doubt it was secure.

2nd, the toilet seemed to be spray painted. When the toilet seat came down a bit harder, paint chips flew everywhere. This led me to question why the toilet was painted. There was also a bit of mildew behind the shower/toilet door that remained in the two days I stayed there. Minor, but it was noticeable.

Swimming pool was off limits - no notice, no compensation provided. The driveway was sometimes impossible to walk through due to puddles of water after the rain - staff didn't bother to do anything about it. Been here 3 times before, it used to be chic but now quite run down. The toilets need replacement - showing its age. Otherwise, great location, close to the beach.

Sheets are unsanitary, rooms are breaking down and the mosquitos are abundant.

Service recovery was fine: moved me to a new room but for housekeeping to witness the air conditioning leak (brown water dripping all over my pillow, where my face would be) and stained sheets, very very dusty furnishing and just assume the guest would be fine dealing with it. That’s just wild customer service.

I had an amazing time staying at Lloyds inn Seminyak. It is located in the super convenient area which you have many options for dinner, cafe, spa, souvenir etc. Everything you need is in the area. Best thing that I liked the most is that the hotel is really close to the beach. You can easily to just walk 5min to the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset like every day! I'd like give a big shout out to Rista who works at the restaurant/cafe at the first floor. She was really friendly to talk to and always helped me what to order for dinner. All the foods by Rista’s recommendation were so good! She made my time and stay much better.
Thank you Rista and Lloyd’s inn for everything!

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Lloyd’s. The first room we were given was not great. We were apparently upgraded from a standard room to the next level up, but when we got into the room there was a mouldy smell and the bedsheets were damp. Given it was late afternoon we didn’t bother moving, but the staff were very accomodating and told us we could move when we were ready.
The second room was much better, you still get the wet/mouldy smell in the bathrooms.
As people have mentioned in previous reviews, you can hear a lot from the hallways, the doors are very thin.
It was fine for the price we paid but there would be better options in the area.

We enjoyed our stay, largely in part to the staff, however based on other reviews of Lloyd’s hotels we were fairly disappointed. Linens were not clean, shower head was falling off and had little pressure and we had to change rooms due to the foul smell. Was a pity as the place looks amazing, however the build quality is horrible

Very impressed for a 3 star. Lovely room amenities (robes, tea, coffee & water daily). Easy walk down to Double Six beach La Plancha. Not a lot of room around the pool but sun loungers up near the spa. For one person the room was spacious enough, though rooms a little dark and the acoustics were a bit loud given the hotel is a lot of concrete. Breakfast was pretty basic, but fine, does the job. Great staff, excellent experience

Lloyd's Inn is a very visually pleasing accomodation option in Seminyak. It has a very unique look and vibe about it, great for taking photos. However there were a few things that we (my friend and i, mid 20's) were a little disappointed in. We stayed in the Sky Room for 5 nights. The rooms are smaller than what the photos suggest, but we were not too fussed about this. Our shower and toilet were outside on the balcony with a shower curtain, but every time you showered you would get water everywhere. The water would end up pooling in certain spots, (e.g. around the toilet) meaning you would get wet feet every time you went to use the toilet as there was water around. The bath also leaked. Secondly, the cleaning service was good however it was very inconsistent. Some days they would clean the room at 10-11am and then other days we come back from exploring the streets at about 4pm and our room was still not cleaned. Thirdly, the breakfast is quite limited compared to other resorts/villas/hotels in Seminyak. There are a lot of different breads and Asian cuisine options, but few sweet options (e.g. pancakes). You have the option to order from two breakfast dishes each morning (Asian or Western) which is nice, but every time we ordered the Western we found the bread was not toasted, the bacon was not cooked properly (basically still ham) and sometimes the eggs were overcooked. Fourthly, there are only 7 beds around the pool which makes it quite difficult if the hotel is busy.

It's a beautifully designed place. No doubt about it. But it's inconveniently located (takes 10 minutes for a taxi to arrive, and is at least a 30 min drive to Seminyak Village), and the walls are so incredibly thin. We were situated near the lift lobby which meant we could hear every lift ding and every guest as they shuffled their way to their rooms. We could hear our neighbours snoring and also their 7am alarms that they ignored. We could hear the drunk party goers coming back at 3am. Also, the doors don't close well, and twice we've accidentally left our room door open because it doesn't click. This happens to multiple guests as we've spotted a few doors slightly ajar. Props to the staff as nothing has gone missing, but they might want to upgrade their doors and somehow soundproof the rooms.

Smell in washroom, dirty sheets

Dirty sheets and a smell from the washroom!
After seeing so many IG photos and recommendations from influencers, I made a booking in their Standard Room in Bali for a two night stay in October. Unfortunately, the sheets on the bed were stained on one side of the bed, not washed correctly) and 2 of the towels also had a stain. This was really disappointing. Also at night there was a smell from the washroom, from the shower mainly so we had to keep the door closed at night and turn the aircon to get rid of the smell. We also rented bikes at 100k Rp per day, the quality of the bike was terrible. All of this was not what I would expect from Lloyds as I looked forward to this stay so much. Other than that, the design of the hotel was great and breakfast was also plentiful.

The aesthetics of the property is definitely well thought through but the very narrow entrance to the property, the lack of cleanliness (dirty sheets, even after changing once) and the lack of professionalism from the staff reduced my experience greatly.

They sent staff to do work on the property in the morning, even for rooms that have an outdoor bathtub, so the workers were blatantly looking down into my room without thinking that they are invading my privacy. Had to call and let the staff to pause the works. They didn’t seem apologetic, only just reacting to the situation like I was a minor inconvenience.

The common area like the lobby area, swimming pool and lounge are all super gram worthy. A really comfortable space to chillax at.

But the room wasn’t up to par. While it have basic amenities like dryer and TV, the downside was some items started to get stains and yellowish such as the bathroom tap or the shower curtain. Am surprised as this is a relatively new property of less than a year old. Hopefully they will do sth about it.

We had a great 2 day stay at Lloyd's Inn in Seminyak! Staff were so amazing and helpful, the hotel was modern, rooms were great! Really loved the bathtub in a leafy outside setting and the King sized bed was divine! The pool area was small and didn't get any sun; however, it was nevertheless relaxing to retreat to when we had spent the majority of the days in blazing sun at the beach. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay at a modern hotel with a good vibe in a really convenient location!

Don’t be fooled by the photos

I couldn’t wait to leave this place and it partially ruined my trip. The pool gets no sun and there is nowhere to lay around the pool. Rooms can’t be locked from the inside to the bathroom meaning someone could access your room if they climbed up the wall. Because all bathrooms are outside of all rooms, the rooms are not sealed up and can be accessed by mosquitos. Beds need mosquito nets. Tv worked but only showed local stations and no satellite networks so not one English speaking channel for 6 days. Staff were little help for anything and didn’t seem interested in feedback. Just gave assurances that rooms could not be accessed and said that they couldn’t fix the tv issue or that it was an actual issue. It is if you are sick and can’t leave the room. The only good thing about this hotel was the wifi as far as im concerned. Service was poor and missed the mark. I feel like I got totally ripped a new one for the price I paid to stay here. 2 star at best

Like the modern minimalist styling but came at an expense.
Concrete everywhere with no floor coverings so the noise of foot traffic and wheeled luggage echoed through out the building.
The two lifts were in constant use day and night.
When the doors opened a ringing bell sound was made which was a like constant alarm call, unfortunately very little sleep was had.
On a good note the staff were very approachable and always happy to help.

We send our laundry at 6am and they promise to return on the day at night but they were only able to return at following day 9am. We were panicking for the delay of 1-day laundry. Bath tub was awesome, there were some stains in the toilet and basin. Encountered some water choking. No tiles on the floor and difficult to get in.

the price of this hotel thats really conveniently located near double six beach, seminyak, was really value for money. the aesthetics surrounding the design of the hotel were really one of a kind, i've previously stayed in lloyd's inn singapore and staying in lloyd's inn bali truly didn't disappoint. customer service was top notch, daily breakfast + buffet were always switched up to avoid repetition. i stayed for about 5 nights in the hotel, my room was always clean and tidy whenever i got back. perhaps, if there was one thing i wanted an improvement, it'd just be the portions whenever i ordered the hotel's food service. i would've ordered nightly from the hotel if they've given bigger portions for the mains/snacks. i chose to deliver in most nights due to the underwhelming portions that barely fills the stomach. other than that, truly pleased with my stay! not to forget all the amazing Instagram shots you can take all over the hotel. thank you lloyd's inn bali.

My two night stay turned in to a 5 night, and then 7 night stay.... that’s how much I liked the hotel and the area. The hotel has a very minimal westernized design in a good way. Because my plans kept changing, I stayed in various rooms, all fantastic with separate enclosed “garden” seating. Lydia at the front desk, and the restaurant staff were the absolute best when it came to customer service!! Speaking of the restaurant, the food!!!! I have never been to a hotel with such amazing food, and I’ve traveled all over the world. Also I’ve become a bit a of a food snob because I live in NYC where is food is incredible, but the free breakfast is fantastic and on-par.
For lunch I urge you to order the avocado and prawn tacos (they sellout by the evening so run), also the linguine is great, and buns not so much.
Venture up 10-15 min by car (I recommend GOJEK or Grab...so much cheaper and it’s a set price, no scams) and try La Favela, Mama San, and Potato Head Beach Club -Enjoy!

the rave about lloyds inn definitely lived up to its name! lovely space tucked away from the bali crowd and tranquil enough for a relaxing trip. love the vibes of the place as well as the friendliness of the hotel staff. would definitely love to stay again when i’m in bali!

Enjoyed the decor of the room and bed was comfortable. However, you will need to access a tiny and uneven alley in order to get to the hotel, which might not be suitable for seniors.

One of my best stays out of my whole Bali trip! The hotel was beautiful, walking distance to double six beach with countless restaurant options including La Plancha. Great to watch the sunset.
The modern vibe of the rooms were beautifully done, the tub was AMAZING! The hotel property itself was very aesthetically pleasing. Very instagramable if you’re into that. Staff at the restaurant were friendly.
My only complaint is the room didn’t have the two prong indonisian plug, they had the multi prong (maybe European or whatever?) Plug I guess to please their regular tourists. But as I came from Canada I had already purchased the Indonesian plug to charge my phone. They did however have USB plugs on the bed to charge my phone, but as they were extremely low wattage my phone would hardly charge. That was my only complaint, but with saying that it was not a big deal as I would happily stay again. I was even trying to book a room again on my last few nights of my trip, but unfortunately they were sold out.

A disappointing, mediocre stay.

Had rather high (or say, positive) expectations or Lloyd’s inn, given the hype and reputation from Singapore. However, the stay was exactly the concerns mentioned by other travellers - the bad sounding proofing and construction works in place.

I was served by mediocre staff upon arrival (a big different in comparison to the friendly locals in villas) and was given a room beside another that was undergoing construction even at 9pm. The sound proofing was so bad that I can hear works going on, British ladies conversations, and a China couple making love (probably on the floor above). The bed was comfortable but the stay wasn’t with all those going on. In addition, there are ants and mosquitoes in the room, and a couple of millipedes here and there. Not exactly clean nor comfortable. Staffs are not friendly either. When I was checking out, a staff asked me to fill up a feedback card and when I told him I didn’t exactly have a good stay, he immediately told me I don’t have to fill up the card - he didn’t even bother to ask why and what happened. Clearly he didn’t care.

I was glad that I booked another stay at a villa which is worth twice/thrice the price paid at Lloyd’s inn.

While I will never stay at this hotel again, I do give credits to the aesthetic vibe and appeal of the hotel, but no doubt does it require more than aesthetic appeal to draw value.
